What does the tincture treat. Preparation and use of vodka tinctures

The history of phytotherapy has more than one millennium. Medicinal properties of plants for various diseases were used in the ancient civilizations of the Sumerians, Egyptians, Chinese, etc. However, folk medicine received a scientific basis only in Ancient Rome. His famous doctors were the first to make a scientific description of the medicinal properties of plants, made recipes for drugs that can be used in the treatment of certain diseases. They were the first to invent such dosage forms as extract and tincture. A great contribution to ancient Greek medicine and pharmacopoeia was made by Claudius Galen, who developed the technology for obtaining these dosage forms, as well as ointments, powders, preparations, pills and plasters.

Since that time, tinctures have been widely used in formal and alternative medicine. They are made from medicinal plants and alcohol and have a number of advantages. The most important, perhaps, is that, in comparison with other dosage forms (infusions, decoctions, juices), they are stored longer and during all this time retain all their medicinal properties. In addition, alcohol and vodka are strong solvents and draw out those substances that are not released into water (for example, essential oils), and the tinctures obtained from them are practically free of side effects, have the most powerful effect, therefore, they are taken inside in small doses.

This publication contains recipes for alcoholic tinctures from medicinal plants used in the treatment of various diseases, which are quite simple to prepare at home.

1 Making tinctures at home

When preparing tinctures at home, there are some rules, following which will preserve the medicinal properties of plants. To do this, first of all, you should correctly collect and dry the medicinal raw materials, and only then proceed directly to the preparation of tinctures.

Collection, preparation and drying of raw materials

The procurement of medicinal raw materials (roots, stems, leaves, fruits, bark, buds, flowers) begins at a time when it contains the maximum amount of nutrients. So, for example, the aboveground parts of plants are recommended to be collected in the period from the beginning of flowering to the ripening of fruits, underground - at the end of the growing season, when they have accumulated a supply of nutrients.

Plants will retain their beneficial properties only if they are collected and prepared according to all the rules.

The collection of aboveground parts (stems, leaves, buds, bark, flowers, fruits, seeds) of plants is carried out in good clear weather, since raw materials moist from dew or rain are difficult to dry.

The bark is harvested in April-May, during the period of intensive sap flow, when it easily exfoliates. The maximum amount of active nutrients is contained in the young bark, so it is harvested from 1-2-year-old branches or seedlings. Old, cracked, as well as moss and lichen-covered bark is not suitable for collection, since it is poor in nutrients. On the trunk with a sharp knife, first, annular cuts are made to the wood at a distance of 20–30 cm from each other, then 1–3 longitudinal cuts between the rings. The bark is slightly peeled off and left to dry for 1-2 days. After that, the bark is collected, dried, and crushed.

If harvesting is carried out in forestry, it is advisable to first find out on which trees you can cut the bark. In other cases, it can only be harvested from 1–2 branches, so as not to destroy the tree.

The buds are harvested around March-April, after swelling, but before blooming. Large buds can be carefully cut with a sharp knife directly from the branches. If the buds are small, then the branches are first cut, slightly dried, and then threshed.

Leaves are harvested shortly before or during the flowering period, except for those species in which leaves appear only after flowering ends. The leaves are carefully cut (especially from the stems so as not to damage the plant) with a sharp knife, thick juicy petioles are removed, which practically do not contain useful substances. Nettle leaves can be picked with gloves or by first mowing the grass and keeping it for about 1–2 days, after which the aerial parts will lose their pungency.

Flowers (corollas and petals) are harvested during the budding period or at the beginning of their blooming. The inflorescences-baskets are harvested at a time when the marginal petals are located horizontally, and if they are not there, at the time of the blooming of the marginal tubular flowers. The exception is arnica, the flowers of which are harvested before the edge petals take a horizontal position. The pedicels of the collected flowers are removed and folded, without compaction, into prepared baskets.

Grass (leafy and flowering stems and shoots, sometimes together with flowers), herbaceous and semi-shrub plants are harvested at the beginning of flowering, cutting off with a sharp knife at the level of the lower leaves. In species with woody stems (wormwood, sweet clover, etc.), they are discarded, harvesting only leaves and flowering tops.

