The authorities, environmentalists and a huge number of other specialists are constantly looking for an opportunity to solve this problem, or one might even say "disaster". I decided to join them too. If something is lying underfoot, then no one needs it anymore. Therefore, if you make something useful from PET bottles, they will disappear from under your feet very soon. I make a transparent roof slate from plastic bottles. Mine differs from the traditional industrial method, which is very complex, energy-intensive and expensive, in its simplicity and availability.
In empty bottles, I cut out the cylindrical part. The resulting cylinders, I cut vertically into 2-3 (or even more, depending on the displacement of the bottles), plates.
The plates are fastened together in longitudinal intermediate rows, i.e. I connect together along the length.

And now he has made a prototype of a universal cutter with a smoothly and precisely variable PET tape width. The concept is very simple - use a bolt and smoothly change the width of the tape. I used a metric M6 bolt with a thread pitch of 1mm, so a full nut turn is 1mm on the tape. The blade itself is perpendicular to the cut, abuts against the thread.
