What scientists talk about religion. Is God exist? Who actually created the life and people? axioms proving the existence of God

Nikolay Copernicus (1473-1543)

Polish astronomer, the creator of the first mathematically substantiated model of the Heliocentric system of the world. He studied in several universities in Europe. Nikolai Copernicus did not think that his system contradicts the Bible. In 1533, Papa, Roman Clement VII, got acquainted with his theory, approved it and convinced the scientist to prepare work for publication. Copernicus was never under the fear of religious persecution, except Pope, the Catholic Bishop of Tideman Giza, Cardinal Schonberg and Protestant Professor Georg Retik, also asked to publish a description of the heliocentric model.

Sir Francis Bacon (1561-1627).

Bacon - a philosopher, which is known for marked the research method based on experimentation and inductive reasoning. AT " De Interpretation Naturae Prooemium"He defined his goals: the knowledge of the truth, serving his country and the ministry of the church. Although in his writings, he focused on an experimental approach and reasoning, he rejected atheism as a phenomenon that arose as a result of the insufficient depth of philosophical knowledge, stating: "It is true that the shallow knowledge in philosophy tip the human mind to atheism, but the depth in philosophy brings him to religion; If the human mind appeals to the dispared secondary factors, he can stop on them and stop moving on; If he traces the common between them, their relationship, he will come to the need for providence and deities "( "About atheism").

Joanns Kepler (1571-1630).

Kepler is an outstanding mathematician and astronomer. From an early age, he was engaged in light and installed the laws of movement of the planets around the sun. He also approached the nomination of the Newton concept of the World Health - Long before the birth of Newton! The idea of force introduced by them in astronomy radically changed it in a modern presentation. Kepler was highly sincere and pious Lutheran, whose work on astronomy contained descriptions of how cosmos and celestial bodies displays the trinity. Kepler did not suffer from persecution for his discovery of a generally recognized heliocentric system, and he even allowed to remain a professor (1595-1600) in a Catholic Graz, when the remaining Protestants were evicted.

Galileo Galilee (1564-1642)
Italian physicist, mechanic, astronomer, philosopher and mathematician, founder of experimental physics and classical mechanics. The conflict of scientist with the Roman Catholic Church remembers quite often. His work "dialogues", in which the device of the solar system is discussed, was published in 1632 and made a lot of noise. He did not contain evidence of the heliocentric system of the world, but exposed criticism to the generally accepted Ptolemy's system in favor of the Copernicus system. The conflict arose due to the fact that in the "dialogues" of Galilee invested in the mouth of one of the heroes, the simpler simplicity, the arguments that the Pope of Roman Urban VIII loved to use, an old friend Galileo. Dad was insulting and forgiven Galilean such a trick. After the "trial" and the prohibition of the doctrine of the heliocentric system, the scientist finished his long-planned book about the mechanics, which formulated all the discoveries in this area, made by him earlier. Galilee said that the Bible could not be mistaken, and regarded its system as an alternative interpretation of biblical texts.

Rene Descartes (1596-1650)
French mathematician, scientist and philosopher, founder of the principles of modern philosophy. The study of early philosophy led him to disappointment: As a Catholic, he had deep religious beliefs that retained until the end of his life, along with a decisive, passionate desire to find the truth. At the age of twenty-four, he began searching for a method that would allow to combine all knowledge into a single system of views. Its method originates from the question: "What would it know if you doubt everything else?" - implying the famous "I think, therefore I exist." But often forget that after this Descartes formulated a practically irrefutable statement about the existence of God: we can trust our feelings and processes of logical thinking only if God exists and does not want us to be misleading our own experience. Thus, God occupies a central place in the philosophy of Descartes. Rena Descartes and Francis Baccon (1561-1626) are considered key figures in the history of the development of scientific methodology. It is worth noting that in the system of each of them God occupied an important place, and that both of them were considered very devout.

Isaac Newton (1642-1727)
English physicist, mathematician, philosopher and astronomer, one of the creators of classical physics. In optics, mechanics and mathematics, his genius and innovation are indisputable. Newton in all sciences, which was engaged in (including chemistry), saw mathematics and numbers. Not very known is the fact that Newton was a deeply believer man and believed that mathematics makes a great contribution to the understanding of God's plan. The scientist did a huge work on biblical numerology and, although his views were not orthodox, attached great importance to theology. In the worldview of Newton, God is an integral on nature and absolute space. In his work "Beginning"< он заявил: «Самая прекрасная система солнца, планет и комет могла произойти только посредством премудрости и силы разумного и могущественного Существа».

Robert Boyle (1627-1691)

One of the creators and key members of the early Royal Society, the Boyle called his name the law of the boiler for gases, and also wrote an important work in chemistry. British encyclopedia Speaks about him: "On his initiative, he conducted a cycle of lectures, or sermons, boils, which are still held," to bring the arguments of the Christian religion to the attacked atheists ... ". As a pious Protestant, the Boyle showed a special interest in the spread of the Christian religion abroad, sacrificing money for the translation and publication of the New Testament in Irish and Turkish. In 1690, he outlined his theological views in " Christian virtuoso", In which he wrote that the study of nature was its main religious duty. At one time, the Boyle wrote against atheists (the concept that atheism is the invention of modernity, the myth), of course, he was a much more pious Christian than the middle of the people of his era.

Michael Faraday (1791-1867)

Michael Faraday was born in the family of a blacksmith and became one of the greatest 19th century scientists. His work on electricity and magnetism not only made a revolution in physics, but also largely led to today's lifestyle, which depends on them (including computers, telephone lines and websites). Faraday was a member of the Sandemian community, which significantly affected his views and significantly affected his approach to understanding nature. Sandemaanians rejected from the Presbyterians rejected the idea of the State Church and sought to New Testament the type of Christianity.

Gregor Mendel (1822-1884)
Austrian biologist and nerd, author of mathematical laws of genetics. He began his studies in 1856 (three years before Ch. Darwin published the "origin of species") in the experimental garden during the monastery, in which there was a monk. In the period from 1856 to 1863. He managed to formulate basic laws explaining the mechanism of inheritance. But in 1868, Mendel was elected the abbot of the monastery and stopped his scientific classes. The results of his work remained relatively unknown to the turn of the centuries, when representatives of the new generation of biologists based on the general results of their experiments re-opened the laws formulated by him. Interestingly, in the 1860s it was formed by the so-called. The X-club community, the main purpose of which was the weakening of the religious influences and the propaganda of the imaginary conflict between science and religion. One of the members of the club was Francis Galton, a relative of Ch. Darwin, a supporter of the selective crossing of people in order to "improve" the race. While the Austrian monk Mendel alone performed a breakthrough in genetics, Galton wrote that the "priestly mind" only interferes with science. The repetition of the experiments of Mendel was taken too late in order to be able to change the representations of Galton on the role of religion in the knowledge of the world.

William Thomson Kelvin (1824-1907)

Kelvin was the most outstanding group of British scientists who helped lay the foundations of modern physics. His work covered most of the areas of physics, and, they say that after his name there was more letter signs than after someone else in the Commonwealth, as he received many honorarily degrees of European universities who recognized the value of his work. He was a solid Christian, of course, more pious than the middle of the people of his era. Interestingly, his researchers, physicist George Gabriel Stokes (1819-1903) and James Clerk Maxwell (1831-1879) also possessed a deep flame faith at a time when many were nominal, indifferent or antichristians. AT British encyclopedia This is said like this: "Most modern physicists consider Maxwell 19th century scientist, who had the greatest impact on the physics of the 20th century; It put in one row with Syrian Isaac Newton and Albert Einstein for a huge contribution to the development of fundamental science. " Lord Kelvin was a creature player of an ancient land, which estimated the age of the earth with a gap from 20 to 100 million years with the upper limit of 500 million years, based on the cooling indicators (understated assessment due to the lack of knowledge about radiogenic heating).

Max Planck (1858-1947)

Planck made a great contribution to the development of different areas of physics, but is more known for the creation of a quantum theory, which made a revolution in the understanding of atomic and subatomic worlds. In 1939, in his lecture "Religion and Natural Science", the plank shared the opinion that God is present everywhere, and the holiness of the symbols speak about the holiness of an unknown deity. " He believed that atheists attached too much importance to what was just symbols. The placker was church old-age from 1920 to his death and believed in the Almighty, Overall, Gracious God (although not necessarily personal). Science and religion lead a "constant war against skepticism and dogmatism, against disbelief and superstition."

Albert Einstein (1879-1955)
Physicist, one of the founders of modern theoretical physics. Einstein, perhaps, the most famous and respected scientist of the XX century. With his name, the main coups of ideas about the time, space, energy and matter are associated. Einstein never approached the personal belief in God, but recognized the impossibility of the emergence of the Universe without creation. Einstein said that she believed in the "God Spinoza, which manifests himself in the harmony of all things, but not in God, who cares about the fate and actions of people." In fact, it caused interest in science. Scientist said: "I want to know how God created the world. I am not interested in those or other phenomena in the spectrum of a particular element. I want to know his thoughts, everything else is the details. " Einstein's words, said about the principle of Heisenberg's uncertainty, became a winged expression: "God does not play in the bone," for him it was the undisputed truth about God in which he believed. Another famous statement of Einstein is the phrase: "Science without religion chromium, religion without science of slap."

Science and religion, at first glance, incompatible concepts. It seems difficult to believe in God, possessing extensive knowledge about the person and the device of the world. Nevertheless, believing scientists have always been a lot. For example, Galileo Galilee, Isaac Newton, Thomas Edison and Albert Einstein can be found to them. The latter even said: "Each serious naturalist should be somehow religious man. Otherwise, he is not able to imagine that those incredibly subtle interdependencies, which he observes, not invented.

The Village met with believing researchers from different scientific areas and learned how faith and knowledge are combined in their lives.

Yuri Pakhomov,

39 years

Senior Researcher at the Institute of Astronomy of the Russian Academy of Sciences, Candidate of Physical and Mathematical Sciences. The believer of Christian, Dyakon Church of the Gospel Christian Baptists "Good News."

My childhood was held in Siberia, in the city of Shadrinsk Kurgan region. I grew up in the working family: the mother worked at the plant of printing machines (made matrices for printing houses), and his father was a speed driver. Both of them did not believe in God. In the church, I was occasionally only with my grandmother, which, though it was a communist, but put a candle came. I came to God myself. I remember a few bright episodes from childhood. I was 12 years old, winter came, and I went to the forest skiing. He went to the clearing and, seeing all this beauty - the winter decoration, freshly fallen snow, thought that all this could create only the Lord. Then I decided to thank him and pulled out his skis on the snow the word "God," and after that it became perfectly in the soul.

Another episode is associated with the mother's disease. It was in the late 80s. She became bad, his father was in the hospital, without waiting for an ambulance. I was very worried, I cried, and then found an icon from my grandmother, I knew and began to pray. After some time, mom made an operation, and everything cost. And in 1993, when I was completely one leaving for study in Moscow, Mom, the wrongmost, wanted to blow me in the church - so that God would help.

Then I entered the astronomical separation of the Physical Faculty of Moscow State University. Astronomy was fond of childhood, years old. I remember, we went around apartments and gathered the waste paper - newspapers, magazines, - and I got a sense textbook on astronomy, from which my passion began. It developed in parallel with spiritual quest, one did not contradict the other. During study at Moscow State Unitary Enterprise, I visited the Elohovsky Cathedral, where he tried to find answers to his questions, the main of which - "What is the Will of God?". I thought that if he created this world, it is not aimless, and wanted to know what is the goal.
But there I could not find answers to my questions and did not feel unity with people.

