Calculator ovulation and conception to calculate online. Calculate ovulation calendar for conception: online calculator for free

Designed for online calculation of the ovulation period, favorable and safe days for conceiving a child.

Ovulation is the release of a mature egg from the ovary into the abdominal cavity. During ovulation, the likelihood of getting pregnant is maximum. In addition, the days before and after ovulation are also considered favorable for conception, because sperm cells live for several days and the likelihood of fertilization is quite high.

Please note that the data obtained is calculated approximately based on the average statistical data. But each person is unique, therefore deviations from the average value are always possible. If you have regular cycle(with constant duration), the calculated data can be trusted. At irregular cycle online ovulation calculators cannot be used. In this case, use other methods to calculate ovulation (ultrasound, changes in basal temperature, ovulation tests).

To increase your chances of getting pregnant, regular sex is recommended (every 2-4 days) throughout your cycle. Sperm are capable of fertilization within several days (up to 7) after intercourse. Therefore, whenever ovulation occurs, they will be in place and ready to meet the egg. According to statistics, more than 90% of couples who have a regular sex life are able to conceive a child within two years.

Calculate ovulation yourself

  • measuring basal temperature and keeping a schedule;
  • on church slime;
  • using an ovulation test;
  • by the calendar method.

The calendar method is not complicated, but it does not give one hundred percent guarantee. As you know, ovulation occurs 14-16 days before the start of the next menstruation, i.e. if you have a "perfect" 28th cycle, ovulation will occur between about 12 and 16 days, and usually on day 14.

The term "ovulation" itself comes from the Latin ovum - egg; this is the name of the process of release of a mature, capable of fertilization egg from the ovary into the abdominal cavity.

Physiologically, ovulation is one of the stages of the menstrual cycle. Ovulation in women of childbearing age occurs periodically, every 21 to 35 days - in the middle of the menstrual cycle (the cycle is usually counted from the first day of menstruation). The frequency of the onset of ovulation is regulated by the hormones of the pituitary gland, the endocrine gland located in the brain, and the hormones of the ovary (estrogen and progesterone). Ovulation stops with the onset of pregnancy and after the extinction of menstrual function.

For sexual intercourse for the purpose of conception, the most favorable moment is when ovulation is about to occur and the sperm have enough time to enter the fallopian tubes, where they "wait" for the release of the female germ cell, or immediately after ovulation, when the egg is already in fallopian tube.

Day of conception

If you correctly calculate on what day ovulation will take place, and during this period of time to have sex, then there is a high probability that a woman will become pregnant.

So how can you determine ovulation? First of all, with the help of subjective signs. It can be short-term pain in the lower abdomen, a feeling of a "bursting bubble" in the middle of the cycle, some women note an increase in libido - this is due to the release of estrogens during ovulation - female sex hormones that are produced in the ovaries. Some signs can be detected during a routine gynecological examination, although it is difficult to imagine that a woman who believes that she does not have reproductive problems will turn to a gynecologist only to determine ovulation. However, a woman can notice a number of signs herself.

The day of ovulation can be determined by observing the secretion of mucus from the cervical canal. The maximum secretion of mucus is associated with a sharp increase in estrogen levels and coincides with the time of ovulation. In addition, the extensibility of mucus is sometimes used, and its crystallization is also monitored. During ovulation, mucus becomes very stringy, it can be stretched between the fingers up to 8-10 cm. The more pronounced crystallization, the more likely ovulation. This phenomenon is most pronounced 3-4 days before ovulation and reaches its maximum on the day of the expected ovulation. Crystallization is the result of biophysical and biochemical changes in cervical mucus. During this period, there is an increase in the amount of mucus and an increase in the concentration of salts, primarily sodium chloride, which, along with potassium ions, is responsible for the crystallization phenomenon. With pronounced crystallization, the mucus looks like a fern under the microscope. There are special microscopes for home use on which mucus or saliva can be applied. The main changes occur precisely in the vaginal mucus, but they also affect the entire body, therefore, for convenience, they began to work with saliva, in which it is also possible to determine the symptom of crystallization. This phenomenon is based on the operation of the device for determining ovulation "Baby-Plan".

The next most accurate and informative method for determining ovulation is the measurement of basal temperature - the temperature in the rectum. The method is quite simple and does not require almost any special equipment, except for an ordinary medical thermometer.

