- When fastened to the overlay, 10 cm are added to the obtained value of the width and height of the window opening.
- When installed inside the window opening, the height is taken in its pure form, and 1.5 cm is subtracted from the width.
- When fixing in the sash, 2 cm are subtracted from its width, and 3 cm from the height.
Note! The ease of use of the blinds depends on the location of the control mechanism. If it is planned to install products in both sashes, then the cords of the different halves should be located on the right and left so that they do not interfere with each other.
Fixing with screws is the most reliable, but it is not suitable if you intend to periodically change the method of curtain. After drilling, holes remain on the surface of the window profile. In this case, choose fixing with screws to the wall.
Measurement
When installed in a window opening, a total of 4 cm is subtracted from its width (2 on each side) - this value corresponds to the width of the blinds. Installing roller blinds

In the event that the blinds are attached to the sash, then to calculate their sizes, you will need to know not only the width and height of the window, but also the depth of the glazing bead. The distance should be at least 4.5 cm. Otherwise, you will have to measure in the pad. Since the window can be uneven, the width and height must be measured at three points.
You can attach vertical blinds to the window opening in this way:
- Mark the attachment points.
- Drill holes.
- Install brackets.

Over windows
To calculate the size, add at least 18-20 cm to the width of the window opening on each side. You will also need to measure the distance from the ceiling to the upper corner of the slope. If you decide to use this particular option, then here are some recommendations on how to choose the optimal size of blinds:
- The width of the system should be 4 cm less than the width of the opening, that is, you should have 2 cm gaps on both sides. This is necessary not only for the free movement of the structure, but also for the normal fastening of the upper box, since it can be wider than the lamellas themselves;
- The height of the system must be 2 cm less than the height of the opening. But there is an important nuance - if one or two doors open, then the box should be positioned so as not to interfere with the work of the structure. If this does not work out, then it is better to use the option of fastening to the sash, which we will describe below.