And once, in the days of the coup of 1993, I decided to go to the White House and see what was going on there. I sat down in a trolleybus, a woman sat next to me. She looked at me, gave several religious books, an invitation to the church and said: "You will be a preacher of the Word of God." Of course, I thought that the woman was crazy, and barely retained not to twist his finger at the temple. And then, when she found out that I was going to the White House, I said: "Not the tempts of the Lord God of His." As a result, I left the trolleybus and did not go anywhere. When my neighbors on the hostel returned, I learned that they were at the White House and there wounded their comrade. I then thought that this is another sign: God speaks through people.

Religion does not study the movement of planets or nuclear reactions in the stars, and the science is never
will not explain what life is

After some time I took advantage of the invitation of that woman and went at the specified address. It was the Protestant Church, there I first heard the Bible and received answers to many questions. In addition, there were people who are ready to come to the rescue. It was there that I found an answer to my question and realized that God created a man for his glory and everyone should think about what he glorifies God. Later, this church broke up, we went through the gospel churches, and I got into one of them, the Church of the Gospel Christian Baptists on the "Vojovskaya". At first, I played the guitar in the youth group with which we went with Christian songs on churches and orphanages, then was a youth leader, and in 2006 I had to do with Dyakonskoy ministry. Now I am helping new parishioners, lead a group on preparing for baptism and work with a group of deaf, for which he learned their language. I also combine the ministry with scientific work.

In the church, I am on Sundays, sometimes I am going within a week, at work - in the morning and day on weekdays.

The principal difference between the Gospel Church from the Orthodox lies in the fact that the center of worship in the first is the sermon, in which the meaning of the Bible is explained, the Word of God is explained. In the Orthodox churches and liturgy, and worship is carried out on the incomprehensible to many Old Slavonic, which does not help get closer to Scripture.

This only at first glance it seems that the occupation of science and faith in God - things mutually exclusive. They just have different niches: science is focused on material, and faith - to spiritual. Religion does not study the movement of planets or nuclear reactions in the stars, and science will never explain what life is. Therefore, among the well-known scientists, the pillars of science, many believers. So, Isaac Newton considered his main works by theological, but not discovering in mathematics and physics. Michael Faraday, the discoverer of electromagnetism, not only read lectures at the Royal Institute, but also preached in the church and among students.

My vision of the device of the world is no different from the modern scientific presentation. At the same time, I believe that the world is created by God. For example, the theory of a large explosion (although in fact it is a hypothesis, and not the theory) does not contradict the Bible, which says that the universe has a beginning. And God, having created the whole universe and time, is out of time and space, he does not live in the sky physical, but in the heavens of spiritual, this is a kind of different dimension. Therefore, on the spacecraft it is not to fly to it. And it is not necessary: he lives next to us, be on earth, moon or in another galaxy.

Kemal Halkechiev, 66 years

Doctor of Technical and Physical and Mathematical Sciences, Professor, teacher of the National Research Technological University of Misis. Muslim.

Up to seven years I lived in Central Asia, then - in Karachay-CherkessiaAnd he studied at the university already in Kabardino-Balkaria. We had an ordinary Soviet family. My grandfather graduated from the spiritual seminary and was a member of the spiritual administration of the Muslims of the North Caucasus, but after 1917 he moved to the side of revolutionaries, and in 1937 it was repressed. My father, physicist on education, a candidate of physical and mathematical sciences, did not believe in God. Mother believed, but no rites followed. I treated faith neutral. I only remember that at the university on the exam on scientific atheism it was necessary to take a ticket and saying "God is not!", And I did not. The teacher was indignant and began to argue with me. He could not prove that there is no God, and I -
what he is.

I studied theoretical physics and those processes that occur in the Universe: its expansion, increasing entropy (chaos growth). At some point, I realized that the Universe could not develop without an external observer. I will give an analogy with a black hole. If you find yourself inside it, it will break on the molecules, but at a distance for you it is just a frozen fixed object. If, outside the universe, we will not have an external observer, who sees all items in the same frozen form, then all the processes in the universe will place the same as inside the black hole. This external observer is the Lord, he does not punish and does not award, this is an object that everything knows, its entropy, the degree of chaoticness is zero. During the prayer and visits to the temples, we think about it, and the level of chaos in our head is also declining, everything becomes in its place. For example, I do Namaz to bring order in my head. Part of the entropy in the brains during Namaz is transmitted to God, and since he knows everything, it destroys it easily.

Scientist without faith - servant Devil, and the believer without evidence - fanatic.
An example of a prohibited grouping "Islamic state", in which fanaticism and dirty policy are mixed

We are accustomed to empowering the properties of a person, but it does not have to have some kind of physical essence. This is an object that takes the entire space in the universe, for which there is no past, present and the future, he sees everything at once. It's wrong to think that he sits and decides what to be. It is impractical: the world is arranged effectively, in its development already laid punitive and incentive functions.

Now I work in the field of mathematical modeling of natural and man-made disasters, as well as I am writing a book "Proof of Allah (gentlemen). Scientific substantiated Islam. In it, I set out my theory of the device of the universe from the point of view of the laws of thermodynamics and the principle of entropy. My job was already prepared for release, but I decided to explore other religions. If briefly, I came to the conclusion that in the expanding universe there is a continuous growth of entropy, chaoticness. But there are also vortex islands with low entropy, which in astronomy are called spirals, and life is born in them.

Science and religion do not contradict each other, these are mutually exclusive and complementary concepts. Faith and reliable knowledge make up the completeness of our ideas about the world: what we do not know reliably, takes on faith, and vice versa. This conclusion follows from the principle of the complementarity of the Danish scientist, one of the creators of modern physics, Niels Bora. It formulated such a rule: existing languages do not allow to unambiguously determine the phenomenon of nature, for this you need to take at least two mutually exclusive concepts incompatible in the framework of ordinary logic.

It is sad that now science and religion diverged, because by a friend without a friend, an inevitable crisis is waiting. Science enters the service of the soulless civilization of the production of material benefits, in which a person has no place left. Religious crisis manifests itself through fanaticism. So a scientist without faith is the servant of the devil, and the believer without evidence - fanatic. An example of this is the prohibited grouping "Islamic state" (The organization is prohibited in Russia. - Ed.), In which fanaticism and dirty policies are mixed. Therefore, I believe that religious figures along with theological education should receive secular in order not to become sources of radical ideas.

Leonid Katsis,
58 years old

In the past - engineer, now - Professor of the Center for Biblical and Judaika RGUGU, Doctor of Philological Sciences. Jew.

Faith in me did not appear spontaneously, it was always my natural state. But I started interested in Judaism in the seventh grade, after meeting with the fellowship of my grandfather, very religious hassides. I began to go to visit them, and then began to visit the synagogue. Parents, Soviet engineers were not delighted with my hobbies, despite the fact that my grandfathers were close to it. But no one touched me. The first conflict associated with faith occurred in the ninth grade, when the teacher, quite a Jew, asked me to shift some posters, and I replied that I could not, because I had Easter. After that, parents were called to school.

In high school, I was fond of art historian, avant-garde, but it was clear that it was necessary to receive engineering education. I won the Olympics in Physics and Mathematics, so I entered the Faculty of Technical Cybernetics at the Moscow Institute of Chemical Engineering. It was one of several Moscow special institutions where the Jews were quietly taken. After training, I worked for a short time at the Institute of Chemical Physics and even passed the candidate exams, but did not have time to get a scientific extent : we were arranged in 1991, although, according to my calculations, the Soviet government was to collapse in the 93rd, then I would have time to become a candidate of physical and mathematical sciences.

In its specialty, I was engaged in spectroscopy, in particular the development of light sources for nonzero zones of deep vacuum and atomic absorption analysis. But as soon as the Soviet Union collapsed, Jewish University opened in Moscow, and I immediately went there to teach - I read the course "Introduction to Judaism".

I also developed in the humanitarian sphere, my articles were printed in "questions of literature" and "Tynanov's readings." In parallel, I wrote a lot - Work on literary criticism and art historian. Once a colleague from the institute of Slavovyov, a joke was told: "You can't give you a PhD of Physical and Mathematical Sciences, we cannot give you the Doctoral." I did not have any scientific degrees, so I prepared for several months and passed the exams - Polish and Polish literature. In the future, I did a lot of Slavs, and I was the thesis on the topic "Mayakovsky and Poland". So in 1994 I became a candidate of science on Slavic. Later I released a book about Mayakovsky and another, associated with the apocalyptic in Russian literature, and after the report in 2002 in the RGGU became a doctor of philological sciences on Russian literature. Now I work in the center of biblical and Judaika RGUG, I am engaged in Russian-Jewish affairs, the history of bloody naval, studying the interaction of Abrahamic religions.

The study of the exact sciences did not affect my idea of God. Similar questions may occur only in clean Humanitarians.

Neither the transition to humanitarians, nor my today's activities have become no fracture for me. The fracture was restructuring and new Russia, the possibility of foreign grants and internships. There was a chance to engage in his business not under the cover of engineering work and not in the form of dissident. Stay outside the humanitarian sphere in Soviet times, it also saved me from an unnecessary scientific flavor, and from that fee for the title of Soviet humanitarian, which broke not one of the fate. And staying in the Judean environment saved me from some kind of spiritual breakdowns, characteristic of intellectuals, who spent decades on Hinduism, Buddhism, Christianity and some liberal forms of Judaism.

The study of the exact sciences did not affect my idea of God. Such questions may occur only in pure humanitarians; For us, representatives of the exact sciences, science and religion absolutely do not contradict each other and exist in parallel. The science - This is a constant acquaintance in the conditions of a mandatory lack of information, and religion comes from the fact that the model of the world is known. In Judaism, we argue like this: the Most High gave the Ten Commandments, and on this conversation is over. What are these days, we do not know, we were not there. Therefore, we begin to realize yourself from the moment Adam appear, and the rest is faith.

By the way, many scientists are trying to describe these days according to the ideas of modern physics. There are many such works, but it is only an attempt to overcome your spiritual crisis, the awareness of which came with an understanding of the All-Fivy of the Most High and the limited capabilities of the Creator of Science - a separate person and even humanity. I will give a fun example: Once I witnessed how women handed over the book of Ruth, and one of them - the doctor said Rabbi: "I know why circumcision is done on the eighth day. The fact is that by this time in the body, platelets are formed in sufficient quantities. If you make circumcision earlier, strong bleeding will begin. " It was on the 12th floor of a large concrete building, and at that moment I saw the rabbi in the area of the basement somewhere with his inner eyes.
In general, it was necessary to save the soul of the Rabbi, and I told him: "Raving, what do you even care? The Most High made so that platelets in the right amount are formed on the eighth day. " And the misunderstanding was resolved.

When they pronounce the phrase "at the beginning, God created", ask the question: "What is the beginning?" But you do not ask what zero is. Meanwhile, there is such a space in mathematics around zero, which is called the ideal. Also, the Most High created us so that he had a dialogue with someone, because the absolute can be absolute only compared to something. Therefore, our rituals and rites he does not need, this is a matter of our feeling. If a person from flesh and blood is needed - please, but it can be without it.

But our prayers are important, they are mandatory on any day. In Judaism, there is a daisy day by Yom Kippur. The meaning of this court can be understood without comprehending the depths of the teaching. At the end of the year and the beginning of the next day we have ten days between the New Year (Rosh Hashana) and Yom Kipper, when fate is being decided for the whole next year. The reporting cycle before the Most High, we have one year old, and not immeasurable: if I ask you to live the next year, it means that for the previous one I did not heat so much so that the Most High I was filmed. And if I lived the current year, it means that I did not hear so much in the year. Therefore, the people of Jewish religion is in a state of constant self-esteem, waiting for the result. You are one on one with the judge, this is the deep ethics of Judaism.

