Partition standards for a unified knauf classification. Partitions "Knauf": technical characteristics, device, drawings, installation technology

Complete system KNAUF for a dry method of interior decoration includes:

  • basic materials: plasterboard sheets, metal profiles;
  • Additional materials - putty mixtures, reinforcing tapes, primers, screws, etc., as well as
  • tool and technical information about designs and production methods.

This series contains instructions for the selection of the type and design of the frame and frameless wall cladding made of drywall sheets, as well as working drawings of wall cladding units.

System cladding types KNAUF

Note: the mass of one square. meter of cladding is calculated for the case of using gypsum plasterboard sheets with a thickness of 12.5 mm.

Depending on the properties and field of application, the sheets are divided into the following types:

  • Plasterboard ordinary sheets (gypsum plasterboard)- gypsum plasterboards, used mainly for interior decoration buildings and premises with dry and normal humidity conditions.
  • Plasterboard moisture resistant sheets (GKLV)- gypsum plasterboards with reduced water absorption (less than 10%) and with increased resistance to moisture penetration; used in rooms with dry, normal, humid and wet humidity conditions in accordance with the current standards for building heat engineering.
  • Gypsum plasterboard sheets with increased resistance to open flame (GKLO)- gypsum plasterboards, which are more resistant to fire than usual; used in rooms with increased fire hazard.
  • Moisture-resistant gypsum plasterboard sheets with increased resistance to open flame (GKLVO)- gypsum plasterboard sheets that simultaneously have the properties of sheets of gypsum plasterboard and gypsum plasterboard.

When using sheets GKLV and GKLVO in rooms with humidity and wet modes should include exhaust ventilation ensuring normal air exchange in accordance with the current building codes for heating, ventilation and air conditioning (See KNAUF AutoCAD Nodes below).

The humidity regime of the premises of buildings and structures in winter period depending on the relative humidity and temperature of the internal air, it should be set according to table 1 of SNiP II-3-79 * "Construction heat engineering"

Plasterboard sheets are produced with different types longitudinal edges

Sealing of gypsum board joints with edges such as UK and PLUK is performed using a reinforcing tape.

The PLUK edge, in addition, allows for the sealing of gypsum board joints without a reinforcing tape, which reduces the number of operations, consumption and the range of materials.

The PC edge is mainly used to form the second skin layer in the C626 cladding.

The end edges are rectangular.

Metal frame made of galvanized metal profiles according to TU 1111-004-04001508-95

Metal profiles KNAUF are manufactured in accordance with TU 1111-004-04001508-95 and are long-length elements made by cold rolling of a thin steel strip 0.55-0.8 mm thick using modern equipment.

Standard profile length KNAUF is 2750, 3000, 4000, 4500 mm.

The maximum length of the profiles is 9000 mm.

Rack profiles (PS) are C-shaped and serve as upright frames for plasterboard claddings. The rack-mount profile is mounted in a pair with the corresponding guide profile.

PS profiles KNAUF are produced with the following cross-sectional dimensions:

It is allowed to connect rack-mount profiles along the length (1.073.9–2.00.1–9). When installing in overlapping areas, a rivet joint is used, a connection with screws of the LN9 type or with a cutter - by the "notch with bend" method.

Guide profiles (PN) are U-shaped and serve as guides for rack-mount profiles, as well as for the arrangement of jumpers between them in the frames of the cladding. They are mounted in tandem with the corresponding size PS-profile.

PN-profiles KNAUF are produced with the following cross-sectional dimensions:

(PNP 28 × 27) has a U-shape and serves as a guide for the ceiling profile, as well as for the arrangement of jumpers between them in the frames of the C623 cladding. Mounted in pairs with the corresponding size ceiling profile(PP 60 × 27).

Ceiling guide profile (PNP 28 × 27) is produced with pre-drilled holes F 8 mm in the profile wall with a step of about 250 mm. for attaching it to the supporting base.

Ceiling profile (PP 60 × 27) has a C-shape and serves as vertical racks of frames intended for cladding with gypsum plasterboard sheets. It is installed in a pair with a correspondingly sized ceiling guide profile (PNP 28 × 27).