The basal temperature is measured with the same medical thermometer in the morning, immediately after waking up, without getting out of bed. The measurement must be carried out at the same time, introducing a thermometer into the anus to a depth of 4 - 5 cm. Temperature measurements are plotted on a graph, the vertical axis of which is the temperature, and the horizontal axis is the day of the menstrual cycle. The graph also shows the days of sexual intercourse.

In many women, with careful monitoring of the basal temperature graph, it can be revealed that there is a short drop in temperature before the temperature rises. According to this method, it is believed that the moment of ovulation occurs 12 hours before the increase in basal temperature or between the decline and the beginning of its rise.

Can I choose the gender of the baby?

When planning a pregnancy, few potential parents do not think about how to choose the gender of the unborn child in advance. Some need a boy, others a girl. Such planning becomes especially relevant when the family already has one child. As a rule, parents dream of having a second baby of the opposite sex.

There is only one more or less scientifically sound way to try to schedule the sex of the baby. A sperm with a male set of chromosomes moves faster, but lives less than a sperm with a female set. Therefore, the coincidence of sexual intercourse with ovulation (about 14 days before the onset of menstruation with a 28-day menstrual cycle) increases the likelihood of having a boy, and the birth of a girl is more likely if intercourse occurs 2-3 days earlier. However, this rule does not always work, since it concerns the classic situation of “superhealthy” parents in all respects. If any of the partners have deviations in health, this, as a rule, affects the "speed characteristics" of the spermatozoa. For example, this happens when the acid-base balance of the genital tract is disturbed or the qualitative composition of the secretion in women changes, or when men are physically fatigued (it also affects the mobility of the "lively").

But all these listed methods give only approximate results. Their accuracy allows you to determine the moment of ovulation only by using all of them in a complex and with a fairly long observation. What makes it possible to establish the moment of ovulation accurately and guaranteed to document it? There are, strictly speaking, only two such methods.

The first is ultrasound monitoring of the growth and development of the follicle - the bubble in which the egg matures, and determining the moment of its rupture - the actual ovulation. Often, when using modern devices, it is possible to see even the very moment of the release of the egg, if the study is carried out at the right time.

The second method is the dynamic determination of luteinizing hormone in the urine (it is also an ovarian hormone, the amount of which increases during ovulation). This method is much simpler and can be applied at home, for which special tests are used. Tests begin to be carried out 2 times a day (every 12 hours) 5 - 6 days before the expected ovulation, strictly following the instructions attached to them. The determination is stopped after the first positive result is obtained. Ovulation occurs approximately 16-28 hours after the first positive test result. Another test can be performed immediately for control. The most convenient and informative use of tests for luteinizing hormone in conjunction with measuring basal temperature. Dynamic determination of luteinizing hormone was previously used only in specialized medical institutions, but now there are test strips, the same as for determining the short term of pregnancy. These tests are sold in pharmacies. Thus, the task of determining the moment of ovulation should be recognized as practically solved.

I must say that if there are no alleged problems with conception, then you can start with a simpler method - calculating your own ovulation based on the duration of the menstrual cycle. For this, as we have already said, the duration of the menstrual cycle must be divided in half. To start "working" on conception, taking into account the fact that some spermatozoa live up to 7 days, a favorable period will end 3 days after ovulation a week before the expected ovulation.

Keep in mind that pregnancy may not occur immediately in the first "dangerous" period, because even healthy young women have 1-2 cycles per year in which ovulation (release of an egg) does not occur.

In addition, stress, climate change, etc., affect ovulation.

Conception pose

After you have calculated the days, the most favorable days for conception, you must give up douching, any soap and similar products after intercourse. Firstly, the very fact of washing contributes to the mechanical removal of sperm, and secondly, hygiene products create an environment in the vagina that is unfavorable for sperm. Yes, and before intercourse, you should take a shower ahead of time (30-60 minutes) so that a normal, natural environment can be restored in the vagina.

Couples looking to conceive often ask themselves: is it worth using a special pose? It's safe to say that any pose that is acceptable to both partners will do. After sex, it is better to lie down for 15-20 minutes on your side or with your pelvis raised to prevent sperm from leaking out.

