Methods for fastening drywall to the ceiling on the profile and without a frame. Recommendations for fastening drywall to the ceiling methods for fastening plasterboard plates to the ceiling

There are many different ways to fasten the drywall itself, but for the installation of sheets on the surface of the ceiling is not all suitable. To the surface of the walls, the sheets of plasterboard can be easily screwed or glued, but it is inconvenient to glit-cooling plaster sheets on the ceiling and even dangerous, because under the influence of vibrations and under the weight of the sheets of glue can give cracks.

And this can lead to the conversion of the ceiling design. Using only two methods using which it is possible to install plasterboard in sheets on the surface of the ceiling:

  • using the installation on the carrier profile frame;

  • using fixing screws directly into the ceiling.

Self-mounting technology of plasterboard by screwing the sheets of the material directly to the surface of the base ceiling.

The method of screwing plasterboard sheets directly to the surface of the ceiling can only be applied on the ceilings made of wood. This method is simpler, moreover, does not require pre-installation of the carrier frame. But it is possible to apply it only on wooden ceilings.

The surface of the base ceiling at the same time should be completely even, otherwise the surface of the new flat surface will not have. Working with leaf plasterboard is easier and more convenient to two.

The instrument required for mounting the plasterboard ceiling by mounting directly to the ceiling surface:

  • rechargeable screwdriver with a set of nozzles (you can use network, but it is inconvenient);
  • construction knife - for cutting sheet to the desired size;
  • marker;
  • pencil simple;
  • construction line;
  • construction kitchenage;
  • self-tapping screws for plasterboard and for wood;
  • dowel - Nails;
  • building level;
  • marking cord.

When screwing the plasterboard sheets to the surface of the ceiling, screws for a tree with a length of 7 to 10 cm are used. This work is more convenient to perform standing on the table. The height of the table is desirable to pick up in such a way that you stand on it can slightly touch the surface of the ceiling.

You need to prepare two rods to work in advance in length equal to the height of the room. They will be used as backups for plasterboard sheets. Subjects are comfortable made of metal profile. In shape, they should be similar to the mop, the length of the handle of which is equal to the height of the room and with a crossbar of 50-60 cm. The rods must be installed in the wall in the place where the installation will be performed so as not to interfere with the lifting of the plasterboard sheet.

For mounting, a sheet of drywall lifting on his hands above his head. At the same time holding it on the head with one hand, the second hand to substitute the prepared backup. Putted backups from two sides to the ceiling, there will be no sheet. Establish a leaf more accurately, you can possess the subranges. Then you can fasten it. The fastening of the plasterboard ceiling without a carrier frame and the profile frame is characterized by the length of the used screws. When fastening the sheets of plasterboard, directly to the ceiling surface, it is necessary to repel from the thickness of the sheet, so the screws 7-10 cm long applied for installation.

Method of fastening drywall on the ceiling by screwing to the carrier frame.

Applying the markup for the secondary guide of the framework profiles, it is necessary to take into account the static load, which will depend on the sheet thickness and type of plasterboard plates. To perform such a type of fastening of plasterboard, you will need tools that were used and when fastening sheets directly to the surface of the base ceiling.

Materials for the installation of plasterboard sheets to the surface of the ceiling:

  • plasterboard in sheets;
  • for mounting frame: Ceiling suspensions, guides and main profiles, connecting elements (couplings, crabs and brackets);
  • insulating materials;
  • soundproofing tape;
  • tape for sealing seams;
  • gypsum spacion mix;
  • metal perforated corner.

Application markup yourself.

The design of the markup is to apply on the surface of the walls of the horizontal line, which, when mounting the frame, it will correspond to the boundary of the outer surface of the suspended ceiling, as well as the markup of the places where the closed profile, the main and secondary guides of the framework will be located.

Conducting markup lines for secondary framework guide profiles, it is necessary to take into account the static load on the structure, which will depend on the sheet thickness and type of material of plasterboard plates.

Installation of the carrier frame on the ceiling with their own hands.

Frame collection includes such work:

  • drill holes for a dowel - nails in the base ceiling;
  • fastening a dowel - nails ceiling suspensions;

  • installation of basic and supporting profiles.

