How to assemble a bridal bouquet of fresh flowers with your own hands?

How to make a do-it-yourself wedding bridal bouquet of fresh flowers: first of all, you need to get acquainted with the basic techniques of drawing up. For each bouquet, it is selected individually.

Advantages and disadvantages different options for composing wedding bouquets:

  1. Bouquet composed from own stems flowers without auxiliary options can be placed in a vase of water so that the flowers are saturated with moisture and retain their freshness longer. The difficulty is that in this way it is impossible to create a complex composition, since the stems do not bend, and the stem of the bouquet will turn out to be quite voluminous.
  2. A bouquet of flowers, which in whole or in part secured with wire: it is inserted into the stem or overlaid on top of it. This technique allows you to bend the stems as you like and create an original bouquet shape... But the composition itself will be heavy in weight.
  3. Taped bouquet- the stems are cut to the desired length according to the pattern of the bouquet and fixed on a wire, which is wrapped with a green floral ribbon. The advantage is that you can arrange a bouquet of any complexity, and the main disadvantage is the lack of flower nutrition. Therefore, they will retain their fresh appearance for a short time.
  4. The stems are completely cut off, and the inflorescences are attached to a thin wire, which is attached to a thicker one. Thus, inflorescences and twigs are formed. Such a bouquet will be very graceful and beautiful, but short-lived as in the previous version.
  5. Bouquet with a port-bouquet, where the stems are strengthened in a special moistened sponge. Such a bouquet is made up quickly, it can be given a round or falling shape, and flowers will not fade for a long time... If the flowers are large, the composition will be heavy.
  6. Adhesive technique: petals and flowers, leaves are attached to the surface of the base with glue. Such a bouquet is assembled very quickly, but it is distinguished by its fragility.
  7. In a frame bouquet a small cone with water is used, which is attached to the stem or inflorescence. The flowers feed on moisture well and an interesting arrangement can be created. But such bouquets are usually very bulky and uncomfortable.

A glass or plastic flask can be filled with tinted water and give plants extraordinary shades and additional color effect

  2. Attach the leaves in a circle to the expanding part of the bag on double-sided tape.
  3. The end of the satin ribbon must be glued to the end of the handle. Then glue the entire surface of the handle with double-sided tape and wrap it with tape in a spiral. Secure the tip with hot glue from a gun.
  4. Cut the leaves obliquely and stick the sponges into the cuff. An oblique cut will increase the area of the leaves, which will feed on moisture and the greens will remain fresh for a long time.
  5. It is recommended to choose small roses from flowers. Cut the stems to 6 cm and evenly insert into the sponge so that it completely disappears under the buds.

How to make the basis of a bouquet yourself: step by step instructions

To create an unusual spherical bouquet, no need to contact specialists. The base can be created from simple improvised materials and foam with your own hands, following the detailed instructions.

What is required for the base of the bouquet:

  • cardboard tube from food foil or film;
  • regular foam;
  • PVA glue;
  • toilet paper;
  • cotton threads;
  • bank gum (stationery);
  • glue gun.

To make a ball with a diameter of about 18-20 cm, you will need 5-6 squares of foam, 5-6 cm thick, square in shape. How to do:

  1. To make a hole for the pen: attach the cardboard tube to the foam and circle with a pencil. Use a knife to cut a recess according to the drawing. When exactly half of the tube fits into it, do the same on one more foam.
  2. Glue all parts of the foam, glueing the entire surface of the parts to be joined with glue. Pieces with a prepared hole should be located at the bottom of the composition. Fix the resulting square with rubber bands and leave until the glue dries. It is undesirable to use the "moment" glue for the manufacture of the base, as it corrodes the foam. The best option is PVA glue.
  3. Use a sharp small knife to cut off pieces of foam to form a circle out of a square.
  4. Roll the ball on the table so that the irregularities go away.
  5. Shorten the cardboard reel to 14-16 cm. The part that will be hidden in the ball, coat with hot glue and insert into the ball-shaped base.
  6. Wrap the ball randomly with threads. Dilute the glue with water in a ratio of 1 * 1. Dip pieces of toilet paper into the solution and stick to the ball, completely covering its surface. Leave to dry.