Medicinal raw materials have a certain shelf life, then they lose their medicinal properties.

Fruits and seeds are harvested when they are fully ripe, early in the morning or late in the evening in wet weather. Juicy fruits are removed carefully so as not to damage, and immediately sent to drying, before they have time to cake. In no case should spoiled or unripe fruits be used.

The underground parts (roots, rhizomes, rhizomes with undivided roots, tubers) of plants can be harvested in any weather, since they must be washed before drying. Roots are harvested in the fall: in annuals at the end of the growing season, in biennials - in the fall of the second year, in perennials - in the fall of the second or third year. The exception is two-leaved lyubka, the tubers of which are harvested in July. The underground parts of plants can also be harvested in early spring, before the start of the growing season.

Roots, rhizomes and tubers are carefully removed from the soil with a shovel or pitchfork, shaken off, cleaned of large lumps of dirt and washed in cold running water. The underground parts of plants, which contain saponins and mucous substances (male fern, some orchids, burdock, cyanosis, etc.) are not washed, but cleaned with a stiff brush and carefully peeled off the upper skin. True, in some cases (if the roots are heavily contaminated) they are still washed, but very quickly, otherwise the raw material may lose saponins, swell and darken.

When harvesting, underground raw materials should be collected so that a certain amount of plants remains for resumption of planting.

Collected and cleaned of impurities, rotten and brownish parts, the raw material is crushed, seeds, buds and fruits are sieved to remove dust and debris. Then it is placed in an even thin layer on prepared trays and dried in a darkened and well-ventilated room (in the attic or under a canopy). Do not dry in direct sunlight, especially flowers, grass, leaves and rhizomes.

The buds are placed in a thin layer on trays and mixed periodically during drying. Dried outdoors under a canopy or in a cool, well-ventilated area, as they can begin to bloom when warm.

The bark is placed in a single layer on a tray and dried in a well-ventilated area or outdoors. Correctly dried bark becomes brittle.

Leaves are placed on a tray in 2-3 layers and dried in a well-ventilated area, periodically turning over. Properly and completely dried grass becomes brittle. After that, it is left in the fresh air for a few more days so that it absorbs moisture from the air and does not crumble when packed.

Depending on the main components, alcoholic herbal tinctures can be stored for up to 3-4 years or more.

Flowers are placed on the tray in a thin layer so as not to turn over; complex inflorescences-baskets from time to time should be agitated for even drying.

Roots, rhizomes and tubers are dried in the shade in a well-ventilated area. Large and thick underground parts of plants are pre-cut lengthwise into several parts, and long ones are also cut across, so that they dry out faster. Properly dried roots become brittle.

Plants rich in essential oils (mint, lemon balm, jasmine, oregano, thyme, etc.) are placed on the tray in a thick layer and dried slowly at a temperature of 25-30 ° C, due to which the concentration of essential oil in them increases.

It is necessary to quickly dry plants containing glycosides and alkaloids (foxglove leaves, dope, henbane, centaury, lily of the valley, motherwort, etc.) and vitamin-containing species (rose hips, strawberries, primrose leaves, etc.), since these substances quickly evaporate and break down ... The former are dried at 50–60 ° C, the latter at 70–90 ° C, and if essential oils (black currant fruits) are contained together with vitamins, at 50–60 ° C.

Finished raw materials are packed in paper or cardboard bags, but it is best to use glass or metal containers with a tight-fitting lid. Store raw materials in a well-ventilated, dark, dry and clean room. Strong-smelling substances (kerosene, naphthalene, etc.) must not be stored in this room, since the raw material easily absorbs extraneous odors.

It should be remembered that poisonous medicinal plants should be harvested with special gloves, not put to dry together with other plants.

Poisonous and odorous plants are stored separately from the rest.

The shelf life of raw materials is different: on average, flowers, leaves and grass are stored for no more than 1–2 years, underground parts of the plant - 3–5 years, and the expiration date of lymphocytes is unlimited.

Preparation of tinctures

For the preparation of the tincture, medicinal raw materials and 40–70% ethyl alcohol or vodka are used. The raw materials are pre-crushed so that the nutrients are completely extracted. If several plants are used to prepare the tincture, then each is crushed separately, and only then mixed in the desired proportion. The infusion is best prepared in a glass container (bottle, bottle, jar, etc.) with a tight-fitting stopper.

