What is a frame pool made of? How to maximize the service life? Making a frame pool with your own hands Build a frame pool yourself.

In work, you can not do without joining elements. It doesn't matter if the pool is rectangular or round. But in order for the connection to be absolutely tight (and this is the most important), the PVC film must be welded with a special tool that heats and glues the sheets to each other. Although, there is an option to perform docking with glue.

For welding, you need a building hair dryer capable of delivering up to 600-700 degrees. It needs a crevice nozzle. To create a continuous canvas, you need to work on a clean and even surface. If you have a separate room that is not cluttered with foreign objects, then this is just perfect.

You will find out the temperature indicators that are needed for welding on the packaging. There, the manufacturer wrote recommendations for gluing. The next process is:

  • Lay the PVC film, creating an overlap of 20-30 mm.
  • Take a hot air gun and start to heat it up until the product starts to melt a little.
  • Be careful not to overexpose so as not to burn the film.
  • Now that the material has softened, you can press it down firmly with a rubber roller.
  • Control the quality of the docking so that everything is tight. If you have never done such work, then we recommend that you practice on unnecessary segments.
  • After you have created the desired product, you can bend the material along the perimeter from above by 5-7 cm and completely boil it. Metal rings will be installed in this side, thanks to which you can stretch the awning and secure it with cables and ropes. The rings themselves consist of two parts that need to be installed in a punched hole in the made side. These rings are called eyelets. And the check of their fastening is 50 cm. The photo shows how it looks.

    Preparing the base for the pool

    Before installing the frame pool, you need to prepare the surface. Although it is not necessary to dig a pit, however, it is required to remove the fertile soil layer (10-20 cm) and remove the plants. The soil should not contain pebbles and solid protruding particles. But so that nothing grows in the ground, and it is perfectly even, a sand substrate is made. Its layer is 10-15 cm. For this task, beacons from a CD profile are installed and they begin to level the sand, stretching it.

    It turns out a perfectly flat sandy surface. This procedure must be repeated after the frame pool has been installed.

    We build the frame of the pool

    Now it's time to create the frame of your pool. It can be made from a pine beam with a cross section of 100x500 mm, semi-edged or unedged discs with a thickness of 25 mm. You need to pre-clean the wood from bark and knots. Before installation, protect the tree with impregnation and antiseptic.

    Note! If you have the skills of a welder, you can create a structure from metal profiles. You can see an example of such a frame in this photo.

    First you need to mark up, mark the corners and check everything with a tape measure and a level. It is important that the diagonals of the structure are the same. This is a guarantee that the building is even. If there are irregularities, make adjustments. Then, using a drill or a shovel, make a well or pit, about 50 cm deep. If the frame is rectangular, then it is recommended to install two additional racks for the long sides (not counting the corner ones). And on the short side you need one rack.

    Frame installation

    The installation of the pillars is carried out in a straight line. In order not to be mistaken, use a cord and a building level. The bars are installed in a prepared pit, after which it is filled with stones and rubble. Everything is carefully packed.

    Advice! Those parts of the wood that are in the ground should be carefully treated with waterproofing material, especially the ends. For reliability, you can wrap the end in roofing material and bury it in this way.

    After installing the load-bearing bars, they can be connected by tying with boards. A semi-edged board is used for the upper part, fixing it strictly horizontally, 1 m above the ground. The lower trim is made from unedged boards. From the surface of the earth, you can retreat 20-40 mm. The boards should be fixed with black self-tapping screws, 45-50 mm. Since the water will put pressure on the intermediate racks, they must be provided with reliable struts.

    Note! You can sheathe the frame itself not only with boards, but also with slab materials or a beautiful board. This will make the pool not only functional, but also more beautiful, as in this photo.

    Ladder for the frame pool

    This is an integral part of the structure, without which you will need to jump inside. But, not everyone has such acrobatic abilities. You can also buy a ladder. However, if you have left boards, then it is easy to make it yourself. To do this, step back from the corner of the structure 60 cm and install another rack. Two bowstrings of the stairs are made of boards. They need to be fixed in two places: from below to the support platform, and from above, to the racks.

    After that, steps should be made, with a fastening step of 25 cm. The board for the steps should be wide enough. Four steps will be enough to climb to a height of 1 m. The upper step is additionally attached to the pool piping. So you get a platform on the edge of the frame pool. And as for the ladder for the interior, you can buy it. It must be made of stainless steel.