The basis for a wedding bouquet ready! Then it can be decorated with natural or artificial flowers, and the handle can be wrapped with a ribbon of a suitable color.

Floristry today is not just a hobby, but also knowledge that makes our world more beautiful every day. There are many areas where these skills are widely used. Aesthetics are needed in decorating a festive bouquet (for a wedding, anniversary, birthday or for no reason), creating accessories from living plants (New Year's wreath, ikebana, a flower arrangement in a basket, etc.), "living" decorations (hairpins or hair hoops, earrings with fresh flowers), etc.

A beginner florist needs to know the basic rules of floristic arrangement and decoration, thanks to which one can become very successful in this area. So, we recommend that you start mastering new knowledge.

Chromaticity

In creating any floral masterpiece, adhere to the rule of color harmony. The shade of a flower bud is, first of all, symbolism, therefore, saturated bright or pale pink carry completely different meanings. So, before making a flower arrangement, find out: for whom it is or what event it is intended for. Then choose the appropriate shades. A red rose symbolizes passion, a soft pink lily will help express a romantic mood, etc. Experts in the world of floristry still recommend using no more than 3 flowers in one bouquet / accessory.

Quantity

In floristry, it is important to adhere to harmony in everything, even in the number of buds or other plants. If you are working with exotic flowers then use them very selectively. Let Lisianthus, Dendrobium Orchid or Ranunculus be the centerpiece of your composition. They can be supplemented with less expensive plants, with which you need to create a background. For example, in winter, you can use pine needles as a base. In spring or summer - Aralia leaf, Salal, Aspidistra leaf, etc. To do this, you need to get an encyclopedia of flowers, and study as many plants as possible, learn to recognize them instantly.

Be sure to supplement visual memorization with semantic ones. When a professional florist sees a particular flower, he knows not only its name, but also its symbolism. If you reach that level, then you become a specialist.

In our country, it is customary to give an even number of flowers only on the occasion of a sad event - the death of a person. In all other cases, an odd number of buds is appropriate. However, in some countries it is quite normal to give a couple of roses to a living person. A highly professional florist should also be interested in the national peculiarities of floristry in different countries. Only by expanding knowledge can you become the best specialist in this field.

Form

There are basic floristic laws: for a round bouquet - round-shaped flowers, for plants with sharp petals, an asymmetric design using floral paper, etc. However, in matters of form, individual vision is also important here, as well as your own refined taste. You can, of course, find out the preferences of the client in order to build on his vision. The form, like other features of creating a floristic composition, must be felt. Over time, you will learn to do this intuitively, but first we recommend that you adhere to harmony in a uniform abundance.

Flower care

Living plants are an expensive material and also quickly deteriorate, so you need to know the basic rules for handling them:

Tools

The florist's main tools are his hands, sense of style and knowledge. If you have all this, supplement your own floristic "set" with such versatile accessories:

  • stationery knife;
  • secateurs;
  • stapler;
  • nippers;
  • awl;
  • Scotch;
  • glue gun;
  • decoration material: mesh, decorative spray, foil, beads, rhinestones, ribbons, wire, etc. (depending on the type of activity).

To form compositions, you may need a pomander, a bouquette, piaflor, kenzan, bulka. You can purchase these goods for attaching buds in a specialized store.

Composition in parallel technique.

Distinguish between spiral and parallel techniques for assembling and composing bouquets on natural stems. Parallel assembly consists in applying plant material straight and parallel to each other, starting from the central flower in a ring-like manner towards the periphery of the bouquet. The heads of flowers and greenery are positioned during assembly in such a way that they form a certain shape of the bouquet - round, oval, triangular, etc.

The main principle of drawing up a parallel composition is that flowers (more precisely, flower stems) are placed strictly vertically or obliquely (which is less common). Such a composition is made using an oasis, which is previously fixed in a vessel. Note that the oasis is located 1–2 cm below the edge of the vessel. If this is not done, then in the future it will be very difficult to decorate it. The plants should have an oblique cut - this way they will better anchor in the oasis. The elements of the composition are located at a sufficiently large distance so that the lines of the stems are clearly visible. The upper part of the composition, formed by inflorescences, can be lush, depending on the type of flowers, or, conversely, strict, minimalistic. At the end of the composition creation, we decorate the oasis. To do this, you can take colored decorative sand, moss, gravel, tree bark, sisal, shells.

