The role of education and science in my life. Essay on the topic: The role of education in my life

Education in a person's life plays a huge role and it is difficult to argue with that. Education is one of the main aspects of any person's life. Each person learns something throughout his life, new skills and experience are obtained. Without a minimum education, it is impossible even to buy a loaf of bread at the store. After all, for this you need to count the required amount of money.

The more educated a person is, the easier it is for him to understand himself and the world around him, to solve problems that periodically arise for everyone. An educated person can always give important advice to his friend or relative, and indeed help any person to understand his difficulties.

A high level of education allows a person to apply their knowledge, skills and abilities in practice, achieving more and more worthy results. Some people who only graduated from high school have to work all day, seven days a week, for paltry wages. A person with a good education can work a little, but receive a large salary.

An educated person has much more opportunities to get a high-paying and promising job, since such people always easily and with pleasure learn something new, and then make the most of the resources of their knowledge.

An educated person always has something to talk about, such people are usually sociable and interesting. They have many friends and business partners. Thus, we can conclude that education plays a huge role in a person's life, therefore it is very important to approach with all responsibility the choice of the institute in which you want to enroll, and to decide what is really interesting for you in life.

No wonder they say: Learning is light, and ignorance is darkness. Lack of knowledge is darkness that obscures the view and does not allow to see the right path, all the possibilities and obstacles.

Together with the article "Essay on the topic" Education in human life "read:

Education - it is a process and result of a person's introduction to knowledge about the world, values, experience accumulated by previous generations. Through education, culture is transmitted from one generation to another.

On the one hand, education is influenced by the economic and political spheres of public life, as well as the socio-cultural environment - national, regional, religious traditions (therefore, the models and forms of education differ significantly from each other: we can talk about Russian, American, French education systems).

On the other hand, education is a relatively independent subsystem of social life, which can influence all spheres of society. Thus, the modernization of education in the country makes it possible to further improve the quality of labor resources and, consequently, contribute to the development of the economy. Civic education contributes to the democratization of the political sphere of society, legal education - to the strengthening of legal culture. In general, a quality education forms a harmonious personality both culturally and professionally.

Education is of great importance not only for society, but also for the individual. In modern society, education is the main "social lift" that allows a talented person to rise from the very bottom of social life and achieve a high social status.

The structure of education. Education, like any social subsystem, has its own structure. So, in the structure of education, one can distinguish educational institutions(schools, colleges, universities), social groups(teachers, students, learners), studying proccess(the process of transferring and assimilating knowledge, abilities, skills, values).

Table 6.1 shows the structure of education on the example of the Russian Federation. Basic general education in the Russian Federation before reaching the age of 15 is compulsory.

Table 6.1. Educational stages

In addition to preschool, general and vocational education, they sometimes distinguish:

O additional education, which takes place in parallel with the main one - circles, sections, Sunday schools, courses; O self-education- independent work to acquire knowledge about the world, experience, cultural values. Self-education is a free active path of cultural self-improvement, which allows you to achieve the best success in educational activities.

By forms of education during structuring, intramural, extramural, external, individualized, remote forms are distinguished.

History of education. The first schools appeared in the cultures of the Ancient East. They were intended mainly for the upper strata - priests, courtiers. Knowledge here was passed on ready-made in the form of strict step-by-step instructions.

For the first time, harmonious education became the goal of schools in Ancient Greece, where they studied literacy, mathematics, music, rhetoric, and gymnastics. The words "gymnasium", "lyceum", "academy" came to the languages of the world from the ancient Greek language.

In medieval Europe XI-XII centuries. the first universities appeared where classical education was given: Bologna (1088), Paris (1160), Oxford (1167). In Russia, the first university was Moscow (1755), then Kazan (1804) and other universities were founded. On the territory of modern Russia, the oldest is the University of Königsberg (1544), located in the city of Kaliningrad (formerly Königsberg).

In modern education, qualitative changes are taking place associated with the reform of education, the main goals of which are:

0 humanization of education - increasing the role of the individual as a result of taking into account the interests and needs of students; providing a wide range of educational services for the best disclosure of human abilities and talents; providing equal opportunities to representatives of different social strata and people with disabilities;

O humanization of education- strengthening the position of social and humanitarian sciences - history, philosophy, ethics, sociology, etc .;

O internationalization of education- convergence and harmonization of educational systems of different countries in order to organize a single educational space. A striking example of internationalization in the field of higher education is the Bologna process, which provides for an increase in the mobility of students and teachers, the transition to the system of bachelor's and master's degrees, etc.