    The final stage is the installation of PVC film on the pool

    Most of the work is almost done. Now the matter is small. You need to level the sand substrate and proceed with the sheathing. The sides must be screwed strictly in a horizontal position. Fasteners are self-tapping screws, 35 mm long and a press washer. And, of course, one cannot do without large washers, which will be larger than the diameter of the eyelets.

    In order for everything to be correct, you need to monitor the good tension of the PVC film, fixing it with self-tapping screws to the frame. Work carefully so as not to accidentally damage the canvas. You may be surprised, but this simple frame pool can be made by yourself in 12 hours, you just need to try hard. And so that you can clearly understand how to build a frame pool, watch this video.

    final chord

    That's it, your frame pool is ready. This is a multifunctional design that will cost you little, but will help you enjoy the summer in cool water. You have the opportunity to improve and modernize the product by introducing pool systems. You can use a fitting to remove water, put a filter inside. The same applies to appearance. As you use it, you can improve it. In addition, the frame can not be dug into the ground, but the structure can be made portable. Here you can already do everything as it will be convenient.

    The construction of swimming pools in their country house has gained immense popularity. Every second family in our country has a suburban area. But not everywhere near the "residence" there is a clean reservoir. For many regions, this is a big problem, because these days there are not many clean water bodies left. But in hot weather, you can’t do without water procedures. Despite the common stereotype about the high cost of such an undertaking, a pool in your yard is not such an unrealizable dream. Especially if you turn your attention to the frame rectangular pool, the construction of which is affordable for many.

    Advantages of frame pools

    A traditional frame pool is a structure that consists of steel elements that act as walls. From above, the constituent parts are covered with a durable film, plastic sides, as well as systems that filter water. Such a design is distinguished by a low price indicator and facilitated assembly and operational processes, which is extremely important for developers who have little financial capacity.

    Changing the water in a frame pool is as easy as shelling pears. It is enough just to attach a flexible hose to the tap, which is located at the bottom. The resulting water can be used to water the garden, lawn or garden. In addition, the pool for summer cottages frame will fit perfectly into any landscape design.

    If the pool is installed with high quality, then you can not worry about dismantling the structure for the winter. The remaining water in it freezes without harming the product. Note that other budget varieties of country pools are not able to withstand such a load. There will be no waybill and transportation of such a design, because the product consists of a film coating and a frame, which can be easily placed in compact boxes.

    What are frame pools

    Frames are the basis of collapsible home pools. That is why these structures are called frame. Such frames are of two types: rod and sheet. The latter is more durable. The core pool has only the upper hoop assembled from metal rods. The bowls of the prefabricated frame pool are made of polyvinyl chloride material.

    Prefabricated pools can be conditionally divided into seasonal and frost-resistant. Those and other models have in common that they are equipped with stairs, in everything else they differ significantly from each other. This can be seen by looking at the photo of the frame pools. It is customary to assemble seasonal-type frame pools in the spring; it will take several days to complete everything. In autumn, the structure can be quickly dismantled. Seasonal pools, as a rule, are equipped, in addition to the stairs, with a cartridge filtration system, two nozzles that are used for intake and discharge of water, as well as hoses.

    Prefabricated frost-resistant pools that have a reinforced edging are also equipped with a sand filtration system, which is used in stationary pools, a skimmer, hoses, water return nozzles. Unlike frost-resistant pools, seasonal-type models do not imply the presence of a sand filter and a skimmer in their design. In addition, you should be prepared that garbage will constantly accumulate at the bottom and on the surface of the water, regardless of the frequency of cleaning. Due to a weak pump, it is often quite difficult to connect a hand-held vacuum cleaner designed to clean the bottom of the pool.

    Choosing a place for the pool

    Before you start building a frame pool, you need to choose a suitable place for the structure. By the way, the frame pool is unpretentious in choosing a place, just to pick up a more or less even surface. And on a site where other stationary pools cannot be installed due to the terrain, the intex collapsible frame pool will find a place for itself calmly.

    Even if your land plot is quite impressive in size, this does not mean that it is worth building a large pool. A large frame pool is associated with certain inconveniences. With huge pools, there will inevitably be difficulties in filling, draining and cleaning it. With a large volume, the strength of the pool is significantly reduced. Before building a frame pool, make sure that the water supply is as close as possible, so it will be more convenient to operate the pool.

