Black spear - a tribe (sometimes a clan) of jungle trolls (according to some sources - island trolls), rescued by the orc leader Thrall and who entered the Horde during the Third War.

History

The Blackspear Tribe split from the Gurubashi Empire after the defeat of Hakkar the Soul Flayer. Various tribes established themselves in the vast territories of Stranglethorn Vale, but soon they began to fight each other. The Darkspear Tribe, the smallest of most other tribes, was completely ousted from the continent and settled on remote uninhabited islands, which were called the Blackspear Islands (it is believed that these islands are part of the Broken Isles). Before the outbreak of the Third War, Thrall managed to free his people from the prisons of Lordaeron and, at the direction of the prophet Medivh, went to the lands of Kalimdor. But on their way to their destination, Thrall's flotilla was caught in a violent storm near the Maelstrom, which forced the Horde to seek refuge in the bay of a nearby island. The elderly troll leader of the Darkspear, Witch Doctor Sen "jin, welcomed the orcs who had come to him in visions.

The trolls feel a duty to the orcs, over time, fighting alongside the tauren, they became friends with this race. They are suspicious of the Forsaken and the blood elves, but nonetheless show an uncharacteristic tolerance towards them.

The Blackspear Tribe doesn't really hate the Alliance races, but their loyalty to the Horde and bloodlust makes the Alliance a potential enemy. However, their respect for Thrall prevents them from waging a war against Theramore. The races of the Alliance do not trust the trolls at all, especially after the Second War, in which they fought against the forest trolls, although the Emberspear tribe had never fought with the races of the Alliance before meeting Thrall, if only for such a reason that they had never met before. The Darkspear trolls look at other uncivilized trolls with disdain.

The Ebon Spear does not have attacks of bloodlust, unlike his brothers. Theramoreans and night elves are extremely reluctant to thank the trolls for their support in the battle of Mount Hyjal, but the rest of the Alliance races outside Kalimdor were not present at this battle, and do not see the difference between the Darkspear trolls and other trolls.

Faith and magic

Upon joining the Horde, many Darkspear trolls learned about shamanism from the orcs and tauren. This path seemed to them worthy and valuable, but most follow their ancestral faith - voodoo witchcraft. This harmful practice includes strange potions, ritual dances and music, and making little dolls. Voodoo calls for a dark nature that other races choose to avoid. Trolls, especially adept at voodoo witchcraft, become healers or dark hunters. In voodoo, trolls worship the Loa pantheon. It is known that the Ebon Spear worships Loa Gurubashi because were once part of this empire, with the exception of Hakkar the Soul Flayer and Loa Bwonsamdi and Gonku. In addition, the druids of the tribe came into closer contact with the nature spirits, learning from the Loa and, according to some, directly from the Emerald Dream.

Technology

The trolls of the jungle see technology as not science, but simply another form of magic. For them, designing a technological device is tantamount to creating a talisman or amulet, only more actions are needed for this. And using the power of steam is just an alternative way to bind the spirits of air and water and submit to your will. Most of the jungle trolls' inventions combine the use of natural and alchemical ingredients with a scientific approach. Specialization in a narrow area is not typical for trolls, as is the case for orcs and weapons. Instead, the trolls study whatever application of science they find most interesting. Some trolls even claim that spirits communicate with them in dreams, suggesting new ways that they can be invoked through technology. Troll inventions include a venom extractor, swamp buggy shoes, and a dart grenade.

Names

Trolls have their own naming system, which is simple on the one hand, but surprisingly complex on the other. Their language, Zandali, is largely syllabic, and various syllables can be added to the beginning or end of the troll's name to denote status or ability. The suffix "Jin", for example, refers to a tribal leader or elder, while the prefix "Zul" means the voodoo master. However, trolls use mainly one or two syllables from the name in order to facilitate pronunciation. Troll naming methods also vary with species, tribe, and sometimes family. The Darkspear trolls, given their jungle troll roots, use the following system:

Male names: Ox, Ros, Mig, Gal.

Female names: Shiy, Mies, Hai, So.

