Small flat products include: overhead letters up to 500 mm high, wreaths up to 500 mm in diameter, ventilation grilles up to 0.5 m2 in area, coats of arms up to 500 mm high, garlands up to 750 mm long (along the bend), cartouches with a maximum dimension up to 500 mm , sheets up to 750 mm long, mask-locks up to 500 mm high, linear products (smooth - the sum of height and offset, embossed - height, convex - height along the bend) up to 500 mm, rosettes (round - diameter, elliptical - half the sum of the main axes , rhombic - half the sum of diagonals) up to 500 mm, triglyphs up to 750 mm high, round emblems up to 500 mm in diameter, portal emblems up to 0.5 m2.

1. What is the name of your profession (position)?

My profession is called a sculptor.

2. What is your job and what are your responsibilities?

I am engaged in the manufacture of stucco decoration by casting into molds or by broaching. Stucco decor is widely used in the decoration of apartments, offices, cafes, restaurants, hotel complexes.

These are bas-reliefs, and columns, and ceiling rosettes, and balusters, and cornices, and consoles, and other architectural extravagances. It should be noted that stucco never goes out of fashion, products change over time, but always enjoy popularity.

The casting method is that the gypsum mortar is poured into soft silicone or polyurethane molds, then it is shaken and after 15-20 minutes the finished product is removed. The broach method is used in the manufacture of ceiling cornices, column bodies and pilasters, moldings. Here, the gypsum mortar is evenly distributed on a large table, and with the help of a special device, the product is pulled.

3. What education is required to get your position?

To work, you need to get a secondary education, preferably a secondary specialized construction education.

4. Describe your working day.

My working day begins with the preparation of casting molds. The necessary forms are put on the table, processed with a special compound. Then a gypsum mortar is kneaded with the addition of pigments, and this solution is poured into molds. When the gypsum hardens (after 15 minutes), the finished products (panels, rosettes, cornices) are removed from the mold, cleaned of defects and transferred to the dryer.

5. How comfortable are your working conditions (all day outside, or in the office with a cup of coffee)?

The whole process takes place in the workshop.

6. What do you like most about your business?

I like my work because it is creative. The same cast parts can be used to create different products.

7. What do you dislike most about your job?

I do not like doing a large amount of monotonous and monotonous work, but sometimes I have to.

8. If it's not a secret, what is your salary level (is it enough to write whether you are satisfied or not)?

Work is piece work. If you want to earn more, work harder. The salary level is adequate to the invested work.