Modern education is characterized by a tendency towards continuity: in order to keep up with the constantly changing modernity, a person must continuously learn and improve himself. This is facilitated by the presence of various forms of educational activity - advanced training courses, distance education, correspondence schools, etc. We can say that modern education is continuous and continues throughout life.

How is human education expressed?

Together with education, the multilateral experience accumulated over the centuries on the example of previous generations is adopted, and thanks to this, in turn, the road opens up to tomorrow. Thus, the role of education in a person's life simply cannot be overestimated, it is a kind of crossroads - living in the present, the wisdom of the past is used for achievements in the future.

According to experts, among people who received a good education in their youth, it is much less common to suffer from mental retardation, mental disorders and Alzheimer's disease in old age.

A high school diploma and a university graduation diploma are weak arguments in favor of the education of their bearer. Of course, in the modern world one cannot do without this, the availability of education documents gives certain advantages, formally, in employment, for example, in moral terms, this does not give superiority over others. Why? A certificate or diploma not supported by knowledge is the worst form of ignorance, and knowledge of a school subject “excellently” does not yet make a person educated. This concept implies a multifaceted combination:

  • basic and higher education;
  • compliance with norms of behavior and moral foundations;
  • personal development;
  • acquiring life experience;
  • realizing one's own potential for the benefit of the whole society;
  • desire to grow and improve, regardless of the heights achieved;
  • always remain the bearer of culture, no matter how it is expressed.

The main stages of human education

Each person throughout his life, from the moment of birth to a ripe old age, goes a long way of the educational process - at first he acquires certain knowledge and skills, and then consolidates them and does not stop developing and learning new things for himself. People get knowledge and education not only at school, it will be enough to pay attention to the catch phrase "the science of life" - one of the most intelligent teachers you have to deal with. And all the stages of a person's education look like this:

  • The rudiments of education - a person receives in infancy, when he learns everything, so to speak from scratch. Knowing the world around him, he absorbs everything on which a more complex science will be built in the future;
  • Elementary education - home or kindergarten education, when the first rules of behavior, the simplest concepts are instilled in the child, the ground is prepared for teaching writing and counting, in a form that is understandable to him;
  • School education - laying the foundations of education, generating a craving for knowledge, arousing his interest. In the process of school education, the child gets acquainted with other cultures, history, comprehends the true dimensions of the world and the knowledge accumulated in it;
  • Higher education - continues school, but only in a slightly different framework: training takes a narrow profile, with a focus on choosing a future profession. At this stage, young people prepare to face adulthood;
  • Practical education - this is work, almost the same thing happens here as in the university, only the place of practical ones, people acquire practical knowledge and skills, which soon turn into experience;
  • Self-education is a process of improving the knowledge obtained before, using a variety of materials and sources, from books and the Internet, to science, which are presented by everyday situations.

Benefits of higher education

What have we learned?

The role and significance of education in the life of a person and the society into which he then merges is very great and should not be neglected. The learning process is multifaceted, it can be difficult and thorny, but for their efforts, everyone receives an appropriate reward. From an early age to a ripe old age, we continue to learn, often without realizing it ourselves. And knowledge is also important because once having acquired it, then it will be impossible to lose it, in contrast to the position in society and material values. The lack of education of citizens is one of the main problems of modern society.

Education criteria

Education Is the result.

Educated person- a person who has mastered a certain amount of systematized knowledge and, moreover, is accustomed to thinking logically, highlighting causes and effects.

The main criterion for education- consistency of knowledge and consistency of thinking, manifested in the fact that a person is able to independently restore the missing links in the knowledge system using logical reasoning.

Depending on the amount of knowledge gained and achieved level of independent thinking distinguish between primary, secondary and higher education. By nature and focus education is subdivided into general, professional and polytechnic.

General education gives knowledge of the foundations of the sciences about nature, society, man, forms a dialectical-materialistic worldview, develops cognitive abilities. General education provides an understanding of the basic laws of development in the world around a person, educational and labor skills necessary for each person, and a variety of practical skills.

Polytechnic education introduces the basic principles of modern production, develops skills in handling the simplest tools that are used in everyday life and everyday life.

The role of education in human life

Through education, transmission occurs from one generation to the next.

On the one hand, education is influenced by the economic and political spheres of public life, as well as the socio-cultural environment - national, regional, religious traditions (therefore, the models and forms of education differ significantly from each other: we can talk about Russian, American, French education systems).