For work in parallel technique, rectangular vessels are often used, since they are most harmoniously and naturally combined with clear straight lines of plants.

Vertically arranged plant stems in parallel compositions, as a rule, form clear
lines. By combining them, you can achieve a wide variety of effects, depending on the material used and the intention of the master. A florist placing plants in a composition is like a painter drawing a line on a canvas with a brush.

Bouquet in parallel technique

In order for the bouquet to turn out luxurious, a complex technique and an abundance of decorative materials are not at all necessary, especially if it is a man's bouquet that requires a certain restraint. A composition of one or two types of material, despite its asceticism, can look very elegant.

It is enough to take as a basis a large flower, such as, for example, amaryllis. This is a regal flower, and if you take several of these flowers in one bouquet, holding together from powerful stems in one column, you get a bouquet that emphasizes strict beauty and harmony - a bouquet for real men.

Spiral bouquet

The spiral system for constructing a round bouquet is that the main apical flower is placed directly, as for the rest of the flowers, those that are installed in the front should be consistently tilted from left to right, and those that are installed in the back should be tilted from right to left.

When assembling a bouquet, it is held in the left hand, and flowers are gradually added with the right. The flower stems should only touch where the fingers of the left hand hold them. Each subsequent flower should be laid slightly obliquely, in a spiral. The larger the bouquet becomes, the more the angle of inclination increases. As a result, 2/3 of the entire length of the flowers should rise above the hand, and 1/3 under the arm.

After drawing up the bouquet, it must be tied in the place where the stems touch. You can put the bouquet on the table and you will see how the ends of the stems form a circle on its surface.

The easiest way to learn how to make a spiral bouquet is using chrysanthemums. They fit easily in the hand and do not slip. To do this, the first flower must be placed on the middle and ring fingers of the left hand extended forward, in this case the thumb and forefinger will be the working fingers. Then remove the middle finger and put the second flower on the ring and index. Place the third flower on the middle and forefinger and press down with your thumb. The fourth flower should be pushed under the ring finger and positioned between the middle and forefinger.

As for the fifth flower, then it must be placed on the fourth, pressed with the index finger and tilted a little back. As a result, between the fingers there is a bouquet of flowers stacked one on top of the other and forming a spiral. Now you need to knit it. A bouquet in a spiral technique, the bouquet is ready.

Carnations, tulips, irises, miniature roses, anemones and asters can be used to compose a round bouquet of flowers of the same length. Such a bouquet requires a lot of flowers. The outer and inner flowers should be arranged so that they differ little in length, thereby achieving the roundness of the shape of this bouquet. It can be harvested from lilies of the valley, violets, sweet peas, medium roses, cornflowers and daisies, and other summer flowers.

Floristry attracts the attention of many novice needlewomen, for whom mastering new techniques is a goal that helps to constantly improve. Everyone can learn this craft step by step. After the first lessons, you can already count on the result. It is important to consolidate the knowledge gained in practice.

Floristry is the art of creating compositions from natural and artificial flowers, sometimes with the involvement of third-party elements. Skills in this area will be useful when creating bouquets, panels and collages. Floristic compositions can be in demand on the eve of holidays and various celebrations, be it a wedding or anniversary.

Materials for floristry

Having decided to do floristry, you should have the materials necessary to create compositions. Anything can be used to compose compositions. Here are the materials that the florist needs as often as possible.

Material The purpose Peculiarities
Floral sponge The basis for the composition. Usually, it is placed on the bottom of the container, and plants or other elements of the composition are stuck into it.
Thin wire Strapping material. It can be used for various purposes, including the manufacture of composition details.
Satin ribbon Decorating the composition. It is optimal to have satin ribbons of different colors.
Tape tape Taping slices. It can be used for various purposes.
Cling film As a wrapper. Should not be used as a decorative element, only as a technical wrapper.