Society and culture

Although the Darkspear trolls have joined the Horde and turned away from the bloodthirsty past of the jungle trolls, it is very difficult for them to get used to the new way of life. They grew up in an evil and cruel world around them, and their nature can be fully described with the same words. Changes in consciousness don't happen overnight, and there is still a lot that trolls need to get used to. The first change for them was to stop eating the flesh of their fallen enemies.

Another, more difficult step for the Darkspear trolls was to change their own social order. The life of the troll community is riddled with rituals and ceremonies, some of which are quite brutal. For example, the rite of initiation of children for adoption into the tribe: when a child was six years old, he was taken to remote areas of the forest and left there. If the child returned, he was considered accepted into the tribe. Other rites are mortal combat for the desired object, duels with blunt weapons during the marriage ceremony to establish dominance in marriage, and youth fights with the elderly to give the old a noble death in battle. This practice of rejecting the weak gave the trolls very strong warriors, but left no compassion within society. The orcs and tauren have worked alongside the shamans of the Darkspear tribe to eradicate these barbaric practices, and together they have achieved fairly good success. Traditions still remain, but the trolls are trying not to use the most bloodthirsty.

Several trolls have agreed to live within the Orc cities. These trolls have completely abandoned their old wild life and are eager to learn from the orcs and tauren. They sometimes do not understand how one can be a strong warrior and, at the same time, noble, but Thrall embodies such a noble warrior for them, and they strive to comprehend the concept of "honor".

The trolls are eager to help the Horde. They learn new ways of shamanism and begin to lead a less immoral lifestyle. They enjoy being part of something more than just a handful of warring tribes, for this they are ready to change everything in their lives. Relations with the orcs and tauren began to change the savage nature of the Darkspear trolls. These trolls strive to find themselves in the world, to get a chance to develop and prosper.

Philosophy

Within the tribe, two philosophical trends prevail.

Living in the future.

Do what it takes

Blackspear was in great trouble, but then Thrall saved them. The tribe swore allegiance to him and joined the Horde, but some still cling to the old ways. They value their elaborate, structured culture, but they know the Horde doesn't approve of it. These trolls decided to do the right thing. They maintain the illusion of all-encompassing shamanism, but either practice the voodoo tradition in secret, or mix the two into a strange mixture. The Black Coppers, who have not completely abandoned their voodoo connection, do not see this as treason to the Horde. They serve Thrall with extreme loyalty, but remain pragmatic. If the Horde fail the trolls, they will retain their traditional faith to replace shamanism. Trolls who do the right thing also follow the path of the witch doctor, but carefully avoid the darker aspects of that path (at least when other races are watching).

Location

The Darkspear trolls still managed to snatch the Echo Isles from the clutches of the sorcerer Zalazane and now they settled there again, although they did not abandon the village of Sen "jin. But often trolls can be found in the same place as the orcs, and from the village of Sen" jin to the orc the town of Razor Hill is literally a stone's throw.

As members of the Horde, the tribe's trolls have established settlements throughout Kalimdor. The largest city built by trolls in the Horde is Shadow Prey Village in Desolation. Witch Doctor Jean "zil has built a small outpost of Malak" Jean in Stonetalon Mountains. Together with the orcs, the trolls built a fishing outpost

Trolls are the oldest races available to players (with the exception, perhaps, of the draenei). The Darkspear trolls in particular are just one tribe, a handful of members of a vast race. While the orcs, undead, tauren and blood elves were busy solving their own issues, the trolls of the Darkspear tribe, without attracting too much attention, dealt with their internal problems without outside help.
Most of the trolls living today are the descendants of two powerful empires that once existed: the Gurubashi, located in the southeast of Kalimdor, and the Amani in the central regions of the continent. There were other tribes that were not related to these two empires - the Gundrak trolls in the north, but most of the tribes could be considered either the Gurubashi or the Amani. Before the Great Rift, trolls were a huge part of the population of Azeroth. Despite the fact that the Gurubashi and Amani were not particularly fond of each other, conflicts between the two troll empires hardly arose. Wise rulers preferred to fight with common external enemies, rather than with their kindred. At that time, such an external enemy was the akirs - humanoid insects. Both empires fought them incessantly for thousands of years and as a result, the Akir Empire split into two city-states - Azjol "Nerub in the north and An" Qiraj in the south. When the akirs were done away with, the trolls returned to their normal lives, greatly expanding their boundaries.