There are several varieties of metal profile frames, which are different from each other, mostly only by the method of fastening the main profiles to the profiles carrier and type of ceiling suspensions.

Usually use two main schemes:

  • secondary profile guides are perpendicular to the main profiles at different heights and are then connected to each other with the use of P-shaped connectors. The scheme is used when there is no big need to fight for the accommodation in the room. As profile segments, secondary framework guides are placed between the main profiles and are oriented perpendicular to them in one horizontal plane.

  • the connection of profiles is performed by the connecting couplings of the X-shaped form. This method is used when the height of the room needs to save.

Installation of the design begins with the preparation of all holes on the surface of the base ceiling. Then, with the use of dowels, the ceiling suspension is installed. For this purpose, the perforator, screwdriver and hammer are used.

The design of ceiling suspensions should allow the adjustment of the height of the ceiling main profiles and thus perfectly aligned the surface of the mounted suspended ceiling.

Photo of suspensions for the frame when attaching plasterboard sheets to the ceiling.

Then along the walls of the room according to the applied markup, the installation of guide profiles in the horizontal plane performs. To get the highest possible sound insulation, it is desirable to install these profiles on the pennoresine or polyurethane foam self-adhesive sound insulation tape. When the tape is glued, profiles need to be fixed onto the walls using a perforator.

The installation of a dowel - nails are properly performed using a hammer (plastic part), and screw in it with a screwdriver or a screwdriver. Guides metal profiles have already punched holes designed to accommodate a dowel - nails. If necessary, drill holes additionally.

Bold to the surface every profile, you need to use at least three dowels. Reducing the profile length conveniently applying metal cutting scissors.

The method of fixing fastening depends on the design of the carrier frame. Then you need to start the installation of the ceiling profiles that you need to start the ceiling suspension in the grooves and mounted on the wall of the guide profiles. To lengthen, if necessary, the profile can be used by the method of splicing two profile segments, twisting them with self-draws and using a CD connector. After that, secondary framework profiles are attached to the profiles.

The choice of fastening method depends on the selected carcass design:

  • when connecting profiles at various horizontal levels, connecting P - shaped brackets that are reached in the grooves on the bearing, lower frame profiles;
  • to connect a framework profiles on one horizontal level, special connecting couplings of X-shaped shapes are used, which are fixed to secondary framework profiles with screws for metal.

After completing the installation, it is necessary using the construction level to monitor the horizontal of the location of the frame and, if necessary, adjust the height of the ceiling suspensions. Insulating additional materials are applied if it is necessary to manufacture a design with increased sound insulation or properties.

Stacking these materials are performed after laying all communications on the ceiling (electrical wiring, ventilation, signaling system cables, etc.).

Montage with your own hands of plasterboard sheets on the ceiling.

To perform the installation of frames with a complex surface form, it is necessary to apply a specially curved profile or make a frame of direct standard profiles fixed on the cut-off curvilinear plasterboard sheets.

Plasterboard sheets must be installed in advance, placing them for this on a flat smooth surface and with the help of a square, a construction roulette and a simple line of markings. After that, the sheet of drywall is cut by a knife along the markup line.

If a knife was used to cut the sheet, then the sheet of the material sheet is applied along the line of the material line to the edge of any surface, for example, the table and is reduced, after which, with the help of a knife from the side, inversely, cardboard is cut.

From the edges, cropped sheet cabarton sheets with a plates, approximately one third of the total plate thickness at an angle of tilt at 45 °, the chamfer is removed if the mounting seams are planned to be separated using a sealing tape or on 2/3 of the total plate thickness at a tilt angle of 22.5 °, if the ribbon is not used when shtocking the seams.

The cutting edges of the material are cleaned with a flat shape rasp. The round holes in the drywall are necessary, for example, for mounting the lamps, are cut out with a special milling cutting on a drill.

Plasterboard sheets are mounted on the level-tested frame with self-draws for drywall, using a screwdriver and a screwdriver. At the same time, you need to move consistently from the edge to the edge to avoid leaf deformation.

It is recommended to secure plasterboard sheets perpendicular to the supporting guide profiles. If the second layer of drywall will be superimposed, the assembly seams between them relative to each other you need to shift. Each layer of plasterboard is fixed separately.

