Human color and health. Colors and their effect on the human body

Effect of color on human health

Many sciences are interested in studying the influence of color on a person, since color plays a big role in our life, relations between people depend on it:

Physics, especially optics, which studies everything that happens outside the visual system
... physiology, which studies everything related to the functioning of the eye, image formation, processing, encoding and transmission of nerve signals from the retina to the brain
... psychology: everything related to the interpretation of nerve signals and the perception of color
... psychophysics, which studies the relationship between stimulation and reaction of the visual system (colorimetry is a part of psychophysics).

The connection between the color of clothing and human health

The color of a person's clothing affects the perception of that person by other people.

RED :
The character of this color is aggressive. Those who wear red will undoubtedly be noticed.

Red clothing can indicate sexual aggression, or problems with urinary incontinence.

It is very useful to use the red color of socks and gloves to improve peripheral circulation. For male impotence, it is useful to wear red panties or swimming trunks.

ORANGE :
Whoever prefers orange clothes is an altruist, he always has a good mood and a desire to joke.

Orange clothing should be worn for rheumatism, constipation. Very useful for women who have difficulty conceiving due to psychological problems... You can buy, for example, a silk tunic with a predominance of orange colors.

Electromagnetic energy orange has the same vibration frequency as DNA strands.

YELLOW :
People wearing yellow are very strong personalities.

This color is used to improve the functions of the stomach and stimulate the lymphatic system.

GREEN :
It is the color of energy balance. Whoever wears it is always in search of balance.

Green color relaxes and refreshes, helps in case of headaches and insomnia.

BLUE:
People who dress in blue clothes are usually introverted, outwardly closed, phlegmatic.

BLUE :
People in blue are very nervous and tense. Blue is worn by very closed people living in their own closed world.

VIOLET :
All shades express sensuality, darker spirituality.

Effect of color on human physiology

Red ... The wavelength is the longest, so its effect is maximal. Exciting, warming, active and energetic color, penetrates and activates all functions of the body. Stimulates nerve centers, energizes muscles and liver. Used to treat chickenpox, some skin conditions. On the a short time increases muscle tension (doping), increases blood pressure and speeds up the breathing rhythm. You can feed on the energy of red during meditation, colds, pneumonia, asthma, etc. Contraindicated for overweight people, has a bad effect on hypertensive people, nervous people, red-haired people. Not recommended for inflammatory processes, because it activates them even more.

It is zodiac for Aries, Lions, Libra, Scorpions, Sagittarius.

Orange ... Toning color. Acts in the same direction as red, but to a lesser extent, improves digestion, promotes rejuvenation, liberation, strengthens the will, frees from feelings of depression. Strengthens lung tissue, has antispasmodic properties, improves blood circulation and skin color, but excess orange can cause the body to overheat (i.e., it is warmer than red).

It is zodiac for Aries, Lions, Gemini, Virgo and Libra.

Yellow ... Toning color. Physiologically optimal. Least fatiguing, stimulates vision and nervous activity, activates motor centers, induces a joyful mood, generates muscle energy, is used to treat diabetes, in case of indigestion, to correct strabismus, club hand. In medical practice, yellow meditation stimulates intellectual abilities, replenishes mineral deficiencies, and reduces acidity in the body.

It is zodiac for Gemini, Virgo, Libra and Lions.

Green ... Physiologically optimal. Reduces blood pressure, dilates capillaries, soothes and relieves migraines, increases muscle performance by for a long time... It has the opposite effect of red.

"They say that the one who does not like green (who does not like it) is afraid of life's difficulties, he is afraid of the vicissitudes of fate, and any changes in life. And the one who prefers him is afraid of being under someone's influence, constantly asserting himself. who like green color are distinguished by strong will, stubbornness, perseverance, which allow them to overcome the difficulties of life. If you like light green tones, you are characterized by softness and tenderness, you are energetic, know how to cooperate and always come to the aid of your neighbor, perhaps there is a healer in you. "Goethe

Green color has a refreshing and at the same time calming effect on the body, exhibits antiseptic properties, it is recommended in the treatment of the nervous cardiovascular system, asthma, insomnia.