I have not experienced any persecution for your religion. I did not climb into the CPSU and observed our ancient law: "The law of the state is the law." I knew borders and consciously did not violate them, so I did not go to the humanitarian immediately. True, one day, when I worked at the Chromatography Institute, I was seen from the synagogue and improved the director. He called me and said: "Do not get fools on your eyes. I am a mother in the village church Kononil. "

Our institute was near the synagogue, and later, when the commanders of institute operants saw me there, nothing happened. Moreover, once our vice-rector for the farm found me with friends at work before the synagogue for the sake of developing scarce then matza. Summing up the situation, he, a Russian man, said: "Finish, put it all in the storage room and take the evening after class."

Our generation was lucky: when it became possible for everything, we still had forces, desire and health. Therefore, I can not talk about any special suffering, or about special perseverance in his Jewish life. Maybe lucky, but the Almighty it was necessary for some reason.

Kirill Kopekin,
56 years old

In the past - a physicist, a candidate of physico-mathematical sciences, now - the Orthodox priest, Archpriest, Vice-Rector of the St. Petersburg Theological Academy, the abbot of the university temples of the Holy Apostles Peter and Paul and the Holy Martyr Tatiana.

I was baptized in infancy when I was still not fulfilled. My grandmother insisted on it, because, only appearing on the light, I got sick and hardly survived. She considered it a miracle of God and decided that the child should be dedicated to God, in what, in fact, and the meaning of baptism. With my grandmother, we sometimes went to church, but it was, if you can put it, on the periphery of my life. Then there was a Soviet school, in which everyone received atheistic education. Children's impressions moved into the past - I was worried about the first of all the problems of the world order, and therefore I began to study physics. I entered the Faculty of Faculty of Leningrad University then, then went to graduate school, defended his thesis and then worked there for several years old, studying research activities.

Already at the initial stages of study, I realized that physics does not cover all reality. It describes the outside world, but there is an important part of the world, what we call the soul, and it is impossible to study it with the help of objective methods of knowledge. The soul has a property of subjectivity, and is completely incomprehensible, as this subjectivity may exist in the physical world consisting of objective things. In the fact that the soul exists, with a special force convinces what it hurts, and sometimes it hurts intolerance. How so? Objectively, there is no soul - but there is a pain! Chekhov said: "No one knows where the soul is located, but everyone knows how it hurts." My soul in incomprehensible for me was sick all the time, and I tried to do something: I went to the theater and Philharmonic, I read the book, I was engaged in sports. All this led to the fact that there was a mental pain for a while on the background, but the question was not solved radically. As a result, trying to do something with this pain, I began to go to the temple and after some time I was surprised to find that there my inner state changes. It was in the last courses of the university, and then in graduate school, but I did not tell anyone about it, it was my personal matter.

I could not believe the main statement of atheism that everything is only material and nothing else. After all, if it is so, then I do not, After all, the psyche is only the function of molecules who accidentally gathered in a person

In those days, there was a stereotype in society that only ignorant people go to the temple, and science, on the contrary, helps break with religious prejudices. I also thought about it, and I had a lot of questions. For example, I could not understand how God created the world in a word for six days, because I did not understand then that the biblical text is special. His task is not so much to convey information, how much is to act on the one who comes into cooperation with him and ultimately - with God. Therefore, if we approach it as an ordinary text, we do not see much.

To some extent to understand the process of the creation of the world by God with the help of the word of its own helps the analogy with mathematics. In the XIX century, she gained a foundation in the form of the theory of the sets of George Kantor, and it is noteworthy that in it the process of building a mathematical university is surprisingly reminders the process of creating the world described in the Bible. As the Lord creates nothing, and then from him - the rest of the world, and the mathematician first creates a blank set, and then the whole mathematical university arises from it. I think that this similarity allows you to describe our reality so effectively with mathematical models.

I also had questions about science: I could not believe the main statement of atheism that everything is only material and nothing else. After all, if it is so, then I am not, because the psyche is only the function of molecules that accidentally gathered in a person. But intuitive we feel that it is not so that there is some kind of significance in our lives. In some sense, this confirms physics, in particular, quantum mechanics and the theory of relativity, which appeared in the 20th century. Thanks to them, it became clear that the world is not so naive material that the elementary particles resemble some mental entities than physical. The fact is that the physical reality itself is in a certain sense, she reacts to our actions, and this sets a high measure of the responsibility of each person for his destiny. And it is great that even only the very very possibility of "spilling" the behavior of the system, measuring its or their other parameters, radically changes its behavior, as vividly demonstrate, for example, experiments with a deferred choice or quantum erasure.

When we begin to look at the world more attentively, we begin to understand that the Creator exists, and the fact that we do not see it is part of his idea. As Pascal spoiled (French mathematician, physicist and philosopher. - Approx. Ed.)"Everything around, not being a direct confirmation or denial of the existence of God, nevertheless intelligently broadcasts what it is, but wants to hide himself. Everything indicates this. " And the word "faith", by the way, does not happen to "believe", as it is now considered, but from "loyalty". Faith in the biblical sense of the word There is a certain kind of relationship between God and man: I do something in life, and the Lord answers me, but not the fact that the heavens and Glas are rejected to me, but what the circumstances of my life change.

I decided to become a priest at 30, when my father suddenly died. The next day, after it did not, I woke up and realized that it was only worth living for the fact that he did not disappear with death. After that I entered the seminary, then I was ordained and served for 23 years. With each last day, I am convinced that it was the most important solution in my life, I am more acutely experiencing the completeness of Being and God's presence in my life - in fact, the fact that in the biblical language is referred to as bliss.

British neurosurgeon and the author of many articles about Scientific Atheism, Jonathan Paradjassingham, mounted a video in which he collected 50 interviews with recognized thinkers in the field of physics, chemistry, philosophy and psychology. They shared their opinions about faith in God and life after death. Noam Khomsky, Bertrand Russell and Harold Kroto - "Theories and Practices" publish a selection of the most interesting statements about religion.

Peter Atkins
professor of Chemistry in Oxford

"I think theology struggles with phantoms. Theologies invented an amazing thing - this almost self-sufficient discipline, which does not intersect with physical reality. They composed a variety of theories and mental designs, with which for a long time they tried to instruct humanity on the right path. One of these theories is about the divine goal. Theologians argue that there is some predetermination that science is unable to explain. This is a typical theological concept. They do not respect - and therefore underestimate - the power of human intelligence. They constantly repeat this simultaneously a naive and disarming "argument" about the instended pathways of the Lord, which in no case may not be questioned. These are beautiful words, but they are deprived of any meaning. Why is it possible, it is asked, in the world should have its own purpose and its purpose? "

Simon Blackburn
professor of Philosophy in Cambridge

"Oh no, in a religious plan I am a hopeless skeptic. I think all this mythology is a wonderful material for a good comedy, truly human comedy! Science operates with concepts and phenomena from the real world - sensually comprehensible. And theology is trying to penetrate otherwise, in something that is behind or over reality. David Hume said that religion does not work, because such undertakings are simply meaningless. All truly useful ideas relate to the world in which we are. Therefore, it would be better to religionly! "

Stephen Pinker
professor of Psychology in Harvard

"I am a cognitive psychologist, and I adhere to a naturalist approach to the question of the human mind. In other words, the human mind is a consequence of the body's existence, and the brain is the result of evolution. I am sure that there is no need to invent a kind of metaphysical soul in order to explain the work of our mind. Because there are quite provable theories about human nature - to take at least neurobiology or genetics. And if you suddenly want to answer the main questions of being, you can easily do without reference to the esoteric essences and the Divine Start. "

Noam Homski
professor Linguistics in Mit

"I try my best to believe and try to proceed from the principle that has proclaimed at one time Bertrand Russell: you need to stay away from the speculation about life after death and believe only what you can find confirmation or proof. And the only possible exception to this rule - faith in ideals. For example, in equality, freedom and justice. I would even say that this is not a faith at all, it is loyalty. "

Lord Martin Riz
royal astronomer

"Science teaches us that even the most simple things are complex for understanding. And it makes me suspicious to treat anyone who claims that he has a simple theory explaining the nature of all things. That is, I am in some kind of pessimist. I think that the maximum to which we can expect is to explain the device of the surrounding reality through some conditional metaphors and assumptions. Accordingly, I believe that we will never be able to boast an absolute understanding of the universe. Nevertheless, I myself definitely do not belong to the number of those who could make any religious dogma. "

Sir Bertrand Russell
philosopher, laureate of the Nobel Prize in Literature

"I learned Christian dogmas and the story of opposing people of believers and unbelievers. And all the arguments in favor of the existence of God looked so unconfiguring from the point of view of the logic that I concluded: there is no practical benefit in faith in unproverable things. After all, there is a logical error: the statement is either true or no. If it is true - I believe, if not, I do not believe. And if you are unable to prove the truth of approval, then you must refrain from any speculations and judgments on this issue. "

Riccardo Dzhakconi

"Each irrational belief carries a real threat. Look around - the main reason for problems in society lies in the fact that people act irrationally, indulge their ignorance. I would like to be able to achieve human consciousness using science. Unfortunately, we have not yet managed to achieve this goal. Today we are not more rational than in our time there were ancient Greeks. "

Brian Cox
physicist, researcher in CERN

"We can say that I feel more comfortable thanks to my faith in an unknown. This is the whole point of science, right? Somewhere there are things, billions of phenomena, about which we can not know anything. And the fact that we don't know anything about them, admire me and awakens in me the desire to go there and everything will reason. This is the purpose of science. Therefore, it seems to me that if the idea of the existence of an unknown makes you feel uncertain, then you better do not practice science. I don't need a ready-made answer - more precisely, ready-made answers - all questions. For me, the most important thing is the opportunity to find and formulate them. "

Sir Harold Mrelo
nobel laureate in chemistry

"I am an atheist, and it seems to me that most scientists share my attitude to religion. There are some who believe in God, but still more than 90% of all major researchers are not religious. We use scientific methods in our daily life - I believe that this is my main intellectual task. Not that I did not need some mystical component - I simply do not recognize it. In addition, believers are extremely vulnerable creatures. They are illegible in their convictions, such people can voluntarily take an ancient accuracy fairy tale for a clean coin, about whose reliability do not even have to talk. They bother me, because many of them are influential people, fate of millions depend on their decisions. Are they responsible for their affairs? Doubtful. If they are ready to believe in such non-residents, it arises quite a reasonable question: how far can they go in their frivolous irrationality? Will this whim will not affect my life? "

Leonard Sasskind.
professor of theoretical physics in Stanford

"I do not believe that the universe was targeted by a certain absolute. I believe that it appeared due to the same reasons as a person. Of course, everything looked like Darwin, as if the man created the Creator. This is quite a natural thought: only the essence of even greater difficulty is something incomprehensible and perfectly fine - can descriptive such a difficult organism and brain. However, then there was a much more prosaic explanation - a person, as it turned out, appeared as a result of a random mutation that occurred only due to changes in the chemical composition of the atmosphere. Some kinds turned out to be more successful, some - not very, someone survived, someone - no. So, in fairness, a person created another Trinity - randomness, statistics and laws of physics. I think about the same thing you can say about the universe. "

Robert Colman Richardson
laureate of the Nobel Prize in Physics

"I do not believe in some anthropomorphic God, who somehow miraculously created the universe. As for life after death, everything I can say about this: "It would be great!" But I do not have the slightest reason to think that it exists. "

Preface

Behind each door of the scientific discovery there are ten other doors on the other side. Forgetting it, convinced atheists continue to argue that one scientific discovery should release humanity from unreasonable faith in God.