It is necessary to achieve a thick fit of the plasterboard sheet to the carrier frame. Screws when mounting should be placed from each other at a distance of 25 cm. Screws are screwed down on the side of the P-shaped main profile, while there should be a small groove with a thickness of about 1 mm between adjacent plasterboard sheets.

To avoid material chipping, screws must be placed at a distance of at least 15 mm from the edge of the cropped sheet. Among other things, screws in a drywall sheet must be twisted strictly perpendicular to its plane, observing a straight angle.

The depth of income of the screw should not be less than 10 mm. The head of the screwed screw is deepened in the plate plate approximately 1 mm (for convenience upon subsequent putty). At the places of the compound of drywall, apply the ribbon on the adhesive basis. In the same way, it is necessary to separate elements from plasterboard sheets with various functions, such as the suspended ceiling and the walls of the wall.

In order to make the metal frame of a complex form, you need to use a bent plastic profile or to unharge the profile and drywall itself.

Sealing the mounting seams of drywall.

Before proceeding with the seams of plasterboard seams, you need to complete all the "wet works" in the room. And also to check whether all the screws are recessed, which mounted plasterboard to the frame and how high quality and firmly attached plasterboard. Since plasterboard, which is sold, has different types of edges, then further work will depend on what edge has plasterboard.

The beveled edges of the sheet of plasterboard and the edges that are cut at an angle of 45 degrees need to be embedded with a putty using a tape. The semicircular edges of the sheet of plasterboard and edges, which are cut at an angle of 22 degrees can be embedded with a putty without the use of tape. In order to high-qualityly separate the ceiling by plasterboard, you need some patience, accurate calculations and information from professionals from the Internet.

Video on the mounting of plasterboard plates to the ceiling.

Plasterboard is a very convenient facing material. In addition, the price / quality ratio is significantly ahead of the same indicator in other building materials. Often, the ceiling is made of plasterboard plates, since due to the evenness of the material, it is possible to create an ideal surface. Today we will talk about how to attach plasterboard to the ceiling.

Arrangement of plasterboard ceilings

Let's look at the arrangement of a simple single-level ceiling of plasterboard sheets. Knowing how plasterboard is attached to the ceiling, you can create not only ordinary single-level, but also complex multi-level structures. But for the qualitative conduct of such work, you should know how to fix plasterboard to the ceiling.

Marking ceiling

Since there are emptiness in concrete floors, so that the dowels do not fail in them, you can use special fragile or shock dowels. But in the second case, the screw must be thicker.

After the profiles are fixed, proceed to the wiring of electrical wiring. For greater safety, the wires are hiding in a corrugated channel. Now consider how to mount plasterboard on the ceiling.

Installation of plasterboard sheets

It is necessary to take into account that drywall is quite overall material, and therefore it is better to enlist the help of a partner. Conduct the ceiling of the plasterboard alone is not very convenient, especially if you do it for the first time.

Sheet of plasterboard rises by two people. After that, one person holds the material, and the second - screws it. At the same time, consider that the extreme CD profile serves to fix two sheets, and therefore the edge of the plasterboard should reach the middle of the plank. The second half of the profile is designed to fix the next sheet of material.

How to attach plasterboard to the ceiling? At the fixing of one sheet, there are usually 60 screws with a length of 25 mm. They are twisted at a distance of 30 cm from each other flush with the plane of the ceiling, but it is important not to overdo it - it is impossible to break the paper of the material.

Since conducting the mounting of drywall on the ceiling, it is important not to damage the paper layer, it is necessary to use a special nozzle on a screwdriver or a screwdriver. It has a special lampshade, which during screwing the screws will rest on the sheet, thereby controlling the depth of the drowning cap.

By installing a sheet, do not forget about the need to remove wiring for lighting. If during

The use of drywall, as material for finishing work in the process of repair and construction is quite wide. With the help of this material, the walls are made, the formation of niches and partitions, as well as the ceiling trim.

In order to figure out how to fix plasterboard to the ceiling, you should carefully examine the recommendations on this issue. This work is not particularly difficult, but not professionals will have to work hard by mastering a new skill.