It is zodiac for Taurus, Cancer, Virgo, Sagittarius.

Blue ... Calming color, reduces muscle tension, lowers blood pressure, calms heart rate, slows down breathing, lowers body temperature, refreshes, adjusts to patience, reduces appetite, soothes pain, has antipyretic antiseptic effect, helps with insomnia, nervous disorders.

It is zodiac for Libra, Pisces, Sagittarius, Ibex, Aquarius.

Blue ... The calming effect turns into a depressing one, helps to inhibit the functions of human physiological systems, has antiseptic and bactericidal properties, promotes growth, heals edema, burns, baldness, rheumatism, headache, eye inflammation. Recommended in therapy for emotional and nervous people. Long-term exposure to blue can be depressing.

It is zodiac for Libra, Pisces, Sagittarius, Ibex.

Violet ... Combines the effect of red and blue. Produces a depressing effect on nervous system.

Consider Fig. 1

Explanations for the figure:

Toning effect

Calming.

Green, as can be seen from the figure, is in the most neutral position.

In fact, the purple color should be as if to the side, because it has a depressing effect, not a calming effect like Blue or Cyan.

The psychological impact of color

Chapter from the book "Color Science" by Mironov, 1984

As you can see from the historical overview in the first part of the book, the psychological aspect of color perception is inextricably linked with the socio-cultural and aesthetic. Any single color or combination of colors can be perceived by a person differently, depending on the cultural and historical context, from spatial location color spot, its shape and texture, the mood and cultural level of the audience and many other factors. Therefore, attempts to compile "registers" of strict correspondences between color and emotional state cannot be considered fruitful. The significance of this problem for artists of applied specialties is quite clear. After all, any work of applied art or design - walls of buildings, decorative fabrics, furnishings, clothes, machines and tools - creates a color environment that one way or another forms a person's state of mind, affecting the structure of his thoughts and the level of performance. Of the whole range of issues that make up the complex problem of the psychological impact of color, the questions of human physiological reactions to color and about color associations are especially relevant for designers. Let us briefly outline their essence. All spectral colors in one way or another affect the functional systems of a person. Red- exciting, warming, active, energetic, penetrating, warm, activates all functions of the body; used to treat chickenpox, scarlet fever, measles, and certain skin conditions; for a short time increases muscle tension, increases blood pressure, accelerates the rhythm of breathing. Orange- tonic; acts in the same direction as red, but weaker; accelerates blood pulsation, improves digestion. Yellow(the lightest in the spectrum) - tonic, physiologically optimal, least tiring; stimulates vision and nervous activity. Green(the most familiar to the organ of vision) - physiologically optimal; reduces blood pressure and dilates capillaries; soothes and relieves neuralgia and migraine; increases motor-muscular performance for a long time. Blue- soothing; reduces muscle tension and blood pressure, calms the pulse and slows down the breathing rhythm. Blue- the calming effect turns into a depressing one; promotes inhibition of the functions of human physiological systems. Violet- combines the effect of red and blue; produces a depressing effect on the nervous system. Studying this list, you can notice an interesting feature in it - periodicity. The exciting effect of color seems to be periodically dependent on the wavelength. The function of the stimulating action can be depicted as a sinusoid. It is more convenient to plot the radiation wavelengths on the horizontal axis in descending order. The first color in a row, red, is the most exciting. But it reaches the maximum degree of this quality not at the very beginning of the visible region of the spectrum, but somewhat departing from the beginning, that is, where this color acquires the maximum brightness for its color tone. Orange and yellow are tonic colors, that is, their stimulating effect is moderate, quantitatively reduced. Green is a physiologically neutral color as it is a color biological environment from which the man came out. V blue a calming effect is already clearly felt, which increases with the transition of blue to blue and violet. Finally, purple has a depressing effect. However, going from the red to the violet end, the spectrum tends to close. Extremes meet. In violet, something of red appears, that is, something exciting. The circle is closed in magenta, which combines the properties of red and violet. For the first time this