We hope that our tips will help you transition to the parent-to-be category as soon as possible.

Don't put your child off until later

Mentally, young parents begin to prepare for the appearance of the baby, probably already at the wedding table. Why is a family created, if not for procreation? Some even before marriage stipulate who they want: a boy or a girl. But what a surprise it is when no signs of pregnancy appear.

This article is for those who are waiting for the onset of pregnancy as a miracle, but for some reason it does not come.In such cases, the young woman usually goes to the doctor. She wants to know how to get pregnant? How to calculate the best days to conceive?

To the doctor - together!

The spouse is most often invited to the antenatal clinic. You have to go there together, as you once went to the registry office. The gynecologist, of course, will tell you how to calculate the most favorable days for conceiving a baby. But before that, an anamnesis will be taken ( anamnesisa set of information obtained during a medical examination by questioning the subject himself and / or those who know him. The study of anamnesis, like the questioning in general, is not just a list of questions and answers to them. The style of the conversation between the doctor and the patient determines the psychological compatibility, which largely determines the ultimate goal - to alleviate the patient's condition ) - find out when and how both spouses were ill. After conducting the necessary research, they will give recommendations.

Doctors believe that it takes six months to prepare for conception. For half a year, the female body must get stronger in order to bear a healthy child. The body of a man, strange as it may seem, also needs preparation.

Vitaminization - first of all!

Even if the couple is healthy, the man and woman will be prescribed vitamins. And both are the same. Folic acid, vitamins A, E, C; will prescribe zinc and selenium.

Why, you ask?

The same general tonic drugs act on the male and female body in different ways.

  • Folic acid, which is called the "pregnancy vitamin". In women, before conception, it promotes the maturation of the eggs. In men, high-quality sperm. However, a woman will drink this vitamin until the end of her pregnancy. A man can stop with a successful onset of conception.
  • Vitamin A in men induces sexual desire and improves sperm quality. The unborn child needs vitamin A for the peephole. But usually doctors do not allow you to exceed its dosage.
  • "Women's vitamin" E, which is called the vitamin of youth and beauty, takes care of the skin, bones, nails. In men, it promotes sperm maturation.
  • Vitamin C is a good stimulant. It will protect sperm from free radicals. It is also important for women.
  • Selenium promotes sperm production and prolongs their lifespan, preventing them from dying prematurely.
  • Zinc also increases sperm vitality. This means that it is useful for men for full conception.
  • B vitamins are often prescribed to women on the eve of conception: B6 - contributes to the correct formation of the cerebral cortex in the unborn baby. The body of the expectant mother should be saturated with it. In addition, in combination with B12 and B1, it has a positive effect on the cardiovascular, musculoskeletal system of the developing fetus. These vitamins should be enough in the body of the expectant mother even before conception.
  • Vitamin D is useful for both mother and child. It is necessary for the formation of healthy teeth in a baby. And for the preservation of the teeth of a mother who carries a child under her heart.

When the future parents have grown stronger, physically and mentally prepared for the appearance of a small family member, you can start calculating the correct day of conception of the first child.

Methods for determining the best days to conceive

  • calendar
  • vaginal
  • ultrasonic
  • test
  • calculator
  • folk

Calendar way

The first method will probably be offered to you in the antenatal clinic. It consists in keeping a female calendar. But this must be done punctually, in the morning measuring the basal temperature at the same time in the rectum or vagina.

The data is neatly entered into the calendar. On normal days, the rectal temperature will be 36.6 °. Immediately before ovulation, it rises to 37 °. During ovulation - up to 37.2 °. At the end of the month, you can draw a curve by connecting the points of the values.

The next month, immediately after mensis, we again enter the measurement data into our calendar. It is advisable to continue measuring basal temperature for three consecutive months.

This will determine the length of your menstrual cycle. (Ideally, it is equal to 28 days). And calculate the days of ovulation when the egg, when mature, enters the fallopian tube. There comes a favorable moment for conception. As soon as your thermometer - preferably using an electronic one - it is more convenient and more accurate - showed 37 °, it means that the beneficial time for conception has come. Begin vigorous sexual activity.