The surface created from plasterboard sheets has many advantages:

  • the ceiling will be perfectly even - such a quality of the coating is difficult to achieve any other ways;
  • the possibility of accommodating communications and isolation, hiding them under the coating;
  • the ability to create unusual designs in accordance with your own ideas or designer project. It is possible to form devices from one or several levels, giving them various colors and shades using the finish;
  • creating a unique lighting system, which is carried out using special lamps. There is an opportunity to choose not only power, but also direction of light flow, as well as the appearance of the lamp;
  • you can form a plasterboard ceiling in any room. There are special varieties of this material having moisture resistance and refractory, which makes it possible to mount such a ceiling in the bathroom, in the kitchen, in the sauna, and so on;
  • in the conditions of a wet room, it is possible to use conventional sheets, soaking them with a special composition. This option may be savoring than the purchase of special sheets. The issue of waterproofing such surfaces deserves separate consideration.

GLC fastening technology to ceiling

  • Marking of the area of \u200b\u200bwork using a level.
  • Fastening the UD profile around the ceiling perimeter.
  • Fastening the suspensions to the ceiling.
  • Installation of CD profiles to guides and to suspensions.
  • Fastening sheet carp sheets on carrier profiles.
  • Putclone joints and places of installation of self-tapping screws.
  • Finish surface finish.

To obtain a qualitative result, it is necessary to adhere to the sequence of work, as well as responsibly approach the selection of drywall and fasteners. Save on such a design like a ceiling, it should be thoughtfully, otherwise excessive savings may affect the reliability and service life of the entire structure.

How to choose a profile and accessories for drywall

Creating a structure from several levels involves the presence of three types of fasteners: the initial, main and longitudinal profile.

  • Profiles that perform supporting function must comply with the requirements of strength and withstand the weight of the entire design. The wrong selection of these elements can lead to deformation, for example, the provisions of the elements that from the outside will appear in the appearance of cracks or bends.
  • In addition to the lack of aesthetic attractiveness, such defects are fraught with a violation of the integrity of the sheets of material.
  • The mounting of the suspensions to the base of the ceiling is performed by anchors or dowels. All mounts should be made of metal. Plastic parts will not provide the necessary strength.

The guide profiles are attached to the suspensions, and the plasterboard panels are attached to them. Do not stop the choice on too thin sheets. 12.5 mm width sheets will provide sufficient structure stiffness.

Required tools

  • screwdriver;
  • level;
  • pencil and measuring roulette.

Often, complete with profiles are provided with fastening elements, if they are missing, they must be purchased independently.

Marking of the ceiling surface and mounting frame under plasterboard

  • Like all finishing works with the participation of drywall, the ceiling installation begins with marking.
  • The base line is applied on the wall with an indentation from the ceiling of 10-12 cm. This line is a guide for mounting the guides, which you want to check with the level.
  • Bearing parts need to be inserted into the profiles placed around the perimeter of the room, leaving the lumen for the possible deformation of the sheets during expansion.
  • Fixing of plasterboard sheets is performed along carrier profiles. Sheets are attached to the guides across the longitudinal structures. Thus, the ceiling is formed from one level.

Mounting drywall to ceiling without frame

In the case when the room has small sizes and the formation of the frame can significantly reduce it, it is possible to fix the plasterboard to the ceiling on the glue.

  • The surface should not have obvious irregularities, and should also be protected from moisture and freezing.
  • Before applying glue, it is important to clean the ceiling from dust, dirt and fat spots. If the ceiling was covered with a putty or primer, you need to wait for it to complete drying.
  • For the ceiling covering, which has significant irregularities, you can build a kind of drywall frame. You need to cut 10 cm wide strips, then paste them to the surface in the form of a mesh with square cells with the sides of about 50 cm. The process should be monitored using a level.
  • Cutting sheets of plasterboard is performed by a sharp knife. A cardboard layer is applied on one side, a sheet is premounced in the place of the end, after which the cut from the reverse side is performed.
  • Application of glue on the surface is performed by a special spatula with cloth.
  • Fixing the sheet on the wall is performed using the holder, after which it is necessary to check its horizontality using a level.
  • Bugs and other irregularities can be eliminated by climbing the surface with a hammer through a wooden bar.
  • The seams that are formed between the sheets of drywall should not be located crosswise, so it is necessary to perform stacking in a checker order.