Although our missile experiments are limited only by our solar system, one of the slightest galaxies, there are optimists that they say that they have already examined the space and did not find God. They call it the "scientific conclusion" that there is no supernatural power and that faith in God and the Creator - anti-academy.

Many ordinary people were deceived by such propaganda and are now convinced that among modern scientists there are no believers in God. Nothing can be further from the truth as this statement.

In contrast to such statements in those countries where scientists are not afraid to lose their work and the situation due to religious beliefs, we know many world-famous scientists who boldly declare that the universe is so difficult and highly organized that its explanation is unthinkable without faith in God-creator. Most great scientists today confess faith in God, where only have the opportunity.

On the pages of this brochure, the reader will find clear and bold statements by many famous scientists who requested their opinion on the "contradictions" of science and religion. Was the modern science of God, in which such scientists believed as Newton, Galilee, Copernicus, Bacon and many others?

We will see that we have to tell us today on this serious themes of people with worldwide fame, among which many are Nobel laureates.

First of all, we give a list of scientists with a description of their qualifications, as well as on subsequent pages - their statements.

Chapter 1. Are the modern scientists really atheists?

Yuri Gagarin said after returning from the cosmic flight: "I was in the interplanetary space and did not see God. So God is not." Some ordinary people accepted this statement for the truth that modern science, allegedly refutes the existence of God. Others, seeing that Gagarin did not even reach the Moon, concluded that he was unlikely to have the right to declare that he studied at the same time all the space. After all, in order to flee our galaxy at the speed of light (300,000 km per second), it would take 1 million years and a half million years to achieve the next galaxy. And such galaxies of Billion.

Concluding this, very naive, reasoning of the deceased Gagarin, it must be said that only people who are deliberately rejecting God can take him for truth.

In contrast, the first group of American astronauts, which flowed to the Moon and made landing on the moon, read the first verse of the first chapter of the Bible in the orbit of the Moon and passed this reading on the television network for the whole world. This testified to their faith that "at the beginning God created the sky and the Earth."

The conclusion made by Gagarin, to no extent to any other astronauts and even less - other scientists.

These words expressed their opinion on this matter, many scientists of world importance:

Alberti

"You can't be a real scientist if you do not believe that the universe is real! If God wanted to" swear "over scientists, the latter could not explore the laws of nature and rely on constantly changing data of science. The whole life of the scientist is based on confidence, that things or phenomena, although they can be mysterious and incomprehensible, but still they are connected and agreed between themselves. "

Alaya

"It is wonderful how active members of our chemistry department are in church affairs are active. This is a great untrue that scientists in most are atheists."

Outrum

"Ii do not believe that the percentage of believers in God among scientists is less than among other professions. "

Bjerke

"Modern science did not kill the fundamental truths of the Bible. I believe in God, I believe in Jesus, and I believe in the Bible."

Burke

"The spiritual revival has recently penetrated into the environment of scientists involved in the study of space. It is rarely found such a day so that I do not hear on my work conversations for spiritual topics. Some engineers and teachings profess their Christian faith, whatever I ever believes, If I hadn't heard myself. I stood around the rocket and prayed about Allen Sheppend before his flight, and I did not see a single dry eye around me. "

Born

"Many scientists believe in God. Those who say that learning science makes a person atheist, probably some funny people."

Davis

"Most scientists, if ... to look around -religious people. I believe in God in his three costumes. The whole strength that surrounds us was embodied in Jesus Christ. He always acted and will act, responding to the needs and prayers of people. ".

Düszne

"The connection of science with religion was never so close and cramped, as in our time. Scientists studying outer space, opened so much beautiful and unexpected, which is now harder to tell the scientist that God does not exist. In this question there can be no two opinions. ".

Erenberger

"I don't think a real scientist can be an atheist."

Einstein

"I will never believe that God" plays in the bone "with the world."

Enstrom

"I don't think the creator had the intention to destroy all of us. Christian ministry ... to do what is good for your neighbor. My wife and I am a single little self-church. The first responsibility of this church is to bring people to Christ and educate They are in faith. "

Forceman

"God created the world and gave the world laws. These laws remain unchanged. The spiritual plans and the forces of this world are also unchanged."

Friedrich

"Sincere scientists are thinking people. They understand that the number of issues grow faster than the answers to them. This leads them to faith in God. I believe that God is the creator of the whole world. He holds the whole universe and looks after all that is In her. He is more than the root cause, and only he can respond to prayer. "

Heineek

"I know very few scientists who told me that they are atheists. I know many astronomers who are definitely believers. They have great respect for the universe and to the one who created it. Religion doesn't matter if it does not manifest In the daily life of a person. "

Inglis

"We saw the work of the creator's hands in this world, which is unknown to other people. Take a look into biology, look at any organ of the human body or even the smallest insect. You will find so much surprising that you do not have enough life to study. It gives me and Many of my employees feeling that there is something great and beautiful. This is someone causes the creation of the universe, and this reason cannot be understood by us. "

Jouncy

"There is no reasonable reason why a scientist cannot believe in God and the Bible, and also why a religious person must reject scientific discoveries."

Jelineek

"Almost every American satellite, which flies around the Earth, has our parts. I'm interested in new discoveries. Who is not interested in this? But I also have a habit once a year to read the Bible and always find the new one in it."

Jacin

"Most scientists are religious people."

Mosquito

"Dangerous thing ... to give science full control. If you give a computing machine (computer) problem, how to achieve world around the world, then the computer will answer:" destroy all people. "

Pawnshop

"My religious philosophy opens me a joyful way of life. This system works well. It gives me true freedom of thought and freedom of sight on things and people. I think about it as a positive experienced proof."

LONSO

"We have the same large percentage of physicists participating in church work, which one can find among the rest of the population in that area where I live."

Mandel

"I have friends who are good scientists and at the same time - religious people. And it is not by chance, but truly believers."

Millis

"I can't imagine how a real atheist can be a scientist."

Smart

"In space, we have now learned about many things, but the faith in the creator is needed now, as it has always been needed."

Wang Jersel

"It is very important that ordinary people know that modern scientists are not such atheists as they were once. It is possible that those scientists who were not atheists said nothing about their faith. Among European scientists, the conversation about religion is considered quite appropriate. . I believe in God, who is directly related to this world. Creation is not associated with time. The process of creation and today in action. God cares about it.

I love talking about religion with my colleagues and at the same time I do not feel uncomfortable. The gospel has become good for me, and I believe in it. "

von Brown

"Flight of a person in space is the greatest discovery, but at the same time, it is only a small well in the inexpressible wealth of the interplanetary space. Our view through this little keyhole on the great secrets of the Universe only confirms our faith in the existence of the Creator."

Waldman

"Most of our students are quite active in church matter. Young scientists are much more interested in religion issues than their personal affairs."

Thorchester

"Among the ordinary members and servants of the Church, which I attend, there is a considerable number of people from the scientific and technical world. We have many engineers who are members of church committees in different churches. We even have several active adulteners from our environment. Some of them had Special training like servants of the church. I had to work with many scientists, and only some did not believe in God. "

Chapter 2. Freedom to believe

Of course, not all scientists are Christians, but even those that do not provide the value of religion should be free to believe or not believe how the conscience dictates. Otherwise it was a hindrance to a person to be effective for society.

One of the basic rules of scientific research is that each scientist should be free from the restrictions of government control, as well as on social pressure in making independent conclusions to which its research leads. The scientist should be able to look for the truth without any fear that the opposite ideology brings over it.

Regardless of the faith, there should be freedom to look at things as they are, there must be absolute freedom to believe, or not to believe.

Anderson

"I do not know a single colleague among my directions, who would have had more than 25 years old and did not think about anything, except for science, who in his thoughts would not have verified the findings of science and religion. In all, they wish to achieve in a sense of their own explanations. "

Friedrich

"I love to talk with other scientists about God and about religion in general."

Wolf-Heidegger

"I consider the absolute responsibility of each independent scientist, regardless of the area of his research, analyze issues of religion, God, peace, etc. If he does not, his conclusions will only confirm its biased opinions."

Mosquito

"If the phenomena that you explore lead you in a defined direction and at the same time - the opposite of your intuition and philosophy, you, as a scientist, are obliged to go in this direction. A good scientist must have open thoughts on all phenomena of the world. Morality and The judgments of individual scientists should be guided by the ethical principles. The scientist should think about the problem that takes it, and not to be only a teeth in the wheel. Where the religion comes into contact, the scientist must reckon with her. "

Gyoteld.

"It is very important to remember that God gave a man freedom. If God would intend the science in order to force a person to believe in him, then the person would have no freedom."

Erenberger

"If people do not speak openly about religion, perhaps this is due to the inheritance of the totalitarian regime, where a person should be considered with the ideas with which he disagrees. The reason why we have misunderstanding in religious matters is that many people discuss the issues of religion without Of the proper knowledge of the subject. They have partial knowledge that were taught in childhood, and they stopped at this level of thinking. Religion should be included in the training program at the university level. It must be part of the basic learning of students. Christianity should be reflected in everyday life. "

Outrum

"A person needs incomparably more of what the science gives him. There is a person to religion or philosophy - this is his business. Science, in his attempts to find universal laws, meets its borders. In this freedom of each individual, not contrary to science. Just here And religion begins. "

Bidl

"Religion is a substantial part of human culture. Religion is necessary. It has an incredit value. I believe that for this reason all cultures had and have religion. Religion contains something that the science does not give a person."

Bjerke

"You need a religion to become a face to face with problems of our time. If we see a little bit under our nose, we will see a different kind of conflict. How can we resolve them without religion?"

"Among my patients, the second half of life is, who over 35 years old - there is no one whose problems can be resolved by bypassing religion. It is definitely to say that they all feel sick because they lost eternal values - what a live religion can give Its followers. None of these patients can be fully healed, if it does not return to religious views. "

Thorchester

"I am very pleased to see a huge number of students in the church almost every Sunday. They have a valid, healthy attitude to religion. I believe that ever all students will be interested in religion."

Dzivis

"Our students put forward religious issues for discussion in the audiences."

Pawnshop

"Students are captured by religious problems."

Alaya

"I have a deep faith in young people. Our young people are in a much better state regarding the correct understanding of religion than in due time we were. They are active in church life and more participate in the Christian ministry than we have ever received" .

"I do not have any interest to fight the church. People must have the right to be among us a kind of missionaries, but no one has the right to force us or impose their faith to us. It would be a terrible act in the harm of the Church in general."

Waldman

"I discovered that religion more and more enters the personal life of students ... The idea that has eternal meaning."

Heineek

"Students with questions of a religious nature are increasingly addressed to astronomers, because it seems to them that astronomers are a little more study the heavens than other people."

"I feel that God led me to Harvard University for substantial ministry. Here, in a student town, many Christian professors, but they are far enough. Personally, I feel like a stronger Christian as a result of competition with philosophical teachings. It made me delve into Scripture And led me to the deeper knowledge of Jesus Christ, put in greater dependence on him. "

Viltofong

"Education of children is not an easy business. We try to have family prayers and live a Christian life in front of our children."

Bubb

"Many scientists engaged in psychoanalysis believe that God is an unknown name, the crutch for unopened and that the more we know the world, the less space remains for God. This is an obsolete idea that a man -capitan his fate ... Atheists reject the spiritual Healing ... I believe that the devil is a person that the heart of a person is a battlefield between God and Satan. Spiritually ill people need a clear preaching of the intact Gospel. "

Piccard

"The appointment of religion is to show a person how to live, how to help him. The Bible is its constitution."

