Do-it-yourself phone stand made of plastic. All options for creating a smartphone stand from a plastic card

You can make a small phone stand with your own hands using the simplest materials. Our small master class will help you with your work. Handmade things bring warmth and comfort to your home.

It's easy to make such a funny cat-phone stand in one evening. To do this, we need fabric from old jeans for finishing the cup, denim or any other fabric for the head, legs and tail.

For work you will need:

  1. Denim (stripes of different colors).
  2. A piece of bright fabric for a scarf.
  3. A little padding polyester or cotton wool for the paws, tail and head.
  4. A glass of cotton swabs.
  5. Bottom cardboard.
  6. 4 buttons.
  7. Pencil, scissors, needle.

Getting started:

Take a piece of paper and draw a pattern by hand. It's pretty simple, even if you can't draw. You can do the head like this: circle the bottom of your cotton swab cup and step back slightly from the edge. You get the head of a cat. Cut out a paper pattern. We will cut on it:

  • Head (with ears) - 2 parts,
  • paw-hand - 4 parts,
  • paw-leg - 4 parts,
  • tail - 2 parts.

We select materials:

You need to take such a box for work, it just fits perfectly in size:

Next, we will make the bottoms for our stand. In this glass from under the chopsticks, the diameter of the bottom is 8 cm. You may have a different one. For the outer bottom, cut out a larger circle of cardboard, and for the inner one, 0.5 cm less than the bottom of the glass from under the sticks. Cut out a circle with a diameter of 7.5 cm from denim.Wash with a thread along the edge, put in cardboard and tighten the thread. The second circle is 1.5 cm larger, cut out of denim.

For the inside of the stand, take a suitable fabric measuring 12 cm (glass height + 2 cm allowances on each side) * 27 cm (circumference + 1 cm allowances). Sew the fabric along the short side. Cut the allowances at the bottom of the resulting lining in several places. We put the inner lining in the cup, distribute the notched allowances so that there are no large folds. You can drip some glue so that the lining does not "walk".

Turn the upper allowance onto the outer side of the stand. We also fix it by dropping it in a circle with glue. If there is no glue available, use scotch tape. Then we have to shape the cat's belly. For the top and bottom, trims from the legs work well. Lay out the strips and pin them together.

Sew all pieces along the short side. We put on our stand everything that we have sewn. On top of the cup we sew the lining and the top of the product with a blind seam. Then we sew on a large bottom. Make sure that it does not protrude beyond the diameter of the glass. If the bottom is large, trim off the excess cardboard.

We put the pattern of the cat on the fabric from which you decided to sew it. Cut out a paper pattern and attach it to the fabric with pins. Cut out by adding a seam allowance of 0.5 cm.

We embroider the cat's face the way you like. You can sew on beads or buttons instead of eyes.

Sew the paws, tail and head, leaving small gaps in the seams for padding with padding polyester. We turn out the details of the head, paws, and tail. We fill the blanks with padding polyester or cotton wool.

Sew the paws, head and tail to the stand. The paws are sewn on at the top and secured with buttons.

Sew pieces of denim on the tail.

We tie a bright bow on our cat's neck, you can put a sewn mouse or a fish in its paws. If you want to give a product, then a souvenir, for example, a smoking pipe.

Our small master class will tell you how to make a cute and original phone stand out of paper. The stand can be made from the base: a cardboard ring left over from the scotch tape, an empty round box for chips, salt, coffee, or a glass of cotton swabs.

How often, while at home, in the office or on the road, we cannot remember where we put our phone. To prevent this from happening, you should get comfortable and ergonomic stands that you can make yourself. A phone stand can be made with your own hands from the most unexpected materials at hand. Our step-by-step master class will tell you how to do this.

How to make a do-it-yourself phone stand: options for the office and auto

Whether in the workplace or in the car, we all need to always be in touch. At the same time, I do not want to spend a lot of money on expensive coasters, because they can be made from waste and worn-out materials.

Card stand.

The simplest version of a phone holder is a card stand. To make it, you need to carefully bend an unnecessary plastic card in two places, as shown in the photo below, without allowing it to break.

Experience shows that a plastic card holder is very reliable and can even withstand air travel in times of strong turbulence.

Stand made of stationery clips.

To make a phone stand from stationery clips or binders, as they are also called, you need one large and one small clip. The legs of the small clamp should be placed between the holding part of the large clamp and the resulting structure should be placed on the table so that the larger clamp rests on its surface.

Similar coasters can be made from clothespins in five minutes.

Paper clips make a great option for a car stand. To make it, you need to disassemble a large clamp and slightly bend the metal parts, as shown in the photo below.

In order not to damage the surface of the phone, it is recommended to wrap metal fasteners with threads in several layers. We return the holders to their place, additionally secure them with adhesive tape and clerical elastic band. We attach the clamp to the ventilation louvers. The phone is securely fastened between the metal parts of the binder.