Florist tools

You should not save on tools for a florist:

  • Pruner. It is recommended to approach the choice of secateurs with maximum scrupulousness. It will not be superfluous to hold, look and try the tool in action before buying, if possible.
  • Scissors. Florists often need scissors for different purposes. Therefore, it is optimal to have 2 pairs of scissors, one for household needs, and the second directly for floristry.
  • Floristic knife. Keep the knife well-sharpened. The structure of the stem can deteriorate when cut with a blunt knife. It is convenient to have 2 knives, one for working directly with compositions at the table, and the other for cutting plants in the garden.
  • Hot glue gun. For floristic purposes, a pistol with a power of 100 - 150 watts will be sufficient.
  • Pliers. The florist needs this tool to twist the wire, create bends on it. In addition, thin-nose pliers may come in handy, which are suitable for working with thin wires.
  • Wire cutters.
  • Color circle. A functional cheat sheet, thanks to which it is convenient to select the colors of the elements when creating bouquets and compositions.
  • Stapler. In the work of the florist, this device is used for the purpose of attaching details that cannot be glued or combined with other elements of the composition in any other way.

The basics of making bouquets of fresh flowers

Floristry for beginners, step by step, suggests that the student should first of all concentrate on unobtrusive compositions. Decorating the bouquet may be unnecessary, and this will negatively affect its attractiveness.

The design of the composition should be based on the purpose for which it is created. Accordingly, it is necessary to use elements that are optimal for this purpose.

The combination of flowers in a bouquet

Floral arrangements made predominantly using one color are called linear. There are also 4 scales that are appropriate for beginner florists without worrying about the result.

"Contrast"

The use of plants and elements of opposite color in a bouquet can make the composition bright, rich, and inspiring a sense of optimism.

A contrast that is too sharp, however, can lead to the opposite result.

"Similar"

If the composition contains elements that are similar in color, it can be classified as similar. Additional use of different shades of the same color is allowed.

The number of colors is not limited here, perhaps some will prevail over the rest, and maybe all of them will be equally represented.

"Monochromatic"

By using one color, but playing with its different shades, the result is a monochromatic composition.

In this case, the combination of elements is associated with smooth transitions, which presupposes that the eye catches "the whole picture as a whole", but if necessary, you can consider each element separately.

"Rainbow"

No particular color restrictions are intended. A variety of colors and other attributes of the composition elements can be used. A prime example here is the usual bouquet of wildflowers.

Despite the lack of strict restrictions, it should be understood that there are colors and other details that together do not look the most pleasant way.

Making bouquets of fresh flowers

You should not constantly rely on an intuitive approach, because even free arrangements obey certain laws, and below is a list of them:

  • It is more appropriate to place the brightest and largest buds in the center of the composition, and faded and small ones, respectively, closer to the edges, this will allow the bouquet to look more voluminous.
  • Decorating with greenery is permissible in a limited amount, too much of such a decor will distract from the flower buds, introducing randomness into the composition.

  • It is advisable to remove the inflorescences a little from each other, then it will be easier to see them.
  • It is recommended to vary the height of the arrangement elements within a reasonable range.
  • There is no need to forcefully bend or twist the plants, it is better to leave them in their natural position.
  • Flowers of varying maturity should be used whenever possible, from buds that have not yet opened to fully open ones.
  • All of the above rules can be violated, provided that in the end the composition will have a harmonious look.

Artificial flower bouquets arrangement

Floristry for beginners, step by step, provides an opportunity to eventually learn how to create bouquets of artificial flowers. Their main advantage over living ones is durability.

You should start by creating a pattern, and then proceed to creating an element based on it from pre-stocked blanks. The final version can be a standard bouquet, garden arrangement, potted plant or planter.
Floristic compositions

There are 2 main floristic styles: "massive" and "linear-massive".

Massive floristic style

Regarding the first, it is assumed that the basis of the composition is a massive plant or flower, which is located vertically, and several additional elements - horizontally. There is no focal point here.

Experts do not advise using a contrasting color scheme when creating a floral arrangement in a massive style. It is preferable to flow from one element to another, both in terms of their color and their size. A classic example of a composition in this style is flowers in a vase.

