How to make a stork wing pattern. Master class on making crafts "Stork" for decorating the territory of the kindergarten

An old legend says that God gathered all the reptiles from the Garden of Eden into one bag and ordered a man to throw it into the sea with his own hands. And the curious Homo sapiens wanted to look at the creatures, untied the sack, and, of course, missed everyone. The Vladyka got angry and turned this man into a stork, so that he would protect other people from all kinds of toads and snakes. Since then, storks always settle near humans, feed on reptiles and bring us happiness.

Many old pictures show a stork with a baby. Among the Slavic peoples, it is generally accepted that this particular bird is responsible for procreation and well-being. If storks have settled on the roof, the house will be full of happiness and children's laughter. And if they have not settled, then a wonderful stork with a baby can be made with their own hands from improvised material and installed on a ridge or on an apple tree in the center of the garden.

Happiness from bottles

It will take

To get a stork from plastic bottles for the garden, we need to prepare the following materials:

  • empty bottles;
  • thick wide board for the base;
  • a rod or thick wire for the legs;
  • a piece of styrofoam 10 cm thick;
  • corrugated hose from the vacuum cleaner;
  • 2 plastic canisters with a volume of 5 liters;
  • metal mesh for wings;
  • stapler.

Master class on making happiness

For almost real storks to appear on the paths of your garden, you only need a few hours of enthusiastic DIY work.

  • Cut a head with a beak from a piece of foam, draw eyes or glue black beads with your own hands.

  • Cut a two-piece beak from a dark bottle and glue it in place.

  • We begin the master class on making the torso by cutting off the handle in the canister. Then you need to bend the canister-shaped mesh with your own hands and cut off the excess.

  • To create legs, bend the bar and secure the ends to the board.

  • We are conducting a master class on the preparation of plastic feathers.

  • We attach the feathers to the canister, starting from the tail.
  • The neck-slinging workshop begins with attaching the wire to the reinforcement. Then a hose is put on it.

  • Attach the small feathers around your neck with tape.

  • Fix the feathers to the mesh.

  • The stork for our garden will stand with folded wings, so we just fix all the feathers with a stapler with our own hands, overlapping each previous row by a third.

  • We finish the master class by connecting all the details and decorative tinting of the eyes, beak and legs. You can install this bird with your own hands in the depths of the garden for the whole summer. It will not deteriorate from the rain and will not fly away.

Fashionable toys today, sewn with your own hands from ordinary fabric according to simple patterns. We will not fully describe the master class on their manufacture.

  • Cut out the details of the craft from the fabric, sew and fill with any filler.
  • Separately, you need to make a beak (you can from cardboard) and attach it to the head. It remains to make clothes, glue the eyes, wrap the baby and hand it to the stork.

Of course, such a wet bird cannot be settled on the branches of the garden, but it can decorate a flower pot on the windowsill.

Another way to make your home rich and happy is to craft a stork on the nest. You can take the bird tilde patterns as a basis. Cut feathers from plastic white milk bottles, hold them together and make wings, decorating the ends with real feathers. Place a few white feathers on the top of the head. Form a tail out of real feathers, sew or glue on eyes and a tie, and put the bird in the nest.

It can be made from ordinary rods, fastened with wire. To make a stork with a baby, put any doll in its wings. The master class on making a lucky charm is over.

These two rag birds cannot be left on the paths of the garden, and the master class on making the first stork takes a lot of time and materials. Don't be discouraged and just roll the nest and cut the flat bird out of PCB or plywood. Color it in, put a string bag with a baby doll in its beak and that's it, the stork with the baby has already settled on your roof.

Polyurethane foam is a convenient material for creativity, since it is plastic, hardens quickly, and it is easy to process. With its help, they create original sculptures to decorate the garden area. A self-made stork made of polyurethane foam looks spectacular.

Materials and tools

Required:

  • five-liter plastic canister (will serve as the basis for the frame);
  • polyurethane foam;
  • styrofoam;
  • thick wire;
  • acrylic paint (black, gray, red);
  • facade varnish;
  • scotch;
  • pVA glue;
  • unnecessary electrodes;

Sculpture making

Stages of work:

  1. Make a wire frame for the neck. Tape foam strips to it to add volume.
  2. Cut out a piece of spherical foam, put it on the tip of the wire (this is the head). Attach a sliver that will serve as a nose.
  3. Make legs: pierce the canister with electrodes. In the joints with the plastic, it is necessary to put pieces of foam plastic in order to simulate the thickening at the stork's feet at the top.
  4. Cut two pieces of foam in a semicircle shape - these are the wings. Attach them with wire to the sides of the container.
  5. For strength, wrap the entire workpiece, except for the electrodes, with tape. You need to start from the head.
  6. Apply polyurethane foam to the workpiece in zigzags. Each layer must be dried for 20-30 minutes.
  7. After the foam has set, cut off all excess with a knife.
  8. Make a primer (dilute PVA glue with water in a 1: 2 ratio). Smear the stork. This will help reduce paint consumption.
  9. Paint the sculpture: tail and wingtips with gray and black paint, beak and legs with red.
  10. Cover the bird with varnish.
  11. Insert feathers into the neck of the canister and attach them to the walls with a stapler. Place the sculpture by burying the electrodes in the ground.

