Sewage storage tank in the building. Sewage containers: plastic wells and storage tanks

In some cases the house cannot be connected to centralized system sewerage, for example, if the cottage is located far from the city. In this case, experts advise using plastic storage containers for sewage (photo below). Plastic sewerage tanks are manufactured in compliance with strict requirements, because... designed for collecting contaminated water and storing it. Plastic containers for sewage are considered the best for these purposes.

Most of the storage systems for sewerage and plastic containers are located underground. For this reason, special requirements for strength characteristics are imposed on containers so that plastic tanks for sewage can withstand the weight of the soil. Also, containers must be resistant to aggressive chemicals.

Compliance with all requirements will allow a plastic storage tank for sewage to last sufficiently in a country house or suburban area. long time. It is for this reason that plastic tanks for sewage are considered the best in the field of collecting contaminated water from a private home.

The main purpose

Sewage tanks are used to collect contaminated water from cottages and country houses. Plastic containers can also be used as storage containers for storing chemical waste for further disposal. Installing a container allows you to increase the volume of the central sewer system.

Reasons why it is necessary to use containers for sewage or septic tanks in a country house:

  1. Maintaining cleanliness environment.
  2. Ease of use storage system for sewerage and containers in a country house.
  3. The ability to purify water from the sewer (applies to septic tanks) and discharge it into the ground (see photo). The best specimens allow you to purify sewer water from suspended matter and impurities up to 65%.
  4. Shallow occurrence of groundwater.
  5. A large number of springs in the summer cottage.
  6. The location of underground streams is close to the surface.

The latter reasons are an obstacle to the construction of a drainage pit at the dacha, because... underground water will periodically raise sewage to the surface.

Therefore, plastic sewer containers or sewer septic tanks are better suited. The containers will be ideal option for installation in the country house. In addition, the best containers have increased strength and tightness.

The use of plastic containers for sewerage or septic tanks for sewerage allows you to equip a toilet in the country not on the street, but in the house. The containers improve the performance of the entire sewerage system.

Using several containers for sewerage or septic tanks in a country house allows you to create a complete and better system sewers for filtering sewage. Water purified in a septic tank with the participation of anaerobic and aerobic microorganisms is discharged into the ground (see photo below).

There are plastic and fiberglass storage tanks for sewerage and septic tanks. Both options are the best and are durable and light in weight compared to metal sewer tanks. The containers are capable of providing complete sealing, excluding the ingress Wastewater from sewerage to soil.

From time to time, such sewage containers in a country house require cleaning using sewage machines. The cost of services of such companies is quite high, so it is economically profitable to use storage tanks for sewerage in a country house and suburban areas, where the volume of wastewater per day is not very large.

Also produced plastic wells for sewerage (see photo), which, unlike metal ones, are characterized by a longer service life, are not subject to corrosion and the negative effects of soil and precipitation. Those. They are the best. True, their price is a little higher.

There are several main types of sewer wells:

  1. Observation type (photo below). The containers are used for inspection purposes during the use of sewerage.
  2. Rotary type (photo below). Containers are used at corners, at junctions of sewer pipes. Can serve as observation rooms.
  3. Drop type (photo below). The tanks are designed for installation in summer cottages where there is a difference in soil depth, the intersection of communications and structures underground, or an excessive slope. In the latter case, sewer wells of this type make it possible to slow down the speed of wastewater flow.
  4. Filter type (photo below). The containers are used for treating wastewater and sewage.
  5. Cumulative type (photo below). Containers are used in country houses as an alternative cesspools.

Plastic sewer wells and containers allow you to inspect and visually monitor the condition of pipes and the entire sewer network. It is recommended to install special floats in them to monitor the excess of the permissible level of wastewater in the tank.