A teaspoon contains about 5 g of dry crushed raw materials, in a dessert one - 10 g, in a dining room without a top - 15 g, in a dining room with a top - 20 g.

A mixture of crushed medicinal raw materials is poured with 70% ethyl alcohol or vodka in a ratio of 1: 5 or 1: 10. Insist at room temperature for 7-10 days, periodically shaking the bottle.

The finished tincture is defended for another 3-4 days at a temperature not exceeding 8 ° C, then filtered through several layers of gauze or cotton cloth.

Correctly prepared tincture should be transparent, have the smell and taste of the plant from which it was prepared. Store tinctures in glass containers, preferably dark glass, in a cool, dark place for several years.

I immediately want to bypass it. Still, this mushroom is terribly poisonous! It is strictly forbidden to eat it, otherwise you can go straight to the next world. But here's what is surprising: fly agaric tincture, prepared according to old folk recipes, is capable of treating many diseases.

Apparently, a handsome mushroom in a red polka-dot hat is not as bad as people think of it. In this article we will understand what properties of fly agarics help them to heal people, for what diseases can be treated with tincture of these mushrooms, and, of course, here will be given recipes for making this drug and rules for its safe use.

Fly agaric properties

Traditional medicine has been using poisonous mushrooms for a long time, they are also used in homeopathy. Surprising is the fact that the chemical composition of these mushrooms is still not fully known, although scientists from countries such as Switzerland, Japan and England worked on its study. Today it is known for certain that the pulp of the fly agaric contains the strongest poisonous alkaloids: muscaridine, muscarine, muscimol. It also contains ibotenic acid and the pigment muscarufin, which gives this forest inhabitant its bright orange-red color and has antitumor and antibiotic effects. Perhaps, thanks to these substances, fly agaric tincture can be treated, the use of which in folk medicine is very wide.

Amanita muscaria has intoxicating and narcotic properties. There are legends that tell how the warriors of some countries before the battle drank the infusion of this mushroom, and it repeatedly multiplied their strength and brought them into a combat aggressive state. It is known that shamans use a potion from fly agarics before rituals, due to which their consciousness changes, a surge of physical and mental strength comes.

What diseases can be treated with fly agaric tincture?

This medicine promotes wound healing, stops purulent processes on the skin, can relieve inflammation of the joints and pain in them, is used for sciatica. In case of acute toothache, fly agaric tincture is dripped onto a cotton swab, which is then applied to a sore tooth - the painful sensations go away, as if by magic. If a person suffers from a migraine, then with such an elixir you just need to rub the temples. The old drug also helps in the treatment of herpes.

Summing up the medical qualities of the miracle mushroom and based on data from numerous sources, we can conclude that the tincture from it is shown to be used for the following pathologies and conditions:

  • epilepsy, convulsions, paralysis;
  • tuberculosis;
  • oncological diseases;
  • severe menopause and painful menstruation;
  • various skin diseases, including neurodermatitis, diathesis, eczema, external tumors, etc .;
  • some eye diseases;
  • rheumatism, sciatica, sciatica;
  • loss of strength and frequent headaches;
  • diseases of the cardiovascular system, such as sclerosis, arrhythmia, angioedema of the extremities;
  • mental fatigue.

In most cases, fly agaric tincture is used as an external agent in the form of rubbing, compresses and bandages. But there are diseases when it has to be taken orally, such as cancer.

1. You need to take freshly picked mushrooms cleaned of leaves and debris and put them tightly in a glass jar, which then needs to be tied in a plastic bag. The container is buried in the ground for 35 days, after which it must be dug up, the contents are filtered and mixed with alcohol. The result is an excellent fly agaric tincture with alcohol.

2. Fresh fungi are finely crumbled and poured into glass containers. The vessel is closed with an airtight lid and placed in a dark place for a month. After the specified period, the mushrooms are thrown out of the jar, and the extract they have isolated is used for medicinal purposes. This is perhaps the only recipe in which neither alcohol nor vodka is used, but this does not make it worse.