Jelineek

"I have never had a conversation with people without not telling them about my faith in Jesus Christ. (Jelinek often made lectures at special seminars at universities and in the collections of professional scientists.) As a privileged sinner, I have eternal communication with God, I created the universe. My desire is to say about the good of the other for each other. "

Hansen.

"The difference between humanism and Christianity (although both are related to person) is quite definite: Christianity says that it is fascinated by ... the real joy of a Christian brings a happy duty. I know what I'm doing ... and why I do. He, Who acts love, acts in God and God in it. Humanism has no soil in this regard. "

Jacin

"In our concept we have several platforms for knowledge: science, philosophy, religion. Each industry has its own forms of thinking and a kind of self-confidence. In religion you start with listening to revelations. After that you can say yes" or no ". This, of course, is more than knowledge. This is a complete self-dedication. "

Vallenfels.

"Everyone in some sense is religious. There is no person on Earth who would not have had his religion, except that he is absolutely stupid or mentally patient. If I do not see such a reaction in a person, I will be with him very careful, having such a person employee. He will not be firm in truth. If he will give good results only in the theory, and not in experiments, if it has been changed by experienced data, to get the best result, ordered by a scientist, then I would say that such a person is dangerous, And I would not want to cooperate with him. "

Chapter 3. Faith, based on proof

Scientists cannot scientifically confirm or scientifically prove the existence of God, but a huge number of scientists are based on their faith on creation, visible in the universe. We know that not all the phenomena of the universe can be us understood. For example, scientists still do not know what energy is, which is an electron, what attraction is. The essence of these phenomena is not disclosed ... But we believe in all this, based on the evidence that we discovered, although we do not understand these and many other phenomena completely.

In the same way, we cannot mind to understand that there is God, but many scientists believe in God, because "that they found more evidence of its existence, rather than evidence of the existence of energy, the strength of gravity ... love, memory, etc.

Faith should go further the possibilities of our mental analysis. At the same time, faith is logical, it does not blind us, if we put all the ideas correctly. Faith goes by the direction where we have evidence, but it goes further - in the Spirit area.

The creation of the Universe itself speaks about the Creator. As the dictionary could not be formed from the explosion in the printing house, and the universe could not arise by itself or from a random collision of molecules. Mathematically, according to the law of probability, it is absolutely impossible. Already one thing is exceeding all the evidence and leads us to faith in God, although we cannot understand the very essence.

Many questions remain not responded - and maybe it will always be so, because they are above our concepts. For example, where did God come from? God existed is always, but this "is always"exceed our understanding. However, if we reject the ever-existing God, we must ask ourselves: where did the universe come from? We must, in this case, say: the universe existed is always(that science rejects) or must say that there was a time when nothing existed, and suddenly, without any reason, from nothing, the universe was formed. But this version of science also rejects.

All these questions are standing above all science, but they give more reason to believe in God, rather than believe in the formation of the universe from nothing.

When faith goes in the direction of causality and evidence, we enter the area of personal experience, where the presence of God, his world, love and joy is manifested in the personal lives of people. You can not consider a illogical feeling of joy at the sight of the beauty of the solar sunset, although science cannot prove why the sunset is so beautiful.

Many scientists testify that they opened their hearts for God's love and have personal communication with God through faith, and this is more satisfying them than experienced and statistical evidence of science.

von Brown

Alberti

"Many people, exploring the universe, find more and more beauty ... and feel that God must be here. This point of view of science opens to us the living God as what he manifests himself in the personal lives of those people who believes him. This, of course, is not proof, it is an intuitive feeling that the universe and life should generally have a special meaning, otherwise there will be no beauty.

This is a physical manifestation of the universe for scientists a lot of wonderful than for ordinary people, because the scientist sees the details, he sees the interaction between molecules, he sees how she lives, thinks and feels a person created from molecules and how this action is mutually due to. He sees how stars are born and die ... The beauty and mystery of the Universe makes an honest scientist think about God and believe in it. "

Alaya

"Science reinforces my religion. The more I have contacts with the physical world, the more I believe in the existence of God."

A. Anderson

"As a scientist, I came to the conclusion that this wonderful universe opens up a fantastic order and meaning. Here you have a choice: this is the work of God-God-how the hands of the God of Evolution? If the idea is effective, it will live, and the idea of order and beauty, released. From the hands of the Creator, definitely life. "

B. Anderson

"If you know the property of the DNA molecule (deoxyri-b-nucleic acid) - the main mechanism of life - you will soon open a strange phenomenon, superior to any fantasy. It has the ability to copy itself and act as a source of information for the formation of proteins.

I believe that a person is more than this ... a person is created in the image and likeness of God. "

Bayron.

"Look at the device of your body. You have 30 trillion cells. Each cell has 10,000 chemical reactions acting at all times. It takes much more faith in the fact that this body happened by chance that it was created by a reasonable God. Millions of monkeys They can hit the keys of a million typewriter during the billion years, but they will never create a single book page.

I am surprised that God committed to me in Jesus Christ. He came to the ground to be my Savior, die for my sins. Then the day came when I was hesitation, but quite definitely accepted Christ in my heart. The biggest in life is to know God for personal experience. "

Davis

"Science led us to the conclusion that we can not find answers to all questions. Therefore, we must contact the unknown, have faith in it and come to him for the answer."

Erenberger

"If we could mathematically explain what God is, it would be very simple. But we cannot do it. Vera goes on Knowledge. Many people recognize only what can be born and see. On the other hand, they are not against The fact that the Universe has its continuation over the Milky Through, even if they do not see it, but they believe in it. Where is the logic?

You can not see God, but you can feel it. You feel that a person is very and very small, and at the same time there is something big. It all depends on whether a person wants to find God or not. "

Enstrom

"I see a well thought out and developed plan for which creation was made. And today I see God's hand over his creation, I see how the prophetic statements of Scripture are executed. The Bible is the highest authority for our life. We must take all this faith and ask God Experience. Then we need Christ in our personal life. Nowadays, the return of Christ is being announced to such extent, as never before. "

Forceman

"The fact that scientific laws permeate the whole universe, definitely suggests that the material world has a common spiritual basis. This is the basis -Screment of the Universe."

Heineek

"I have deep respect for the universe. This is the most interesting and most difficult creation. I do not look at the universe as an outcome of the case."

Inglis

"There is something ambitious in the emergence and nature of all things, in the elegance of the laws that we formulate, but do not understand. This, of course, can not be the basis for checking the existence of God. But you just feel that nothing can happen by itself yourself and be so beautiful. "

"I know that God never makes mistakes. God gave the natural laws of child development before his birth. But there are other laws that violate the order in the development of the child. This is not a shakebel of my faith, when I see how a person walking down the street , falls and breaks your hand. I do not see the reasons to blame God in the fact that sometimes the child is born with an innate defect, as I will not blame God in the sidewalk, where the man fell, was a pit. "

Waldman

"The most interesting for a scientist is that he sees an amazing order in nature. It is more than a confluence of the circumstances and the case. With the development of science, we see more and more organization of order in nature. Therefore, the more you study nature, the more you are. You have reason to believe in the perfection of the Master Plan, and not in the circumstance. "

Thorchester

"A large number of thinking scientists and engineers believe that everything can be checked by the scientific method and that in reality you need God to explain the entire existing one. But here there is always something important that it is overlooked. We say that everything in the world acts on The basis of certain physical laws and forget that no law is impossible without a legislator that someone established these laws. "

Viltofong

"Natives naturalists can view a planner who founded the universe. But as soon as they start entering deeper information, most of these scientists begin to believe in the Creator. Moreover, conflicts between science and the Bible are smoothed with a more careful study of Scripture. Scientific evidence of God's existence, At least for me, are not basic. I can feel God by means of prayer. I know him for personal experience. "

Chapter 4. Is there a conflict?

Sometimes they say that science and religion are incompatible that one contrary to another thing is that there is a conflict between them. In the past, religious leaders in this soil were struggled with scientists, but it was a conflict between people, and not between science and religion. In this conflict, misunderstanding between science and religion.

Some scientific journals publishing in the United States write about the difficulties in recognizing God. There were such skeptics and in the past, but with the development of scientific discoveries, their religious conviction deepened.

Here is what spoken by world name scientists speak this important topic:

Piccard

"In the 19th century, science and religion were in conflict for the reason that scientists argued that the future of science has its own predetermination that science will come to the final knowledge of the world. However, now scientists, studying atom, came to the conclusion that the future of science Generally problematic. This recognition opens the doors to faith in God. Today, there can be no conflict between science and religion. "

Millis

"Most of the advanced scientists stand close to religious organizations, which in itself speaks of the absence of conflict between science and religion."

Alberti

"Vera enters the usual life of every scientist. If he does not have faith in the fact that his experience will have the success that the human mind can teach us rationalization, such a scientist has nothing to do in the laboratory."

Bubb

"Science does not destroy the traditional value of the Christian religion. She rather destroys religious fakes, wooden and stone idols, which man tried to replace the truth."

Alaya

"Faith gives rise to the so-called internal questions. The inner self-control, which gives you faith, may well be transferred to science."

V. Anderson

"We, genetic scientists, are very interested in controlling life, but we are not trying to replace God. We have the right and responsibility to open up new opportunities, but at the same time we immediately remember Hitler and about his" scientific "path of mass murder and reproduction "The perfect race." Of course, we should not abuse the control that genetics gives us. This should be the necessary authority. We all wish to look into the future ... and use God for this freedom for a fair choice. "

Aount.

"God gave us two revelations - spiritual, or supernatural, and revelation through the knowledge of nature. I believe that the universe is the work of God and everything that supernaturally, as the Scripture opens, does not contradict nature, but above it."

Outrum

"Science does not cancel religion. On the contrary, the exact understanding of science gives freedom for religion. A person can be a good Christian and at the same time can be a good scientist. I have a deep respect for the identity of Jesus Christ. His simplicity and greatness is flawless. The same To say about his teaching. "

Burke

"Ii did not find instructions in the Bible, which would be banned by the study of outer space. God gave man advantage and superiority over creation, gave him creative abilities. If we use these abilities with the recognition of God's greatness, it is not and cannot be anything bad in the flights to the moon, on Mars and other planets. Christians who have the right motives can have a great influence on the glorification of god by the discoveries of outer space, as well as discoveries in other areas of science. "

Born

"Science presents a scientist a lot of moral and ethical demands. If a scientist believes in God, it will facilitate his problem. The scientist must have a great patience and humility, and these qualities can give him religion."

Brooks.

"Science does not have comprehensive views on the world. In other words, it cannot force individual scientists to have the same point of view. We have all the increasing contacts with the Christian faith. Perhaps these links between science and religion are not direct but important. The advantage of Christianity In that increasing number of believers take part in the scientific revolution. "

Dana

"I do not know more accurate data on the origin of the world than those that are in the Bible."

Düszne

"Science, like religion originate from inspiration."

Erenberger

"Today in Christian churches we meet many young people. This is a fairy tale that now people do not go to church. They tell those who saw the church only outside and sleep every Sunday morning."

Enstrom

"I don't know why some people think that the Bible restricts the experiments in science and in engineering. On the contrary, everything that a person does, he opens, he only copies the established laws by God. A person does not invent anything. He only opens up a long time God ... in the world ... it seems to me everything moves according to God's plans, but not by our, not human. Yes, I believe that the power of God is perfect and the divine authority belongs to the last word. God is not only our creator, but also Redeemer ... He manages his creation and the affairs of man through Jesus Christ. "

Friedrich

"Many scientists believe that it is impossible to think scientifically and at the same time believing, for example, on Sunday and eternal life. But I think that the resurrection and eternal life have nothing to do with science. Science is only part of my creature, as and religion. "

Inglis

"Christianity gives impetus to the scientific method in the sense of recognizing the value of a separate personality. This is not a simple coincidence that modern science has its beginning in Western Europe, where Christianity has deep roots, and not in those countries where Confucianism and Buddhism dominates. The main feature of Christianity in Recognition of human individuality, which is the opposite of Eastern fatalism.