    Frame pools can be built not only on the street. Installation is also possible inside any building. The design with equal ease can be placed in a small apartment, and in a large room of a mansion or a country house. It all depends solely on the size of the pool chosen for yourself. But keep in mind that when installing a frame pool in a house, you should dive and swim very carefully, without piercing or cutting objects, because in this case you can damage the pool, which is fraught with consequences. After determining the location of the future frame pool, it is recommended to outline its boundaries using measuring tape, pegs and a cord.

    How to build a frame pool

    It should be noted immediately that the installation of the frame pool does not require special tools and special knowledge. Everything that is at hand will fit! The building is being built very quickly. You can also get unskilled members of your family to work, there will definitely be no harm. In addition to the previous information, let's say that the entire process of installing a frame pool will do without additional installation and construction costs. There is no need to dig a hole or concrete a foundation pit. Therefore, you do not have to involve heavy construction equipment. Collapsible pools are built directly on the ground, without prior preparation.

    Material selection

    A home-made frame pool with a side height of 1 meter on a wooden frame can be made from tent fabric, which has a size of 4.5 by 2 meters. In this case, you will get a decent supply of water heated in the sun - about 8 tons. The basis for the future pool is PVC fabric, from which awnings for trucks, inflatable boats and canopies are made. Such material has significant strength, practically does not stretch and absolutely does not let water through. Awning fabric comes in a variety of colors and different densities.
    It is better to take a gray awning for a frame pool with an average density of 650 g / m2. If one side is smoother, then for ease of maintenance it is more expedient to turn the fabric with a gloss inside the frame pool.

    Seam welding

    Absolute tightness and greater strength of PVC fabric seams can be ensured in only one way - hot air welding, however, there are options for adhesive execution. Let's take a look at the first option. To do this, you need a building hair dryer, which has a working temperature range from 20 to 700 degrees and a crevice nozzle. Work with the canvas is carried out on a flat, clean surface. At your disposal, it is desirable to have a spacious room where the finished product can easily fit. On the floor, which is covered with sheets of chipboard or fiberboard, it will be very convenient to cut and glue the product, and you don’t have to worry that the material will be damaged.

    The welding temperature should be selected according to the recommendations of the material manufacturer. The awning fabric must be laid with an overlap of 20-30 millimeters and heated to light melting with a hot air gun, preventing the PVC film from burning. The softened material must be pressed firmly with a rolling roller with a hard rubber or silicone roller.

    It is necessary to control the quality of the weld, because the tightness of all joints of the future frame pool depends on it. If necessary, you can practice on fabric scraps to work out the temperature, speed of movements and other parameters of the procedure.
    When the product is ready, you should bend the film along the upper perimeter by 50-70 millimeters and boil it. Metal rings are mounted through such a side, which are designed to stretch the product and fasten it with ropes and cables. Rings consist of 2 parts, which are installed through punched holes that correspond to their diameter. Eyelets are mounted after approximately 500 millimeters, using manual flaring or a special press.

    Foundation preparation

    To install a non-buried frame pool with your own hands, it is imperative to remove the top layer of soil and uproot all the plants on the site. The soil must be clean, free of pebbles and solid protruding particles. Next, you need to make a leveling sand cushion, which has a layer of 50 - 100 millimeters. To do this, it is customary to install beacons from a CD-profile according to the level and stretch the sand, getting a flat surface. A similar procedure is repeated after mounting the frame for the future pool.

    Frame erection

    For the construction of the frame, it is recommended to use a pine beam, which has a section of 100 by 50 millimeters, a semi-edged or unedged board with a thickness of 25 millimeters. All lumber should be cleaned of bark and treated with an antiseptic. Dry wood should ideally be used, with "cured" wood as a last resort.

    The first step is to mark the corners of the structure and check the squareness of the frame. Measure the diagonals, they should all be equal. Make adjustments if necessary. Next, with a garden hand drill or a shovel, it is necessary to prepare a well, which has a depth of about 500 millimeters. On the long side, in addition to the corner ones, it is recommended to put two racks. The spans will be approximately 1.4 meters. On the short sides there will be one intermediate rack.

    Frame installation

    Poles should be installed vertically along one line, here you need to use a building level and a cord. Racks must be placed in wells, filling the free space with small gravel or medium-sized pebbles. All this backfill is recommended to be thoroughly tamped. It is customary to carefully cover the parts of the timber that are in the ground with bituminous waterproofing, paying special attention to the ends.