pattern was noticed by S. Ferry, which was mentioned by M. Deribere in his book "Color in Human Activity". The activity of the organ of vision can also excite other senses: touch, hearing, taste, smell. Color sensations can also evoke memories and associated emotions, images, mental states. They all call it color associations. Color associations can be categorized into several large groups: physical, physiological, ethical, emotional, geographic, etc. Within each group, there are smaller divisions. Here are some examples. Physical associations: a) weight (light, heavy, airy, pressing, weightless, ...); b) temperature (warm, cold, hot, icy, burning, ...); c) textured (soft, hard, smooth, prickly, rough, slippery, ...); d) acoustic (quiet, loud, deaf, voiced, musical, ...); e) spatial (protruding, receding, deep, superficial, ...). Emotional associations: a) positive (funny, pleasant, cheerful, lively, lyrical, ...); b) negative (sad, lethargic, boring, tragic, sentimental, ...); c) neutral (calm, indifferent, balanced, ...). The list goes on. It is easy to see that almost any adjective in our speech corresponds to some color. This testifies to the extreme breadth and versatility of color associations, to the extremely important place they occupy in a person's life, regardless of whether he realizes it or not. The way of forming color associations is similar to the process of forming conditioned reflexes. The sensations and emotions evoked by any color are analogous to the sensations associated with an object or phenomenon that is constantly colored in this color. Any reader, apparently, can cite many examples from his own experience, confirming this pattern. Obviously, different colors have an unequal ability to induce mental reactions. To assess these differences, we introduce the concept quality associations... The qualities can be attributed to: a) the unambiguity of the sensation (i.e., its definiteness, repetition with different conditions for the same individual); b) the intensity of the sensation; c) stability within a large group of people. The qualities of color associations, as well as the aesthetic assessment of colors, depend both on the objective properties of the colors themselves and on the properties of the perceiving subject. TO objective color properties include its purity, lightness (brightness), the shape of the color spot, its place and value in the visual structure, material and texture. Properties perceiving subject can be subdivided into group and individual... TO the first we attribute the national factor (race, ethnic group), cultural traditions, class affiliation. To second include age, gender, cultural level, education, occupation, features of the neuropsychic structure of the subject. Numerous studies (M. St. George, B. Wright, L. Rainwater, A. Couplet, R. Français, etc.), as well as statements by artists and poets, allow us to draw some conclusions regarding the connection between the objective properties of color and the reactions they cause. ... 1. The purer and brighter the color, the more definite, intense and stable the reaction. 2. Complex, low-saturated, medium-light colors cause very different (unstable) and relatively weak reactions. 3. The most unambiguous associations include temperature, weight and acoustic (the most different people they value these qualities of color in basically the same way). 4. The most ambiguous associations include gustatory, tactile, olfactory, emotional, that is, those associated with more intimate experiences and with the activity of biological sense organs. Here, even close people can react differently to the same colors. 5. Magenta colors even in a pure and bright form, they cause different reactions. (This can be explained by the duality of their nature.) 6. Yellow and green colors cause the greatest variety of associations. (This is because in this region of the spectrum, the eye distinguishes the largest number shades. In nature, these colors are the richest of all. Each of the shades of yellow or green is associated in the mind with a certain object or phenomenon, hence the wealth of associations.) It was mentioned above that one of the factors affecting emotional experience color is the shape of an object or spot that carries a given color. More generally, the impression produced by color is closely related to the object structure and, therefore, depends on all its qualities. To study the laws of this connection means to study the history of art and culture, since it is impossible to formulate any general theoretical provisions in this area outside of a concrete historical situation. Nevertheless, there are interesting attempts to describe the correspondences between human emotions and the complex of plastic, sound and color images (according to observations of our contemporaries). One such attempt belongs to J. Ormsby