Sound-proof and heat-insulating materials

As a sound-insulating and heat-insulating layer in gypsum plasterboard cladding systems KNAUF you should use products made of mineral and fiberglass on a synthetic binder and other materials included in the "List polymer materials and structures approved for use in construction by the USSR Ministry of Health "- M. 1985 and having a certificate fire safety and a hygienic certificate for use in appropriate premises.

Fasteners

For fastening the gypsum board to the cladding frame and fastening the cladding frame elements among themselves, the following types of fasteners are used:

a) for attaching the gypsum board to the frame:

The concept of "dry" construction implies the design and construction of light frame-sheathing structures, the installation of which requires a minimum of funds and physical effort. The German company KNAUF produces high-quality materials necessary for such work and is a kind of legislator that defines the standards for this type of activity. The Knauf system for drywall partitions is known to any professional builder. Now it is our turn to get acquainted with these constructions in more detail.

Series of partitions (according to the Knauf classification)

The company's specialists classify all frame sheathing partitions into several standard types:

Horizontal sectional view Construction type
С 111 - a frame made of a steel profile, sheathed with 1 layer of drywall sheets.
С 112 - the steel frame is sheathed with gypsum board sheets in 2 layers.
С 113 - "single" frame made of steel profile sheathed with a three-layer coating of gypsum plasterboard.
C 115 - Knauf partitions of this series have double metal carcass and 2 layers of plasterboard sheathing.
C 116 - double steel frame with space for communications. The structure is sheathed with 2 layers of plasterboard on each side.
С 118 - "Protection against penetration". The frame made of steel profiles is sheathed with gypsum board in 3 layers. Galvanized steel with a thickness of 0.5 mm is laid between the sheets.
С 121 - the frame of the partition made of wooden beams is sheathed with 1 layer of gypsum board.
C 122 - wooden frame with a two-layer plasterboard coating.

For external coating of frame structures KNAUF company produces durable high-tech gypsum-based material that does not contain toxic substances, is absolutely non-flammable and has excellent performance properties... Gypsum board is produced in the form of KNAUF sheets (GKL) - rectangular elements consisting of a reinforced gypsum "core" covered with specially treated cardboard.

Depending on the field of application, these sheets have various properties and are subdivided into types:

  • GKL - used in rooms with normal humidity.
  • GKLO - has increased fire resistance. The material is used for cladding partitions from a profile installed in fire-hazardous premises.
  • GKLV - moisture resistant material... Its cardboard cover is impregnated with a special composition.
  • GKLVO - combines the properties of moisture and fire resistance.

In addition to this classification, Knauf sheets have differences in the type of side edge. All material features are marked with markings that are applied to each sheet.

Partition frame features

The next constituent elements of the frame-sheathing structures of the Knauf system are metal profiles - strips of galvanized steel with a thickness of 0.5–0.8 mm. These products add strength to the frame, but do not make it heavier. total weight... Consider what kind of profile is needed for a plasterboard partition, which will be made according to the Knauf system:

Tools and fasteners

The design features of Knauf systems imply strict adherence to all manufacturer's recommendations regarding their installation. The company's specialists pay great attention to the characteristics and quality of the fastening material that is used during assembly frame partitions their drywall.

To connect the profile to each other, it is recommended to use screws (self-tapping screws) for metal LN 9 and LB 9 (piercing and drilling). For fastening Knauf sheets self-tapping screws type TN and TB are used with a length of 2.5–4 mm. The guide profile is fixed to the ceilings with simple or anchor dowels of 4, 6, 8 or 12 mm.

1 - LN screw; 2 - LB screw; 3 - TN screw; 4 - TB screw

The design of the KNAUF system plasterboard partition is very simple, and for its installation it is enough simple tool, which is in any "home" set:

  1. Roulette, level, plumb line - for marking.
  2. Perforator - holes for dowels, securing the guide profile.
  3. Screwdriver - installation of the frame and fastening the sheathing.
  4. Shears for metal - cutting a profile to size.
  5. Construction knife - cutting drywall.