3. Here's another way to make a fly agaric tincture: the mushroom caps are cut into large pieces and put in a jar, alcohol is poured into the same place, all in a one-to-one ratio. The mixture is kept in the dark for 40 days. After filtration, it will be ready for use.

4. Squeeze juice from recently collected mushrooms, strain it through cheesecloth folded in several layers, and pour into a glass jar. Add the same amount of alcohol there.

Recipe: fly agaric tincture with vodka

Chop the mushrooms well and put in a cold place for 3 days. After that, the mushroom gruel must be transferred to a glass jar (not to the top), filled with vodka (it should cover the fly agarics by about 1 cm). Close the container and put in a dark place for 2 weeks.

Cancer treatment

Attention: fly agaric tincture against cancer can be used as a treatment only if the disease cannot be dealt with by any other means! In such a difficult case, it is taken in the morning on an empty stomach, half a teaspoon one hour before breakfast. How long it will take to continue treatment is impossible to predict in advance, everything is purely individual, but the medicine must be taken until the acute symptoms of the disease disappear.

Amanita tincture against cancer is toxic - one should not forget this. And therefore it is necessary to alternate 7 days of drug intake with weekly breaks. In addition, it is recommended to take activated charcoal or some other adsorbents during treatment. The patient's condition must be monitored carefully, and if there is a deterioration, then the drug should be stopped immediately. It is believed to be suitable for the treatment of leukemia, brain and stomach cancer.

Joint treatment

Important: fly agaric tincture for joints should not come into contact with mucous membranes or open wounds! The joints are treated mainly with compresses and rubbing. Fly agaric tincture is good for such a serious disease as rheumatoid arthritis, when no other medicine can relieve severe pain.

To treat arthritis, you need to properly wet a cotton or linen cloth with a medical solution, apply a compress to the sore joint, cover everything with polyethylene film and wrap it with bandages. The dressing is kept for one hour, after which it is removed and the skin is wiped with soap and water. The procedure is done once a day, and the entire course should not last more than 5 days. Most often, the pain goes away much earlier.

Treatment of osteochondrosis

Amanita tincture for joints can also help with osteochondrosis. The agent should be rubbed into those places where the most severe pain is felt. The best time to do this is after a hot bath. Experience shows that the use of fly agaric rub quickly relieves pain and lasts a very long time.

Signs of poisoning

It is necessary to take into account the fact that fly agarics are poisonous mushrooms, and if the dosage is violated, a person can easily be poisoned with a drug from them. With intoxication, the patient has the following symptoms:

  • nausea and vomiting;
  • acute diarrhea;
  • stomach ache;
  • heavy sweating;
  • salivation;
  • cyanosis (bluish color of mucous membranes and skin);
  • dyspnea;
  • constriction of the pupils;
  • hallucinations and delusions;
  • convulsions;
  • loss of consciousness.

In this case, you need to call an ambulance, and while she arrives, you need to take a number of measures to alleviate the patient's condition.

Help with poisoning

What to do if the fly agaric tincture (due to an overdose or for some other reason) did not help, but caused poisoning?

1. It is necessary to force the patient to drink half a liter of water, thrust fingers deep into his mouth, press on the root of the tongue and induce vomiting. The procedure must be repeated as many times as necessary to completely empty the stomach of food. You need to stop only after one clean water comes out.

2. The patient must take a special saline laxative, for the preparation of which 30 g of magnesium sulfate is dissolved in half a glass of water.

3. If there is no laxative at hand, you need to give the person an enema from a glass of warm water. To enhance the effect, it is advisable to put 1 teaspoon of fine shavings from baby or laundry soap into the water.

4. Give the patient a drink of belladonna tincture (15 drops) or Zelenin (30 drops), or 2 tablets of any preparations containing belladonna (medicines Besalol, Bekarbon, Bellalgin, Belloid, Bellataminal).

Doctors should provide further assistance.

This is a difficult question - what does propolis treat? Propolis heals everything! It helps the body to restore its functions.
You tell me that it doesn't work like that? I was also very skeptical about propolis as a general natural healer. But it's true. Read the article about and you will understand why it has such versatility.