Advantages and disadvantages

Plastic storage tanks for sewage have a number of advantages:

  1. The tank is sealed in plastic for sewerage to ensure environmental protection.
  2. Strength characteristics of the container. A plastic sewer tank is resistant to corrosion, caustic solutions, cracking, and leaks.
  3. Long service life of a plastic tank for sewage. The manufacturer guarantees uninterrupted operation of the plastic container for at least 50 years.
  4. Easy to transport and install plastic containers. Light weight allows you to transport and install storage tanks under the sewer system in short time. The video below shows that even large containers can be easily transported on one vehicle.
  5. Installation of plastic containers for sewage in a country house does not require approval from the sanitary and epidemiological station.
  6. A plastic sewage tank can be installed on any type of soil.
  7. Relatively low price of a plastic sewer tank.
  8. Availability of plastic sewage containers.

Among the disadvantages of plastic containers are:

  1. Relatively small volume of plastic containers. Therefore, the containers fill up very quickly. It is necessary to pump out sewage from the container about once a year if 2 people permanently live in a country house. For some this moment is fundamental, because the price for pumping sewerage is quite high.
  2. Plastic containers require periodic cleaning.

Plastic septic tanks for private sewers have the following advantages:

  1. Does not require power supply or connection of additional pumping stations, filter systems.
  2. The tightness of a plastic septic tank for sewerage, i.e. safety for the environment.
  3. The mechanical strength of a septic tank for sewerage, i.e. resistance to corrosion processes, the influence of solvents, and cracking.
  4. In a sewage septic tank, wastewater is treated using anaerobic microorganisms, as a result of which clean liquid is discharged into the ground. The best specimens are designed to purify sewer water from suspended particles and impurities up to 65%.
  5. The long service life of a septic tank for sewerage is about 50 years.
  6. Ease of transporting a septic tank for sewerage to your home country cottage area and assemblies. The video below shows that even large containers can be easily transported on one vehicle.
  7. Due to the volume of the tank, they do not require such frequency of pumping wastewater from the sewer system, which significantly reduces the cost of septic tank maintenance.

The disadvantages of septic tanks for sewerage are:

  1. Limited installation options - septic tanks cannot be installed in the country on some types of soil - clay, loam, oily soil.
  2. The cost of a septic tank is slightly higher than that of storage tanks for sewerage.
  3. The installation and installation of a septic tank for sewerage in a country house requires prior approval from the sanitary and epidemiological station, which increases the price of installation.
  4. Additional costs for installation of a septic tank for sewerage and components - bay concrete formwork, installation of storage tank clamps for sewerage, etc.
  5. Septic tanks for sewerage require a large adjacent area for installation.

Container sizes

Plastic is a fairly advanced material, which makes it possible to produce a wide range of and size range of sewerage tanks. Manufacturers offer various options color scheme, composition, strength characteristics, water resistance, resistance to sudden temperature changes, etc. Some plastic containers are made for installation directly in the home.

For example, the Anion company produces plastic septic tanks for sewage in the following size range.

Septic tank model and volume, l Code Tank height, mm Tank diameter, mm
Septic tank 1700 S1700 1700 1330
Septic tank 3000 S3000 1750 1820
Septic tank 4000 J4002 2125 1520
Septic tank 4000 J4001 2110 1510
Septic tank 5000 J5000 2340 1690

In a country house and suburban areas where about two people permanently live, it is recommended to use plastic storage tanks for sewerage with a volume of no more than 1500 liters (see photo). Plastic containers have the following main characteristics:

  • container weight 60 kg,
  • container width 1.32 m,
  • tank depth 1.62 m,
  • container height 1.55 m,
  • container walls 9–11 mm thick.

It is recommended to operate storage tanks for sewerage at temperatures from -40 to +40 degrees. A plastic sewer tank of this size needs to be cleaned approximately once every six months or a year and a half. This depends on the rate of accumulation of wastewater in the tank.

When more than two people live in a house, it is recommended to use large storage tanks for sewerage over 2000 liters or a septic tank. The video shows what sizes the containers are.

