We will describe how to cook turmeric with milk and honey at night, as well as what benefits and harm this product brings to the human body. And although many recipes of traditional medicine claim to be superior in efficiency, this drink is not without reason called "golden milk". After all, its properties are truly unique and priceless!

The recipe for a healing remedy came to us from the East, or rather, from Ayurvedic practices. Residents of India and other countries of the eastern region have used this exotic spice for centuries in cooking and even in cosmetology. But it turned out to be no less valuable in the treatment of many diseases, which was noticed by local doctors. With her help, they restored the strength and health of their wards. Today it is time to use the accumulated experience and the people of the Western world.

The healing properties of "golden milk"

Turmeric has long been considered a very healthy product. This spice is added to various dishes during cooking, to skin care products, and also make medicinal ointments and other medicines on its basis. In combination with honey and milk, it significantly enhances its beneficial effect and eliminates the symptoms of many diseases.

Turmeric itself is a very valuable product. As we all know from childhood, milk also has very useful properties, it is not for nothing that it is used to feed children, weakened patients after operations and often make medicinal products from traditional medicine on its basis.

If we talk about honey, then it contains a whole complex of vitamins and microelements that can restore the functionality of almost every system in the human body and increase the body's immune defenses.

It is not surprising that when these products are combined, such a powerful remedy for a variety of diseases and symptoms is obtained. It should be taken by children and adults, since the benefits of turmeric in such a symbiosis have been proven by the experience of oriental healers and modern scientists.

Old recipes

Our people have long known the healing effect of warm milk with honey at night. To do this, you just need to mix the necessary ingredients and you get a delicious medicinal drink. We will now describe how to prepare a medicinal product with the addition of turmeric.

The classic version involves the initial creation of a special paste. Take 50 g of chopped spice, 0.5 tsp. black pepper and pour them with 100 ml of boiled water. Stir the mixture evenly, simmer for about 8 minutes over low heat, until the composition thickens. If it turns out to be too viscous, you can add more water, and when, on the contrary, it is not brought to the desired consistency in the allotted period, you should add more powder.

Then the paste is cooled and then transferred to a glass container. They are stored in the refrigerator and each time they take as much as is required to prepare a fresh healing drink. You can use this tool for 30-40 days, then you should prepare a new portion if necessary. Usually, this composition is enough for a wellness course.

To create a healing drink, you need to take 200 ml of cow's milk, although any other will do - goat, almond, soy, coconut, etc. It is heated to a boil and cooled. When the liquid is at an acceptable temperature, add 1 tsp. finished pasta, 1 tsp. vegetable oil (sunflower, sesame, almond, coconut or clarified ghee) and a spoonful of honey.

After mixing the ingredients, you need to drink the drink at a time or divide it into several receptions.

Please note that in this recipe, peppers and fats help to significantly enhance the healing properties of turmeric. Although it is possible to prepare the product without adding them, the effect will then be weak. For a more pleasant taste, sometimes sweet syrup is added.

For various health conditions, you can use other similar cooking methods:

  1. If you have a cough or a sore throat, you need на st. add boiled water ½ tsp. turmeric powder and 1 tsp. chopped ginger. The ingredients are thoroughly mixed and diluted in a glass of milk, brought to a boil. Strain before use. When the drink has cooled, you can add honey for sweetness or sugar to it. For greater effectiveness, this remedy is recommended to be used at night before bedtime and then wrapped in a blanket.
  2. The following composition has a similar effect. A glass of milk is heated with sugar. Then separately fry ½ tsp. seeds of carom until golden brown and add turmeric powder to them on the tip of a spoon, mix and fry a little more. The processed spices are then placed in warm milk and drunk immediately after preparation.
  3. In case of sleep disturbance, it is enough to drink a heated drink half an hour before going to bed, in which a pinch of turmeric has been stirred.
  4. Even diarrhea can be cured with this oriental herb. To do this, you need to take not a powder, but a piece of the root (about 2 cm) of the plant and heat it over low heat in 250 ml of milk for no longer than 15 minutes. Filter the product before use. It is important to take a non-fat drink so as not to aggravate your stomach condition.

Depending on your taste preferences, you can add other spices to the recipe - saffron, cardamom, hot pepper, etc.

How to take it right?

Obviously, in order to get the maximum benefit from each remedy, it is necessary, even in the case of applying the knowledge of traditional medicine, to competently approach the preparation process and the choice of the amount of drink consumed.