Figurines of storks for summer cottages bring happiness and benefits, and are also a good decoration for lawns and flower beds.

Sculpture made of plastic bottles and plywood

To work, you will need several plastic bottles in black and white. The basis of the construction will be a sheet of waterproof plywood.

To work, you will need the following tools and devices:

  • jigsaw;
  • scissors;
  • screwdriver or screwdriver;
  • pliers;
  • a hammer;
  • steel staples;
  • self-tapping screws;
  • glue gun;
  • red nail polish;
  • thick wire.

Storks can be crafted with plywood and plastic white milk bottles that are cut into fringes for feathering.

After the tools and materials are prepared, you can begin work.

It is carried out in the following sequence:

  1. A paper template of the bird's body and wings is made. The size of the statue is chosen based on the size of the site and the tastes of its owners.
  2. Plywood is marked with markings. Sawing out of blanks is carried out.
  3. The edges of the workpieces are ground. Plywood is primed.
  4. The wings are attached to the stork's body with self-tapping screws. As a rule, the wings are made in a folded position.
  5. Legs are made. A steel rod with a diameter of 6-10 mm is suitable for this. With the help of staples, steel parts are nailed to plywood. The lower edge of the rod can be sharpened for easy fixing of the product in the ground or nest.
  6. White milk bottles have their bottoms cut off. What is left is cut into 2 pieces vertically. Strips are cut with scissors. They will imitate feathers.
  7. In a similar way, a plastic fringe is prepared from black bottles.
  8. The cut pieces are attached to the plywood base. This is done from the tail. Black stripes are attached first. They are used to trim the lower body, tail and wings.
  9. The rest of the bird is trimmed with white plastic stripes.
  10. The beak is covered with red nail polish.
  11. The eyes are painted with black paint. You can use large buttons or eyes from one of the old toys.

The stork figure is ready. It can be easily attached to any surface. With the onset of inclement weather, the product is best removed and stored in a warm room until spring.

Making a stork from foam

As a rule, after external wall insulation is carried out, quite a lot of foam scraps remain. They do not need to be disposed of. Many interesting and beautiful crafts can be made from this material. Polyfoam is lightweight and easy to handle. You can quickly make a stork out of foam, without the use of complex tools.

To work, you will need the following materials and tools:

  • glue;
  • sharp knife;
  • steel bar;
  • saw on wood;
  • pliers;
  • sandpaper;
  • black paint;
  • paint brush.

Making a sculpture of a stork for a garden is carried out in the following sequence:

  1. Wire blanks are made that will imitate the legs of a bird. Their lower ends are sharpened. The upper ends of the rod are bent at right angles for fixing in the foam.
  2. The contours of the bird's body parts are applied to the foam. The largest piece should be the central torso. The rest of the fragments will be needed to give the figure volume, to create the wings, neck and head.
  3. The workpieces are cut out. This is best done with a saw.
  4. Steel rods are fixed to the central part of the body. In order for the subsequent fragments to lay tightly on the base, grooves for the rod are made in it. To avoid lateral vibrations, the rod is fixed to the base with additional brackets.
  5. Styrofoam strips are glued to the central part of the body to add volume. Wings are glued on top of them.
  6. The neck and head of the sculpture are placed on the pin.
  7. With the help of a knife and sandpaper, the final shape of the stork is given. Additional finishing is not needed, as it is possible to create a relief imitation of feathers on the foam.
  8. The tail and wings of the bird are painted with black paint. The beak can be wrapped with red insulating tape or painted.

The final stage of needlework is the eyes. They are made from steel bearings or glass balls.

Using polyurethane foam

An unused can of foam can be successfully used to make a volumetric figure of a stork. With the help of foam, you can quickly make a volumetric blank, from which you can cut the desired shape.

For work you will need:

  • plastic bottle with a capacity of 5 liters;
  • scotch;
  • styrofoam;
  • steel bar;
  • primer;
  • paint brush;
  • acrylic paints;
  • sharp knife;
  • rasp.