A cycle shortened to 21 days or lengthened to 35 days should not be considered a deviation from the norm. In the first case, ovulation, which lasts only two days, will occur on days 6-7-8. (The second half for any cycle is 14 days). Not even all gynecologists know this! And you will know. In the second - on days 20-22. And not on the 10th and 17-18th, as many mistakenly believe, assuming that for any duration of the cycle, ovulation falls exactly in the middle.

Do not forget that several times a year there are cycles without ovulation, when the egg is not formed.

Vaginal way

This method is very simple. An experienced woman always feels ovulation. Vaginal discharge on such days resembles the contents of chicken protein. The mucus is just as viscous.

There are other signs as well. The chest swells. The ovary pulls and aches - on the side where the egg prepares to enter the fallopian tube to meet with the sperm. Sex drive increases. So nature itself takes care of the procreation.

How to determine the day of ovulation?

Ultrasound

One of the most accurate methods for determining the days of ovulation is ultrasound. A woman can always use ultrasound monitoring. It is also called folliculometry.

A highly qualified doctor on the device monitors the entire process of ovarian maturation, starting from the 8-10th day of the menstrual cycle, or immediately after menstruation, every two days. Until the follicle reaches 1.8-2.4 cm during ovulation. But the maturation of the follicle is not a guarantee of pregnancy, since it may not rupture, but continue to increase until it forms a cyst. Normally, the rupture of the follicle is indicated by the presence of fluid from the ruptured follicle in the back of the uterus and an increase in progesterone, the formation of a corpus luteum.

Note to moms!

Hello girls) I didn't think that the problem of stretch marks would touch me, but I will also write about it))) But there is nowhere to go, so I am writing here: How did I get rid of stretch marks after childbirth? I will be very glad if my method will help you too ...

Observing a woman for two to three months, the doctor can name the exact days of ovulation, guided by the characteristic signs on the ultrasound machine. He can also determine the reasons for its absence in the anovulatory cycle.

Using a test

A test method can be recommended. You can buy test strips, similar to those used to determine pregnancy, at the pharmacy. Just like pregnancy strips, they are dipped in urine. Their color will depend on the amount of estrogen in the body.

You need to monitor this for exactly a week. On anovulatory days, one bar will change color. The day before ovulation, both stripes will take on the same bright color. This means that the next day you can start creating the miracle of another small life. He's the best!

This is the method that women love to use the most. It is simpler than the basal temperature measurement method and more accurate.

Calculator

Not everyone knows that there is a modern method for determining ovulation with a special calculator. This can be done on the website http://mypreg.ru/index.php?mod=calczachatiya

You can try. For an accurate determination, you only need to enter the date of the last menstruation, the duration of the monthly cycle and the calculation period. The calculator will do the rest.

Suppose young parents are planning to conceive a child in the near future. The woman has a 24-day cycle. The last period was on October 1st. We take 3 calculation periods: October, November and December.

The calculator produces the following results:

Best days to conceive: from 9 to 17 October, from 2 to 10 November, from 26 November to 4 December.

As you can see, as many as 14 favorable days fall in November, use them for conception.

Folk method

This old way of determining the most favorable days for conceiving your own child is very simple. The duration of the female cycle is taken and divided exactly in half. For example, a woman has a classic cycle of 28 days. We divide it in half. And add and subtract one day at a time. This means that the best days for love joys will be days: from the 13th to the 15th.

Sometimes the lunar cycle is taken into account, which is important in a woman's life. It is believed that neither on the new moon, nor on the full moon, nor in the last third of the lunar cycle, on the waning moon, is it worth it to conceive a child. The waxing moon is best suited for this.

Girl or boy?

While expecting a child, families think about who will be born, a girl or a boy. Grandmothers are trying to determine this by certain criteria. If the belly is tapering forward: it means there will be a boy. If the belly is round, and the hips are plump, then we must wait for the girl.

Now the sex of the child is determined by ultrasound. Ultrasound “sees” better than any grandmother: who is hiding there in the mother’s tummy.

But in young families where the first-born is expected, they want to know the gender of the child even before it gets into this belly. The baby is also planned in families where there are already children. There is a boy, I want a girl. Or vice versa.

Doctors believe that if intercourse occurs on the eve of ovulation, a girl will be born. If after - a boy.

Eastern sages advise: for a son to be born, sleep with the headboard to the north. To those who are expecting a daughter - to the south.