However, there are some ancient records that say there was a third race of trolls. She broke away from the Amani, made her way to the heart of Kalimdor, founded her own settlement there, and discovered the Well of Eternity, which gave these trolls great strength. Legends say that these trolls were the ancestors of today's night elves, but there is no confirmation of this, nor is there an unequivocal refutation of the guess. Using magic never seen before, the night elves pursued and slaughtered the trolls until they were left with only a pitiful shadow of what they once were.

Thus, the night elves began to rule over the territory of Kalimdor. But their reign did not last long. Since the magic of the elves was truly great, it attracted the attention of the Burning Legion. He, in turn, launched the events of the War of the Ancients, which eventually led to the Great Rift, which literally split a single continent into three parts. After the Rift, the trolls were cut off from each other. The Amani were fortunate to have most of their people close by - in the north of the Eastern Kingdoms. The Gurubashi Empire was less fortunate. The once powerful state split into separate tribes that settled in the jungles of Stranglethorn Vale and the deserts of Tanaris.

The misadventures of the trolls did not end there. Desperate and still dreaming of reviving the great Gurubashi empire, the priests turned to the Old Gods they once worshiped. Hakkar the Soul Flayer, one of the most vicious and bloodthirsty spirits, answered the call. And although Hakkar gave the Gurubashi people tremendous power, in return he demanded daily sacrifices, intending to fully penetrate the physical world. Seeing the ruinous fruits of this bloody alliance, the Zandalar tribe managed to convince the others to abandon the dangerous venture before it was too late. They managed to destroy the avatar of Hakkar, and his priests Atal "ai were driven north to the Swamps of Sorrow.

Meanwhile, the internal contradictions of the Gurubashi people became more and more widespread. Civil war raged unceasingly between tribes in the jungle of Stranglethorn Vale. The Darkspear Tribe soon found themselves outside the jungle, which was their home. They had to move to the islands, where they lived pretty well for several years. Like all of their kin, the Darkspear trolls were cunning and cruel savages. Darkspear trolls are the smallest tropical trolls and at the same time the most intelligent of their species. The troll race as a whole is distinguished by its particular cruelty, a tendency to war and conflict. Almost all tribes practice ritual sacrifice and cannibalism, as well as black magic and voodoo magic. The Darkspear tribe was no exception at the time.

Along with some other tribes, the Darkspear people believe in spirits. Believes that spirits are present in the world in the same way as other living beings. Spirits can be greedy, hostile and dangerous, but also benevolent and merciful. Trolls believe that their ancestors, after death, linger in the world of the living under the guise of spirits and require pacification through bloody sacrifices. Cannibalism is also a ritual directed against enemies. Devouring the flesh of their enemies, they also devour their souls. Thus, the souls of the enemies they killed will no longer be able to return to this world to take revenge. The Tribe of the Darkspear held these beliefs throughout their lives on the abandoned islands.

The Darkspear tribe was ruled by the powerful witch doctor Sen "jin, who was known for his ability to closely communicate with spirits. And although there was no urgent need to protect the settlement on the abandoned islands, this does not mean that there were no threats at all. Murlocs inhabited the islands - small toothy creatures, As a rule, wandering in small groups along the coast. Murlocs are cautious creatures - they prefer not to attack first and attack only if they were provoked to aggression. But, in addition to the murlocs, other troubles awaited the trolls, which completely changed the fate of the tribe. First, on the islands. people from the kingdom of Kul Tiras landed and established a settlement here, pushing the Blackspear even deeper into the jungle.Secondly, not aggressive by nature, the murlocs suddenly began to attack the trolls from all directions with inexplicable fury.

