The Fruits of Pride in Dragon Age: Inquisition is one of the main quests in the storyline.

How to get the quest?

The task becomes available on the map after the quest branches are closed. There lies the Abyss and Evil Eyes and Evil Hearts. You need 40 influence points and at least 16 character level.

Before proceeding, also complete the tasks Close attention and Before dawn, otherwise they will not be available further.

Passing

Morrigan shows you the mysterious Eluvian portal mirror and what is behind it, at the crossroads of worlds. The theory immediately arises that the Coryphaus is looking for a second such mirror in the Arbor wilderness. After returning to the ordinary world, all troops are pulled there and a mark opens on the map, according to which you can go into the wilderness.

Immediately upon arrival, Morrigan will suggest that the enemy is looking for the Temple of Mital. After that, you need to move forward and, along the way, break the units of the Coryphaeus. On the way to the second checkpoint, you can find the camp of the Red Templars in the wilderness. There you can find a chest and a codex entry.

If you explore the entire territory with branches after the second checkpoint, you can find two more entries in the codex and Mkhamet's war hammer.

Everything is extremely simple here - we make our way through the enemies to the very temple.

Temple of Mital

Inside you will see a video in which the Coryphaus, inadvertently, launches a defense mechanism and dies, but is immediately reborn and sends a dragon to the Inquisitor. After running inside the castle, you get control over the hero again.

In the first room, a statue of Fen'Harel can be found, which gives another entry in the codex and opens a conversation with Morrigan about everything that is happening. On the way, you will find a certain area with cells - your task is to go through one cell only once and at the same time activate all of them.

In the next hall, the enemy is waiting for you, who has already found a workaround and descends into the depths of the temple. Actually, then you can follow the Lieutenant of the Coryphaus into the failure, but the best option would be to go to the end of the temple ritual.

There are three more puzzles of this type to solve, but much more difficult. A diagram of the passage of each of them is presented below.

You get into the crypts. There are quite a lot of useful things here, secrets with a curtain of fire that will open several texts of the code, as well as armor and some gold. To get to the visitors' rooms, you need to go west through the southern rooms and then north - there you will find steps along which you will climb to the desired place.

Visitor rooms

Here you will meet the guardian of the temple named Abelas. During the conversation, you can either make peace or refuse and start a battle. If you did not go through the ritual, then there will be no option with the conclusion of peace.

One way or another, Abelas goes forward to destroy the source, and you make your way forward either simply or with a fight (depending on the choice).

Source of Sorrow

Once in the hall, you again meet with the lieutenant of the Coryphaeus. There will also be one overseer, who, depending on the choice, either fight on your side, or attack.

Important!

In the conversation, you can choose the option with the destruction of armor and weakening the enemy, if you have chosen the side of the magicians.

If you sided with the templars, then you can negotiate with the lieutenant without a fight.

If you have made an alliance, then you can persuade Abelas to retreat. Otherwise, he will attempt to destroy the well, during which Morrigan will kill the keeper.

Now you have to choose who will plunge into the source. It is worth clarifying that if the Inquisitor himself enters the source, then you will face a fight with a guardian dragon vulnerable to fire.

Immediately after the completion of the ritual, another attack of the Coryphaeus will occur, which you can avoid by hiding in the mirror.

Is a very big game. Only to complete the main quest can take from 40 to 60 hours, and if you take into account the secondary tasks, it becomes quite scary. On the way to the final goal, difficulties may arise, which will help our passage to solve. Just to begin with, let's clarify something.

... Dragon Age: Inquisition is a non-linear game. This means that a lot depends on your decisions, as well as on the gender and race of the Inquisitor. BioWare's new project has enough forks that will make your story different from ours.

... We only talk about the main quest. Yes, there are a lot of interesting tasks in Inquisition, but describing each of them would take an indecent amount of time. Therefore - only missions from the "Path of the Inquisitor" group.

... Dragon Age: Inquisition is not a quick run. In order to progress through the story, you need to earn points of influence (Power). The fastest way to do this is to complete a few minor quests. So even if you are not interested in the personal affairs of party members and quests to collect herbs and metals, sometimes you still have to do this.

The Wrath of Heaven

The Dragon Age: Inquisition prologue is absolutely linear - even if you want to, you still don't get lost. Follow Kassandra, read the tips carefully and fight weak opponents. There shouldn't be any problems with all this. Soon the path will lead to the elf Solas and the dwarf Varric, your new companions.

After that, you will be taught how to use the tactical pause. In the future, this mode will come in handy more than once, especially at a high level of difficulty, so try to master it as early as possible.