An additional option of our service that calculates ovulation for conception is a special marking of days favorable for conceiving a girl, and days with a high probability of conceiving a boy. These categories of days are marked with corresponding icons.

Gynecologists call fertile days favorable for fertilization of the egg. Women who decide to calculate the ovulation calendar in our calculator will receive fairly accurate and reliable data on fertile days in their body.

How does ovulation happen?

Ovulation is the maturation of an egg in a woman's body within the biological cycle of the reproductive system. The maturation of an egg is its readiness for fertilization with a sperm cell and, as a result, the birth of a new life inside the expectant mother.

Normally, in a woman's body, the menstrual period lasts from 28 to 35 days. The starting point of this cycle is the first day of your period. The finish point is the first day of the next period. Usually, ovulation occurs exactly in the middle of this cycle. If the menstrual cycle is 28 days, then on the 14th day. However, seven days are considered fertile (or favorable for conception): 1-2 days before ovulation, ovulation itself, 1-2 days after it.

If fertilization did not occur during this period, the mature egg simply dies.

Luteal phase (corpus luteum phase)

The menstrual cycle usually repeats every twenty-eight days. On his first day, the woman notes spotting spotting from the vagina. This cycle is a normal physiological process created by nature with the aim of a woman's ability to become pregnant, carry and give birth to a baby.

Gynecologists distinguish three phases in the menstrual cycle:

  1. Follicular phase;
  2. Ovulatory phase;
  3. Luteal phase.

When your period comes, the follicular phase begins. The uterus rejects a layer of mucous membrane, prepared for the adoption of a fertilized egg, the maturation of a new follicle begins in the ovary. During this period, the hormones progesterone and estrogen decrease in the body. However, there is more hormone that stimulates the growth of the follicle. This phase lasts approximately thirteen days.

Then comes the ovulatory phase, which lasts only forty-eight hours. This period ends with the release of an egg, which can be fertilized by a sperm. At the moment, fertility is at its maximum.

The time comes for the luteal phase, or the phase of the corpus luteum, which will last about two weeks.

This phase can turn into pregnancy if the egg was successfully fertilized in the previous phase.

In the luteal phase, a corpus luteum is formed from a burst follicle, which are cells that generate progesterone - a necessary hormone to start pregnancy. During this period, the basal temperature increases, which will keep the corresponding indicators until the beginning of the next menstrual cycle, if the pregnancy has not begun. The corpus luteum is the main endocrine element of the ovary. Because without progesterone, gestation is impossible.

The pituitary gland in a woman's brain produces luteinizing hormone. It promotes the formation of granulosa cells in the ovarian follicle, which produce progesterone. The corpus luteum in a woman's body is a temporary gland that exists only in the luteal phase of the menstrual cycle. In the first three days of the corpus luteum phase, granulosa cells in the follicle cavity actively increase in size, capillaries appear between them. Each cell of the corpus luteum is saturated with blood vessels. In the corpus luteum, the most active blood flow of the body takes place during this period. Three to four days after the ovulatory phase, the generation of this unique blood supply system is completed - the network of vessels in the corpus luteum. At this moment, progesterone is most actively produced in the woman's body. If the fertilization of the egg does not occur, the generation of progesterone, the main function of the corpus luteum, ends on the twelfth day after ovulation. The corpus luteum in this case is an endocrine gland with a size of 1-1.5 cm, which is now entering the stage of reverse development.

Ways to Calculate Ovulation Calendar

Calendar calculation method

Each female body has its own individual calendar of days with maximum fertility, that is, the days most favorable for intercourse, as a result of which the fertilization of an egg with a sperm can occur. There is a calendar method for calculating ovulation - favorable days for conception. It is based on the characteristics of the menstrual cycle in a particular woman. It is not difficult to calculate it if the cycle is regular. For example, a girl knows for sure that her menstrual cycle is 30 days. In this case, thirty must be divided in half and subtract two days. That is 15 minus 2. Thus, on the thirteenth day after the first day of the last menstrual period, there is a favorable period for conception. Ovulation will be in our example on the fifteenth day, and fertile days begin on the thirteenth day of the cycle.

But this is possible only with a regular cycle that does not go astray. Such calculations will be inaccurate and ineffective with the menstrual cycle, which for a woman either increases or decreases during the year.