The sense of personal freedom gives rise to respect for personal ideas. It is against any form of coercion, against the dogma. This gave rise to a reformation, which in turn laid the grounds for more efficient development of science spreading over the whole world. "

Jelineek

"The Prophet Jeremiah says that the stars of the universe cannot be counted. Scientist Ipparh, who lived several centuries after Jeremiah, dogmatically reported that the Universe had 1026 stars. Ptolemy, who lived a few hundred years after the Nativity of Christ, made amendment. He said that the Universe had 1056 Stars. And only in 1610 Galiley, looking at the telescope, exclaimed: "Stars much more!" Today, astronomers have approximately 100 billion stars in our galaxy, and there are millions of such galaxies! Thus, we must agree with the ancient prophet that the number of stars In the universe - innumerable. "

LONSO

"My experience tells me that you can be Christani and scientists, as well as a scientist and an atheist. On the first pages of the Bible, God told a man" Hold it (earth) "- Gen. 1, 28. This is what science doing today. "

Wang Jersel

Wolf-Heidegger

"A scientist who has religious beliefs may be as good scientists, like others. This belongs to the freedom of spirit. The limit of science can see the believer, and unbelieving. One will explain it in one way, the other - the other. Limitations in these explanations are the same" .

Tsigler

"My scientific experience does not make me any less religious. If I had a different profession, my ministry in the church would not have changed."

Vallenfels.

"Some say that when the swallow builds a certain type of nest for his chicks, she does it on the instinct given to her the Creator. I don't think that this truth is less scientific assumptions about the past of our world. Other people say that protein on a prescription is defined The number of genes in the chromoto-divers of the bird produces certain signals to certain parts of the bird brain and that, depending on this, the bird chooses the direction in flight, builds the nests, etc. I don't think this explanation is better than the first (that instinct is given in the Creator) because it also cannot be checked by experience, but you need to take on faith. "

Thorchester

"I believe that in percentage terms we have as many believers in science as in other professions. Many servants of the gospel in the past worked in various fields of science. I know a lot of these."

Viltofong

"The appointment of science is to open what God gave us, to understand God's creation and this is to serve as a person. Personally, I do not see the conflict in my industry of science with the fact that God has opened to us through his Scripture. In the fact that I became a scientist, I see God's will. "

Chapter 5. Results of scientific discoveries

At the beginning of this century there were many atheists captured by the idea that an increase in the discoveries of science would put an end to faith in God that science will reveal all the secrets of the universe and will not remain anything to explain through religion.

Of course, we now know more than we knew, but the unknown and unopened continues to multiply the fastest of our knowledge. Each new discovery instead of an answer to the last question gives rise to many other questions to which science has no answer. This inability of science give full answers to human questions instead of waste from faith gave rise to many scientists from the materialism and caused interest in spiritual.

Recently, the number of members in the US churches has increased, although at the same time the level of education has increased and the number of scientific discoveries has increased. One of the reasons for this interesting phenomenon was marked in America with one of the popular magazines in the article by the authoritative scientist Lincoln Bar-Netta. He said so: "The discovery of a science of one or another mystery gives him a greater mystery. All evidence that science can assemble, indicate that the creation of the universe was accounted for at a certain time."

Below we give the opinions of scientists who just confirm this point of view.

Einstein

"The more science makes discoveries in the physical world, the more we come to the conclusions that can only be resolved by faith."

Alberti

"The more we learn about the universe, the more unknown. We are standing before multiplying the mystery relative to the nature of things. Every time the scientist does this or that opening, he is convinced that there are 10 things that he does not know. Science has 10 things The property of the infinite deepening of knowledge. You cannot make a final solution, as there will always be several other features open.

The programs for the study of outer space created a number of questions about the moon and other planets and even the Earth itself, and such issues that people did not think before. "

Düszne

"The situation of today's science is the same as Newton said in due time:" We are like small children playing the beach in front of the endless ocean of truth. "Science has become more modest in the face of modern discoveries."

Outrum

"In the last century, science has become more modest. Once it was believed that science will open everything that is infinite, which is unknown. Modern science began to think more modest about it when he learned that a person could not give final and perfect conclusions. In the knowledge of the person himself It is limited. The scientist has much more reason to believe in God today than it was 50 years ago, because now science saw her borders. "

Waldman

"Really great people those who have made great contributions to physics. Great devotees of science are unusually modest."

Davis

"Great people are very modest. This is the result of what they know that they know little. The more science level increases, the more we learn how we know little and how much you still need to learn. Each scientist trying to reveal the truth. , it will definitely reaches such a point when he sees how little man in the universe is insignificant. "

Hansen.

"If something great is attributed to Einstein, then this is a constant repetition of his statement that he knows very little, although he is considered a great scientist."

Brooks.

"My faith in Christian ethics was caused by my reflections as a scientist."

Burs

"Partial discoveries in outer space did not make us arrogant. The power of divine creation and its wisdom is incomparably higher than human.

I no longer worries the philosophical question: is God? Now I read the Bible more and more about the will of God in my life and about how to be the best witness of Christ. "

Anderson

Jacin

"The progress of science can give direction ... inspiration ... think about the revelations of the Bible."

Aount.

"Our scientific expedition studied the composition of the stone and gas education in the famous Hawaiian volcano of Kilauea. At the greatest depth of the earth (20 miles) we have finished our research and did not find an answer to many geological issues. As a Christian, I humbly imagine how much still remains Unopened in God's creation and how little we still know about it. The person is very small and short-term in comparison with the difficult nature of nature, existing millions of years. I am grateful to science for brings me closer to the creation of the hands of God - to nature. I am very grateful God for the physical world created by him for a person. "

von Brown

"One of the most fundamental laws of nature, confirmed by science, is that there is nothing unprecedented in the physical world. It is simply impossible to imagine the creation without the Creator."

Jelineek

"From the point of view of logic there are only two possibilities: or the universe occurred from the case - or was created for a specific plan.

Let's look at the sample of creation. We know that the atoms of cosmic bodies are the same as the atoms of the earth. Each atom has a kernel with rotating electrons. Solar system is arranged just by the same sample. In the center - the sun with the planets rotating around it. Then we have millions of other suns of our galaxy. The galaxy also rotates, making a full turn every 200 million years.

Thus, starting from the microscopic atom and before our galaxy, we have the same structure. This leads me to faith in the creator. The land does not rotate at the perfect circle. The land in its rotation has 3 orbits at the same time. Nevertheless, the land does not lose more than one thousandth second one hundred years. As a designer of accurate devices, I am affected by such accuracy.

Look at the amazing balance of our planets. If we were 10% closer to the sun, we would burn and turned into a powder. If we were 10% further from the Sun - we would have frozen to death. The Earth revolves around its axis at a certain speed to give us the exact duration of the day and night. Any and insignificant change instantly put the end of life on Earth. "

Vinand

"When you learn how amazing and complex phenomena in physics, you will see the inability to explain them theoretically. In the nature of these things there must be something majestic and more powerful than the human mind."

Erenberger

"The search for new discoveries in nature will definitely lead to God. What basically prevents a person in recognizing God? Revaluation of his own" I ".

Friedrich

"When we learn how much we still do not know, we come to consciousness, as far as we, people, are limited and imperfect."

Inglis

"There is something inseparable from religion in the human spirit. The church convinces us in the religious adoption of the wonders of the world that opens to us science."

Harn

"Science is a way for questions about God's creation. Science brings us to clearer concepts about how God has created the Universe and continues to create today.

The boundaries between cultures are always marked by the state of technology. Today's technology is based on the knowledge transferred to the sons of fathers, but relies on these scientific laboratories. My Christian faith makes me as a scientist, much richer. My research and scientific practice deepen my faith and the knowledge of God's greatness. Be a Christian - it means to live a new life. When a person revives Christ, he becomes part of the wonderful energy acting inside and outside. Without this constant action, a person is dead in sins. Therefore, a Christian is not an ordinary person: he lives in God's plan. "

Chapter 6. Limiticity of Science

Most scientists recognize that the answer to the question of the existence of God is outside the field of science. Since God is infinite and unlimited, it was not, there is no such scientist or philosopher, there is no such science and nothing else that could prove or reject the existence of God. Those scientists who believe in God are not trying to prove the existence of God scientific way, because science is relaxing only to physical phenomena and can not be in the essence of the Spirit. Of course, this does not mean that the spiritual world does not exist, or that he is not real, but that means that the world of the spirit can not be measured by tools of science or disable through logic, as no one can measure love or by counting, determine how beautiful field flower. The view is that in addition that it is measured and open by science, nothing exists - very naive or even stupid,

Alberti

"The question of the existence of God is not a question of science. Inot from those who think scientific terms explain the truth. There is nothing absolutely accurate in scientific theories and facts. Most scientists ... In their personal life ... have some concepts of truth, but it would be an exaggeration to express these scientific terms. "

Heineek

"Science cannot be knowledgeable in everything. It is unable to explain to revelations over, or questions of ultimative truth, or absolute values. To explain all this scientific way impossible."

Outrum

"Doctrine about God to explain scientifically impossible."

Thorchester

"Ii have in-depth respect for the one who established the laws of nature. Ii have a sense of regret to skeptics. Prayer (for me) is very useful ... There is a great advantage in it, but to give it a scientific explanation is a certain one. There are emptiness that must be filled with faith, and it is scientifically impossible to prove, at least on the basis of what we know. "

Born

"Science has left the question of God completely open. Science has no right to judge it."

Bidl

"The question of the existence of God outside the field of science."

Wang Jersel

"I don't think a person can achieve perfection through science and also see no reason to reject some spiritual experience and argue that there is no truth in it."

Westfal

"There are countless questions to which science has nothing to do with. In such cases, faith comes to us. The author of the Epistle to the Jews says:" Vera is exercising expected and confidence in invisible. "Physics has nothing to do with such faith. Scientific The method cannot be proved to prove the existence of God, as can not reject. The scientific method is not intended for this purpose. "

Wolf-Heidegger

"I believe that you will never achieve the solution of basic religious issues through scientific knowledge. I can not agree with the view that religious issues are disgraced by themselves. Our technical capabilities grow very quickly ... But we are very far from knowing - Why, from where and where are we going? A person lives only 70 or a few more years. What does this mean for eternity? Nothing! This conclusion is not the result of depression. It is based on the facts. "

Vinand

"I don't think science can prove or reject the existence of God. This is not a field of science. This is a matter of faith."

Jouncy

"Atheists or hostile agnostics ... in the field of science like an unfaded bird. A few years ago, I had the opportunity to travel with some engineers and scholars of space research. There was a question regarding the Bible between us ... From their part there were no negative criticism. They It seemed to take skepticism towards the Bible with real nonsense. "

Friedrich

"A conscientious, an objective scientist who does not have prejudices to religion will never say that there is no God."

Forceman

"The existence of God is out of the attack of scientists. God, as he is, can not be accomplished in our thoughts and presentation."

Jacin

Hansen.

"No one can ignore what is truly religious experience. God is looking for a person. When a person responds to the call of God, the life of a person is changing. The main news of Christianity ... It concerns the lives of people of all classes and regulations. In God's Plan, it all knows only every experience. . The love of God cannot be expressed in specific rationalistic terms and cannot be tested by a qualified method. Love, like God to know only experience. I come back to the concept that God is more like more experience than the study method. "

Vallenfels.