Plastic septic tanks for sewerage are produced in the form of series-connected containers. Sewage that has been treated with anaerobic microorganisms is poured into containers.

Bacteria process dirty water, as a result of which the purified liquid is poured into an adjacent container, and the sludge settles. Next, the water passes into a perforated pipe and flows into the soil.

The level of water purification in a septic tank depends on the number of containers and chambers connected in series, the performance of anaerobic and aerobic microorganisms, and the sludge content. Best models containers have the ability to purify wastewater from various types of dirt up to 65%.

A septic tank with a volume of 4000 liters requires desilting after about 1 - 2 years, which depends on the amount of wastewater and also affects the price of maintenance.

There are several types of sewage containers available in shape:

  • Round vertical containers (see photo).
  • Round containers horizontal type(see photo).
  • Square shaped containers.
  • Rectangular containers.
  • Rounded at the top and tapering at the bottom for stability.

Criteria for correct selection

When choosing a sewer container, you should consider the following points:

  1. Estimated volume of wastewater. The estimated daily amount according to the standard is 200 liters of water per person. It is worth considering that water consumption is three times the volume of the storage tank for sewerage. Those. 200 liters must be multiplied by the number of people in the house and by three.
  2. Availability of additional components to ensure uninterrupted operation, for example, alarm floats. It is recommended to buy sensors that will give a special signal when the plastic tank is full.
  3. The thickness of the walls of the container. Plastic storage bins may have thin walls. Barrels for private system sewers must be at least 9 mm thick.
  4. Analyze the soil composition. Plastic septic tanks are not recommended to be installed on clay soils, because they do not allow water to pass through well. For such important soils, it is better to use storage plastic containers. Plastic septic tanks on clay and loam can only be installed if a drainage system made of sand and crushed stone is installed around the drainage pit.

Installation and installation

Installation storage tank is carried out in several main stages:

  1. An analysis of the area is being carried out for the location of the storage sewer system and tank (see photo):
  • the access road to the house and the pumping site for the sewer truck must be well equipped,
  • the distance from the house to the private storage sewage system is about 10 - 12 m,
  • degree of freezing of the soil layer. A plastic sewer container can withstand temperatures down to -40 degrees. However, the liquid may freeze in it.
  1. Preparatory. Need to buy everything necessary materials. Then a hole is excavated in the area next to the house, the dimensions of which exceed the plastic container by 30 - 40 cm on all sides (see photo). This gap is necessary to create a layer of sand and crushed stone. From the resulting recess, you need to carefully remove all sharp objects - stone fragments, fragments of reinforcement, construction waste. Those. anything that can pierce plastic.
  2. A concrete solution about 20 cm high is poured into the bottom of the hole (see photo). This will be the basis of the future storage structure and will not allow the system to deform. It will also keep the sewage container from floating up spontaneously due to its light weight.
  3. The storage tank is secured to concrete screed using special hooks and metal loops.
  4. If there is groundwater in the ground, it is recommended to line the storage tank for sewage with geotextiles, then with a layer of crushed stone and sand. This will create conditions where water will wash the plastic tank and not stagnate around it.
  5. The cover and supply pipes are secured. The storage plastic tank is buried in the ground (see photo).
  6. To reduce the degree of soil pressure on a plastic sewer storage tank, you can line the hole with bricks. As a result, a gap of 30 cm is formed between the walls of the plastic tank and the brick. If it is not possible to secure a plastic container under the sewer on a concrete screed, then metal slats are fixed at the top of the pit, which limit its floating (see photo).

Prices for sewerage tanks

The price of plastic containers for sewerage depends on the manufacturer, material, volume, size, number of storage sections and chambers in the system. Today, you can choose the best and buy any plastic storage tank that meets all the requirements for installation in a specific area - with any type of soil, with any volume, etc.

As you can see, manufacturers offer huge selection containers for sewerage equipment. Everyone can choose a model that will meet the requirements, circumstances of residence, the climate of the region and the condition of the soil in the area.