Civic education contributes to the democratization of the political sphere of society, legal education - to the strengthening of legal culture. In general, high-quality education forms a harmonious personality both in general cultural terms and professionally.

Education is of great importance not only for society, but also for the individual. In modern society, education is the main "social lift" that allows a talented person to rise from the very bottom of social life and achieve a high social status.

Education system

Education is one of the most important spheres of social life, on the functioning of which the intellectual, cultural, moral state depends. The end result is reduced to the education of the individual, i.e. its new quality, expressed in the totality of acquired knowledge, abilities and skills.

Education retains its potential as a determining factor in Russia's socio-economic development.

Education system includes:

  • preschool educational institutions;
  • educational institutions;
  • educational institutions of higher professional education (higher educational institution);
  • educational institutions of secondary specialized education (secondary specialized educational institution);
  • non-state educational institutions;
  • additional education.

Educational institutions represent a massive and extensive system. Their network affects the socio-economic situation, both in the country and in the regions. In educational institutions, the transfer of knowledge, moral principles and customs of society is carried out.

The most important social institution in the education system is the school.

Challenges facing education management:

  • low salaries of teachers;
  • insufficient material and technical support of educational institutions;
  • lack of staff;
  • insufficient professional level of education;
  • insufficient level of general culture.

Structure of education

Education, like any social subsystem, has its own structure. So, in the structure of education, one can distinguish educational institutions(schools, colleges, universities), social groups(teachers, students, learners), studying proccess(the process of transferring and assimilating knowledge, abilities, skills, values).

The table shows the structure of education on the example of the Russian Federation. Basic general education in the Russian Federation before reaching the age of 15 is compulsory.

Educational stages

In addition to preschool, general and vocational education, they sometimes distinguish:

  • additional education, which takes place in parallel with the main one - circles, sections, Sunday schools, courses;
  • self-education- independent work to acquire knowledge about the world, experience, cultural values. Self-education is a free active path of cultural self-improvement, which allows you to achieve the best success in educational activities.

By forms of education during structuring, intramural, extramural, external, individualized, remote forms are distinguished.

The selected information is transmitted to the learners with the help of certain teaching aids, sources of information (the teacher's word, textbook, visual and technical means).

Basic principles of the formation of the content of school education:

  • Humanity ensuring the priority of universal human values and human health, free development;
  • Scientificness, manifested in accordance with the knowledge proposed for study at school to the latest achievements of scientific, social and cultural progress;
  • Subsequence, which consists in planning content that develops along an ascending line, where each new knowledge builds on the previous one and flows from it;
  • Historicism, meaning the reproduction of history in school courses by the development of a particular branch of science, human practice, coverage of the activities of outstanding scientists in connection with the problems under study;
  • Systematic, which involves the consideration of the knowledge being studied and the skills being formed in the system, the construction of all training courses and the entire content of school education as systems that are included in each other and in the general system of human culture;
  • Connection with life as a way of verifying the validity of the knowledge and skills being studied and as a universal means of reinforcing school education with real practice;
  • Age appropriateness and the level of preparedness of schoolchildren to whom this or that system of knowledge and skills is offered for mastering;
  • Availability, determined by the structure of curricula and programs, the way of presenting scientific knowledge in educational books, as well as the order of introduction and the optimal number of studied scientific concepts and terms.

Two subsystems of education: training and upbringing

Thus, the concepts of "training" and "upbringing" are the most important pedagogical categories that make it possible to separate the interrelated, but not reducible subsystems of education as a purposeful, organized process of human socialization.

And here we are talking about the understanding of the term "education" in narrow pedagogical sense of the word as a subsystem of education, which is on a par with learning, at the same level, and not “below it” or “above it,” which can be schematically expressed as follows (Fig. 1).

Rice. 1. Two subsystems of education

This distinction in the education system has already been highlighted by Plato, who in the dialogue “Sophist” called for distinguishing “from the art of teaching the art of educating”, and in the “Laws” argued that “we recognize proper education as the most important thing in teaching”. Moreover, by upbringing, he understood the formation of a person's positive attitude to what he is taught, attaching not only to knowledge, but also to methods of activity.

Since then, many attempts have been made to define education and upbringing, to separate these processes. In recent decades, very promising approaches to solving this problem have been proposed in domestic pedagogical science, primarily by such researchers as AND I. Lerner, V.V. Kraevsky, B.M. Bim-Bad and etc.