A terrible creature - the Sea Witch - has caused sudden attacks by the murlocs. The Sea Witch was a deity worshiped by the murlocs. It was a dead banshee naga taking control of the Forsaken Isles. Powerful and merciless, she demanded daily sacrifices from the murlocs, which led to attacks on the trolls. Sen "Jin and his tribe were caught between two fires: on the one hand, the people of Kul Tiras, and on the other, the Murlocs of the Sea Witch. Both enemies posed a real threat to the tribe's existence in the future. And then one night Sen" Jin received a vision from the spirits - the image of a young Orc, the one who could drive people away, lead the people of the Darkspear from the islands and give hope for a new destiny.

Soon after the vision, another party visited the Forsaken Isles - Thrall, with his few forces, traveled to Kalimdor in search of his destiny at the behest of the Prophet Medivh. Thrall's horde stole ships from Kul Tiras to cross the sea, but underestimated the danger of the Maelstrom and nearly lost all their ships. Thrall was forced to temporarily land on the Lost Isles. Sen "jin approached him to warn about the settlement of people nearby. Thrall, who had already dealt with people in the Eastern Kingdoms, believed the witch doctor and agreed to help. He did not have warm feelings for the human race, and Sen" jin seemed to be friendly and even offered his people for help.

This whole story took place in the campaign of the original Warcraft III. Thrall succeeded in pushing back the human forces, but he and his men were captured by the murlocs. Thrall, Senjin and a group of orcs and trolls were dragged underground to sacrifice to the great Sea Witch. While Thrall was trying to free himself and his people, Senjin was led to sacrifice to the high mage of the murlocs in the deepest part of the lair. Thrall managed to free himself and with a group of his people he made his way to the place where Sen "jin was kept. Unfortunately, it was too late - the witch doctor was dying. With his last breath, he told Thrall about his vision and asked him to lead the Darkspear tribe from the island.

The Sea Witch was furious. Not only was her sanctuary desecrated, but her servants were also mercilessly killed. She summoned a mighty storm, and huge waves rolled over the Abandoned Isles. Her desire was to take revenge on the orcs and end the splinter that the Darkspear trolls had been for her.

Sen "jin is dead, but his legacy will live on. The healer's son, Vol" jin, led the tribe. In commemoration of Sen "jin's prowess, Thrall offered the Darkspear tribe a place in the Horde and refuge in the kingdom he intended to create. In gratitude for the Horde's generous offer and in memory of Sen" Jin, Wol "'s last words, the jin and his people swore allegiance to loyalty to Thrall. The Orcs managed to repair the ships and they sailed to Kalimdor, taking some of the Darkspear's population with them. The oxjin remained on the islands with the remaining trolls to gather the survivors and cope with the consequences of the Sea Witch's wrath. A year later, they arrived in Durotar as part of the great Horde. Note, this does not mean that the trolls did not take part in the Third War at Mount Hyjal at all - some of those whom Thrall took with him helped him with faith and truth to gain a foothold in Durotar and during the subsequent war. However, most of the people of the Darkspear still remained on the sidelines.

Upon arriving in Durotar, Vol Jin and his tribe settled on the Echo Isles (possibly named after their resemblance to the Abandoned Isles, the former home of the trolls) and established a settlement that was soon attacked. The Proudmoore trolls were sentenced to death, and once again the Wol Jin and his people escaped, this time thanks to three heroes - the half-orc Rexar, the hunter Rohan, and Chen Wild Porter (a pandaren picked up by the Horde along the way). Forced to leave the Echo Isles, Vol "genie continued to help Rexar and Rohan and advised him to win over the tauren and ogres to his side in the fight against the people.

When the threat of Kul Tiras was done away with, Vol "the genie and his men moved back to the Echo Isles with the intention of living here peacefully and happily. Unfortunately, his dreams of peace this time were not destined to come true. Peace was absent from the ranks of the Darkspear. Zalazane, formerly one of the elders responsible for training the young priests and mages of the Darkspear, was unhappy with the alliance with the Horde and captured many of the trolls on the island. The jin had no choice but to hastily retreat with the rest of his forces. After reaching the coast of the mainland, Blackspear settled in a small fishing village, which became a refuge from the threat of Zalazane. The village got its name in honor of the father of Wol "gin - Village Sen" gin. The village of Sen "jin is very small and looks more like an ordinary outpost. Master Gadrin is one of the most loyal advisers of Vol" jin. Gadrin is determined to find Zalazane and return the Echo Isles to the Darkspear's domain once and for all. All Horde players who arrive in the village receive a mission from Gadrin to track down Zalazane, as well as end the threat from the centaurs who have settled nearby, raiding the village.

