  • Recreation of game content: The main part of the content for each card was recreated from scratch using new technologies supported by the new graphics engine. Simply put - we redraged everything.
  • Optimization: To see a new game world and enjoy the new graphics every player, regardless of the configuration of his computer, we optimized the frame rate and the stability of the work and thus reduced the load on the performance.

Work on graphics will not stop and after updating 1.0. We will continue to introduce new technologies - and now, having released a new schedule, we only made one, albeit a giant, step in this direction. Now that the foundation is laid, we will continue to improve the schedule in 2018 and in the future.

Sky

Thanks to the photorealistic sky on the "Prokhorovka" is always sunny. The sky before the sky looked unreal and static, but now the clouds are moving in the wind, and the sky changes the color depending on the lighting. Shadow

In the visual part of the "Peace of Tanks" there is something noticeable immediately, but significantly affects the atmosphere and realism - shadows. If the shadows are implemented qualitatively, the game will look realistic.


Adaptive Shadow Maps technology calculates shadows from fixed objects (buildings, rocks, trees, etc.) and preserves them in a special repeatedly used texture of the shadows. This reduces the load on the processor and the video card. Moving objects (technique, falling trees, etc.) will receive improved dynamic shadows.

The new graphic engine provides interaction between the shadows and particle effects. This means that steam, dust and smoke will discard translucent shadows. For example, when your car drives into the shadow of the mountain, dust from the caterpillars will no longer be unnaturally lit. Instead, dust will enter the shadow of the mountain and light similarly to the car and other objects located nearby. And last: we applied the shadow effects of materials that will allow you to more accurately transfer the depth of various materials.