Moreover, their concepts were not mutually exclusive, but supplemented each other and from the point of view of their main content were reduced to the following:

  • education and upbringing are subsystems of a single education process;
  • education and upbringing - the sides of a purposefully organized process of human socialization;
  • the difference between teaching and upbringing is that the first is mainly directed to the intellectual side of a person, and upbringing - to his emotional, practical, value side;
  • training and upbringing are not only interrelated processes, but also mutually supporting, complementing each other.

As noted Hegel, one cannot teach a carpenter's paw and not teach a carpenter, just as one cannot teach philosophy and not teach one to philosophize.

Hence follows the general conclusion that education will be upbringing only when, along with the educational goals, the goals of upbringing are set and realized. But nevertheless, there is a main link in this two-pronged process, and this is precisely teaching, which provides knowledge as the most solid foundation of upbringing.

By expression K. D. Ushinsky, education is construction, during which a building is erected, and knowledge is its foundation. This building has many floors: skills, abilities, abilities of trainees, but their strength depends primarily on the quality of the foundation laid in the form of knowledge.

The unity of teaching and upbringing is determined by the very nature of the pedagogical process, which includes purposeful teaching and upbringing as subsystems of education.

What is the role of education in human life? What people are considered educated and why is it so necessary to get an education? Probably, these questions concern every person at a certain stage of his life.

Many people know that it is necessary to get an education, but not everyone is aware of why.

Education is, first of all, prestige. Historically, intelligent, educated people in society are treated with greater respect than ignorant people who have not studied a single day. It is more interesting to communicate with an educated person,

Often on TV or on the Internet, we see performances of public people - those who have received a decent education and deserve their position in society. Agree, it would be unpleasant to hear from a person holding an honorary post, representing our country in the international arena, a wrong, illiterate speech. That is why, in order to get the job they want, some people spend most of their lives getting a decent education.

Education is the possession of knowledge, the ability to dispose of it, which helps people to make discoveries that improve our lives. So, we cannot imagine the world without the inventions of Albert Einstein - a camera, a refrigerator; the discoveries of Isaac Newton - the law of universal gravitation, his three famous laws of mechanics, the theory of the motion of celestial bodies; Leonardo da Vinci's projects, although not implemented during his lifetime, are so irreplaceable today - an airplane, a bicycle, a parachute, a tank. The contribution to science of our Russian scientist Mikhail Vasilyevich Lomonosov, who explained the most complex phenomena of physics, chemistry and astronomy, laid the foundation for many studies and discoveries, is enormous.

Yes, indeed, the role of education for a person in the modern world is very great. An intelligent, literate person has more opportunities to realize his potential, more opportunities to reveal his talent. Enlightened people are more successful and authoritative, they have a wide circle of friends and acquaintances, a significant status in society.

Well, do not forget that educated people are capable of more qualified work, and therefore, they will earn more than those who have not been trained.

Thus, we can say with confidence that it is impossible to live in the modern world without a decent education.

Composition reasoning on the topic The role of education in human life

Every citizen of our large state has the right to education. This right is enshrined in the Constitution of our country. The life of a modern, civilized person living in society is impossible without education. Quality education is the engine of every person's life and its important component.

Getting an education, a person acquires the necessary knowledge and skills, develops self-confidence. The personality is formed under the influence of learning. School education is the foundation of a person's personality and his life in general.

The child masters the first stage of education in kindergarten. Preschool education gives the child the simplest knowledge about the world around him. The kid acquires his first knowledge of mathematics, Russian language, music, literature, learns to think and analyze in a directed way.

In kindergarten, the child develops memory, thinking and speech. And also the preschooler acquires his first social skills.

School education includes a wide range of different subjects in its curriculum. Thanks to this, the child acquires basic knowledge in almost all areas of science. It develops thinking, speech, memory, social competence. It also helps to make an informed choice of a future profession, to decide what he would like to do all his life.

The school accepts a small child, and produces a socially and intellectually developed citizen.

Due to the wide range of subjects, the graduate of the school has knowledge in various scientific fields. This helps him in further obtaining a profession, and also characterizes him as a person with a broad outlook. Of course, not all subjects will be needed in future professional activities, but the knowledge gained helps to navigate in life, to analyze complex social situations.

And the skills of performing creative work, such as an essay or a project, teach you how to correctly formulate your thoughts, which contributes to an effective interview in the future.

The role of education is very important.