Symonds in his book Landscape and Architecture. "Since Symonds's conclusions are general in nature and contain valuable thoughts for designers of any profile, we consider it possible to cite them here. Voltage. Unstable forms. Fractional composition. Illegal complications. An extensive range of meanings. Color conflict. Continuous color intensity. Visual imbalance in relation to a line or point. Lack of a point at which the eye can rest. Hard, rough or jagged surfaces. Unfamiliar elements. Harsh blinding or vibrating light. Sharp temperature fluctuations. A piercing sound that irritates the nerves. Discharge. Simplicity. The volume can vary in size from intimate to grandiose. Conformity. Familiar objects and materials. Smooth lines. Curving shapes and spaces. Explicit structural stability. Horizontal. Nice and comfortable shape. Soft light. Soothing sound. A volume saturated with calm colors - white, gray, blue, green. Fright. Perceived limitation. An obvious trap. Lack of points of orientation. Lack of tools to assess the situation or scale. Hidden areas and spaces. Tilted, distorted, or broken planes. Illegal unstable forms. Slippery floor plane. Danger. Unprotected voids. Sharp protruding elements. Distorted spaces. Dullness, darkness, gloom. Pale and trembling, or, conversely, blinding light. Cold blues, cold greens. Abnormal monochromatic color. Fun. Free spaces. Smooth, flowing shapes and patterns. Possibility of vortex, tossing and looping motion. Movement and rhythm expressed in the structure. No restrictions. Shapes, colors and symbols that appeal to emotion rather than intellect. The possibility of theatricality. Often light bright and spontaneous, taken in contrast to heavy and dark. Warm vibrant colors. A fleeting, sparkling, shimmering light. Cheerful, cheerful sounds. Contemplation. The scale does not matter, since the subject will plunge into the depths of his consciousness. The entire space can be soothing and discreet, or it can be very spacious and richly decorated, so that the constructive forms do not attract attention. Lack of distracting sharp contrasts. Symbols, if only used, should be relevant to the theme of contemplation. The space should provide a sense of isolation, solitude, detachment and peace. Soft diffused light. Calm neutral colors. Low muffled streams of sounds not perceived by consciousness. Dynamic action. Bold shapes. Powerful constructive rhythm. Planes set at an angle. Diagonals. Solid materials such as stone, concrete, wood or steel. Rough natural surfaces. Steep vertical. Explicit compositional center. Concentration of attention on the focal point of the action - on the podium, at the gathering point or at the entrance gate, where the general movement is directed. Movement caused by dynamic lines, moving light and drastic changes in shape, character and sound. Strong simple colors. Sublime, spiritual. A striking scale that surpasses the usual human imagination and immerses the person entering a huge space. Highly floating shapes in contrast to low horizontal shapes. The volume is designed in such a way as to keep the person as if nailed to the vast plane of the floor, while the gaze and thoughts tend upward. Upward orientation. Completed compositional order, often symmetrical. The use of expensive and capital materials. Applying a discreet white. If a color is applied, then these are cool colors such as blue-greens and purples. Discontent. An annoying change of direction and disclosure. Areas and spaces not suitable for the intended use. Interference. Extremes. Untimely difficulties. Lack of comfort. Unpleasant texture. Improper use of materials. Illogicality. False. Insecurity. Tediousness. Crying. Boredom. Mess. Disharmonious colors. Dissonant sounds. Unpleasant temperature or humidity. Unpleasant light quality. Pleasure. Space, shapes, textures, colors, symbols, sounds, light qualities, clearly suited to the use of space, whatever it may be. Meeting expectations, requirements or desires. Development of sequences and their implementation. Harmonious relationships. Unity with diversity. The resulting quality of beauty. In artistic composition programmatic nature(painting, cinema, scenography) emotional perception of color is complicated by the content of the work. Here it is more legitimate to talk about the ambivalence of the psychological impact of color than in those cases when the color is taken in isolation or in a non-pictorial structure. But an interesting fact is that the specific situation of the picture changes the emotional sound of a given color. not whatever, but only on just the opposite generally accepted. For example, rich spectral yellow is definitely fun and cheerful color... But in Van Gogh's Night Cafe, this color emphasizes the mood of despair and melancholy. A clear, cloudless blue sky usually inspires a person with a clear and