Installation steps

Knauf specialists have developed phased technology installations drywall systems, implying a strict sequence of performance of all work. So let's consider short instruction for the installation of plasterboard partitions:

  • Markup. We mark with a dyeing cord straight line on the floor and then using a plumb line or laser level, we transfer this mark to the adjacent walls and ceiling.
  • Installation of the frame of the partition from the profile. To the floor and ceiling, with dowels (after 80–100 cm), we fasten the PN profile. It must be attached to the ceilings by laying a sealing material. In the PN we install and fix the rack-mount profile. The maximum distance between the uprights should not exceed 600 mm.
  • Equipment installation. V frame structure we install embedded elements (supports for cabinets, shelves, lamps, etc.). We install electrical wiring and all the necessary communications.
  • Frame cladding. On one side of the frame for a plasterboard partition, we mount sheets, fixing them with self-tapping screws every 250 mm.
  • Installation of soundproofing. Between the racks (as tightly as possible) we lay soundproofing material.
  • Full cladding. We fix the gypsum board on the remaining side of the frame. If the type of partition provides for a multilayer coating, each layer of sheets must be installed, shifting it 600 mm from the previous one.
  • Finishing. After finishing the lining of the frame, you need to putty the seams between the sheets and the caps of the fastening screws. Plasterboard must be primed for the final decorative finish.

This short review gypsum plasterboard systems, developed by the well-known German company KNAUF, is a kind of instruction that must be followed when installing partitions. Additional questions that arise during your work will be carefully considered by our experienced specialists. Do not hesitate, we will give you an answer that will provide a "pleasant" result in such tricky business like home renovation.

Walls and partitions are considered an important element of any home. Without them, it will not be possible to divide the building into separate rooms. Partitions "Knauf" are in special demand today, which are a steel frame and plasterboard sheathing. Such popularity is due to excellent quality and the affordable cost of products. All its characteristics correspond to European standards, and the installation is so simple that any person can handle it.

Dignity

Partitions "Knauf" have found their application due to their advantages:

  • ease and speed of installation (assembled element by element);
  • ease of repair ( finished wall can be quickly disassembled and moved to another place);
  • low cost;
  • lack of "wet" processes;
  • reliability and durability.

The named partitions have gained popularity among consumers due to other qualities:

  • the ability to use the structure in regions with seismic hazard;
  • high quality products;
  • the ability to lighten the building;
  • overall construction savings;
  • a variety of architectural solutions (you can build curvilinear forms);
  • the ability to obtain a structure with increased fire resistance, sound insulation, moisture resistance;
  • environmental friendliness;
  • variety can be covered with paint, wallpaper, decorative plaster).

Installation of partitions "Knauf"

As stated above, this system consists of plasterboard panels, internal filler and fasteners. Additionally, it can be equipped with specialized plates, which are distinguished by increased fire protection. Sheathing can be one-, two- or three-layer. In this case, drywall, hyposofiber or water panels are usually used.

As far as they are concerned, they are guides, rack-mount and load-bearing. Together they form a frame, with each element having a standard length of 3 or 4 meters.

If necessary, the profiles can be lengthened by overlapping them. They are fastened with self-tapping screws: four on each edge and two in the middle. Outer side the guide element is pasted over with insulating tape. Self-tapping screws are placed on it every 300 mm (maximum step - 1000 mm). TO supporting structures partitions are fastened with dowels.

Varieties

Depending on the purpose and device, "Knauf" partitions are divided into types: W111, W112, W113, W118. The W111 system is a frame sheathed with a single layer of material on both sides. Soundproofing is placed inside it. The guides are attached to the supporting structures using dowels. After attaching the drywall, the joints between the sheets are filled with a special compound.

The W112 partition includes a frame, two sheathing layers on both sides and sound insulation between them. The structures are also fastened with dowels, however, additional fixation of the second layer of cladding is required. This has a positive effect on fire resistance and sound insulation.

The W113 structure consists of a frame and three sheathing layers (on both sides). There is a non-combustible soundproofing inside. Such a wall has serious cladding, therefore, it should be fastened after a maximum of 50 cm.

The W118 partition has the same structure as the previous design, but it is reinforced with 0.5 mm thick galvanized sheet. It is also equipped with a reinforced frame made of a profile, 0.6 mm thick. The article presents drawings of the Knauf partitions and how they are attached.

