Ingredients:

For 2 liters of ready-made lemonade:

  • 1 large orange;
  • 1 \\ lemon;
  • 2 tsp grated ginger root;
  • 10-12 tbsp Sahara;
  • 200 ml of boiling water;
  • 1.5 liters of water (regular or gas).

How to make ginger lemonade:

Let's start with the citrus fruits: my orange and lemon, then chop randomly into not too large pieces.

Put the lemon and orange in a container convenient for working with a blender, add ginger grated on a fine or medium grater.

Don't forget about sugar - add it to citrus fruits and ginger.

And now we call the blender for help - we need to grind the lemon and orange as little as possible. It won't take very long, just one or two minutes.

And pour the mass, which we have got, with boiling water. Stir and leave alone for 2-3 hours (at room temperature).

During this time, the appearance of the citrus mass will practically not change.

But this, of course, is not quite what we need yet. This mass turns out to be quite thick, for ginger lemonade it should be filtered. We do this with a fine strainer or gauze. It turns out a very concentrated lemonade with orange and ginger, a rich orange color. But back to lemonade. As I said, we got a concentrate. We dilute it with water (with or without gas) and then we get exactly the lemonade that we need - not sugary, light, refreshing. You do not need to dilute the entire amount at once, but cook one or two glasses, as needed. In this case, 1.5-2 tbsp should be added to 200 ml of water. concentrate. Actually, you can change this dose, focusing on your taste, making homemade ginger lemonade richer or, conversely, weaker. For those who prefer cool drinks, you can toss a couple of ice cubes into the glass.

What to do?

  • First, we need to prepare citrus fruits so that they give as much juice as possible when cooking. To do this, each lemon and orange needs to be heated a little in the microwave for 10-15 seconds, and then roll it with your palm on the tabletop with moderate pressure.
  • Now we cut the citrus fruits in half, squeeze the juice out of them (so far without fanaticism) and put them in a saucepan. It's best to cut right over the pot so you don't waste precious milliliters of juice, which will literally gush out when you make the cut.
  • We will wash the ginger root, but we will not peel it: anyway, our homemade lemonade will need to be filtered before serving. Cut the ginger into thin slices and put it in a saucepan with lemons and oranges.
  • Put the saucepan over medium heat and bring the mixture to a boil. Now turn down the heat and let the mixture simmer for about 10 minutes. If desired, add 100 ml of water so that the liquid covers the zest.
  • Let the ginger lemonade cool. Now you have to squeeze out as much juice as possible from each half of the lemon and orange. You can simply separate the pulp from the rind, throw out the crusts, and squeeze all the juices from the pulp with gauze.
  • The drink is filtered through cheesecloth and a strainer so that no bones and pieces of ginger get into the finished drink.
  • And finally, the concentrate is poured into a decanter and diluted with cold sparkling water. It is better to choose water not mineral, but simply with gas, so as not to spoil the taste. Don't forget to add some ice and garnish the glass with a lemon wedge!

Quick lemonade based on ginger syrup

If you have made lemonade based on commercial syrup, then you will definitely love this recipe. The only difference is that the syrup will need to be prepared in advance, but then the preparation of the drink will take literally 5 minutes.

What do you need for a syrup?

  • water 250 ml;
  • ginger 250 g;
  • sugar 200 g;
  • lemon 1 slice.

What do you need for lemonade?

  • syrup to taste;
  • lemon 1 pc .;
  • water 500 ml.

What to do?

  • Let's start with the preparation of the syrup, since it is he who is the basis in this recipe.