To do this, we will describe several important rules:

  • Turmeric itself should be purchased only of high quality and natural. If the seller is not concerned with keeping the spice neat and tidy, it is best to look elsewhere.
  • Milk and butter can be different, depending on your preference - goat, almond, coconut, etc.
  • It is not necessary to add pepper, but its presence in the composition of the healing mixture significantly enhances its beneficial properties. The fact is that turmeric itself is too difficult for the human body to absorb. And pepper contains such an active substance as piperine. It increases the bioavailability of the seasoning, thereby unlocking its full medicinal potential. A good amount of pepper can be calculated based on your taste.
  • Start with a small dose. Dissolve only ки tablespoons of paste in milk, and only in the absence of side effects (bloating, diarrhea, other discomfort), you can gradually increase the amount of the mixture. Although it is recommended to consume only a glass of "golden milk" a day, some people feel much better with more of the healing drink. This dose should be selected individually based on personal feelings, general well-being.
  • For the treatment of most diseases, it is enough to drink 1 glass of "golden milk" per day. Some recommend doing this at night, others in the morning. You can choose such a mode when it is more convenient for you. But if you drink the drink in the evening, then it will help you calm down and fall asleep faster, which adds value to it.
  • For a general improvement in well-being, it is advisable to take a course using such a recipe twice a year for 30-40 days in a row. But if you decide to take turmeric with milk in order to eliminate any symptom, then you can do it periodically, when there is a need.
  • Remember that you need to add honey to the drink only when its temperature is below 50 degrees! Otherwise, the benefits will turn into health problems. The fact is that when a bee product is heated, it begins to release carcinogenic substances. Therefore, it can only be used warm or cold.

Contraindications

After reading the information and reviews about such a useful product, you might think that it is advisable to drink it for everyone. In fact, like any other prescription and medicine, Golden Milk has its drawbacks. Therefore, you should avoid using it in such cases:

  1. During pregnancy and breastfeeding, as turmeric increases the tone of the uterus, which can cause premature birth in the last trimester or early miscarriage.
  2. When taking any drugs that thin the blood, as this seasoning has a similar effect and, if consumed excessively, can cause internal bleeding.
  3. In preparation for surgery (for the same reason).
  4. If the patient has gastritis or an ulcer.
  5. The presence of stones in the gallbladder, blockage of the bile ducts.
  6. Kidney disease.
  7. An allergic reaction to any of the components of the product, as well as with lactose intolerance.
  8. If there is bleeding.
  9. With gout.
  10. In the case of using drugs that lower blood pressure, as the effect will increase.
  11. Child's age up to one year.

Video: milk, honey, turmeric at night.

Today you will not surprise anyone with exotic turmeric. It is present in the famous curry seasoning and gives dishes an incredibly attractive yellow hue. And more recently, the spice itself was literally golden - it cost so much that outside India only very wealthy people could afford to enjoy it.

Fortunately, times have changed, and we can make "golden milk" from turmeric every day. What is it, and why should we be glad about the availability of an unfamiliar medium? Let's figure it out.

Secrets of a useful duo

Turmeric has been used in India for a long time and almost everywhere; it is added to almost all dishes. They make it from the rhizomes of the plant of the same name belonging to the Ginger family, grind them into a fine powder, after which the spice is ready for use.

It is noteworthy that turmeric is one of the very actively used means of the famous Ayurvedic medicine, which has a long history and is still actively practiced not only in India, but also far beyond its borders. Its properties are diverse:

  • it helps to cope with headaches;
  • actively resists colds;
  • soothes inflammation, disinfects;
  • bears the title of natural aspirin;
  • relieves edema;
  • heals wounds;
  • eliminates pain.

Since milk is also an extremely valuable product, it is natural that their duo can give a person a lot.

It is interesting! The product is called "golden milk" not only because of its bright yellow color. Comparison with the precious metal shows how important its role is for humans.

What to expect from turmeric “golden milk”:

  • strengthening joints and bones, and in parallel, the remedy heals and significantly reduces pain in these parts of the body;
  • getting rid of colds and parallel strengthening of immunity;
  • improving the functioning of the digestive system;
  • cleansing the liver and, accordingly, blood;
  • normalization of pressure;
  • removing harmful substances from the body and even protecting against cancer;
  • sound sleep and nerves;
  • with regular use of the drug, a person receives protection from Alzheimer's disease and senile dementia;
  • overweight fighters will appreciate how quickly he begins to leave;
  • women will especially like the effect on the condition of their skin: even color, amazing elasticity, no annoying pimples and age spots.

It is noteworthy that both ancient and modern healers actively used turmeric to relieve menstrual pain and facilitate the process of giving birth to babies.

As you can see, the milk is really golden.

Classic version

The recipe for "Golden Milk" from turmeric is quite long and demanding, but there is nothing complicated about it. It is based on spice paste, which is what you need to make for a start.

For this you need:

  • half a cup of turmeric;
  • a teaspoon of ground red pepper (if for some reason you cannot eat spicy, reduce the amount, but do not refuse at all);
  • glass of water.

All of the above must be thoroughly mixed, put on fire and boiled for 10 minutes. Remember to stir, because the product will tend to stick to the bottom.

Next, the mass must be cooled and sent to the refrigerator. It should be kept in a closed container and no longer than a month, so calculate how much paste you need for this time and cook this amount right away.