    When you have installed the beam and securely fixed it, you can tie it with a board. The semi-edged board is placed on top strictly horizontally, adhering to a height of about one meter from the ground. The lower strapping can be done with a shalyovka, choosing a height of about 200 - 400 millimeters from the ground. Sew the entire board onto the timber using "black" self-tapping screws, which are 45-50 millimeters long.

    Reliable spacers need intermediate racks, because they will be affected by water pressure. From the top of the pillars with the help of braces from a bar that has a section of 50 by 50 millimeters, form triangles that stabilize the frame. So you can provide stability against the forces that act from the inside of the pool. When the posts are tied, they should be cut. Leave some issues in order to knit auxiliary structures to them in the future: shelter, ladder for the pool, canopy.

    erection of stairs

    At a distance of 600 millimeters from the corner, place an additional rack. Two bowstrings need to be made from unedged boards. They are fastened from below to the support platform, and at the top they should be screwed to the uprights and at the same time supported on the upper trim. Next, you need to mark every 250 millimeters at the level of the step, and install support bars in these places.

    Installation of PVC sheets

    As mentioned above, before installing the frame pool, which was welded from awning fabric, it is necessary to level the sand bedding. The sides of the pool are screwed strictly horizontally. As fasteners, self-tapping screws with a press washer are used, which have a length of 35 millimeters and additional large washers, which are larger in diameter than the holes in the eyelets. It is recommended to stretch the canvas well, pressing it tightly with self-tapping screws. All work must be carried out carefully so as not to damage the PVC sheet. Such a simple pool, if you try hard, can be built by one person in about 12 hours, including welding of the seams.

    Finally

    The result is a multifunctional outdoor pool, which is not too expensive, and which can be improved indefinitely using all modern systems. Of the simple options, you can opt for a water outlet, a shelter, a ladder to exit the frame pool. I would like to remind you that this design is not only prefabricated, but also collapsible, which allows you to change the location of the pool without problems. And the base of the PVC sheet can be dismantled in a few minutes by unscrewing three dozen self-tapping screws used.

    Thus, you have equipped the best frame pool, which is quite easy to maintain. It is because of the ease of installation and maintenance that the design is very popular. It will take only half a day to collect the pool. Installation does not require the involvement of qualified specialists - a family of two or three people will cope with the installation of the frame completely. You will need the simplest tools that are available in any home. In addition, you can easily change the location of your pool at your discretion.

    As practice shows, the most optimal material for building a frame pool with your own hands in the country is larch wood. It should be noted that it is possible to purchase a ready-made frame for the pool, made of a more durable material - plastic. In this case, you can significantly save time that will be required for construction. But if there is a desire to make each structural element on your own, then larch wood is perfect for this. So, it's time to proceed directly to the construction algorithm.

    Important information before starting

    Before proceeding directly to the installation of frame pool structures in the country, you should carefully check the groundwater level in the area intended for construction. Since the self-construction of a frame pool involves the fact that a special hole will be dug for it, the pool can be destroyed by groundwater if all necessary measures are not taken to prevent this process. It is also worth taking a responsible approach to choosing a place, namely, that there is a reservoir near it, from which the pump will pump out water.

    How to build a frame pool with your own hands?

    Step 1
    After the groundwater level has become known, you can safely proceed to digging a hole into which the pool structures will be placed. It is very important to remember the fact that the pit must be larger than the pool already in the finished version, because before it is built, many different materials will be placed in it, which will significantly reduce its size, and subsequently the size of the pool itself. The upper part of the pool, which will be above ground level, should be no more than half a meter. This height is the most optimal and will create the illusion that the pool does not take up much space on the site.

    Step 2
    Before proceeding with the assembly of the frame itself, which will be made of wood, it is necessary to assemble metal supports that will act as the basis for this structure. Thanks to metal supports, the service life of the pool will be much longer, and it will also significantly increase the safety of being in it.

    Step 3
    After installing the foundations, you should proceed to leveling the floor. It's no secret that a flat floor is one of the most important advantages of a homemade pool. First of all, when the floor is even, it is much more pleasant to be in the pool than if it had any irregularities or, even worse, some foreign elements, such as plant roots, stones or other natural debris. There are two stages in the floor leveling process. The first stage is the leveling of the soil itself, that is, the bottom of the pit. Then the flat surface of the earth should be poured with concrete or it can be laid with insulating boards.