There is a similar set in the closet of every house. No additional costs are required.

A garden decoration is made in the form of a stork sculpture in the following sequence:

  1. The steel frame is assembled. For strength, it can be fixed by welding.
  2. A plastic bottle is put on the frame.
  3. Foam strips are attached to the neck wire with tape. You can grind them in advance in shape and glue them.
  4. On the pins for the legs, the thigh parts, carved from foam, are fitted.
  5. The finished frame is moistened with water. Foam is applied. It covers the entire surface of the workpiece, except for the wire imitating the legs.
  6. After the foam hardens, everything unnecessary is cut off. The relief is given with a knife and a rasp. After finishing, the sculpture is cleaned of sawdust and dust.
  7. The dried product is covered with a primer. Next, the bird needs to be painted with acrylics. Varnish is applied over the paint.

To make the sculpture look realistic, you can use natural black and white feathers that are inserted into the tips of the wings and tail.

For reliability, they need to be planted on polyurethane glue.

The finished figure can be installed in the garden for a long time. The stork, decorated with acrylic paints, perfectly tolerates the effects of ultraviolet radiation, cold and moisture.

Bright garden crafts made from plastic bottles are an easy and affordable way to decorate your favorite area. The original sculpture of a stork made of durable material will renew the familiar landscape and create a joyful mood. The figure of a bird made by your own hands will make the garden unique and become a family symbol of goodness and happiness.

How to make a stork from plastic containers

To make such a craft, you need to stock up on free time and be creative.

My yard is decorated with a stork figure, the base of which is a 5-liter plastic bottle covered with polyurethane foam and painted with acrylic facade dyes.

Such a wonderful stork is obtained from a plastic bottle and polyurethane foam.

What materials and tools will be needed

Creating your own bird design, you can assemble it completely from plastic containers, fastening them with glue or staples. Or you can make the sculpture more expressive by complementing the plastic structure with wooden details.

The frame of this bird is wooden, covered with plumage from plastic bottles

Or make individual elements of foam.

You can create such an exotic collection using ordinary plastic bottles and a piece of foam.

For our craft of impressive size, you will need:

  • 5-liter plastic canister - base of the body.

    5L canister forms the basis of the torso

  • Milk plastic bottles of 1 liter and 1.5 liters, from which white plumage is cut. You can do with a transparent container, only it should first be painted with white paint for outdoor use.
  • Dark plastic bottles of different capacities: 3 half-liter bottles will be needed for making legs and a beak, one and a half liter - for dark feathers.

    A dark plastic container will be needed for feathers, legs and beak

  • Styrofoam 10 cm thick, from which the head of a stork with a beak is cut.

    A bird's head is made from a piece of foam

  • Sandpaper.
  • Scissors.
  • Corrugated tube for the neck.

    A long bird's neck is made from a corrugated tube.

  • Metal mesh as a base for the wings.
  • Furniture stapler.
  • Metal rod 6-10 mm thick for feet.
  • Thin wire for fixing the wings.

    With the help of wire, the wings are firmly attached to the model of the body

  • Self-tapping screws.
  • Glue gun or universal glue.

    Universal glue quickly glues plastic and other materials

  • Acrylic facade paints, brushes.

Stork making stages

Having acquired tools and materials, they first procure all the parts of the bird, then assemble them.

Head

A head with a beak is cut out of the foam with a sharp knife.

A bird's head is cut from a piece of foam

Then grind the rough surface with sandpaper. You can paint the workpiece with white facade paint.

The workpiece is sanded with sandpaper to make the surface smooth

To strengthen the beak, 2 triangular plates are used, which are made from a dark 0.5 liter bottle. Having cut off the neck and bottom, cut the resulting cylinder along and cut out the triangles. The plates are bent in half and attached to the beak with self-tapping screws.

The beak is made out with plastic, fastening it to self-tapping screws

Paws

They are made from the top of 0.5 liter brown bottles. Containers with a cut-off bottom are cut lengthwise into 4 parts to the necks, sharpened at the ends and bent outward.

Paws with fingers are cut out of dark bottles

Plumage

The most time consuming and longest stage of preparatory work is the preparation of feathers. A large number of them will be required, of different lengths, shapes and colors: for the design of the wings and tail - long, dark and white, for the body - light smaller ones.

Light and dark feathers are used for crafts.

The neck and bottom of the bottle are cut off, the remaining middle part is cut along and stripes are cut out of the resulting rectangle. One edge of the strip is rounded. 6 large feathers are made from a liter bottle.

1 liter white bottle is divided into 6 parts

For the plumage of the neck, small feathers are cut out and the ends are shaped like teeth or fringes. You can decorate a long neck with large plates of halves of milk bottles, which are finely chopped along the edges.