Ovulation test

You can calculate the day of ovulation in another way - buy an ovulation test at the pharmacy. The pharmaceutical market has a rich assortment of such tests. In the same way as a pregnancy test, an ovulation test should be immersed in a container of urine and wait for two strips to appear. If in a pharmacy pregnancy test markers of two stripes are focused on the presence of the hormone human chorionic gonadotropin (hCG) in the urine, then markers of luteinizing hormone (LH) are used in the ovulation test. With irregular periods, it is not easy to determine the exact date of ovulation using this method.

Physiological ovulation calculation

In addition to all of the above methods for calculating fertile days, there is a method that any girl can use independently (without the help of a specialist). It is enough just to carefully observe your own body and trust Mother Nature.

  1. The nature of the vaginal discharge;
  2. Soreness of the mammary glands;
  3. Increased libido (sexual desire for a partner);
  4. Emotional irritability
  5. Discomfort in the lower abdomen;
  6. Changes in well-being.

Let's talk about each feature in more detail.

In different phases of the cycle, which we talked about above, the expectant mother has different discharge. A day or two before the ovular phase, vaginal discharge is usually transparent, liquid (possibly stringy), similar in viscosity to egg white. In some cases, brown, bloody discharge is also possible during this period, popularly called "smear". And in the follicular phase, vaginal discharge is of a different nature - creamy, sticky, or there is no discharge.

Sometimes a girl's breasts swell a day or two before ovulation, touching the nipples becomes painful. This is due to an increase in the level of progesterone in a woman's body, that is, hormonal changes.

The increase in sexual attraction to the future father is due to nature itself, which makes it clear to the female body that now is the best time for conception with the subsequent bearing of a child.

In one of the ovaries (left or right), the dominant follicle matures. This process on the day of ovulation can be accompanied by pulling (as with menstruation) pain in the lower abdomen.

Basal temperature

If your menstrual cycle is irregular, the most accurate picture of fertile days on the calendar for you will be the method of regular measurements of basal temperature.

Within the phases of the menstrual cycle described above (follicular, ovulatory, luteal), in most cases, a woman has different basal temperature indicators. This is due to the change in the dominant hormones in the body of the expectant mother. In the follicular phase, the basal temperature is usually low. In the ovulatory phase, the basal temperature rises to values from thirty-seven to thirty-seven and three-tenths of degrees. And it is in the corresponding corridor of values to the new follicular phase.

In order for the method of measuring basal temperature to identify the most favorable days for conception to be effective, a woman should follow a number of recommendations:

  1. Measurements are made rectally or vaginally for at least five minutes in a calm supine position;
  2. It is better if the thermometer is mercury rather than electronic (the same for the entire measurement period);
  3. Measurements should be taken in the morning at the same hour, without leaving bed, after a long night's sleep (the duration of which is at least six hours);
  4. Measurements must be done for at least two months, recording the result every day.

The site has a very convenient service that allows the expectant mother to enter the basal temperature values into the program every day, which, after the daily input of information for two menstrual cycles in a woman, will accurately and clearly calculate the days of ovulation online.

Delivery of analyzes in the laboratory

Different methods for determining fertile days have different degrees of accuracy, because each woman's body is unique. Recall that calculating ovulation online in our calculator is one of the most highly accurate and effective methods.

There is another method for calculating ovulation days for a long-awaited pregnancy, which we will now talk about. At different stages of a woman's menstrual cycle, the content of one or another hormone changes in her body.

In a modern laboratory (where everything is sterile and accurate, like in a pharmacy), a girl who wants to get pregnant can be tested for the main female hormones.

  1. Follicle-stimulating hormone (FSH) increases by 3-5 days of the menstrual cycle;
  2. Luteinizing hormone (LH) - on days 3-8 or 21-23;
  3. Prolactin - 3-5 or 19-21 days;
  4. Estradiol - on days 4-7 and 6-10;
  5. Progesterone - on the 6-8th day.

The increased concentration of these hormones in the body, detected during laboratory tests, indicates to the gynecologist which phase or which day of the cycle is currently taking place. This allows you to accurately predict ovulation day and fertile days.

In addition, the delivery of tests to the laboratory will reveal a possible disease in the expectant mother and cure it in a timely manner.