Linear style of floristry

Floristry is not always obvious to beginners with regard to such points as determining the style of compositions. Learning the skill step by step, at a certain stage it becomes clear how the linear-massive style differs from the one described above: the plant material should not be completely covered.

Floristry training for beginners, step-by-step master classes

Beginning florists, thanks to master classes, will learn some secrets and get acquainted with the pitfalls that mentors tell how to get around.

Flower box

Floristry for beginners is taught step by step from the basics of composition, assuming the availability of the following materials at hand, in addition to the basic ones:

  • succulent;
  • roses with large buds;
  • box or box;
  • postcard (optional).
Floristry for beginners step by step: an example of decorating a box with flowers

Execution process:

  1. Based on the size of the box or cardboard box, it is necessary to cut the sponge accordingly and then pack it in cling film.
  2. Place the film with a sponge in the box and then secure it using a stapler.
  3. Plants need to be laid, filling the entire volume of the container with them, but carefully so as not to accidentally damage anything.
  4. Now the box with flowers should be tied with a satin ribbon, and, if desired, put a postcard corresponding to the composition in shape and color inside.

Handbag with flowers

To create this composition, you should stock up on the following materials:

  • rose (regular);
  • eustoma;
  • pink tape;
  • large purple beads;
  • carnations (flowers);
  • resin seed;
  • any fabric.

Execution process:

  1. Wrap the entire length of the wire with tape.
  2. Further, the wire should be intertwined in such a way that it is given the shape necessary for the base of the frame of the future handbag.
  3. From the same wire, you need to weave the handles of the handbag, and then attach them to the prepared frame.
  4. To give the handles aesthetic appeal, they can be wrapped with satin ribbon.
  5. The frame of the bag must be covered with a cloth from the inside.
  6. Now you should put a floral sponge soaked and wrapped in plastic wrap at the very bottom of the bag.
  7. In order for the flowers to completely enter the purse, their stems should be cut appropriately, and then each flower must be inserted into a sponge.
  8. With the help of beads and a satin ribbon, weaving these objects together, you need to make a garland, and then it should be attached to the purse.

Bridal bouquet

Here you should prepare for execution:

  • panicums (5 pcs.);
  • decorative lace;
  • pink organza;
  • ruler;
  • decorative plastic tape;
  • beads, no more than 1 cm in diameter (15 pcs.);
  • pink tulips (7 pcs.);
  • green wire.

Execution process:

  1. A strip of organza, the width of which should not exceed 30 cm, needs to be folded in half, and then cut in the middle with scissors, dividing it into 2 parts. Repeat this operation with the other strip, as you will need at least 4 organza shreds.
  2. Each of these shreds must be folded in half and strips 3 cm wide cut from them with scissors, but the incision should not reach the fold line.
  3. From these segments, it is necessary to collect lush flowers, twisting their legs together, and then connecting them with a wire at the base, but one leg should be left long, so that its length corresponds to the stem of the decorative flower.
  4. Tulips should be placed within the same level, and panicums should be evenly distributed throughout the bouquet, the framing of fresh flowers will be due to the organza details made in the previous step.
  5. All stems must now be tied with wire, twisting it as high as possible, in order to avoid loss of shape and decay of the flowers combined together.
  6. Using pruning shears, the stems should be cut to the desired length.
  7. Leaves from the stems must be carefully torn off and positioned around the entire circumference of the bouquet.
  8. Further, observing the utmost care, avoiding damage to the leaves of tulips, you should, wrapping a plastic tape around the place of the bundle 3-4 times, fasten the bouquet.
  9. The ends of the decorative ribbon can be decorated with white beads.

Spiral bouquet

Any flowers are suitable for this composition. For greater convenience, it is recommended to choose those with dense and even stems. This can be, for example, chamomile or roses.