Figure frame

The body is made from a canister with a cut off handle.

A canister with a severed handle is the body of our bird.

As the basis of the wings, a fine-mesh metal mesh is used, which is fixed to the canister with wire or staples. The mesh is cut at the edges in the shape of a wing and folded down.

A fine-mesh mesh is fixed on the canister - the basis of the wings

A wire is pushed into the neck of the canister and folded, forming the frame of a long neck. They fasten the wire to the metal rod of the legs and put on it a corrugated tube or hose from a vacuum cleaner.

Reinforce the neck wire and put a hose on it

A hole is made in the lower part of the container and a bent rod is threaded into it - these will be the legs.

Legs are made of wire, bending it and threading it into the hole at the bottom of the canister

Or they pierce the canister from below and insert curved rods, at the ends of which they put their paws with the neck up.

Assembling parts

After preparing all the parts, the structure is assembled.

  1. The head is set on a wire and additionally attached to the corrugated pipe with glue.
  2. Cover the body with plumage starting from the bottom. Light feathers are fixed on the canister with staples.

    Begin to fasten feathers from the lower part of the body

  3. A tail is formed from feathers, arranging them in rows and fixing them on the body with a stapler.
  4. The feathers are screwed onto the edge of the mesh wing with wire. To make the plumage of a stork with black edging along the edges of the white wings, the first two rows are made of dark colored feathers.

    The wings begin to be decorated with feathers from the edge, using dark-colored blanks

  5. The subsequent rows are formed from white feathers, overlapping them.

    The third and subsequent rows on the wing are made of white feathers

  6. A number of feathers are screwed at the base of the neck with self-tapping screws.

    It is not difficult to make a stork with wide wings

    In this case, the feathers are screwed onto the entire canister, and the mesh base of the wing is covered with plumage on both sides.

    On spread wings, feathers are attached on both sides

    Garden sculpture decoration

    Decorating a plastic craft can be made brighter, especially if only transparent bottles were used in its manufacture. For this, acrylic dyes for outdoor use are suitable. Pre-wipe the plastic container with an alcohol-based solution and paint over with white or black paint before cutting out the feathers.

    Acrylic facade paint is moisture resistant and does not fade under the sun

    The beak and legs are painted red or wrapped with red tape.

    The beak and legs are painted red

    Eyes are made from beads, decorative blanks for toys or small buttons that are put on glue. You can just paint them with black paint.

    Acrylic paints become brighter after varnishing.

    Stork making workshop

    There are many options for making a stork from plastic containers using elements made of wood, polyurethane foam, and polystyrene.

    Such an original composition of the stork family in the nest is also made of plastic

    Even a beginner will be able to make such a garden sculpture, guided by video material with step-by-step instructions for the workflow.

    Video: how to make a stork from plastic bottles

    Storks from plastic bottles are an original decorative decoration of a personal plot and a subject of universal admiration. After all, they are made from ordinary garbage, turned by skillful hands into works of art. Made of durable plastic, they are resistant to rain and snow. Over the years, the figures will not swell, the paint will not fade or peel off.

Did you assume, dear readers, what can be used as ... material for the manufacture of art objects? Although it may not be art, as such, in its literal meaning, but decoration for the garden - a small sculpture, it is quite possible to make. Indeed, polyurethane foam is unusually plastic, hardens quickly and is easily processed - is it not a material for creativity?

Today I will tell you how to make a stork sculpture out of polyurethane foam to decorate your garden or summer cottage. There are very few materials needed, and they are very cheap. If you pay attention to how much garden sculptures cost in hardware stores, you will understand that the price of a pair of foam cylinders is incomparable with their cost. In addition, the stork will be much better for us. So let's get started.

Stork frame

To begin with, we will select a suitable body for the stork - a frame on which the foam will be sprayed. A 5 liter plastic water canister will do just fine. We make the stork's neck out of wire, and to add volume, you can tape strips of foam plastic to the wire. The stork's legs can also be made of wire, and the nose and head can be cut out either from foam or wood - whichever is more convenient and preferable.

Sculpture making

After making a simple frame, we proceed to spray foam on our sculpture - we do it carefully, presenting the contours of the finished stork. To make it easier, print out a large bird. If the foam does not fall as you intended, no problem - after drying, the excess can be easily removed with a knife. By the way, if you wish, you can use real bird feathers for the tail - who knows, maybe you can make a peacock instead of a stork. After the foam has dried and processed with a knife, we paint the sculpture with ordinary acrylic paint, fix it in place in the garden, and invite friends to appreciate your creative genius. Good luck!