As for the Ox Jin, he was offered a place in the Grommash fortress, where he could give Thrall useful advice, guided by his wisdom, flair and cunning, which he inherited from his father. In particular, all these traits are manifested in the leader when he speaks When the opportunity arose to launch hostilities in Stranglethorn Vale, Vol "genie suggested to the Horde that efforts should be made to bring back Trol" kalar. This blade had one interesting property - when the sword struck a troll, it stopped the natural healing of wounds common to all trolls. At all times when a man wielded the sword, trolls were forced to avoid meeting him, which made this weapon especially useful in battles with other tribes in Stranglethorn Vale.

Ox "genie and his people do not advertise their past, as they are ashamed of it. They had to change their traditions when they became part of the Horde. The Darkspear tribe understood that the terrible rituals of the trolls cast a shadow on their allies and insult them. Instead of sentient beings, for sacrifices began to use wild animals.Cannibalism became more unacceptable, and to fight the souls of enemies, the trolls began to use the enchantment of healers and ... the dried heads. ...

The trolls happily greeted the noble tauren, but they just shook their heads to an alliance with the Forsaken, as if Thrall decided it would be so. Trolls can be understood - they view the undead as evil spirits that will never find rest and therefore bring only pain and suffering to the world. They have to endure the undead, but humility is not easy for them. As for the attitude towards the blood elves, there is no unambiguous definition in the game. One can only guess that since the sharp-eared were descendants of the night elves, the trolls should not have excessive sympathy for them. And if you remember the excessive addiction of the blood elves to magic and demonic powers, then it is not yet known who - elves or undead - the Dark Spear should dislike more.

Nevertheless, the Horde united in itself all these dissimilar races, so that, despite conflicting feelings for each other, the peoples are forced to put up with an unpleasant neighborhood. Throughout the events of Burning Crusade, trolls, like undead, remained in the background. They established a large settlement in the swamplands of Zangarmarsh, and not just to help the Horde gain a foothold in Outland. The Darkspear trolls wanted to connect with the spirits of the mysterious continent.

Meanwhile, Ox "genie still remained in Thrall's quarters in Orgrimmar. In Wrath of the Lich King, the trolls served the Horde's interests. Their fighters can be found everywhere in Nodskol. When Sylvanas and her people were smoked out of the Undercity," the genie advised Leave the Forsaken as part of the Horde for the Warchief, despite his prejudice against the undead. The trolls of the Darkspear tribe honor Thrall and are ready to give their lives for him without delay. However, it is not surprising. When a powerful healer and leader tells you that he saw a sign, you will certainly follow him. For the Darkspear, Thrall personifies the salvation promised and predicted by Master Sen "genie. And despite all the seemingly strange guidelines for the choice of allies, Thrall is the very orc, after whom the Ox" genie will go even to the ends of Azeroth.

The Zul "Draka" trolls appeared in WoTLK - they had no direct connection with the Black Spear - they settled in the Zim camp of Torga and were neutral towards both the Horde and the Alliance. The mystics of Zim "Torga are especially interested in the sudden insanity of the Drakkari people. And even though the brothers cannot be saved, these trolls are trying to save all the artifacts that they can collect. In Northrend, the Darkspear tribe does not pursue any goals of its own - the tribe's fighters can be found wherever the forces of the Horde are. In the Silver Tournament camp, Blackspear trains warriors to fight the Lich King, along with other peoples.