Paper stand.

Plain office paper folded in a certain way can even support the weight of a large smartphone. To make a paper stand, you need to measure the dimensions of the phone and adjust the pattern below to fit them.

Cut the piece out of paper, fold it along the dotted lines and insert the side pieces into the slots. The good thing about this design is that it allows you to charge your phone without removing it from the cradle.

We study popular options for coasters for home comfort

A desk phone stand for a home should not only be comfortable, but also durable, stylish and fit well into the interior of your home. Consider the options for such products.

Stand made of newspaper tubes.

This phone stand made of newspaper tubes will be a wonderful gift and a great decoration for any interior.

To weave such a stand, you will need several long dyed newspaper tubes, scissors, knitting needles, a little glue and varnish.

We place six blanks parallel to each other at a distance of about 1-1.5 cm and firmly fix them in the machine or in any convenient way. We put knitting needles or wire into the extreme racks, so that it is more convenient to form even and neat contours of the product. We begin to braid the base with a working tube using the "string" technique or with chintz weaving. We monitor the parallelism of the rows and, if necessary, coat them with glue for better fixation.

We braid a rectangular blank of the required length. We take out the knitting needles or wire. We carefully fill and cut the ends of the posts. We give the workpiece the necessary curved shape, if necessary, slightly moistening it with water.

Likewise, weave the leg of the stand on a smaller number of tubes. We bend the finished leg, install it on the main part and fix its racks between the rows of the stand. We cut off and hide the excess. We coat the product with glue, if desired, paint it additionally and cover it with 1-2 layers of varnish. After complete drying, the stand can be used for its intended purpose.

A stand made of origami modules.

Modular origami is a fairly young, but very popular type of needlework. With its help, you can make many unusual and original gizmos, including a phone stand from modules.

To make the stand, you need blue and pink double-sided paper. We cut the sheets into blanks and fold the modules.

We start weaving from the base of the stand. It requires 28 blue modules, which must be connected together and closed in a ring. In the same way, we make out three more rows. From the fifth row, we reduce the number of modules by 1, 2, 3, 4 pieces. In the seventh row, put one pink module in the middle.

In the eighth row we put 6 modules, make a pass, another 10 modules, a pass, 6 modules. The number of pink modules is 2 pieces. In the next row, on the pink area, we put three pink modules. We begin to design the curly edging of the stand, as shown in the photo below.

In the back part, we form a pattern in the form of a heart, above which we install a row of blue modules. Tighten the stand gradually until a triangular wedge forms at the back of the stand.

The module stand is ready!

Proposed for construction, a phone stand for a car will be extremely useful for drivers who often use a phone. She will solve problems with finding a phone during a trip. Thanks to the simple and reliable design, the work does not take long.

Step 1. Tools.

To create a rack you will need:
1. Aluminum tube with a diameter of 47 mm "f. 4";
2. Connecting angled pipes in 45 ° and 90 ° (aluminum or copper). They are cheap and sold in any hardware store.

3. Solid wooden sticks (you can take sticks from ice cream);
4. Epoxy glue or any other glue with similar qualities;
5. Phone case or case;
6. Cable ties (they will be needed to secure the cover);
7. Hacksaw;
8. Ruler;
9. Knife.

Step 2. Assembling the frame.
Before starting work, you should decide on the location of the telephone rack. It should not interfere with the use of the audio system, recharging and other daily activities in the car. Only then can you start measuring.

The aluminum tube needs to be cut into 3 pieces. The shortest part is attached to the 45 ° elbow tube. The horizontal part (about 5 cm) connects the corner tubes at 90 ° and 45 ° "f.2.1 - 2.2". A vertical tube (approximately 10-13 cm) will support the stand itself. All pipe connections must be greased with glue so that nothing falls off during movement.

Step 3. Attaching the cover.
On the back side of the cover we make 3 pairs of cuts (the depth of the cut should correspond to the ends of the ties). The incisions are parallel to the tube, which will subsequently be attached to the sheath. We pass the ties through the holes and tighten them a little (the main thing is not to overdo it). We tighten the long tube of the frame with ties as shown in the photo. Cut off the ends if they are too long.

Next, you need to cut the wooden sticks in half, insert between the cover and the aluminum tube and grease with glue.

If you have accumulated unnecessary bank or discount cards, do not rush to throw them away, because they can be used to make useful things - stands for smartphones with different designs. We have collected several design options, including quite sophisticated ones.

The first stand is the simplest. It can be done by simply folding the card in two places so that you get something like this:

You can make three bends and get a structure that more reliably holds the base of the smartphone.

To prevent the card from breaking and losing its strength at the bending points, it is better to bend it after preheating it with a hairdryer. The plastic will gain increased elasticity for a while, and then harden again.