Profile types

Depending on the purpose, Knauf profiles are divided into rack, guides and arched. Rack structures have a section in the form of the letter "C" and are located vertically in the frame. The uprights are installed together with guide rails of the appropriate size. The ends of the products are equipped with two holes through which engineering communications are laid (they are hidden in the walls). They are attached to the guides with self-tapping screws, which are easily centered thanks to the longitudinal grooves.

They have a section in the form of the letter "P" without curved edges - this allows you to get a snug fit of the racks to the upper and lower elements. They are needed not only for attaching the rack parts, but also for installing jumpers between them. During manufacturing, holes are drilled in structures into which dowels are inserted during installation.

Partitions "Knauf" specifications which are indicated in the table below, can also consist of arched profiles, which serve as the basis curvilinear structures... They are made in different radii, and the shelves can be turned inward or outward.

Cladding options

During the installation process, structures can be sheathed different kinds drywall sheets. The sheathing is attached to metal profiles and can have 1, 2 or 3 layers. This is necessary when the building is subject to deformation loads.

Ordinary gypsum board is used in rooms with normal humidity and differs from other types in gray... The composition includes protective additives that make the material "breathable". When manufactured, it is dyed green.

Special additives are added to fire-resistant sheets that are not subject to combustion. The material is different pink... Combined gypsum plasterboard combines the properties of fire-resistant and moisture resistant types... It can be recognized by its green color with red markings.

Installation technology of partitions "Knauf"

There is nothing complicated in this process, but it is important to know some rules and nuances. First you need to prepare the walls, floor and ceiling. They will need careful alignment to ensure that the guides fit smoothly. The next stage is marking, the evenness of which is checked with a level, a cord and a plumb line.

After preparing the base, proceed to the installation of the profiles:

  1. Install load-bearing elements and attach them with dowels (step - 200-400 mm).
  2. Have vertical structures, which are located at equal intervals (corresponds to half the width of the gypsum board).
  3. Attach them with self-tapping screws.
  4. Lay horizontal guides so that they set two identical planes of the future partition.
  5. The frame is fastened with a cross and special screws.

The result should be a frame with square cells 600x600 mm.

Warming and plasterboard sheathing

Installation of the "Knauf" partition includes the installation of a soundproof layer. Most a budget option allows you not to use additional materials, however, if necessary, you can put a foil-based insulation or mineral wool inside the frame.

After installing the frame, laying the insulation and engineering communications you can start attaching drywall. For these purposes, apply special screws... You should be aware that the connection of sheets can be carried out arbitrarily, however, a checkerboard pattern is preferable. Thanks to this, there will be no cracks on the structure and a stronger connection will be obtained.

Partitions "Knauf" - designs with original elements, distinguished by their durability and high quality. Their use will make it possible to erect a small building in a short time.

Drywall is widely used in apartment renovation. With its help, walls and ceilings are aligned, niches and boxes are designed, doorways are modernized, and many decor elements are performed. There are certain rules for the installation of these structures that must be followed. Leading drywall manufacturers have developed entire kits for consumer convenience. The Knauf technology has become especially popular in our country.

Benefits of using technology

Knauf produces a whole line of ready-made sets that differ depending on the type and size of the structure.

The main advantage of the Knauf kits: they include everything you need to mount a wall or partition, from drywall to fasteners. This gives the consumer several advantages, including:

  • Guarantee of use only quality materials... This is facilitated by a strict system of proprietary control, designed for minimum tolerances in the manufacture of gypsum board and other elements.
  • Ease of calculating the consumption of drywall and other parts of the structure. A simple online calculator available on many sites is enough. You need to enter into it the dimensions of your wall or partition, indicating the number of doors and windows, and it will give full list all the necessary elements with an indication of their quantity.
  • Each set is supplied by the manufacturer detailed instructions on assembly, thanks to which even an unprepared person can carry it out.
  • When buying materials separately, you can forget some of the details. Using the kit solves this problem.