Maintenance

For ease of use of a plastic container, it is recommended to additionally purchase and install a special signal float (see photo). A level sensor installed in the sewer system will notify the owner about the degree of filling of the container and the need to pump it out.

The use of anaerobic or aerobic microorganisms makes it possible to turn water into sludge, and pumping it out is much easier.

The main problem of living outside the city is the lack of central sewerage. Each of us has long been accustomed to communal benefits, so life without them seems far from comfortable. Most reliable way arrange at home country house Wastewater recycling is the installation of a storage tank for sewage. Such containers are completely sealed tanks into which wastewater flows directly from the house through a sewer pipe. What are the features of the operation of such containers? And how troublesome is their maintenance during operation?

Functions of storage tanks

In general, experts advise dealing with the issue of organizing a sewer system on the site in parallel with the construction of a house. The thing is that you will need a large amount of preparatory earthworks, namely, to dig a pit. It is rational to do this at the stage of laying the foundation of the house. In principle, you can do without a foundation pit. The sewer storage tank may well be placed on the surface of the earth. However, this will spoil it somewhat appearance your site.
Before digging a pit, you will have to decide on its size, which depends on how much waste water will flow into the storage tank per day (read: " "). Please note that the smaller the pit, the more often you will need to call a sewer truck to clean the container from its contents. And these are extra costs.

But, despite all the worries with maintaining the tank, there is certainly a point in it.

The following functions of storage tanks can be distinguished:

  1. Collection and storage (until treatment) of all wastewater coming from the house.
  2. Protecting the environment from wastewater. All thanks to the complete tightness of such containers.
  3. Well, let’s not forget that storage sewerage for a dacha or country house- This necessary condition comfortable and cozy life for all members of your family (more details: " ").

To become a happy owner of utilities on your property, you don’t have to spend a huge amount of money. It is entirely possible to install a sewer system in your home on your own. It's not as difficult as it might seem at first glance. If you carefully study the question posed and show your dexterity and skills, the result will exceed all your expectations.

Storage sewage system options

There are several such options. Moreover, each of them, without a doubt, has its pros and cons.

cesspool

This, of course, is the most commonplace and inexpensive method of organizing sewerage. It is used in case of a small volume of wastewater per day. But there are a lot of shortcomings. Firstly, there is a danger of possible contamination of groundwater and the surrounding area. Secondly, an unpleasant odor is always a companion to cesspools. Thirdly, you can easily turn out to be an offender and suffer financial liability. So, today the law provides for punishment in the ruble for those who cause harm surrounding nature.

Septic tank

Septic tanks are capable of not only accumulating wastewater, but also carrying out their thorough cleaning. True, for such luxury you will have to pay a tidy sum. Moreover, septic tanks are very difficult to install and require a lot of space for their placement.

Local wastewater treatment plant

The price of such a station is no less than that of a septic tank. Although, of course, the quality of wastewater treatment is quite poor high level. The disadvantages include the fact that the station is powered from the mains. And also - it makes sense if you have a very big family and many water-consuming appliances in the house, as well as a bathtub, shower or even a swimming pool. In other cases, the purchase will not justify itself!

Storage tank for waste

Perhaps, a storage tank for sewage is an ideal price-quality ratio. For quite reasonable costs you can get quality way organization of the sewer system (read also: " "). The only thing is that such a container requires cleaning. Therefore, when designing its placement, make sure that a sewer truck can easily drive up to it.

Correctly installing the storage tank

First you need to determine the volume of the future container. Do not forget that an excessively small storage tank for sewage is unprofitable, due to the need to empty it frequently. Typically, for a family of four, experts recommend a volume of about 10 cubic meters. This optimal size containers. By the way, to understand that it’s time to empty the container, you can not only look into it, but you can also simply buy a sensor for monitoring the filling of the container in the store. When the tank needs to be cleared of waste, the sensor will give a signal. It's convenient and doesn't require a lot of money.