Execution process:

  1. Several peeled flowers must be folded tops so that they are in an upright position.
  2. Having transferred the workpiece to the left hand, you need to take the next flower with your right and, slightly tilting it to the right side, place it in front of the workpiece, but the next flower will need to be tilted to the left side.
  3. Repeat the operations from the previous paragraph with the only difference that now you need to fold the flowers at the back.
  4. Items 2 and 3 are repeated until the composition is finished. Along the way, adjusting the height of the buds is allowed, but do not forget to hold the entire workpiece firmly with your left hand. It should also be borne in mind that the flowers during this assembly should only touch the stems.
  5. The decor, when used, should also be added in a spiral.
  6. Greens can be added at the end. It is assumed that her bouquet will be as if wrapped.
  7. You should firmly fix the bouquet with wire or decorative plastic tape, and cut off the excess ends with pruning shears.
  8. The stems need to be cut obliquely, then the bouquet can receive nutrition from the water.

Florists recommend avoiding wrapping round bouquets, which include the spiral version, with mesh, paper or film. Small bouquets of no more than 15 elements can still be wrapped. You can insert a greeting card into a small spiral bouquet, wrapped, for example, with foil.

Parallel bouquet

This type of bouquets can often be seen at weddings or in banquet halls.

It is quite easy to assemble a parallel bouquet, for this you need to have on hand:

  • flowers with large buds;
  • fern or greenery;
  • elements for decoration.

Execution process:

  1. It is necessary to make a "ladder" of the available flowers, laying them side by side so that the head of the next flower is lower than the previous one.
  2. The stems must be tied with tape so that they adjoin each other. It will use roses optimally.
  3. Next, you should add decorative elements and greenery around the flowers, remembering that they cannot cover the upper part of the composition, which is represented by the buds.
  4. To make the bouquet more stable, you can use a wire frame.
  5. The stems should be cut evenly, after which the bouquet can be decorated with ribbons and bows, and wrapped in any material, if the situation requires it.

Dried flowers composition

This composition is not as difficult to perform as in the search for suitable dried flowers. Plants shown in the example can be replaced with similar ones.

An example of drawing up a floristic composition from dried flowers

Execution process:

  1. Place the sponge on the bottom of a vase or other container; if necessary, trim it to shape the container.
  2. The immortelle inflorescences, as the largest, are placed in the vase first.
  3. It will not be superfluous to add contrast, for this you can place black rudbeckia in a vase.
  4. Now you need to add vertical elements - inflorescences of western rudbeckia, and the free space of the composition can be decorated with sprigs of pink heather.
  5. Finally, the turn of the highest elements of this composition comes - haretail inflorescences. It is important here to carefully approach the work with these inflorescences, as they have fragile stems.

Technique "Wrong"

Floristry for beginners step by step also touches on the Japanese technique "Oshibana", which in a certain sense can be classified as painting, since pictures are created with its help.

The difference from classical painting is that the "artist" here, instead of paints or on a par with them, uses plants dried using a special technology. It can be not only flowers, but anything you like: fruits, peels, berries, bark, seeds, and so on.

To perform compositions in this style, you will need:

  • tweezers;
  • colour pencils;
  • a piece of cloth;
  • hot glue gun;
  • paints (watercolor);
  • tracing paper;
  • colored paper or cardboard;
  • PVA glue.

Particular attention should be paid to the collection of material. This should be done exclusively in dry weather. Each plant must be carefully examined for mold and insect larvae, and if any are found, the plant must be discarded. Dirty and dusty plants, if possible, should be cleaned, if not, then discarded as well.

After collecting the material, it must be dried. For this, you can use books under load, or old newspapers. The load should be selected individually for each plant, so as not to spoil the material.

Delicate plants should not be pressed over 20 kg. If the material is too fragile, then the maximum weight of the press is 5 kg. For coarse plants, a press is suitable - up to 40 kg.

It is not forbidden to dry large juicy leaves with an iron through special paper or newspaper. The dried material should be stored in a dry, dark place, previously placed in folders or CD boxes.