"A Christian must be the best researcher than an unbeliever. He feels his calling to serve a person, and he serves God, and so he should do his job as good as he can."

Alaya

"Thought as well as radio waves at a certain point pass through our bodies. We can not detect radio wave, if you don't have a small tool that could catch this wave and translate it to music or words. If you see people passing with such devices, Music publishing, you start to believe that through this device there are radio waves, which these people use. If we have a sufficient number of people who have the experienced knowledge of God and showing this knowledge in their personal life, it says that they have something That is. The fact that you personally do not have such experience says that you are not yet configured to the "specified wave".

Chapter 7. Questions of paramount importance

In recent years, a stormy scientific discovery, when new discoveries occur faster than their thought, some representatives of the scientific world were captured by pink optimism, that soon science will answer all questions that all the wishes of the person will be satisfied, all problems will be resolved, including misfortunes and war.

However, soon, this point of view in the root changed and now only a few scientists, if there are, believe that science has answers to all the deep questions of our life.

Unfortunately, most people still hold on this false hope that honest science has long been rejected. The statements of scientists given in this chapter show that they clearly represent the impossibility of science to answer questions of thinking people: "Who am I? - What is the meaning of my life?" and many others. A person is not only a cluster of atoms connected by nerves. What determines life and makes it valuable - love, joy, peace, happiness, beauty - can not be explained by the terminology of molecules and chemical reactions. Scientific knowledge can never make a person more loving and more attentive to others, cannot fill in the inner emptiness. Man is the same spiritual being as physical.

The ultimate truth is in the Spirit. It can be opened and opens to a person when he enters the right communication with God through Jesus Christ.

Bidl

Wolf-Heidegger

Davis

"In his life, a person comes to this provision when he feels that science cannot satisfy some of his requests. Therefore, one thing remains: he must turn to religion. Religion is just responsible for the need that it is difficult to explain, but nevertheless she is exist".

Inglis

"Science cannot give a response to all life questions. Based on this, scientists direct their thoughts to religion."

Alaya

"Contact with the physical world increases my knowledge in the field of science. But science also has its limitations. There are things that science can not measure. Therefore, I intuitively turned to religion. I believe like a Christian that God sent His Son to save us . For a person who wishes to live a Christian life, it is very important to read the Bible as much as possible. "

Byob

"Many people reject the Christian religion, not even asked what she represents. In Jesus Christ, a Christian has answers to all deep living questions. Appeal to God, a living Christian faith must manage the life of a person, regardless of the discoveries of science. Science studies led to a number of The conclusions that are supported by the Christian conviction about the creation of the world of the divine wisdom and strength. "

Piccard

"The unknown of the principles of life says that God must exist. The idea of probability leads us to freedom. But here you need to say that the more we study, the less we know about what we know. We can never find a final explanation. We Always ask how children: "Why?" The answer to the last "why" is contained in the same word - God. "

LONSO

"This is quite normal and correctly that young people do not have the enthusiasm in relation to science, which was a few years ago. They discovered that science could not answer the fundamental issues of life."

Heineek

Jouncy

"Since the idea of the so-called human-like monkey began to prevail, a modern man was left without knowledge of his actual ancestor. The bankruptcy of humanism awakened a religious thought and led to the knowledge of God, as the highest strength of the universe. The manifestation of this power found its expression in the personality of Jesus Christ And focused on it, as at the highest authority. In this God's answer to the dangers of the scientific revolution. "

Forceman

"We do not know anything about what is behind the art of the Spirit, abroad of our limited knowledge and science. A person will never know everything."

Gyoteld.

"We are also far from the permission of philosophical issues, as always."

Tangen

"Private people think that we, scientists, we know the truth. We will never utter this word by our mouths. When we are aware of the limitations of our work in the inner spheres, as well as limited in the knowledge of the truth in the outside world, then we are approaching religion issues."

Brooks.

"Science cannot deal with such concepts as good and evil. The scientific method does not provide for the solution of such issues. Some young scientists are disappointed with science. This disappointment is caused by the fact that science cannot solve problems of our time."

Thorchester

"There are still many people who think that everything can be explained by the scientific method, but when they come to personal questions, they do not find a response. Such questions, as about the origin of the Earth, about personal destiny, cannot be explained by the scientific method" .

Waldman

"We usually begin the first course of physics from discussion issues:" Why? "And" How? "And we immediately give students to know that science has no answers to all questions. Science can not answer the question" Why? "Science only answers To the question "How?" Why do we have earthly attraction? No scientist can give an answer to this question. I do not think that in this regard we know at least the iota more than we knew 50 years ago. We just accept The fact of the existence of attraction. We understand the phenomena, we use them, but we do not know why they occur. We, for example, do not know the nature of electricity, although we know its laws and use them.

There are scientists who think that all these issues will be resolved in the future, but none of them made any progress in this direction. "

Mosquito

"Science has nothing to do with emotional issues ... But they play a huge role in human desires and needs. They have an element of conscience, feelings, free will, and here science will never be able to help. The role of religion is to give it The feelings are an ethical substantiation and the right place in public life. This is a very important and necessary role that science cannot replace, because the value of science is the value of the computer, but a person cannot allow the computer to solve the problems of good and evil. The computer has nothing to do with our feelings and our conscience. "

Jelineek

"As a Christian and scientist, I have to appreciate the scientific discovery of our time. When I worked as director of the research department of missile projects, we had 300 people responsible for the Motor rocket, a combustible mixture and control systems. Today there are 10 thousand people on the phase alone Problems of rocket education. This characterizes the growth of technology in the cosmic age. What a huge responsibility lies in Christians to expand and deepen the preaching of the Gospel, respectively.

"Most American and overseas students have a location to believe in God, but they feel that God is somewhere far and therefore cannot take part in their personal destinies. Sometime and I allowed a big mistake in this. I doubted that Jesus Christ It can make any change to my relationship to God. As a young professor, it was hard for me to justify my faith on what did not meet my concepts. Nevertheless, I became more and more surprised by the features of the device of the Universe and the Human organism. All This, of course, could not form itself. It's time when Jesus Christ became a reality for me, became my personal Savior and Lord. Now I know that he is a source of true knowledge, the source of truth. Only this truth made me free. "

Chapter 8. Danger of Worship Science

Scientists not only concluded that science does not have an answer to the most important issues of human life, but they warn about the dangers of our days to look at science as on the technological god, which, allegedly, can fill all human needs.

Darwin worried a lot from the doubts that filled him in the last years of life. He said: "Can a man mind that happened, as I believed, from the lower animal, inspire confidence if this mind involves us in such great experiences?" One of the loyal followers of Darwin, David Lac, explains this doubt of his teacher with such words: "Science is facing the danger of destroying its own foundation. The scientist must trust the conclusions of his own logic.

Consequently, he cannot accept the theory that the human mind agreed as a result of natural selection. If it were so, then the findings of our mind should rely on the truth, as it is, but on the product of natural selection. This conclusion makes all scientific theories, including the theory of natural selection, is unreliable. "

If a person is only a product of evolution and a random connection of molecules, and the universe is managed by the case, then in all the universe there is no goal and human life has no value. But if a person is created by God by his image and likeness for a certain purpose, then every personality is the greatest value.

Scientific materialism cannot tell us anything about spiritual values. He has the same attitude towards a person as a scientist for a computer. Fans of science, rejecting all other values, destroy a person with the denial of his spiritual qualities, which actually makes him a man.

This is a deadly danger that many scientists made serious warnings.

"A lot of science is not able to do. Conclusions that science can find the technical permit of all our problems, is expensive to disaster."

Mosquito

"Vera in the fact that humanity can be organized by the methodological and scientific way - this is exactly where the error begins. What bothers me and scares - this is what modern science tends to turn into a new religion.

At one time, science was very progressive. Now science has turned into a very dangerous and dominant force. There is no compassion where there is only cold force, and just this force and the science in itself. "

Friedrich

"Science is a kind of" holy cow ". It serves the masses of the people. People do not know where they go and why? Science has no answer to these questions. Science can give people refrigerators or land a person to the moon, give him beautiful cars, but Science cannot tell a person why he lives on Earth, and the man himself does not know this, as he does not know what his life is to be, in addition to passing his life to old age and die. "

Jouncy

"Science today warns the whole world about the danger, in front of which our civilization is worth today. This is the main reason why many great scientists have done a turn to God, as the last hope of finding answers to the problems of this world. God should be regrettable to see When he opens the Secrets of the Universe for the benefit of a person, and humanity enjoys these discoveries to the harm. However, with an increase in great scientific discoveries, an unprecedented interest in religion is growing. God gives us great opportunities so that we can do something in relation to sin living In man. But here only Christ can be our answer. All other swells are in vain. "

Outrum

"Science can not be bad or good, but scientists can. I always warned students that you can cut the bread with a knife and cut the throat."

Pawnshop

"The conclusions of science are not always defined. The lack of modern science is that it is satisfied with the fact that she has already managed to seize, and does not worry about what she has not yet been covered, not investigated. It was the subject of criticism 100 years ago, and This is today.

It would be the greatest mistake to think that we can get away from religious thoughts or can replace it with scientific arguments. It would be a subject for laughter or a kind of medieval. How can I be satisfied only by scientific and technical discoveries and not worry about what is not yet open? "

Gyoteld.

"The scientist should always ask himself about his own methods and about his own conclusions. In my opinion, in scientific research there is a tendency to be terribly dogmatically."

Thorchester

"ATthe man has many such things about which science cannot say anything. Science also can not say anything about the purpose of man, why he lives on earth, what should be his relationship with other people, about his moral and ethical habits. All this is not included in the science area.

On the other hand, I have a deep conviction that the doctrine of Christ and the Old Testament has a big impact on the lives of people and can improve the relationship between people, change the life of society for the better. Ii believe that the church has this role and will store it, will help improve human character, remind him of responsibility not only before counterparts, but before God. "

Hansen.

"Advanced people are often passionate about the successes of science and therefore believe that science knows the answers to the questions:" Why? "And" What? "This puts a scientist on the pedestal - often without a sufficient basis. Scientist ... Tries to reveal the secrets of nature and in this The work forms hypotheses and assumptions in which he himself does not have absolute confidence. These hypotheses and assumptions must be checked by knowledge and time. "

"The assumption that physicists on the turn of this century found the key to the questions of the eternal order, do not correspond to reality. We learned to doubt that this or that truth is absolute. It is imperative to revise the former knowledge that we have earlier about nature. I'm talking Not only about the results of revision of ordinary discoveries. We see in the discoveries of atomic theory and quantitative mechanics an amazing order set by the master. This causes the need to abandon some of the main assumptions. And this is extremely important, meaning the enormous influence of science on society.

To resolve very important problems and conflicts between individual human groups, societies and nations, it is necessary to reconsider the majority of fundamental ideas in our concepts about humanity. "

Alaya

Heineek

"We teach our students that the scientist is very necessary modesty and caution. Self-confidence harms. Unfortunately, we have some scientists who, being the best people and even laureates of the Nobel Prize, engaged in high positions, but at the same time forgot about the most simple Recipe - about modesty. They became egocentrics. They seem to be that their word is the last conclusion of science. The story has time to check and show them wrong. "

Harn

"German scientists, followers of Hitler, were quite competent. Some of them did research how to destroy people with a more efficient method. This is one of the reasons why I, in addition to teaching biochemistry, I have been studying in my own laboratory. I myself bandage wounds of crying technicians, When anyone needs this. I suggest praying with a love student who doubted. A Christian is a person with a special authority. "

Anderson

"Now we can make changes in the results of genetics through medical intervention. We can change the ratio of genes. In the future, it may be possible to make the replacement of genes at all. But it should be remembered that genetic control can be used in evil intentions. That is why it is important for believing scientists to use The teachings of the Bible in the development of a genetic control program.