But if you look at the role of the Darkspear in general, then while the other races of the Horde were preoccupied with some of their hardships, the trolls simply helped Thrall and followed him everywhere. The trolls can be found at Camp Thunder "gol" in Stranglethorn Vale, where they continue to fight the tropical tribes and seek out Yenniku, the troll who is called the “son of the chief.” Does this mean that Yenniku is the son of Sen “genie and brother of Vol” genie, or Is this the son of the current chieftain of the tribe? There is no answer yet. Yenniku was captured by Zanzil Outcast and the players had to use the Soul Gem to free his soul from the clutches of Zanzil. Small settlements of the Darkspear can be found in several other places, in particular in the Wasteland - the village Night Hunters, Fort Zoram "gar" in Ashenvale and the small, hidden from prying eyes, the village of Malaka "gin" in Stonetalon Mountains.

There is a tribe of trolls in Stranglethorn Vale - the Zandalar tribe, the one we already mentioned. They still confront Hakkar, who was reborn in the ruins of Zul "Guruba. The Zandalar tribe is indifferent to the Alliance, and is completely uninterested in the fate of the Darkspear in the Horde. It is much more important for them to contain the threat of Hakkar's return to this world. These trolls have common roots with the trolls. Zul "Fight in the North.

Another friendly tribe of trolls in the Hinterlands is the Broken Fang. The Broken Fang Tribe was part of the Amani Empire, but was threatened with total annihilation during the Troll War between humans, high elves and trolls. Although the people of the Broken Fang refused to join the Horde, they considered it appropriate to conclude a treaty confirming friendship and mutual assistance between them and the Horde. Therefore, Horde players can freely visit their village in the Hinterlands and complete their quests. Although many Broken Fang trolls died at the hands of the blood elves in the Troll War, the current settlers treat the elves in the same way as other members of the Horde.

All this can no longer be said about the Amani Empire. The Zul trolls "Amana, led by the Zul" genie, were simply furious to learn who Thrall had taken as his allies. It is not surprising if you remember that it was the blood elves who left Zul "the genie without an eye and held captive throughout the Second War, where he fought on the side of Orgrimm and his Horde. Zul" the genie swore that he would kill everyone - the Alliance, the Horde - it doesn't matter since both factions annoy him. In the Burning Crusade expansion, players had the opportunity to defeat the Zul "genie in Zul" Aman.

It is impossible not to mention the tribe, which few people know, but even fewer have seen. They are a tribe of the Shatterspear, living in northern Kalimdor and cut off from the rest of the world by mountain ranges. The Piercing Spear lives in a small village (also called the Village of Dancing Trolls) by the lake. Players can only get to them along hidden paths in the mountains from Winterspring and get the opportunity to find themselves at a real voodoo party. They are hostile to the Alliance, but do not attack first. It is very likely that this tribe will play a role already in the Cataclysm. If we take into account that the Village of Dancing Trolls is located next to Lunar Glade and Mount Hyjal, then it is quite possible that this is where the druid trolls will begin their journey, or will simply study here.

Although the Broken Fang and the Shatterspear tribes are friendly towards the Horde, they are still not as friendly as the Darkspear tribe. Even with the trolls currently elevating the Horde's interests over their own, the memory of Zalazane's treacherous betrayal haunts them. Master Gadrin continues to make plans for the return of the Echo Isles to Blackspear. Trolls are the only race of the Horde that still does not have their own capital, and all these 5 years they have been working for the orcs, neglecting their own problems. Now that the Lich King is finished, the Ox Jin apparently decided that it was time to finally take the Echo Isles from Zalazane by force.

Although Gadrin sent many players to finish off Zalazane, and many even succeeded in completing this assignment, bringing the head of Zalazane, all of these trophies were nothing more than fakes. Painted stones, coconuts with wooden tusks embedded in them, sometimes the real heads of trolls that Zalazane enslaved. Ox 'genie is fed up with playing with him and stubbornly sought a way to end the traitor with the help of his new allies and powerful spirits. And even as he was absorbed in working with Thrall, he continued to carefully plan an attack. So he will soon ask the Horde to help him in response to many years of dedicated service to help them find what the trolls have been deprived of since they left the Abandoned Islands - their home.

This is exactly what Ox Jin longs for with all his heart - to provide a home for his people, as his father had predicted for them years ago. Zalazane's betrayal was a spit in the face of the leader of the Darkspear, Sen "Jin's dreams. The return of the Echo Isles will mean that the Horde will receive another major city that will strengthen its strategic positions, and besides this, the covenant of Father Wol "jin will finally come true and a tribute will be paid to his memory. Sen" Jin's legacy is exactly what moves the Wol " gin - and it will never be forgotten.