To create this structure, you need to make cutouts on the map on both sides, forming hooks, and bend it in half. Sharp rags at the incision sites need to be grinded off, this can be done with a file or sandpaper, and if they are not there, with a nail file or a clerical knife.

For such a delivery, you will need two cards glued together. This provides additional stability - you can put your smartphone on it not only horizontally, but also vertically.

Two cutouts on the card - and such a stand is ready. For greater stability, you can use two cards - one will be mounted on the left side of the smartphone, the other on the right. The second card can be cut out by putting the first on it, so they will be completely symmetrical and the smartphone will not warp.

The Chinese are releasing such a stand. In terms of its size, it is exactly the same as a bank card, which means that you can make it yourself. To do this, you will need to make several cuts on the card using a highly heated knife and build the same structure by bending the lower holder, the back for fixing and the base of the card. The advantage of this stand is the ability to adjust the angle of inclination.

Mobile communication devices are in every home, they have become almost indispensable for a modern person and perform a lot of functions. Therefore, quite often you need to keep them not in your pocket, but on your desktop, so a smartphone stand is a must for everyone. There are many ways on how to make a phone stand, but one of the best options is of course wood, since, despite its hardness, it will not scratch the smartphone and will look good both in the office and at home on the table.

The easiest way to make a do-it-yourself phone stand out of wood is to just make it out of a regular plank. The design of such a product is as simple as possible - a groove of the required width is made in the board and the stand is ready. Since the board has a large plane, and after you put the mobile in the slot, it will stand firmly and securely on the table.

The most important thing about this wooden phone stand is the area of the base that will be in contact with the table, it must be large enough to cope with the functional load. As a basis, such a homemade phone stand can be of any wood and can be shaped into any shape. And the manufacturing process itself is limited by the fact that a groove is simply made in the board with the help of a router. The groove can be made even or at a slope, depending on the angle at which the device should be.

When you make a smartphone stand with your own hands, it is important to grind it well, especially in the area of the groove where the mobile will stand. After all, if there are irregularities, then you can scratch the glass, and this will ruin the appearance of your gadget.

Complex construction

If you want your mobile device to be always in sight, not to get lost in the documents and at the same time your table looks beautiful, solid, then the stand must be appropriate. To do this, you can make it not just from a board, but from several parts. Don't worry, you don't need a lot of tools or material for this either. The most important thing is not to rush and carefully think over the design that your homemade product will have.

A good stand for a smartphone with your own hands, which is suitable not only for any phone, but also for a tablet, and at the same time will be as stable as possible, can be made from two small boards.

The design of such a stand is as simple as possible, two identical rectangular wooden blanks are taken. On the one hand, about a quarter from the edge, a cut is made to the middle of the board. It is important that the slot does not run at a right angle, but obliquely so that the stand is more stable and has the correct inclination of the plane that will support the phone. On both blanks, a slot is made up to half the width of the blank.

For someone just getting started, it can be challenging to find the right angle for the slot. But this is not difficult to do, it is enough just to attach two parts to one another at the planned angle and just make marks on the side at the end. Well, besides that, so that the phone does not slip, you need to make a groove on the horizontal plate, or stick a small bar that will be a stopper.

After all the slots are ready, it is enough to simply grind the stand well so that the irregularities do not scratch the phone case, and cover it with tint or just varnish.

There are many ways to make a stand for a phone of this design, for example, you can make a curly vertical part of the stand, which will greatly improve its appearance. Shapes can be a wide variety of hand, leaf, animals, and in general whatever you come up with, since the tree can be given almost any shape.

How to choose a stand design

There are quite a few ways on how to make a smartphone stand, but wood options differ not only in durability, but also in their beautiful appearance. In addition, they also look much more noble than other materials, since a properly selected wooden accessory will adorn any design, regardless of its style.

Therefore, to make your hand-made mobile phone stand beautiful and original, try to choose the right design, size and color. Of course, do not forget about such parameters as functionality and stability, since if the cell is dropped, it can simply be damaged.

You can make a variety of phone accessories at home and you don't need to have a special tool for that. In most cases, with due diligence and patience, you can do with a simple hacksaw, chisel, sandpaper and a piece of plywood. Then just glue your sample from small pieces and at home it will also be easy.

Do not be afraid to experiment and fantasize so that the stand you make is unique, and not like everyone else's. After all, mass production is organized in such a way that anyone can afford to buy beautiful and seemingly diverse things. But really bright individuals prefer unique things in a single copy. Such things are not sold in stores, they can only be ordered or made by yourself. The second option is much better, not only in terms of economy, but also in terms of individuality.

Even if you do not have experience in making any wood crafts, you should not be upset, as there is nothing difficult about it. It is enough to carefully plan everything, calculate what tools and materials will be needed and only after that start the work itself. If something doesn't work out for you, then you can try again, rarely anyone succeeds in doing everything right the first time, everyone learns and everyone makes mistakes. But this is the only way to gain experience and learn how to do everything right.