Mounting drywall for construction foam

Another material, with which you can strengthen the sheets of plasterboard on the ceiling, is the mounting foam. Before performing such an attachment, it is necessary to level the surface and treat it with primer.

  • Before applying the composition you need to make several holes on the surface of the sheet.
  • On the back side, the strokes of the foam rubber needed to create the springs effect when aligning the structure should be glued.
  • Then the sheet is fastened with washers to the ceiling, leaving the cavity of about 10-15 cm.

Adjusting the sheet plane by the level, you can fill the foam cavity. After complete drying of the composition, you can unscrew the screws and screw the screws.

The finished surface should be coated with a layer of primer, close the seams with a reinforcing ribbon and coat the surface first, and after drying by the second layer of putty. After drying, you need to handle fine sandpaper.

To date, the use of plasterboard sheets in the repair in a cottage, a country house or apartment is the most faithful and economical solution. Through the established building material, it is possible to remove all the defects of the uneven surface without much difficulty, having received an even base for subsequent finishes. In order to figure out how to secure the plasterboard to the ceiling correctly, it will take to identify the features of this raw material and master the installation options.

The plasterboard plate includes a gypsum filler with various binding additives and facing layers of cardboard. The weight of one sheet ranges from 12 to 35 kg, depending on its thickness: 6 mm, 9 mm and 12.5 mm.

The widespread use of the presented material is due to a number of important advantages:

  • the surface of the ceiling will be perfectly smooth;
  • providing the possibilities of accommodation and subsequent hide communication systems;
  • ensuring heat and sound insulation;
  • use in different types of premises due to variety of types: classic, fire-resistant, moisture resistant and universal;
  • ease of installation;
  • implementation of complex designer projects for the creation of multi-level ceilings and unique lighting systems.

Preparatory work is an important step in any construction event and determine the entire course of further installation. They include:

  1. Selection of the necessary tools and fasteners - a construction level, a roulette, a drill with a perforator and a cross-shaped bat, an electric bissing or hacksaw with a small width of the canvas, a dowel-nail and self-tapping screw.
  2. Conducting ceiling markup. Given that in most cases the ceiling surface has some irregularities, the first event is to determine its lower boundary. For this purpose, through a roulette from each angle, the distance to the geepboard is measured. Having determined the lower point, it is worth fastening the guide bar or profile around the perimeter of the intended space.

The correct markup of the provisions of the guide elements is the key to the success of the subsequent installation. It is worth remembering that the procedure described above provides for the presence of aligned floor!

The ceiling in a wooden house can be easily stripped by drywall plates. This finish not only has aesthetic appearance, but also provides a natural microclimate indoor.

Currently, the following types of hardware fasteners are used to the wooden ceiling surface:

  • through adhesive compositions;
  • on wooden profile rails;

Adhesive Method of Montaja

Installation of plasterboard plates without a profile involves the use of special adhesive compositions and the presence of an ideally smooth covered surface. In most cases, a plaster mastery is used as a clutching mass, which includes bone glue and crumb of gypsum stone. The drawing of the mixture is to start from the edges of the sheet with small cakes with an interval of 30 cm from each other, gradually moving towards the center. After that, the stove is pressed on the prepared surface. To increase the adhesive properties, it will be useless to be a ceiling to be primed in advance.

Since drywall sheets have a considerable weight, in the version of the wooden ceiling finishes to reduce the pressure being created, the slab can be divided into two equal parts, which will largely simplify the installation procedure and the material will grab faster.

The presented design allows you to "hide" all the defects of the ceiling, heavily saving its height. Rack frame is appropriate to apply when erecting single-level surfaces. The main advantage of this method is its small cost. However, during its arrangement, a well-dried bar is required, otherwise the supporting elements will soon cover mold and deform.

Throughout the plane of the ceiling, we place the main timber with a step of 80 cm. After relative to it, at an angle of 90 °, the bearing partitions are at a distance of 50 cm, which will subsequently become the holding base for drywall.

Having finished with the installation of the frame, proceed to the mounting plates. Self-proof over the perimeter of the leaf is screwed up with an interval of 15 cm in a checker order so that the rod head is slightly rested in the material. Subsequently, these places are put off, and the whole surface acquires a smooth appearance.