The Darkspear Tribe is probably the most powerful ally the Orcs have ever had. Unrequitedly loyal to Thrall, the Darkspear trolls were literally transformed in their desire to please the orcs. Abandoned cannibalism and voodoo, two essential ingredients in their lives before joining the Horde. Orcish shamanism was close in spirit to the trolls' ideas about the values \u200b\u200bby which they lived. Add to this Sen "Jin's vision, who foretold the fate of the Darkspear alongside the Horde and Thrall. In addition, the trolls were imbued with deep feelings and respect for the tauren, whose shamanism was also close in spirit to troll magic. And although Thrall's decisions were not always understandable to the Blackspear, faith in him makes the trolls unwaveringly follow the Warchief. The trolls live by conscience, and the oath they made to Thrall will forever remain unbreakable.

Stop...

The Darkspear trolls are one hundred percent loyal to Thrall. For these noble beings, the concepts of "honor" and "oath" are not just words. With the changes coming in Cataclysm, Garrosh will replace Thrall as leader of the Horde. How will this affect Ebon Spear and his role in the ranks of the Horde, since they had little in common with this orc? Will Wol "Jin remain as an advisor, or will he return to his Echo Isles to finally deal with the well-being of his people? How will the trolls react to the fact that the orc, who in Sen" Jin's prediction was to be their protector, has retired ? Perhaps they will withdraw from the Horde in protest or in immense respect for Thrall? There are still many more questions than answers. The upcoming events surrounding the capture of the Echo Isles will surely shed light on a lot.

The Old Dragonslayer is a boss in Dark Souls II.

Description

The ancient dragon slayer is reminiscent of the knights mentioned in the old legends.

Attacks

Dragonslayer's movements are very similar to the attacks of the giant Ornstein (from the first part).

  • Spear lunge.
  • Long lunge with a spear (dash).
  • A close two-hit combo.
  • Jumping upwards, upon landing, gives an AoE.
  • A piercing blow with a spear (not blocked).
  • Melee four-hit combo.
  • Raising the spear upwards, launches a dark sphere at the player.
  • Shoots a spear at the player with dark arrows.

Tactics

  • During the battle, it is advisable to keep behind him, spinning counterclockwise, due to the fact that he is holding a weapon in his right hand, many of his attacks may not hit the player. When he attacks in a jump, when he jumps up and hits the ground (the beginning of the attack can be calculated by how he crouches, and lightning appears on the body), you need to move away from him. A good time to deal damage is after his "lunge" with a spear, the second hit from the combo. Be careful as sometimes after blows that knock down the entire stamina, it gives a combo for full hp. There is also a blow that ignores the block with the shield, it can be determined by the large swing of the spear. The shield is ignored and the boss lifts the character up on the spear, taking off about 500-600 hp.
  • If you have enough strength, you can pick up two clubs, go to the Combat stance and beat the boss while he is in the stanlock.

Notes

  • If you wish, you can bring the Lost Glencourt to the boss, the call sign is in front of the Dragonrider boss.
  • After defeating the boss, you can join the Blue Guard Covenant by speaking with Blue Guard Targrey.
  • Before the boss, you can summon the white NPC phantom of the Lost Glencourt, on the same bridge, at the entrance to the arena with the Dragon Rider, regardless of whether you defeated the rider or not.
  • You can parry.

A group of Danish scientists conducted research and excavations in Alken Enge swamps, where there were earlier settlements of the ancient Germans, as a result of the work, it was established that their tribes cruelly mocked the bodies of their enemies.

Danish archaeologists set off on an expedition to the Alken Enge swamps, the study was aimed at establishing the way of life of the ancient Germans who lived in the swamp area several millennia ago.

During the excavation work, researchers found broken human skulls, as well as pelvic bones worn on sticks. A similar picture provoked the assumption that the ancient Germans could outrage the bodies of their enemies who fell in battle.