    Step 4
    At this stage, it is already possible to start making walls. For laying walls, you can also use various materials, such as wood, as well as more durable ones, such as concrete. It is important to remember that you can start building walls only when the floor of the pool is dry, if concrete was used for pouring.

    Step 5
    When building walls, it is important to remember to insulate the seams and bring the walls to a normal level. That is why this process should be singled out as a separate step.

    Step 6
    Penultimate step. After all the construction work has already been completed, you can safely proceed to the cladding. Here you should already show some creativity and imagination to make the pool as attractive as possible. As a rule, for pools made in this way, tiles are used as a facing material. Its size can be absolutely any, depending on the preferences of the owner. The most important thing in this step is to correctly maintain the distance between the tiles, because it depends on how long it will last. When laying tiles during the process of facing the frame pool in the country, special adhesive materials should be used that will protect the structure from getting wet. Actually, for this, the seams between the tiles are made a little wider in order to occupy most of the surface with waterproof grout.

    Step 7
    Having thoroughly dried the surface of the pool, namely the grout that was used when installing the cladding, you can already install all the necessary equipment, namely pumps, connect water, install a cleaning system, filter and other elements that will bring the building to full readiness. It's no secret that the pump is the heart of the pond. From what pump the pool has, it directly depends on how difficult it will be to fill it. In addition, you need to install it in a place where there is a reservoir nearby, from which you can easily draw water. In addition to the pump, you should also pay special attention to the filter that will be used at the frame pools. Regarding the purchase of a filter, it is best to consult with a specialist who knows exactly which filter to recommend to purchase for a pond in the country.

    List of materials needed for successful construction

    • Frame materials, namely, metal bases and wooden beams. The width of the bars should not exceed 25 millimeters;
    • Waterproofing materials;
    • Tiles and other cladding elements, as well as waterproof tile adhesive;
    • Good water filter, pump and skimmer;
    • Concrete;
    • Ladder, which is used for descent and ascent to the pool;
    • Underwater nozzles;
    • If the frame is ground, then you should pay attention to the fabric with which the reservoir will be covered;
    • Armature elements.

    Above were listed the main materials that will definitely be needed when building a pool in the country. It should also be noted that this list may be slightly modified or supplemented, depending on the type of reservoir construction, its shape and other important factors. In addition, this list does not include additional accessories that are purchased at the discretion of the owners, in accordance with the design and need.

    How to choose a pump and filter for a pool in the country?

    Of course, the pump and filter are two incredibly important elements, which, perhaps, should be highlighted in a separate item. The filters themselves are divided into three types: sand, cartridge and diatomaceous. Based directly on the type of construction, it is worth deciding which filter is suitable for a frame reservoir. The same goes for the pump.

    Construction of a pool in the country from a metal frame

    Above, we talked about how to build a pool using a wooden frame. There is also a metal option. It's time to move on to a detailed consideration of this option.

    As a rule, for such a pool there is no need to dig a hole, since it can be easily erected on the surface of the site. It follows from this that the main preparatory stage will be the leveling of the surface on which construction is planned. After the surface of the earth is made as even as possible, you can proceed directly to the main construction work. First of all, the bottom is installed in the pool. The bottom can be chipboard or fiberboard.

    When the bottom is installed, we begin to attach a metal frame to it. You need to do this with self-tapping screws. When the frame is fixed, we begin to create walls. To do this, you need a special waterproof fabric or awning. Next, we fill the frame pool with water and enjoy a pleasant pastime in it.

    Summing up, we can draw some conclusions. First of all, it is that the construction of a pool in the country will be quite simple if you carefully follow all the steps of the instructions. There are several types of frame pools, and this allows you to choose exactly the one that will be affordable, as well as meet all the preferences of the owners. Next, you should pay special attention to what level the groundwater has. As mentioned above, it is very important to prevent its occurrence after the construction of a reservoir in the country has already been completed. To do this, install a special material that will retain groundwater and not damage the building. As for a surface reservoir, for the walls of which it was necessary to install fabric, groundwater is not a hindrance to such a reservoir, and nothing needs to be measured during its construction. When building a reservoir in the country, special attention should also be paid to the fact that it is very important to install a water filter. This is due to the fact that if there is a water filter in the reservoir, then this can protect everyone who uses it from unwanted elements that can ruin the whole bathing process.

    An interesting fact is that they can be given absolutely any shape, thereby making your pool a little more unusual and interesting.