serene mood, however, in the paintings of S. Dali or D. Chirico, the clear sky further deepens the feeling of horror or disgust suggested by the composition as a whole. S. Eisenstein, in connection with his work on color cinema, investigated the question of "absolute" correspondences between sound and color. He came to the conclusion that "in art it is not absolute compliance, and arbitrarily shaped which are dictated figurative system of this or that work. Here the matter is never resolved and will never be resolved by an immutable catalog of color symbols, but emotional meaningfulness and effectiveness of color will always arise in the order of the living formation of the color-like side of the work, in the very process of forming this image, in the living movement of the work as a whole". One cannot but agree with this conclusion. Everything said is true, with the exception of the word" arbitrary. "The artist" paints "the image not arbitrary, it considers the traditional meaning of color and obeys it or gives their own, opposite meaning. Following the above paragraph, S. Eisenstein describes an example from his practice, confirming just such a conditioned approach to color solutions: “It is enough to compare the theme of white and black in the films“ Old and New ”and“ Alexander Nevsky. ”In the first case, black was associated with reactionary, criminal and backward, and with white - joy, life, new forms of management. In the second case, the theme of cruelty, villainy, death fell to the share of white with knightly vestments (this was very surprising abroad and was noted by the foreign press); black together with the Russian troops he carried a positive theme - heroism and patriotism. " This rearrangement of black and white does not contradict the usual symbolism of these colors: in Russia, for example, the color of mourning is black, but the burial shroud is white; in Japan and India, the color of mourning is white; enemies of Soviet power during the civil war were called "white", although their deeds were black. It would be more surprising and probably misunderstood if Eisenstein replaced, for example, black with yellow-green and white with gray. When designing the coloring of any thing intended for a person, and especially for his individual use, it is necessary to take into account color preferences... Foreign scientists (R. Français, M. St. George, W. Walton and others), as a result of numerous studies, have come to the conclusion that there is biological innateness color preferences. So, children under the age of one year, regardless of race and place of residence, show the same preferences: they prefer red, orange and yellow to green, blue and purple. Among adolescents and adults, the colors are distributed in popularity as follows: blue, green, red, yellow, orange, purple, white. R. Français's book "The Psychology of Aesthetics" says that "for such a ranking only minor influence has an artistic education, a difference in gender, belonging to different races and cultures. "Color preferences, as well as associations, are determined by many factors. Usually, one should take into account the preferences of not only individual colors, but also combinations. In this case, the subject plays an important role - a color medium. The assessment of the color itself may differ in any way from its assessment in a particular situation. Therefore, the data of laboratory studies of color preferences cannot be used the only one basis for developing color composition object, even if we talk about its elementary aesthetic qualities. A more accurate, albeit more complex, way of studying color preferences can be art research , for example, arts and crafts, amateur painting and graphics of a particular social group of people. In these areas, color sympathies are manifested quite directly, and at the same time, any color is included in the composition, is associated with material and texture, that is, on these objects one can study not a prepared, but a living color, in the process of his own life and interaction with human. A complete picture of color preferences can only be obtained by studying the history of the art of a given nation. But man is not only a social being, his activity is also conditioned by factors of a physiological order, and his mental reactions are conditioned by the state of the nervous system. Therefore, color preferences to a certain extent depend on the physiological properties of the organism. Investigating the psychophysiological reactions of a person to color, it is possible to identify some general patterns of color preferences. This method can be useful as an addition to the historical method. From the point of view of physiological effects, all colors and their combinations can be divided into two main groups: A. Simple, pure, bright colors. Contrasting combinations. B. Complex, low-saturated