The process does not end there, then the stage of creating a duet with milk follows. The Golden Milk Turmeric recipe involves the use of additional ingredients. As we said, nothing complicated, but you need to try.

So, one glass of milk will take you (in teaspoons):

  • one paste;
  • one oil;
  • honey - as much as you like.

Especially popular is the “Golden Milk” recipe with almond oil. This ingredient is very useful in itself, and in combination with the rest it gives the body health and beauty. First, bring the milk with the paste dissolved in it to a boil, then cool it a little, add butter and honey. It is important not to put honey in hot liquid - this will destroy all its usefulness.

Important! When drinking "golden milk", one must not forget about the cornerstone - regularity. You should drink it every day. Some doctors advise doing this in the morning, others in the evening. In any case, the course of treatment is 40 days, after which you need a break of six months and another call.

For sore throat and cough

When preparing the pasta, another ingredient is added to it - a teaspoon of ginger. It is best to drink the remedy before going to bed, and in the morning to enjoy the given relief.

Suffering from insomnia

Sleep can be improved without much preparation. A glass of milk and half a teaspoon of spices will be enough here. Heat the first one (if you boil it, let it cool) and add the second one. Drink half an hour - an hour before bedtime.

For perfect skin

To always look great, “golden milk” can not only be drunk. Wipe your skin with it, periodically make masks and be sure to treat any redness - they will heal very quickly and will no longer bother you.

"Golden milk" from turmeric, a recipe (its benefits and harms are incommensurable, but still we must take into account the possibility of the second) which we are considering, should be taken very carefully, preferably under medical supervision, especially if you have any health problems ... In principle, in the absence of intolerance to any (or any) of the components, it is safe enough, but too much quantity can go sideways. How to tell if something is going wrong:

  • you have problems with the gastrointestinal tract;
  • a blood test shows high cholesterol or low sugar;
  • low pressure;
  • you get sick often.

All these are alarming signals and a reason to reconsider the amount of the drug taken or even take a break.

Contraindications

Before starting any treatment or prophylaxis, we strongly recommend that you consult a doctor for recommendations, but it will also be useful for yourself to know when you should abandon the "golden milk", these are:

  • the presence of any chronic diseases, especially when it comes to problems with the organs of the gastrointestinal tract. Turmeric is dangerous for ulcers, gastritis, pancreatitis;
  • stones in the gallbladder;
  • undergoing medical treatment;
  • frequent bleeding and poorly healing wounds.

Even if you are perfectly healthy, this is not a reason to ignore the recommendations and break the rules of use. Health is too fragile.

Important! Turmeric is a powerful spice. It promotes blood thinning, in addition, enhances the effect on the body of various drugs. If you have surgery, you must stop using it at least three weeks before it.

Pregnant women and nursing mothers should be careful with turmeric. It is believed that the spice should be abandoned only in the first months, but in fact it is better to consult a doctor and not risk it. If you literally can't live without a fragrant spice, just keep adding it to your dishes - it won't cause negative reactions as it is. Do not give turmeric to young children.

Golden Milk with Turmeric is not just a trendy drink, but a legendary Ayurvedic remedy! It is a drink with powerful anti-inflammatory, cleansing, antioxidant and soothing properties that easily boosts immunity and normalizes weight.

How to make turmeric golden milk

First of all you need to prepare turmeric pastewhich can be kept in the refrigerator for up to 4 weeks and used as needed (I add it to rice, vegetables, soup, pasta, omelette, yogurt, and of course this golden milk ... yes, in general - everywhere!))

And only then mix it with hot milk, butter and honey.

Turmeric paste for golden milk

● ¼ Art. turmeric powder
● ½ st. water
● ¼ tsp. black pepper

Mix all ingredients in a saucepan and place on the stove. Bring to a boil over low heat, then simmer for 6-8 minutes. Remove from heat, allow to cool and transfer to a clean jar. Store in refrigerator for up to 4 weeks.

Turmeric milk recipe

● 1 tbsp. milk (cow, goat, soy, almond)
● 1 tsp. turmeric paste (see recipe above)
● 1 tsp. oils (coconut, almond, olive, sunflower)
● 1-2 tbsp. honey (to taste)

Making golden milk is easy. In hot milk (you can take any of the above - the main thing is not boiling, but slightly cooled down, so as not to neutralize the effect of honey) add turmeric paste, butter and honey, and mix. It will immediately become an intense yellow-orange color, which is where the name came from)).

You can add ½ tsp. cinnamon, ginger and vanilla - all to your taste) But it certainly won't be superfluous, because each spice is useful in its own way.

This golden milk can be drunk every day at any time of the day. But if you are worried about internal anxiety or insomnia, then drink it right before bed. A sweet dream is guaranteed !!!

Have you tried drinking this milk with turmeric? How did it help you (and it can really help - such a strong effect)?