As genetics and even more - as a biologist, I am interested in the physico-chemical side of the nature of man. As a Christian, I believe that a person is more than a combination of elements of physics and chemistry. The man is spiritual creation, created in the image and likeness of God, and therefore he must be considered with God and be responsible to him. I want to believe that my work is included in God's Renaissance plan. "

Enstrom

"Science is fully aside of the morality. And the results of science can be used on good and for evil, depending on what a person intends to do with its results."

Viltofong

"The zazna is very dangerous. The scientist is looking for ways to control the nature. But the scientist also needs control ... God."

BJUB

"One of the biggest misconceptions is that the majority believes that the scientific method is a reliable way to truth."

Chapter 9. About Miracles

If a miracle is something that science cannot give a complete explanation, then the whole universe is full of miracles. As we have already noted, science cannot give final analysis. Once scientists thought that the laws were opened by them (or which could be open), give a complete explanation to physical phenomena. Now we know that this is not that laws, even today, considered firmly established, can already be refuted or canceled tomorrow.

In the very formation of matter, there is a undoubted miracle that cannot be scientifically explained. Now we see as the fact that in the very nature of matter there is a discrepancy with many physical laws formulated by science.

There are many "miracles" in the physical world, which are also incredible for us, like those we have a description in the Bible and who are nevertheless committed every day.

A few years ago, scientists opened the strange behavior of electrons and some particles. They do not always act in accordance with the laws known to us. Science now talks about things as "probable" and "incredible", but does not say both about the "faithful" and "possible." This fact changed the point of view of many scientists who previously considered the resurrection impossible. Now they believe that the scientific method can not reject the evidence of the eyewitnesses of the living Jesus within 40 days after His Resurrection.

Despite the fact that some scientists still do not recognize miracles based on the fact that they cannot check this scientific method, through experience, most scientists make it possible that miracles had a place, even including the Resurrection of Christ and the possible resurrection of those who are He believes.

Atheists reject the possibility of miracles described in the Bible because they do not believe in God, acting a miraculous way ... At the same time, they take more than more wonders. Failure to believe in God's miracles puts them in such a position when they must believe in the inexplicable. For example, a Christian believes on the Resurrection of the Dead Body, and the atheist believes that all life happened from the dead matter. The Christian believes that the universe was created by God's force and his wisdom, and the atheist believes that the universe occurred by chance and more - that everything happened "from nothing." Thus, in order to be an atheist, you need to have much more faith than a Christian. For this reason, many scientists rejected atheism as a worldview.

It turns out that there is no question of the non-recognition of a miracle, but what miracle does that and the other party believes? A Christian explains the miracle through the meaning and strength of God. Atheist explains his miracle "chance" plus Billion years.

Most scientists concluded that the Christian conviction has more meaning and more satisfactorily than the point of view of atheists. Anyway, scientific means cannot be verified by any or other conviction. The nature of a miracle is not resting in the field of physical world, which science could analyze or measure, but is in the sphere of spiritual, which is scientifically unexplained. She only knows personal experience if there is a willingness to this.

Here we have the statements of some scientists, tested by their personal experience. Come to God as sinners, having passed the death of Jesus Christ as their replacement death, giving him, they have the experience of a wonderful spiritual resurrection. They found peace with God through forgiveness, found the joy and meaning of life and a new life in Christ.

Jouncy

"Obviously, the contradictions are more often in physics than in religion. Explicit wonders occurred in the physical world at all times and occur today. In the face of secrets of the Universe, the modern physicist has few difficulties in recognizing the spiritual world."

Heineek

"It may be good that we meet a lot of secrets, known only to God, and that a person will never know them."

Gyoteld.

"I have to be very careful in the defeat of the certificates of miracles, because I should then admit that these people are lying. Therefore, I prefer to stand aside from any explanation, but simply take them as evidence. I think this point of view of science - Having an open mind, not to close the world - correct. We cannot say that miracles are impossible. And in general, I think that it is not scientifically - to draw conclusions about what we do not know.

Miracles belong to special phenomena, which can sometimes occur. They do not fit into science frames, because we cannot reproduce them. And in general it is not a science area to reject them. "

Inglis

"Wonders outside the science area. You cannot reproduce such an experience to prove it, so it is or not."

Jacin

"The question of miracles can only be considered at the level of religion."

Brooks.

"Science can say that miracles, as they are described in the Bible, are quite likely. There is no way to argue that they have never been."

Bubb

"Wonders do not make up problems ... For God, they are not difficulty or an adventure, but this -eble path in which God does not limit himself in its manifestation. Christian religion sees a special revelation of the Bible and the legitimate right of God to interfere in the nature of reality. ... to give people a revelation about their love and his atonement of the fallen person. "

Waldman

"The most interesting thing about science is that there is nothing impossible. We can say that it is more or less possible. You can say that (miracles) are quite likely. But theologians can say:" Of course, we agree: Miracles are unusual, such as The way there is no disagreement. "

Vallenfels.

A. Anderson

"Ii do not make any discounts regarding miracles. There are many things that we do not know. We do not understand all those paths for which a person can have a connection with others. For me, not everything is clear in what seems strange if it cannot be explained by the science data available in our hands. "

Pawnshop

"This is quite normal that not all phenomena occurring in the world, we can give an explanation. With such phenomena, the scientist occurs daily. The unusual and durable existence of the Bible, who passed through all the centuries, languages and nation is already a miracle."

Wang Jersel

"This direction is not true - remove God from the world and leave behind him only the primacy. To explain the nature of the wonders, we need God. It was always opened for unusual phenomena. Resurrection is the main element of faith. He has a deep meaning. Christ was the first one who showed that there is something inexplicable. This inexplicable can only be seen by the eyes of faith. No one knows what can be open in the future. No one knows how our concepts can be changed as a result of new research. "

Thorchester

"I fully admit that God can do what he wishes. We are not obliged to seek explanations to the acts of God in purely mental and physical terms. I admit that God has the right to change your plans."

Friedrich

"With God, there is nothing impossible. He makes miracles as opposed to the laws of nature. He has the right and the power to do this, for he is the Creator of Laws. A miracle is not unnatural, and supernatural. I am convinced that a person cannot achieve improved morality. This is There can be only Christ. Without Christ, you can't love God and Middle. "

Düszne

"A person can believe in miracles and at the same time be a good scientist."

Davis

"I believe that Jesus Christ made miracles, made patients with healthy, resurrected the dead. I have no doubt about it, although I can't give it an explanation. And because we have no answers to all our questions, I accept a miracle as reality, Including our personal resurrection and eternal life. We did not come to this land only to live for several years and disappear. I believe in the afterlife, although I can't give it an explanation. This (Resurrection) cannot be verified by experimental science. "

Forceman

"Science cannot say anything about the resurrection."

Alaya

"Once I saw a man killed by the train. I can't believe that his physical death put an end to spiritual life. From now on, I never doubted the eternal life of the Spirit. I just can't believe in such a sudden death of a human being. This is not the subject For a dispute. There may be no logic here, but the intuitive feeling suggests that it is truth.

As a Christian, I believe that God sent to the world of his son, that he came to give us salvation. "

Bayron.

"I know the cases of wonderful healing when the patients did a dramatic turn to improving health through prayer. But God never exhibits a miracle where there are natural ways out of position.

It often happens that God does not meet us towards this, having significant reasons. We do not live forever (in this body). Since we all should die, it is very important to know that God gives us a certain time to take salvation. This is the blissful hope that I speak my patient with every opportunity. "

"The creator gave the genus the human two books. In one showed its majesty; In another - his will. The first is the visible world, they created to make a person, looking at the prettiness, the beauty and slightness of his buildings, recognized the divine omnipotence, by faith itself a given concept. The second book is sacred. It shows the created blessing to our salvation. In 24 prophetic and apostolic brand books, interpretatives and smells of the essence of the great church teachers. And in the book of the addition of the visible world of this physician, mathematics, astronomers and other thanks to the Victims of the Essence of the Essence of this, what are the prophets, apostles and church teachers in this book. "

Max Planck (1858-1947) an outstanding German physicist, founder of quantum theory.

"Wherever and how far we would like to look, we do not find contradictions between religion and natural science, on the contrary, it is in the fundamental items of the best combination. Religion and natural science do not exclude each other, as these are some of them believe or are afraid of this, these two areas complement each other and dependent on each other. "

"Religion and natural science need faith in God. At the same time, for religion, God stands at the beginning of every reflection, and for natural science - at the end. For some, it means the foundation, and for others - the top of the construction of any ideological principles. "

Albert.Einstein (1879-1955) - A the second-special and general theory of relativity, introduced the concept of a photon, opened the laws of the photo effect, worked on the problems of cosmology and a single field theory. "My religion consists in a sense of modest admiration for the limitless intelligence that manifests itself in the smallest details of the picture of the world, which we can only partially cover and know our mind. This deep emotional confidence in the highest logical harness of the device of the Universe is my idea of God. "

"The actual problem is the inner state of the soul and thinking of mankind. This is not a physical problem, but the problem of ethics. What scares us is not an explosive force of the atomic bomb, but the power of the shallow of the human heart, the explosive force for angry "

"In vain in the face of the catastrophe of the 20th century, many complains:" How did God allow? "... Yes. He made: I made our freedom, but did not leave us in the darkness of ignorance. Let the knowledge of good and evil are specified. And the person himself had to pay for the choice of false paths. "

"Every serious naturalist should be somehow a person religious. Otherwise, he is not able to imagine that those incredibly subtle interdependencies that he observes, not invented. In the infinite union, the activities of infinitely perfect mind are detected. The usual idea of me, as an atheist is a big misconception. If this representation is drawn from my scientific work, I can say that my scientific works are not understood. "

"For me, faith begins with the knowledge that the highest mind has created a universe and man. It is not difficult for me to believe in it, because the fact of the existence of a plan and, therefore, the mind is irrefutable. Order in the Universe, which unfolds to our eyes, testifies to the truth of the most great and sublime alignment: "At the beginning - God".

Wolfgang Pauli. (1900-1958), Swiss physicist, one of the creators of quantum mechanics and relativistic quantum field theory, laureate of the Nobel Prize in Physics 1945

"The first sip of the vessel of natural sciences makes us atheists, but God expects us at the bottom of the vessel."

(1902-1984) – english physicist, one of the creators of quantum mechanics, quantum electrodynamics, quantum statistics. Nobel Prize in Physics 1933 "For the development of new, promising forms of atomic theory"

"The nature is inherent in the fundamental feature that the most basic physical laws are described by mathematical theory, the device of which has an extraordinary force and beauty. We must simply accept it as this. The situation was likely to describe, saying that God is a mathematician of very high rank, and that he used to build the Mathematics of the highest level when building the Universe.

"It turns out one of the main features of nature is that the laws of fundamental physics are described by very elegant and powerful mathematical theories. To understand these theories, you need to be a high-level mathematician. You may be surprised: why nature is arranged in this way? The only thing that can be answered at the modern level of knowledge is nature in this way designed. It remains only to take it. In other words, God is a mathematician of a very high level and he used the most perfect mathematics when creating the universe. Our weak mathematical efforts allow us to understand the device only a small piece of the universe, and as we need to develop mathematics, we hope to understand the device of the universe better. "