    Having a swimming pool in your backyard is a pipe dream for many. Everything depends on serious financial costs, and this is not surprising, because the construction of the pool is a very time-consuming and high-tech business. The issue price is often measured in several thousand USD. However, there is one option that many will be able to afford.

    It will be a completely self-made pool made of tent fabric measuring 4.5x2 meters and a side height of about 1 meter, assembled on a wooden frame. It is assembled on site in one day by one person. The work is planned to be creative, exceptionally constructive and very interesting.

    The cost of all materials will be about 5-6 thousand rubles. Well, is it really possible for such and such money to deny yourself the pleasure of basking in cool clean water every day, when there is an exhausting summer heat outside, from which there is nowhere else to hide. And how happy the kids will be ...

    In addition, this is a decent supply of sun-warmed water, and this is about 8 tons. I'll tell you a secret, the pool was conceived as a container for watering the garden.

    We cook PVC

    The basis for our pool will be PVC fabric, it is used to make awnings for trucks, canopies, inflatable boats, etc. Such material has a very serious strength, almost does not stretch and does not let water through at all. There are many companies that offer awning fabric in a variety of colors and densities, you can also purchase all the necessary accessories from them and even order the production of a finished container according to your size.

    In our case, a Belgian-made gray canvas 2.5 meters wide, with an average specific gravity of 650 g / m 2, will be used. Please note that if the fabric has one of the sides is whiter than smooth, then for ease of maintenance it is advisable to turn it glossy inside the pool.

    Absolute tightness and the highest strength of the seams can only be obtained by hot air welding, although there are options for adhesive execution. To do this, we need a special building hair dryer with a working temperature range from 20 to 700 degrees and a crevice nozzle

    Soldering iron for PVC

    Work with PVC-cloth must be done on a flat, clean surface. It is desirable to have at your disposal a spacious room in which the finished product can easily fit. On the floor, covered with sheets of fiberboard or chipboard, it is convenient to cut and glue our container without fear of damaging the material.

    Need a place to work

    The working temperature of welding is selected in accordance with the recommendations of the blade manufacturer. We lay the awning fabric with an overlap of 20-30 mm and heat it up with a hot air gun until it melts easily, avoiding burning. The softened material is pressed tightly by a rolling roller with a hard silicone or rubber roller.

    It is necessary to carefully monitor the quality of the weld, the tightness of all joints will depend on it. If necessary, you can practice on film cuts - work out the speed of movements, temperature and other work parameters.

    When the “trough” is ready, the film is folded along the upper perimeter by 50-70 mm and boiled. Metal rings (grommets) are mounted through this side, designed to stretch and fasten products by means of cables and ropes. The rings consist of two parts, which are installed through pre-punched holes, corresponding in diameter. Eyelets are mounted after about 500 mm using manual flaring or a special press.

    Preparing the foundation

    To install a non-buried frame pool, you will need a perfectly even, stable base, so it is better to choose the appropriate place to avoid time-consuming earthworks, large-scale ground planning.

    It is imperative to remove the top layer of soil and uproot all the plants in a certain area. The soil must be clean, without solid protruding particles, pebbles and other things.

    We are preparing the site

    Next, we make a leveling sand cushion with a layer of 50 to 100 mm. To do this, we set the beacons from the CD-profile according to the level and stretch the sand as a rule, obtaining a perfectly flat surface. This procedure will have to be repeated after mounting the frame.

    sand cushion

    Assembling the frame

    For the construction of the frame, we will use a pine beam with a section of 100x50 mm, an unedged and semi-edged board with a thickness of 25 mm. All lumber must be cleaned of bark and treated with an antiseptic. Ideally, you need to use dry wood, in extreme cases, “dried”, that is, dried.

    First of all, we mark the corners of the structure, be sure to check the squareness of the frame. To do this, measure the diagonals - they must be equal. We make adjustments if necessary.

    Next, with a shovel or garden hand drill, we prepare wells about 500 mm deep. On the long side we will put two racks except for the corner ones, the spans are approximately 1.4 m. There will be one intermediate rack on the short sides.

    The poles are installed strictly vertically along one line, here the cord and the building level will be indispensable. Racks are placed in wells, after which the free space is filled with small or medium gravel. All this backfill is thoroughly rammed.

    Parts of the timber that will be in the ground must be carefully covered with bituminous waterproofing, especially the ends.