As I wrote in previous articles, propolis is a concentrated immunity of many plants. And the plant glue, from which the bees create propolis, is a system developed for centuries to protect plant buds from various external adverse conditions.

We humans live in the same ecological system as plants. Protective substances of plant immunity do not cause rejection in our organisms, on the contrary, they help in strengthening our defense system and in its restoration if immunity is weakened or lowered.

Today you will find out for what diseases of the body to take this or that form of bee glue:

  • alcohol tincture
  • aqueous extract
  • propolis oil
  • propolis ointment
  • just chew the pieces of propolis

In case of oncological diseases in the initial stage... The essence of the action of a bee product is that it has strong antioxidant properties, it is also called an antioxidant bomb. Propolis stops the rapid development of cancer cells.

The following recipe is used:

Any inflammation of the airways... We use the antimicrobial properties of the bond, namely, the inhibin substance, which is included in the product and gives the bee putty the antibiotic properties. How to apply:

- we do every hour rinsing the throat with a water-alcohol solution (the dosage is described above)
- inhalation with an alcoholic solution of propolis and a decoction of medicinal herbs (for 100 grams of decoction - 1 teaspoon of tincture)
- when coughing - in 100 grams of warm milk add 1 teaspoon of propolis, a piece of butter and drink at night
- we use propolis inside, as described in the figure

With otitis media we use gauze turundas in the ear canal or instill drops.

Diseases of the gastrointestinal tract: gastritis, ulcers

Apply three times a day, a teaspoon of alcoholic tincture in a glass of milk (10% propolis solution). After a month, increase the concentration of the bee product from 10% solution to 20%.

We use it for another month. Then we take a break for two weeks and we can continue again. If you don't like milk, replace it with a glass of water. All the salt of the method is in the formation of a protective film on the gastrointestinal mucosa, which reduces pain from irritation with acidic juice, improves frictions (contractions, motility) of the intestine.

To increase immunity, increase the body's resistance, we drink propolis prophylactically at night for the entire period of the flu epidemic. During operations (both before and after) for quick healing of incisions without scarring.

For gynecological diseases tampons moistened with 20% bee glue tincture are introduced vaginally - for erosion of the uterus, in 35% tincture - for fungal diseases.
In parallel, you can apply 10% propolis tincture inside.

When treating the pancreas drip 15 drops into half a cup of water or warm milk and drink overnight. After a week's course, the work of the pancreas is normalized. We take a 7-day break and continue another weekly course to consolidate the result. The mucous membrane of the gland is gradually regenerated, its inflammation passes. If you have acute pancreatitis, then alcohol tincture is undesirable.

Propolis tincture. Application for children

The use of alcohol tincture of propolis for children is a rather controversial issue. It is considered by doctors that alcohol-containing products are undesirable for children. It follows that alcoholic tincture of bee glue can only be taken externally: gargle, do inhalations, lotions, lubrication and rubbing.

At the same time, almost all beekeepers treat their children and grandchildren with alcoholic tincture, but rather diluted. We take exactly as many drops of propolis as the child is years old, drip into half a glass of warm water or milk and give the child a drink. True, there are diseases when alcohol tincture is categorically unacceptable: acute pancreatitis.
In this case, we use an aqueous extract of the bee product.

Propolis for alcohol - contraindications

  1. Personal intolerance is precisely alcohol tincture (so it was with me). But then we start with one drop and gradually, every day, increase it by a drop and bring it to 20 drops. Also, gradually reduce the amount back to 1 drop. My intolerance is gone. We listen to the body and act without fanaticism!
  2. Alcohol tincture is prohibited for pregnant women and lactating breast milk, as well as other alcohol-containing drugs. It is recommended to use an aqueous solution, it is less likely to cause allergies
  3. Diseases for which alcohol tinctures are prohibited (acute pancreatitis) due to the content of ethyl alcohol

Today we covered the topic:

propolis that heals and subtopic - that treats his alcoholic tincture.

In further articles we will consider what propolis heals with water, with milk and for what diseases it is better to use oil tinctures bonds... But it will be a little later - I want to tell you what kind of anti-cold bomb I have prepared and now I drink with tea. The cold season is in full swing and I think this material will come in handy for you, especially since it is done quickly.