Remains in the Alken Enge swamps

Scientists report that six months after the confrontations, the victors in the person of the German soldiers collected the bodies of enemies, cut off the meat from the bones and laid them out in a certain order, then threw them into the lake, while an animal was sacrificed.

The mystery of the massacre in the Alken Enge swamps

Traces of the massacre that took place on the shores of Lake Mosse in Jutland about two thousand years ago have haunted historians for a couple of years. Who and why brought huge armies to this then still very wild and sparsely populated land? Why did thousands of people lay down their heads? Who won the victory? Which people did the soldiers of both armies belong to?

In East Jutland, archaeologists continue excavations at the site where a grandiose and cruel slaughter took place about two thousand years ago. Crushed human skulls and bones, clubs, axes, spears and shields have been preserved in the local swamp - about 200 skeletons of warriors with traces of blows from battle axes, pierced with spears and arrows.

In 2012, for two months, 15 archaeologists dismantled the remains of a large army that died at the turn of our era in the swampy swamps of Alken Enge near Lake Mossø.

"Apparently, there were dramatic events with far-reaching consequences, which should have had a serious impact on society at that time," - quoted the project leader Mads Kähler Holst from the Danish Aarhus University, Science Daily.

When reconstructing the relief of the area, geologists found that two thousand years ago, to the east of Moss, there was a small basin separated from the lake by a strip of land. Over time, the Alken Enge swamp was formed here. Geological exploration also showed that the water level in this area has changed several times. Cartography of the period of alternation of high and low water will help in investigating the establishment of the exact time when the great battle took place.

According to field leader Ejvind Hertz of the Skanderborg Museum, the battlefield, covering some 40 hectares, is so large that it is difficult to expect to be fully excavated any time soon.

In the works of ancient Roman historians, Germanic tribes are mentioned who lived in the territory of modern Denmark. They had animistic religious beliefs, a clan organization, and some laws. The Romans established contacts with these tribes through the Cimbri, who previously inhabited the northern regions of Jutland, and then migrated to the south. To protect against the raids of the warlike tribe of Danes, the Romans had to build defensive ramparts in the south of Jutland.

A guide on how to build buildings in the Broken Shore location in WOW 7.2 - Command Headquarters, Mage Tower and Nether Destroyer. We will tell you what buildings are better to build on the Broken Shore and what benefits each of them gives in WOW Legion.

In the WOW Legion 7.2 patch, a new location has been added to the game - Broken Shore (see the link for a full guide to the location). In it, players can build 3 different buildings: the Tower of Mages, the Headquarters of the Command, and the Void Destroyer.

How to open the construction of buildings

  • Turn in 100 Legionfall Supplies for one of the buildings every day. You can receive Legionfall Compensation for completing these building quests. The surrender of resources for the construction of buildings is the same for the entire server and all factions, but the buildings themselves compete for resources with each other.
  • Completing World Quests on the Broken Shore can earn 100-150 per day. In addition, these resources drop from rare elite monsters in the location.
  • Once built, buildings remain for a limited period of time (3 days), during which players can receive special effects from them by talking to the Commander Chambers.
  • The health (health) of buildings decreases when they are attacked by the Legion. If a building is completely destroyed, it must take 1 day (CD) before players can rebuild it.
  • You must talk to Commander Chambers to receive the buff every time a building is rebuilt. In addition, when a building is rebuilt again, you can get some kind of random buff.

How Broken Shore Buildings Benefit

Mages Tower

This building provides access to the Fel Treasure bonus, thanks to which:

  • Portals will appear in the tower to all locations of the Broken Isles: Stormheim, Azsuna, Highmountain, Suramar and Valshara.
  • Artifact Challenges are unlocked, allowing players to try solo challenges to unlock new artifact skins.
  • Special chests can be found throughout the Broken Shore that contain Void Shards and resources for building buildings.

When the Mages Tower is built, you can talk to the commander to get one of the buffs:

  • Knowledgeable - a chance to get additional Artifact Power in dungeons and raids.
  • Overwhelming Power - the ability to gain additional Artifact Power for World Quests.
  • Respectable - Increases Reputation earned p.