colors (whitened, broken, blackened), as well as achromatic. Nuance combinations. Group A colors act as strong, active stimuli. They meet the needs of people with a healthy, restless nervous system. Such subjects include children, adolescents, youth, peasants, people of physical labor, people with an ebullient temperament and an open, direct nature. Indeed, we meet colors and combinations of this type in the following cases: in children's art; in youth fashion for clothes; in the decorative and applied arts of the peoples of the whole world; in amateur "urban folklore", the creators of which are people of unintelligent labor; in the art of revolutionary artists of the 20th century, breaking the canons (Matisse, Corbusier, Leger, Mayakovsky). Group B colors are calming rather than exciting; they cause complex, ambiguous emotions, need a longer contemplation for their perception, satisfy the need for subtle and refined sensations, and such a need arises in subjects of a sufficiently high cultural level. For all these reasons, the colors of group "B" are preferred by people of middle and old age, intelligent work, people with a tired and finely organized nervous system. Colors and combinations of this type are found in the following cases: in European costume for middle and old age; in the interior of the dwellings of the urban intelligentsia; in painting and applied art of classes leaving the historical arena (XVIII century - Rococo, XIX and XX centuries - modern); in modern project graphics and coloring of the vast majority of architectural objects, etc. The natural picture of color preferences can be temporarily disrupted by fluctuations in fashion. Often in the same culture, opposite types of color coexist, satisfying the same consumer. Thus, the issue of color preference is complex and requires a thoughtful and differentiated approach. An interesting phenomenon for the artist is color synesthesia. The word "synesthesia" means "compassion". This is a phenomenon when the senses are excited by inadequate stimuli. For example, when music sounds, sensations of colors arise, or when observing colors, any sounds, tactile sensations, taste sensations, etc. are presented. "Synesthetic feeling" was familiar to people of a subtle mental organization, apparently, at all times. This is how the Japanese poets felt the world: Dusk over the sea. Only the cries of wild ducks in the distance are dimly white. Matsuo Base May showers are pouring. And the wind in the plum leaves Turned fresh green. Saimaro Johann Wolfgang Goethe felt the "texture" of the color and its "taste": - red - sour taste. All manifestations of reality are related. " Color synesthesias were cultivated in romantic art in the second half of the 19th century. and somewhat later in the music and poetry of the Symbolists. The French poet Arthur Rimbaud (1854-1891) became famous for his sonnet "Vowels": A - black, white - E; And - red; U - green; O - blue; I will tell their secret in my turn. "The German romantic A. V. Schlegel (1767-1845) also felt the" color "of sounds:" A - corresponds to light, clear, red and means youth, friendship and radiance. And - answers to the sky-blue, symbolizing love and sincerity. O - purple, U - violet, U - ultramarine. "The poetry of A. Blok, A. Bely, S. Yesenin, K. Balmont, V. Khlebnikov is extremely rich in color-sound images. Many musicians and composers have a" color hearing " the composer A. N. Scriabin in his musical poem "Prometheus" wrote a "party of light" (ie, the light accompaniment of music). N. A. Rimsky-Korsakov said that "sharp scales in him evoke representations of colors, and flat ones. .. paint moods or a greater or lesser degree of warmth ... "Among the painters who keenly felt the color-musical correspondences, one can name D. Whistler, M. Churlionis, A. Lentulov, V. Kandinsky. Kandinsky describes in detail his color-musical synesthesias. Here are some of them: "Light warm-red ... resembles the sound of fanfare, and the trumpet seems to ring out - a stubborn, obsessive, strong tone ... Cinnabar sounds like a trumpet and can be set in parallel with strong drum beats ... Sounding (orange) ... like a monotonous middle bell, a strong viola, both human and strings ... Violet ... sounds somewhat painful, like something extinguished and sad ... It is like the sound of the English horn, the flute, and in general deep tones of wooden instruments, like a bassoon ". The nature of synesthesia has been studied by many scientists. Some suggested that it could be based on the mutual induction of excitations between auditory, visual, or olfactory fibers in the brain, in places where they are closely located. Others saw in it the usual "association of ideas" (A. Binet). Still others consider synesthesia a sign of atavism, a manifestation of primitive syncretism of sensations (M. Nordau).