Composition process:

  1. First you need to decide on the plot of the picture. If a large amount of light details is expected, then the background should be used in a dark color, and vice versa. Colored paper or cardboard acts as a material for the background, which can be colored a little with paints or pencils. Various fabrics can also be used for the background.
  2. Having decided on the plot, a sketch should be applied to the main background with a pencil, followed by tracing it onto tracing paper.
  3. Elements are cut out of tracing paper, on the basis of which plants are selected for use in the composition.
  4. Plants, cut to the required size, need to be laid out on the main background in accordance with the idea.
  5. It is not necessary to thoroughly coat the parts from plants with glue; it is better to apply it in a thin layer and carefully attach the parts to the canvas.
  6. As a final step, the painting will need to be placed under the load.

Remember that paintings made according to the "Oshibana" technique are categorically not recommended to be placed in open sunlight, as this can lead to its rapid fading.

Ceramic method

Ceramic floristry involves the use of polymer clay to create bouquets of flowers and various crafts.

As an example, an embodiment of a bell using a ceramic method will be considered.

To make it you will need:

  • pencil;
  • PVA glue;
  • clay;
  • paints;
  • rolling pin;
  • threads;
  • small tin strip.

Execution process:

  • You need to make a bell pattern and bend a tin strip according to its shape.
  • Now you should take the clay and mix it with a solution of water and paints to get about the color you would like to see in the end.
  • Using a rolling pin, you need to roll out the clay and then with a knife you need to cut out several patches in the shape of flowers.
  • With your fingers on the back of the flower, you need to create small ribs;
  • With your fingers, you need to glue the edges of the flower and pinch in the shape of a cross, making movements with them up.
  • To create a stamen and pistil, you need a thin layer of clay, rolled up with a sausage, cut into 3 small pieces from one end, and then glue the "pestle" there, framing it with yellow threads.

  • Now you can put on the bell.
  • The sepal is made using the same technique and glued to the base.
  • Finally, you need to roll the leg with clay and tint the flower with oil.
    Packaging as part of the composition

Plain paper is in trend. Lace patterns, satin ribbons and even large rope weaving can add charm to the bouquet. Untreated linen is suitable for fabrics.

Grids are increasingly considered an outdated trend by florists. Polyethylene can be used only as technical packaging; this material is not used as decoration for the composition.

Flower care

Natural and artificial flowers need some care. Dried plants are also used in floristic compositions, and they require a different care from that of natural and artificial flowers.

Fresh flowers care

Since plants in water inevitably begin to decompose through the process of decay, which ultimately leads to the multiplication of bacteria, the water in which the flowers are placed must be as pure as possible. This approach will slow down the wilting process, the flowers will last longer.

We must not forget that substances contained in tap water can also adversely affect the life of the flower, therefore it is better to use water from a filter. It is not forbidden to use sprayers to cool and moisturize flowers.

Rules for caring for fresh flowers:

  • It is necessary to remove all shoots and leaves on the stem, which will be submerged in water. After that, the stems should be washed.
  • The cut of the stem should be done at an angle, and as much water as possible should be poured into the vase, then the flowers will last longer. The optimum water temperature in this case is 7 ° C.
  • It is highly discouraged to put a vase of flowers next to heating devices, this will shorten their life. Flowers will last longer in a well-ventilated area with dim light, away from direct sunlight.

Dry flower care

On average, dried flowers and plants can be stored for up to a year without prejudice to their subsequent use in floristic compositions.

Bunches of dried flowers are kept hanging

There are rules to extend this period:

  • Dry flowers can be treated with a special fixer for floral arrangements.
  • The dried material should be kept away from light, especially from direct exposure to the sun.
  • A hairdryer can be used to blow off dust from compositions made of dry material, but only at low power, otherwise there is a risk of spoiling the composition.
  • Rooms with high humidity should be avoided.
  • The best way to store dried plants is to create bundles and then hang them on hooks.
  • The dried flower heads can be stored in a cardboard box, having previously poured a small amount of silica gel on the bottom, and covered with wrapping paper on top.

Artificial flower care

Artificial flowers require less maintenance to keep them in good condition.

Artificial flower leaves can be gently wiped with a soft cloth

Here are the rules to help you avoid spoiling such material:

  • to remove dust, you can use a hair dryer at low power and a soft cloth;
  • direct exposure of the material to sunlight should be avoided;
  • you need to store artificial flowers in a cardboard box, completing them in an upright position to avoid dents and deformations.