Now regarding the installation of the container itself.

Here are some tips from experienced professionals:

  1. It is important to choose the right place to place the container. It is better if you dig a pit where the ground is below the level of your house. TO sewer well The sewer truck should be easy to drive up.
  2. The bottom of the pit must be filled with concrete. Or you can generously add gravel and crushed stone. After all, a filled storage tank weighs a lot. And it may well be unstable on ordinary soft soil. A solid bottom will give it stability.
  3. It is better to make the sewer system multi-chamber. In the first, solid sediments simply settle to the bottom. In the second chamber, the wastewater undergoes more thorough cleaning. After which such water can easily be used for gardening purposes.
  4. Elements required for the sewer system: tanks, ventilation tube(so that odors do not accumulate in containers), a lid with a hatch for pumping out the contents, a sewer pipe running from the house to the tank.
  5. And finally, how to make the tanks themselves? You can, of course, use concrete rings or simple tires. However, the tightness of such a structure will suffer. Yes, and you will have to tinker quite a bit. It is much easier to buy ready-made storage tanks for sewerage in a country house or in a large country house.

How to choose a storage tank for sewerage

On sale you can find storage tanks for sewerage, plastic or metal. However, the difference between them is serious. Don't forget that metal corrodes easily, especially in this environment. That's why metal containers can quickly become unusable. To extend their life, you can, of course, coat them from the inside with a special solution. But with plastic containers there is much less hassle. As you can see in the photo, they are easy to install (even alone), completely sealed and not susceptible to the aggressive effects of drains and moisture.

So, when installing a sewer system on your site, be attentive to any little details and make the right choice. Then life outside the city will turn into a real fairy tale!

To make your stay in the house comfortable and cozy, sewage drainage equipment is mandatory. The most convenient way is to connect to central system city sewer system, then you will avoid various problems and worries. But this is not always possible to implement. Therefore, owners of private houses or summer cottages are forced to install special cesspools on their plots. This may solve the problem, however, there are some nuances. If it is done technologically correctly, such a pit will cost you a lot, and the labor costs will be high. Moreover, it is almost impossible to ensure perfect tightness in cement-brick structures. On the territory of Russia, in middle lane, groundwater are located quite high, so all the contents will constantly be on the surface of the area, polluting it and spreading unpleasant odors. That is why ordinary cesspools have been replaced by special containers that are designed for collecting and storing waste. These containers are large tanks or cisterns in which waste is kept sealed until the tank is cleaned. From this article you can learn how to install a sewage tank on your site yourself.

Types of waste storage containers

If we talk about the types of such tanks, then there are two of them:

A septic tank is not just a tank in which waste is collected and stored. sewage, they are partially filtered there. When wastewater enters the septic tank, it flows through the pipe into the first cleaning chamber, where they break up into various separate factions. Large solid particles settle at the bottom, and small elements with water move to another chamber, where they are “attacked” by bacteria. Fermentation processes occur in these chambers, resulting in the release of methane. In the third compartment, this water is partially filtered and enters the ground. That is why in some areas it is prohibited to install septic tanks.

Storage containers are simply completely sealed and resemble a large tank or barrel for storing something, and in this case, waste seepage from the sewer into the ground is excluded. It turns out that such containers can be used in any area. TO distinctive features Such tanks can be determined by their shape and size. They are made in both vertical and horizontal shapes, and also have a rectangular or cylindrical design. If we talk about their capacity, then finished goods can contain a fairly large volume - from 1 to 150 m 3 of liquid. These structures are equipped with two holes:

  • the first hole is the entrance to which the sewer pipeline is connected;
  • the second hole is an inspection hole for cleaning the tank when it is full.

Most often, such a product is installed below ground level, having previously dug a special pit where the unit is placed. Thanks to this you can save general form plot and precious space that can be used for other purposes.