The science

The effect of color on the human psyche has been known since ancient times. Colors can influence the perception of the world, mood and even a person's character. It has been scientifically proven that different colors and their combinations can cause a person to feel joy, sadness, anxiety or melancholy.

There are a few basic rules to learn. The use of light pastel colors helps to create an atmosphere of comfort and warmth, to visually enlarge the area of the room. Bright tones energize, uplift and stimulate. Dull cold shades relax, give a sense of harmony, dark ones - give severity and efficiency.

The effect of red on a person

It allows you to get off the ground, get a charge of vivacity and activity, is able to cause excitement, adjusts to activity, enhances muscle tone, stimulates appetite.

It is important that the red color visually reduces the space. Therefore, it cannot be used in small rooms. Also, oversaturation with red can lead to irritation and depression. But your living room will benefit if red prevails. If red is skillfully combined with other colors, it will be appropriate in any room.

Blue color and mood

Reduces the heart rate, stimulates creativity and brain activity, adjusts to rest, helps to relax and find peace of mind, improves concentration, instills confidence, arouses interest.

Use saturated blue color in the interior you need to be careful and thoughtful. It belongs to the cold palette, so it is better not to use it in northern and dimly lit rooms. It is great for classic and modern interiors, always appropriate in Mediterranean style and high-tech style. Almost all shades of blue have been proven to reduce our appetite and therefore those who want to always look slim should consider this color as a possible backdrop for the kitchen and dining room.

Yellow color in the interior

Improves metabolism, provides energy, induces a feeling of warmth and absorbs negative energy... It activates, tune in to creativity and inspires optimism.

The best place to use yellow in your home is in the kitchen. People are attracted to the warm and sunny atmosphere for cooking and eating.

If you are looking to boost your family's appetite, the yellow cuisine is worth a try.

Green color in the interior

It has a refreshing effect, creates an atmosphere of complete tranquility, relieves stress and smooths out conflicts, relieves stress and fatigue.

Light warm shades of green, such as delicate lime and pistachio colors, are perfect for walls in the bedroom and nursery, the rooms will look light, fresh and positive.

Our life flourishes with colors that inspire and enrich us. While it may seem counterintuitive, besides neutral beige, grays and whites, you can use vibrant and rich colors that will create a cozy and happy atmosphere in your home.

With the arrival of spring, simply add new colors to your interior, and your life will sparkle with new colors!

Our habitual living environment, which is formed with the help of design, has a huge impact on the health and psyche of all people living in the apartment. That is why it is vital that the layout, the objects and colors around us are consistent with the character traits of the residents, form a healthy psychological climate and contributed to a comfortable stay.

In recent years, a lot of attention has been paid to color. Color perception a person is a mysterious physiological phenomenon. We are able to perceive color only with our eyes, and it affects almost our entire body: our mood, well-being, health. Some believe that he is able to heal diseases and set the tone for all life. Let's take a look at how color affects interior design.

How does color affect a person?

It has long been known that a correctly selected range of colors when decorating rooms can work wonders. She not only decorates the interior and creates a positive mood among the people who are in it, but also supports a person in his endeavors.

For example, there are color combinations that help to significantly increase labor productivity and facilitate work, create a calm and cozy atmosphere conducive to good conversation and relaxation.

In addition, with the help of color, you can form an idea of objects, their beauty and purpose. Color allows you to emphasize certain details in the room, and hide others.

There is a whole science that studies color, but it is closely related to other areas of human knowledge. It is at the junction of psychology, physiology, physics, lighting engineering and art history that one can learn how and why color affects our organisms.

Long-term studies and observations have revealed that the colors of the short-wavelength part of the spectrum (blue, green, blue) and the long-wavelength part of the spectrum (yellow, red, orange) affect different parts of the human nervous system. Therefore, the first group of colors began to be called cold, and the second - warm.

Warm colors affect us like coffee in the morning. They temporarily tone up the nervous system, briefly increasing a person's performance, and then bright flashy colors begin to depress it - and resources for vigorous activity the person does not. These colors are great for sports facilities.

On the contrary, cold colors in the interior calm the nervous system. They help to wisely use the body's resources, to maintain performance longer. In addition, they allow you to quickly relieve stress and pacify a person. These colors are great for rooms where you have to do mental work, often work at a computer.

There is a special group of colors: shades of the middle part of the spectrum (blue-blue, green-blue, yellow-green colors) and mixed soft pastel colors (green-gray, gray-blue, turquoise colors). Their effect on humans is most beneficial. They have a calming, pacifying effect.

Psychologists and painters know that color affects a person, causing certain emotions. In addition, in different psychological conditions we can perceive the same color in different ways. In addition, historically, certain colors contain clear symbols - state, religious, secular. Using this array of knowledge, designers choose colors for the interior.

Note!
Color has a tremendous effect on a person, but not only is it able to influence us. Any piece of furniture, any structure in a room never appears uniformly colored before us.