    Rack waterproofing

    When the beam is installed and securely fixed, you can tie them with a board. On top, at a height of about a meter from the ground, a semi-edged board is placed strictly horizontally. The lower strapping of the fence can be done with a shalyovka, the height is taken approximately 200 - 400 mm from the ground. The whole board is sewn onto the beam through the body using "black" self-tapping screws 45-50 mm long.

    Top harness

    Intermediate racks need reliable struts, as they will be under the pressure of a large amount of water. To do this, triangles are formed from the top of these pillars with the help of braces from a bar with a section of 50x50 mm, stabilizing the frame. In this way, resistance against forces acting from within is ensured.

    Stabilizing struts

    When the racks are tied, you can cut them. It makes sense to leave releases of a certain size, then in the future it will be convenient to knit auxiliary structures for them: a canopy, a shelter, or, for example, a ladder.

    Making a ladder

    At a distance of 600 mm from the corner we put an additional rack. We make two bowstrings from an unedged board, which are attached to the support platform from below, and are screwed to the uprights at the top and at the same time rest on the upper harness.

    Bowstring fastening

    Every 250 mm we mark the location of the steps and mount the support bars in these places.

    We cut the treads from a wide shalyovka and set them in their places. In total, four steps are obtained, and the upper one is also attached to the harness, forming a platform at the very edge of the pool.

    Installing PVC sheet

    Before installing the product welded from awning fabric, it is again necessary to level the sand bed.

    Now we fasten the sides of our pool strictly horizontally. As fasteners, we use self-tapping screws with a press washer 35 mm long and additional large washers in diameter larger than the holes in the eyelets. All of these fasteners must be galvanized.

    fasteners

    The canvas must be very well stretched and pressed tightly with self-tapping screws. All these works should be done very carefully so as not to damage the PVC fabric.

    We stretch the canvas

    Conclusion

    Such a simple pool is built by one person in 12 hours, including PVC welding.

    Here's what happened

    Its cost is more than democratic:

    As a result, we got a multifunctional inexpensive outdoor pool, which can be improved indefinitely, using all the modern devices and systems inherent in the professional construction of facilities for this purpose. Of the simple useful options, one can name a fitting for draining water, a shelter, a ladder to exit the pool.

    It should be noted that our design is not only prefabricated, but also collapsible, which makes it possible to change its location without any problems. And the PVC base can be easily dismantled in a few minutes by unscrewing three dozen self-tapping screws and put away for winter storage.

    Who doesn't dream of their own pool, where you can take a dip in the heat or relax after a hard day? Surely no one will refuse such a prospect. Especially when you consider that it can be implemented even with your own hands without large investments. For example, by building a frame pool - numerous reviews from the owners of such water bodies prove that their installation does not cause any particular difficulties. Do you want to see this for yourself and finally get your own mini-pond? Then we offer you step-by-step instructions with detailed photos and videos of mounting a frame pool - they will become faithful assistants in making your dream come true.

    Stage 1: Choose a place and prepare the tools

    Let's start by choosing a location for the pool. Frame models are absolutely unpretentious to the terrain, so it is quite enough for them to find a more or less even surface without active drops and bumps. But keep in mind that the pool should be located close to: a power source - in order to connect pumping and filtering equipment without any problems; a source of water - to fill the bowl; sewers - to discharge waste water. Next, stock up on the necessary tools and materials:

    • awning with a density of at least 650 g/m. kv;
    • bars with a section of 5x5 cm and 5x10 cm;
    • edged boards 2.5 cm thick;
    • building hair dryer with crevice nozzle;
    • screwdriver and a set of galvanized screws;
    • metal eyelets;

    After choosing a place on the site, markup

    • pump and filter with a complete set: hoses, nozzles, plugs, couplings, etc.;
    • bituminous mastic;
    • sand;
    • crushed stone;
    • cement;
    • building level;
    • polyethylene film;
    • fine plastic mesh;
    • antiseptic.

    Advice. The amount of materials is determined by the dimensions of the future pool, so it is recommended that even before you go shopping, make an approximate sketch of the structure, indicating the dimensions of all its elements.

    Stage 2: We equip the base

    The frame pool can be installed both on ordinary soil and on a light foundation - depending on the features of the relief of your site and the dimensions of the future structure. Let's consider both options.

    If there is a relatively flat area on your site, and the pool itself is thought to be small - about 6-12 cubic meters in volume, then you can do without a foundation. First, remove the top layer of the earth and remove all plants, pebbles and branches from the working area, and then pour a sand cushion 5 to 10 cm high onto the site - the base is ready.

