After all, judge for yourself, changing jobs forces a person:

  • Adapt to new responsibilities.
  • Adapt to the psychological (after all, there is a big unknown ahead, the risk of dismissal).
  • Adapt to social change - new colleagues may be very different from previous ones.
  • Adapt to physical changes - new office location, new table and a chair, new food in the dining room, the light falls from the window differently, the temperature is different.

All this can even lead to illness. I often see new employees getting sick after just one or two weeks on the job. And then they go to work sick, because they are afraid to take sick leave in their first days.

In order to find ways to get everything from your least favorite job, you first need to figure out what your favorite job consists of.

An ideal job consists of the following components:

  • You love to do this.
  • You know how to do this.
  • You can get paid for this.

When all three areas intersect, a person has an ideal career.

I suggest you take a short test and understand what is happening with your career.

Next to each question you need to put a number from 1 to 10, where 10 means that you completely agree with the expression, and 1 means you completely disagree.

Now add up the points in each section (professionalism, love, income).

Ideal career looks like that: 100–100–100 .

I believe that each of you is able to find something of your own in an unloved job and get everything from it. And here are a few options that I came across:

  1. Work for a girl is an opportunity “walk” your new outfit. For girls, new outfits are like air. Without them they go out. But any new outfit needs to be worn somewhere else. There should be admiring glances, compliments or even gossip from envious people and enemies. And the office is the best place where all this can happen.

  6. Schedule. If you are tired of work, then you can enjoy life by strictly observing your work schedule. After all, it’s usually like, you come at 9 o’clock, leave at 19, 20, 21, have lunch at your desk and don’t see the light at all.
    And according to the law, you come at 9, you have short breaks every hour, have lunch for 60 minutes and go home at 18. If you comply with at least half of these standards, you will feel great relief.
  7. If you're tired of your job, start changing your environment. Firstly, very often you can ask for improved working conditions, a better location of the office or desk. Secondly, you can ask for a more convenient and beautiful table, orthopedic chair, more powerful laptop, work mobile phone. You can ask that a coffee maker, a radio tape recorder, or a vase with a flower be placed in the office. The environment has changed- and work became more fun. Also, buy yourself a cool notepad, pen and all the office supplies.
  8. Organize something. You can organize a corporate event, a trip to another city, a go-kart competition or paintball. You can encourage everyone to go to the pub or bowling alley.
  9. Go on vacation for all the days you haven’t used before. By law all days unused vacation do not burn out, but accumulate. I have met people who, after working for a company for 5-10 years, have 100 to 200 days of unused vacation. Set yourself a goal take twice as much vacation per year than what is given to you by law - 48 days. This is 12 days every quarter. Or try going on vacation for a whole month.
  10. Almost every company has a training budget. Find yourself interesting training and ask the company to pay you to participate in it. It is better to train in another city or another country, to travel by train and live in a hotel. A great way to reboot your brain.

  12. Mentoring. Having guinea pigs is always interesting. Talk to your boss and express your desire to mentor new employees. Firstly, this will allow you to legally reduce the load on your main job. Secondly, you will be able to legitimately chat with newcomers, take more frequent smoke breaks and stay longer at lunch under the pretext of “increased adaptation.” Newcomers will love you for this, your authority will rise, and there is a chance to receive a bonus.
  13. Additional leave for a mother of two children under 15 years old. Few people know that mothers of two children are entitled to an additional 10 days of leave, which do not accumulate. They should be used for beloved children in addition to the main vacation.