When attaching drywall, leave the distance between the joints of about 5-7 mm. Subsequently, these gaps are easily close to putty, providing the best clutch of the entire plane.

The method of assembling the structure is approximately the same as during the arrangement of the wooden frame, however, there are a number of nuances. The guide profiles are fastened with a pitch of 40 cm, so that one classic plate with a length of 120 cm is fixed on four such metal slats.

Having completed with the arrangement of the guide grounds, proceed to fixing the suspended devices. Attach them to the ceiling with a dowel-nail at a distance of 40 cm from each other. Next, the carrier profile is attached, so that its ends are strictly on the guide rail at an angle of 90 °, and the body is in the suspension. Fastening of all framework elements with each other is carried out by special screws for metal.

In the course of the implementation of all installation work, the horizontal profiles must be checked by the level, and the locations of the intended load are intensified with jumpers or anchor fasteners.

The procedure for mounting plasterboard sheets provides for the use of two pairs of hands, however, to seize the ceiling alone, you will need to use additional retention devices. Some of such homemade devices are platform and backups.

This option provides for the manufacture of a small design from a pair of boards, hinges and supports. In the disclosed form, the height of the retractable platform must be 5-6 cm below the ceiling level.

In the manufacture, do not forget to consider that during this gap, along with the design also the width of the plasterboard sheet.

The process of lifting the plate is carried out in several stages. First, the first selection is exhibited to the height of the hand, then the main one. After that, we climb on the prepared forests and calmly secure drywall to the frame.

In conclusion, I would like to note that the fastening of plasterboard sheets to the equipped frame is the most reliable option for finishing, rather than the use of adhesive compositions, especially in a wooden house. Due to the fact that the buildings made of wood "live their lives" and are constantly in motion, then no one knows how to behave after some time the resulting adhesive base.

In the provided video materials, you can find out the subtleties of the manufacture of plasterboard ceiling, as well as how to fix plasterboard alone:

Schemes

In the schemes you can see some features of the attachment of plasterboard and frame to the ceiling:

Installation of plasterboard on the ceiling is one of the most time-consuming types of finishing works. Therefore, in order to eliminate errors and minimize the costs of materials and time, you should carefully make the ceiling markup, prepare the necessary tools and materials. Immediately before installing drywall to the ceiling, it is once again to check, because in the process of installation, the errors allowed or very difficult, or not at all possible.

Installation of plasterboard ceiling is one of the most time-consuming processes.

Options for performing a carrier frame

Working with plasterboard plates implies three plates for base mounts to base:

  • with the help of adhesive compositions;
  • on wooden frame;
  • on a metal profile.

Each methods have its own advantages, but is suitable only for certain conditions.

Installation with the help of glue, the least reduces the height of the room, but requires the ceiling surface to have high strength and evenness. With the help of glue, irregularities are eliminated not more than 1 - 1.5 cm. On the plastered ceilings, mounted slabs with a glue method, since GLC has a decent weight and is able to break down with the plaster. Also, with this installation it is impossible to install point lights.

Wooden frame for fastening drywall to the ceiling is suitable only in rooms with a small area and a constant temperature and low humidity. Wood varies very much of linear dimensions in fluctuations in temperature and humidity, therefore, with a large probability, the mounted ceiling will be covered with cracks.

Frames are best made from metal profiles - this is a lighter material with which multi-level plasterboard ceilings can be made.

It is much better to attach plasterboard to the ceiling with the use of special metal profiles that allow you to arrange multi-level surfaces at any height from overlap. Strength, ease and simplicity of fastenings are outputting a metal profile on leading positions among materials for carrying carcases.

Materials and tools

The main material in the device of the ceilings - the ceiling drywall with a thickness of 9.5 mm. Thicker has a lot of weight, and thin - arched, small thickness. And the same, and other require the installation of additional profiles to reduce the load on the frame or reduce the likelihood of the deflection.