It is worth noting that before purchasing a tank, you need to decide what material to buy the product from. After all, a lot depends on this. To help you with this, let's look at what these materials are and what the advantages of each of them are.

What are sewer containers made of?

Depending on the material used, all sewer containers can be divided into the following types:

  1. Plastic tanks.
  2. Metal tanks.
  3. Concrete tanks.

Each material has its own advantages and disadvantages, which we will now discuss.

Plastic products

The most common containers can be called. They have a large number of advantages, which we will talk about later, and thanks to them they are so popular. Apart from the volume, they do not have any restrictions for collecting wastewater. All that is required of you is to complete the installation, after which the unit is ready to perform its tasks. The good news is that the installation is very easy, it does not require special heavy artillery, it is enough to use strong man's hands. What are the advantages of such models:

  1. Light weight, which makes installation easier, allowing you to do everything yourself without any problems.
  2. The highest tightness, which is achieved during manufacturing, because the product does not have any welds. Therefore, you don’t have to worry about less-than-pleasant content leaking out.
  3. Durability. As everyone knows, plastic does not corrode and is resistant to various negative effects of aggressive substances contained in sewage waste. The service life of such a product is 30 and even 50 years, which is quite good.
  4. Good strength. Despite the fact that it is plastic, it is not inferior to metal products and can withstand various mechanical impacts and loads.
  5. Relatively low cost. If we talk about the other two types, they will cost you more, and transportation will also be expensive.

Metal products

Such containers occupy an honorable second place in use for the collection and storage of sewage waste. Although previously such designs were used more often, since many industrial enterprises were falling apart, and it was very easy to get such barrels. The peculiarity of their installation is due to the fact that the tanks are very heavy, so you will need to hire someone to install them. crane. If you want to do everything yourself, you won’t succeed. Please take this into account when calculating, as you will need to pay to rent heavy equipment. Moreover, some costs should be allocated for sealing agents, since immediately before installation everything welds must be processed by them. Thanks to this, good sealing can be achieved, and wastewater should not enter the ground.

The main advantage of metal tanks is that they are durable and reliable. They are hard to damage: they tolerate mechanical stress and loads well. But there are still many more disadvantages:

  1. The metal is subject to corrosion. This is why the tank needs additional anti-corrosion coating both inside and outside before installation. This can significantly extend the life of the product, however, it does not completely solve the problem. Over time, it will simply rot.
  2. A significant part of the tanks are made from thin sheets of metal, which, when exposed to aggressive substances, will not last long.
  3. High cost of the product.
  4. Large weight, which complicates the installation process itself and makes it more expensive. Not only is the product itself more expensive, but you also have to pay extra for transport services, hiring a crane, purchasing sealant and other installation services.
  5. Limited volume. Typically, 200–250 liter barrels are used for storing and collecting wastewater. This means that you will have to retrieve the contents very often, especially if you have a large family. Everything would be fine, you can do the work yourself (although it is inconvenient and you need to use special equipment), but where do you put the waste then? Therefore, we have to resort to the services of vacuum cleaners, which is not entirely advisable for 200–250 liters.

Concrete products

Very rarely, concrete containers are used for collecting and storing waste. If earlier this would have been advisable, today, when we have other materials that have excellent properties and are better suited for this purpose, concrete is significantly inferior. And this is mainly associated with the properties of the material itself. Concrete is simply helpless against moisture and water, which simply destroys it. This is why such a tank will not serve you for long. At the same time, you will spend a significant amount of money and effort on its equipment. The same as in the case with metal products, installation of concrete structures will require special equipment. It’s not worth talking separately about any pros and cons, since everything is clear with this. Today concrete structures are practically not used.

What material to choose for storing waste is a purely personal matter. You can compare the pros and cons of one type or another and choose the best one. But to be honest, plastic structures the most profitable. All you need to do is calculate the required volume, buy the unit and install it, that’s all! Easy, simple and reliable! Such tanks will serve you faithfully for many years and do not require constant maintenance. Let's look at how to choose the right plastic tank so that it is convenient and lasts a long time.