    Foundation arrangement

    If your site cannot boast of either a flat terrain or good soil, and you are planning to build a pool on it with a volume of more than 12 cubic meters, a light foundation is required. Rest assured, its installation will not cause difficulties. So, first remove the top layer of soil - no more than 50 cm deep. Then pour a layer of sand up to 10 cm and a layer of crushed stone 5 cm. Then cover the resulting pillow with plastic wrap. Next, prepare the cement mortar and pour the first layer of the mixture - no more than 5 cm. Lay a plastic mesh on top and pour another layer of cement - also no more than 5 cm. When the foundation dries, the base can be considered ready.

    Stage 3: Building the frame

    The equator of construction works is the construction of the frame of the future pool. The construction technology is as follows:

    • Prepare the bars and edged boards and treat them with antiseptic impregnation. The first will play the role of supporting and intermediate pillars, and the second - strapping.
    • At the corners of the working platform, as well as on each side of the future frame, dig holes up to 50 cm deep.
    • The base of the bars - 50 cm in height - treat with bituminous mastic - this part will subsequently be dug into the ground, so it must be carefully protected from moisture. Pay special attention to the ends of the products.

    Creating support pillars

    • Install support pillars in the corner pits - bars with a section of 5x10 cm. Adjust them according to the plumb line, check the diagonals and, after finishing leveling, strengthen them in the ground - fill the pits with a mixture of sand and gravel and carefully tamp. Similarly, install intermediate posts - bars with a section of 5x5 cm - into the holes on each side of the frame.
    • Perform the side strapping of the pillars: alternately, using self-tapping screws, attach the edged boards in a horizontal position to the pillars. The number of rows of boards directly depends on the planned parameters of the pool. Do not forget to leave holes for the pump-filter system: inlet, outlet and drain.

    Advice. Fasten from the inside of the frame - this will reduce the load on the screws.

    • Strengthen the intermediate posts with special braces: install bars with a section of 5x5 cm from their outer side, maintaining a slope of at least 30 degrees.

    Stage 4: We mount the awning canvas

    Before attaching the awnings to the frame, they need to be unrolled and sewn into a single structure so that the pool is as tight as possible:

    • Lay the fabric on a flat surface and cut the base according to the parameters of your frame.

    Advice. Be sure to leave small allowances for welding seams: along the perimeter of the upper part - 10 cm, along the inner seams - 4 cm.

    • Using a building hair dryer, weld the awning elements together, observing the appropriate overlaps: first, weld the walls, then the bottom, and then connect the parts together.
    • Bend the upper edges of the base by 8-10 cm and boil them with a hairdryer. When the seam has cooled, punch holes in the upper part of the walls and install eyelets in them. The average step is 50 cm.

    Take measurements and cut the canvas

    After that, place the base inside the frame and carefully straighten it. Through the eyelets, using self-tapping screws and wide washers, fix the awning base along the edge of the frame. Then equip the top of the pool with wooden boards coated with a protective varnish.

    For ease of use of the pool, mount the ladder - it can be fixed on additional support bars and racks.

    Stage 5: Install the pump and sand filter for the pool with your own hands

    Now you need to take care of the functionality of the pool - install pumping and filtering equipment. It is better to buy it already fully equipped, so that in the future there will be no problems with the absence of one or another element. Installation is carried out according to the following scheme:

    • In pre-prepared holes, install the nozzle (supply hole) and the bottom outlet (exhaust).
    • Insert the nozzles under the hose into the pump outlet, nozzle, bottom outlet and all filter inlets / outlets.
    • Pour quartz sand into the filter tank - make sure that it does not get into the central pipe of the unit. Install the valve on the barrel through the gasket and clamp it. Connect a pressure sensor to the valve itself.
    • Connect with clamps: the bottom outlet of the pool with the suction hose of the filtering unit, the nozzle - with the return hose, and the pump outlet - with the pressure hose. From the outside, secure the hoses with special plastic couplings.
    • Take one hose from the filter and the pump to the sewer.
    • Connect the pump to the power supply system.

    When everything is ready, test the pool

    At the same stage, a drain is arranged: take the pipe from the corresponding hole to the sewer. Then fill the pool with water and check the operation of all systems, including the filter and pump.

    As you can see, the frame pool is an excellent alternative to capital water facilities. Its arrangement will not require much time, effort and money - you can do everything yourself, using familiar tools and materials.