The procedure for installing sets "Knauf"

Required preparatory work: alignment and striping. After that, a partition is placed:

  • Guide profiles are attached to the dowels.
  • At the selected optimal intervals, vertical posts... It is recommended to fix them using a cutter with a bend.
  • Horizontal jumpers are installed.
  • If necessary, communications are stretched, insulation is laid.
  • The GKL frame is sheathed with special branded self-tapping screws.
  • Carry out finishing corners and joints of sheets.

Installation features

The system for assembling walls and partitions using this technology has its own nuances, which must be taken into account in order to achieve an optimal result:

  • To ensure high strength individual elements the frame is reinforced by nesting one profile in another.
  • The guides are attached to the dowels at at least three points. The profile plane adjacent to the base is preliminarily pasted over with a damper tape.
  • Often it is necessary to join not long enough elements of the metal structure. In this case, the joints should be spaced, for example, they should be staggered. This will reduce the likelihood of vibrations or various deformations of the structure.
  • The racks are placed at a distance of 600 mm from each other. Thus, each sheet will be fixed on three profiles. If necessary, the step between the uprights can be reduced.
  • The profiles are fastened to each other using a cutter or branded self-tapping screws. Crab connectors are used at intersections.
  • GKL cladding elements are attached end-to-end with the necessary gaps to compensate for the thermal expansion of the material. In the future, they are filled with a special compound produced by the same firm "Knauf".
  • When building partitions made of gypsum plasterboard with window niches or doorways, it is forbidden to dock sheets above them. Otherwise, there is a risk of seam divergence due to vibrations arising from the use of windows and doors. The elements are docked closer to the corners of the room.

Types of structures provided by Knauf

The sets differ from each other in the number of skins, thickness and frame design. All partitions use branded insulation based on mineral wool... The following kits are distinguished:

  • C 111 - with single layer cladding. Minimum thickness and instability to loads do not allow such a structure to replace a full-fledged wall, its function is decorative and zoning.
  • C 112 - cladding in two layers on each side on a single frame.
  • Kits C 121 and C 122 are the same as the two above. The difference is that instead of profiles, they use wooden beams for the lathing.
  • C 115 - a set with a double frame, lined with two layers of plasterboard. This allows, by increasing the thickness of the partition, to place a double layer of mineral wool in it. In terms of its characteristics, such a structure is close to a conventional wall.
  • C 116 - also performed on a double spaced frame. Internal cavities remaining inside it make it possible to produce hidden installation communications. The double-layer cladding separated from the wall is realized in the C 626 set.
  • C 113 or C 367 - sets with triple plating. Designed for those cases where it is necessary to use drywall different types: moisture resistant, fireproof and common in many combinations.
  • C 118 - used for extra strong walls and partitions. In it, galvanized steel sheets with a thickness of 0.5 mm are laid between layers of drywall.
  • С 361, С 362, С 363 - sets on a single frame, sheathed in 1, 2 or 3 layers, respectively, with Knauf gypsum fiber super sheets. С 365-369 - modifications of partitions with gypsum fiber on different frames.
  • С 386.1 and С386.2 - kits, which provide for laying ventilation or other communication channels.

Various combinations of frames and claddings are possible. All of them are presented in the Knauf product line.

A single frame is used when it is not planned to hang something heavy on the wall, and also when significant insulation or sound insulation is not required. But to stick on the wall household appliances, having a solid weight, you will have to make a double frame with reinforcement.

Features of the formation of corners from drywall

An important role in the device drywall construction play corners. If it is wrong to collect them, then after a short time cracks will appear in these places, and the fastening of the sheets will be unreliable.

GKL structures can have both internal and outer corners... For the formation of each of them, their own techniques are applied. First of all, the frame is assembled.

Outside corners are made as follows:

  • Two vertical posts, forming a rib, are installed in the rails so as to form a single corner. It is unacceptable to mount them with an offset: in this case, there will be a void under the place where the drywall sheets are joined.
  • The racks are fixed in the guides with a pair of self-tapping screws at each attachment point. Professionals prefer to use a cutter: such a connection does not contain bulges that interfere with the tight fit of the gypsum board.
  • Fragments plasterboard sheathing screwed end-to-end, so that the plane of one element overlaps the end of the other, and reinforced with a special corner profile. You can fix it with putty or PVA glue.

Curved ribs are reinforced with a flexible plastic corner.