Rules for choosing plastic barrels

So, having decided to use a plastic tank for storing waste, the first thing you need to do is go to a specialized store and purchase such a unit. But how to choose the right one the best option? What are the selection criteria? Let's find out.

Taking into account all the recommendations, you can buy a container that fully satisfies your needs and that would serve for a long time and reliably. Now that everything is ready, you can start installation work that you can do yourself.

Preparatory work for installing a tank for sewerage

The whole point of the job is that you need to dig a large hole under the tank and bury it. It all comes down to earthworks, for which you need to stock up on the following tools:

  • shovel, depending on the number of assistants;
  • shovel;
  • buckets;
  • crowbar for working with soil containing a lot of stones;
  • plumb line to adjust the verticality of the pit;
  • level;
  • hammer;
  • roulette;
  • pegs and rope to make markings.

Having everything necessary tools, you can go to preparatory stages. They are often divided into 3 categories:

  1. Preparing tools.
  2. Calculation of the required tank volume.
  3. Choosing the optimal location.

We've already figured out the tools. Regarding the volume of the tank, as mentioned above, there is a special formula thanks to which you can decide how much volume you need. This formula looks like this:

V=n×x×V days,

  • V – required volume;
  • n is the daily period after which you want to carry out cleaning work;
  • x – the number of residents who live in the house;
  • V day – the volume of wastewater expected per person per day.

For example, to understand, let's imagine a family that consists of 3 members. Approximately 150 liters of wastewater is consumed per person per day. You want your tank to be cleaned every two months, so every 60 days. Now it turns out:

Using the calculator, you can immediately determine that your desired volume is 27,000 liters. It turns out that a tank of no less than 27 m3 is suitable for your needs, which you will have to clean once every two months. All you have to do is plug in your numbers and draw certain conclusions.

Note! Calculating the volume of a tank is quite simple. Although if you neglect this point, it can lead to negative consequences.

Now you need to choose appropriate place on your site. Simply pointing your finger at any area you like is the wrong tactic. There are specific tank placement requirements that must be followed:

  1. In order for sewage to flow freely and by gravity into the tank, it must be installed at the lowest point of your site. Then the pipes will be located at an angle, and blockages will not form in them.
  2. To make it convenient to clean the container, it is important to provide access to the site so that the sewer truck can easily get there. Moreover, this must be done despite the fact that you plan to clean the tank yourself.
  3. It is recommended that sewer pipes, through which the wastewater enters the tank, were straight. Thanks to this, you do not have to install additional equipment, such as rotary wells.
  4. In order not to “enjoy” unpleasant odors from the container, you should not place it too close to the house. But even if the tank is located far away, this will lead to additional waste, since the length of the pipeline will be greater. The most optimal distance from the tank to the house is considered to be 6 m.

All that remains for you immediately before work is to choose a location and begin installation. This is what we will do now!

Installation of a plastic tank

One of important advantages plastic products is ease of installation. Even if you do not have adequate experience in construction work And plumbing, you can do everything yourself. All you need is the right tools, following the instructions, some help from a friend or relative and, in fact, desire! Let's divide all the work into several stages to make it more convenient and understandable for you:

At this point, all work is completed, and your tank is ready for use. If you choose everything correctly and install the container properly, it will serve you for many years, making your stay in your home comfortable and enjoyable.

And so that you can know when it’s time to clean the container, you can use a signal float. Some products include such an element, but if you don’t have it, it doesn’t matter. You can do it yourself. To bring your idea to life, take a steel rod, a bright foam ball, an aquarium suction cup and liquid nails glue. So, first apply the marking scale to the rod. It would be better if it was luminescent paint. Place a suction cup on the end of the steel rod, which needs to be glued to the bottom. This way the rod will be securely fixed and will not damage the bottom. Well, in the end you need to place a bright ball on the rod, which will move freely along your made scale. Place the float so that when you open the lid, you can immediately see where your ball is located. It will indicate the amount of content.

