There is also an option with a double bed-caterpillar, but such "transformers" are expensive and do not often catch your eye.
Finding a ready-made foldable sleeping place were not crowned with success, but a negative result is also a result. As a result of his ordeals, avamonster finally decided on the list of requirements for the product and therefore decided to assemble the bed himself.

Material required for assembling a transforming bed

Because I do not have welding machine, then I had to drill holes in the pipes for the fastening bolts. This made the task of assembling the wardrobe bed much more difficult. The best way- to cook it all myself or to have it done in a locksmith's workshop to order, otherwise I also had to clean the pipes from rust. I pasted over the surfaces of all visible metal parts of the pipes with a film imitating wood.
- Hardware. The DIY bed was assembled with bolts, nuts and screws. A homemade frame for strength and rigidity was twisted into corners for M6 bolts. What kind of transformer bed can you make?
- The frame of a bed or bed is constructed from boards, wooden blocks, based on prepared drawings. The skeleton will determine the dimensions of the future bed, its dimensions. Please note that it must fit inside the cabinet, otherwise it will no longer be a transformer.
- Buy a ready-made orthopedic mattress. Moreover, first a mattress is purchased, and on its basis, calculations of the size of the future bed-wardrobe are made. No other way. Otherwise, you may simply not guess, then everything will have to be redone all over again.
- Instead of bent slats, boards fixed flat across the width of the bed with a gap of about 1 centimeter between them are suitable. Or you can install several boards on the edges, and fix on top chipboard sheet or plywood of sufficient thickness. Both design options will have approximately the same weight and strength level.
- A wall can act as a headboard, that is, you will sleep with your head as if inside a cabinet. If the bed is installed horizontally, then you can come up with something individually for yourself, so that there is something to lean on with the back of your head.
A finished bed will cost at least 20 thousand rubles, and the price of a homemade bed can be about 5 thousand. The choice is yours.

- The second will be able to play the role of the closet itself, justifying its name - a closet-bed.

The main task is to correctly calculate the dimensions so that the drawing fully corresponds to the real capabilities and dimensions of the transformer elements.