Such materials will be needed:

  • pNP or UD guide profile of 27 × 28 mm sizes;
  • carrier profile of PP or CD sizes of 7 × 60 mm;
  • suspensions for fastening support profiles to the ceiling (butterflies);
  • dowels or self-tapping screws for mounting the UD profile to the wall and suspensions to the ceiling (depending on the design of walls and ceilings);
  • cross-shaped connectors for docking transverse support profiles or to build a profile with a large room length;
  • self-tapping screws to connect profiles among themselves, attachment to suspensions or crabs (so-called bugs or fleas);
  • self-tapping screws for attaching GLC to a frame 20 - 25 mm long.

Tools and fixtures will also need quite a lot:

  • screwdriver or drill with speed adjustment to fasten the plasterboard to the ceiling;
  • perfederator or shock drill for drilling holes under the dowel;
  • water or laser level;
  • marking cord;
  • stepladder or landing;
  • backups to hold slabs during installation;
  • cruciform screwdriver;
  • scissors for metal cutting profiles;
  • long cord to control the mechanism of installation of carrier profiles.

Marking and installation of the carrier frame

Marking under the fastening of the frame begins with determining the level of installation of the guide profiles. To do this, on the walls, starting from any angle with the help of a water or laser level, transfer marks to the remaining angles. Then, with a marking cord, the control line is discouched throughout the perimeter.

Performing calculations and drawings One of the most important points when installing a ceiling of hypostertone, having allowed the slightest oversight, you can spoil the entire end result.

If the installation of point lamps is not supposed and it is required to reduce the height of the room at a minimum, then the support profiles can be mounted at a distance of about 30 mm from the lower point of the ceiling. Most of the tips are reduced to finding this lower point and transfer it to the nearest wall and from it to be repelled. But nowhere does not say how to do it.

It is much easier to note around the perimeter temporary horizontal at a distance of 20 - 25 cm from the ceiling. By pulling the cord between any dots on the opposite walls, you can quickly find the lower ceiling level and transfer the time horizontal to any value.

For fastening the suspensions, you also need to put markup. Here it is necessary to proceed from the size of the plates and the width of the walls. It may happen that it will be necessary to fix the sheet strip width of less than 20 - 25 cm. So do it undesirable. It is better to cut the sheets of plasterboard symmetrically from the opposite walls with the condition that the minimum width of the attached band was at least 25 cm.

The position of profiles relative to the plates can be different. The most practical laying of sheets so that carrier profiles passed across GLC at a distance of 50 cm (for sheets of 2.5 m long).

Between the laid profiles, jumpers are installed at a distance of half of the width of GLC. The jumper connection is performed using crabs.

Installation of plasterboard plates

Attaching the slabs to the frame is better to perform together, however, if there are backups and some experience, you can do it alone.

The stoves are stacked so that the edges followed the middle of the profile and the gap of 3- 4 mm remained between adjacent plates. In the neighboring rows, the sheets are placed to make the seams not to be on the same line. Along the long sides of GLCs usually goes chamfer or thinning for the convenience of seaming seams. For the same purpose, on the ends, you also need to remove the champions with a special plane or mounting knife. The chamfer is removed while the plates are not yet fixed.

To engage in plasterboard ceiling can be one person - using the backups, but in case you do it for the first time - we advise you to do this with someone's help.

The attachment of the GLC to the ceiling is performed using self-samples with a step of no more than 155 mm. From the edge of the leaf, the screws must be at a distance of 20 mm. Self-tapping heads must be completely recessed into the surface, but at the same time should not break through the paper layer. If this happened, then the self-sufficiency should be screwed into another, intact place. To avoid marriage in work, you should not use a screwdriver at maximum speed. An experimental way to establish the necessary effort of the friction clutch, and it is better to use a nozzle with a special skirt that does not allow to deepen the self-samples above a certain value. The protrusions from the nozzle must be even, without work out. Otherwise, the self-tapping screw will be kept loose and often break.

Be sure to fasten the plasterboard on the ceiling, it is necessary to check the correctness of the electrical wiring and mark the places where the lamps will be installed in the future.

Common mistakes

The most common error during installation of drywall is incorrect calculations and markup, when a plot of several centimeters wide remains.

Second error - fastening sheets directly to the guide profile. First, the fastening is obtained along the very edge of the sheet, where it will be sharpened, secondly, the rigid clutch of the ceiling with partitions and walls can lead to cracks when the temperature drops. Fix GLCs better to profiles that are laid in close proximity to the guides.