As you can see, equipping a container for collecting sewage waste is not so difficult. All work can be easily done on your own without the help of professionals, who, by the way, would charge you decent money for this service. Using such a plastic tank is advisable, the material has a large number of advantages, and this design will last you quite a long time. This, one might say, is an intermediate solution between a cesspool and a septic tank, and it is justified from an environmental point of view.

The following video demonstrates the installation plastic container for sewerage:

Gutter and drainage removes excess water either to a special storage facility, or simply outside the site. A storage tank for sewerage in a country house or in a private house is a necessary element of the drainage and drainage system.

Kinds

A storage tank is a well designed for settling and accumulating waste liquids from the sewer system. The main purpose of this reservoir is not just to accumulate wastewater, but to protect the environment from pollution by it.

The classification is made according to the materials from which the well is made and the container. Storage tanks for organizing sewage systems are made of plastic, concrete and metal. Plastic ones are the most convenient to use and easiest to install. They are light, durable, and not damaged by water, but they do have some disadvantages.

In particular, plastic can be deformed under the influence of earth pressure. To avoid this, they are installed either in a pre-prepared pit with fixed walls, or placed in a metal casing (mesh of reinforcement).

There are such reservoirs:

  1. Made from PVC. The most common and accessible. On average, they have a wall thickness of up to 4 centimeters, are light, durable, and flexible;
  2. Fiberglass. Reinforced with fiberglass, they withstand exposure to water and temperature changes, but are destroyed by direct sunlight.

A concrete well is a standard drain hole. It is very rarely drained for further use. Mostly such storage devices are located underground. They are:

  1. Open. No bottom. In this case, some of the liquid simply goes into the soil;
  2. Closed. They have a bottom and require periodic pumping of wastewater.

Ideal for organizing stormwater or drainage system, they are very easy to equip with your own hands. There are two installation options: buy a ready-made concrete container or dig a pit, make formwork in it and fill the container over it. Can be made from reinforced concrete rings, square shapes. One of the main disadvantages of concrete storage tanks is their limited service life - they begin to deteriorate after only 10 years of use (for comparison, plastic lasts up to 50).

Metal tanks must be additionally protected from corrosion with special paints or enamels. They are considered more convenient than concrete ones, but less practical than plastic ones. In particular, they cannot be installed without additional help.

Also containers can be different types location. They can be installed vertically or horizontally. A vertical wastewater container is used in narrow-shaped areas where it is not possible to prepare a large pit for a storage tank. Horizontal ones are standard and are used on any possible types of plots.

Calculation

Before you buy a storage tank for sewerage, you need to calculate its required volume. Many factors are taken into account to obtain the maximum accurate results. The most important of them is the number of people living in the house. On average, one adult uses 200 liters of water per day; in certain cases, this figure can reach 500 or more.

One more important indicator is the period of purification autonomous system. On average, wells need to be cleared of water once every 30 days, but depending on the volume of the storage tank, this period can be increased to 3 months. Let's give an example of a calculation for a family of two people consuming 300 liters of water per day for each person:

300 * 2 = 600 liters, that’s how much is poured into the tank every day.

Let's assume that you plan to clean the tank no more than once every 60 days. Means:

600 * 60 = 36,000 liters – approximate capacity storage well. 1 cubic meter is 1000 liters, which means you need to look for a storage unit of at least 36 cubic meters. Such models are often provided by plastic tank manufacturers.

Please note that if there is a child in the family, then it is better to calculate the volume consumed by him, as for an adult - then the tank will have a reserve. Also, when choosing a storage device, experts draw the attention of buyers to the fact that the maximum water level in the container should be no higher than 1 meter from the lid.

Installation

The price for installing storage tanks for sewerage depends on the type and size of the device, place of residence and work characteristics. On average, they charge up to $20 to install a small well.