Soon you will come to a rift - a place from where demons from the Shadow enter the real world. To close the gap between the dimensions, you must first destroy all opponents around. After defeating the demons, you need to touch the gap and wait a few seconds, after which it will close. During the passage of the game, you have to close such portals quite often.

After returning to the fortress, you will be presented with a choice: to go to the largest gap in a straight line or in a roundabout way. In the first case, you will get to the next location faster, in the second, you will be able to save the missing soldiers.

Regardless of the path you choose, you will soon find yourself at the ruins of a huge castle. Going down to the gap, you will start the battle with the first boss - Demon of Pride.

There shouldn't be any special difficulties: you will be helped not only by the party members, but also by the soldiers of the Inquisition. In the first phase, the boss is invulnerable - note that his health bar looks different than that of previously encountered monsters. To make the daemon vulnerable, a rip must be used. Let the boss be distracted by the allies, and you press the action button next to the portal. After a couple of seconds, an explosion will thunder and the demon will fall to its knees - then hit it. After a while, it will become impenetrable again - you already know how to fix this. When lesser demons begin to appear on the battlefield, first deal with them, and then interact with the gap.

The Threat Remains

After resting after the battle, go outside. Head towards the church following the sign. Go to the Command Headquarters and complete the game prologue.

After that, you will have time to get comfortable at the headquarters. Use it to learn blacksmithing, talk to your companions, remember the location of the key NPCs. When finished, return to the church. From here you can go to the next location - the Hinterlands in the kingdom of Ferelden. To do this, you can use the command rate or the world map.

A huge number of quests await in the Hinterlands - here you can spend up to 12 hours! Therefore, if you do not want to get confused, mark your priority quests in the journal - then a special beacon will tell you where to go. If you plan to advance on the main task as soon as possible ("The Path of the Inquisitor"), then mark it in the list of quests.

Follow the sign. Soon you will stumble upon a detachment of the Inquisition, which is fighting off the rebellious magicians and templars. They will need your help. After that, you will be invited to a large camp - the main stronghold of the Inquisition in the Hinterlands. Here you need to talk to Giselle's mother, who will send the heroes to a new location.

You can stay in the Hinterlands and get busy completing quests - there are enough of them to earn several levels. Otherwise, return to Command Headquarters and head to Val Royeaux.

Here again the pointer will help you - follow the beacon. There are very few things to do in this location: after reaching the indicated place, watch the video, meet the templars and then head towards the exit. Before leaving for the headquarters, the spellcaster, the head of the magicians, will speak to you.

Very soon you will have to choose between templars and magicians. Two quests will be available at the command rate: In Hushed Whispers ("Secret") and Champions of The Just ("Defenders of justice"). Selecting one of them makes the execution of the second unavailable. Complete Champions of The Just to convince the Templars to join the Inquisition, or In Hushed Whispers if you value the help of mages. In our walkthrough, we chose to support the wizards, but you are free to do otherwise.

In Hushed Whispers

Travel to the Hinterlands. Here you need to get to the city of Redcliffe, located in the north of the location. There will be another gap in front of the city gates - deal with it, and you will be allowed behind the walls. Find a tavern in Redcliffe, talk to the sorceress and proceed to the new meeting place - it is very close.

Here you will meet Dorian, one of the potential companions. Close the gap, listen to the mage and go to the headquarters. Here you have to talk with advisers and finally decide who will be more useful allies - magicians or templars. This is the last chance to change your mind.

If you still plan to be friends with wizards, then return to Radcliffe using the command table. Dorian will definitely be in the party, and you can allocate the two remaining slots to other heroes.

What happens next, we will not tell - this is a spoiler. Let's just say that after the cutscenes you and Dorian will find yourself in dungeon. As soon as you regain control, pump the abilities of the magician so that in battle he helps you with spells.

Since you are left alone, move through the dungeon with caution. There are few enemies here, but they do decent damage. It will be easiest if you play as a "tank" warrior. More difficult - if for a melee rogue. Be extra careful when playing as an archer or mage.

Following the markers, you will soon reach a fork. Three points will be marked on the map: two of them indicate the party members who need to be released from prison, and the third will lead you to the sorceress Fiona. First of all, get to the lost allies - the four of them will be much easier. After talking with Fiona, the next part of the task will open - follow the new marker.

To replenish stocks of health potions, look for special storage (they look like boxes with different bottles). New markers will appear on the map that need to be examined. You can freely move within the location and visit targets in any order. Please note that there are several levels in this area, so some areas can only be reached by stairs.

Soon you will stumble upon a locked door. To open it, you need to collect five pieces of red lyrium. Their location is marked on the map. Once you've collected all five, restock your potions and get ready for a boss fight. Alexius.

Alexius uses offensive spells, puts a shield on himself and teleports around the room. In general, the battle with him is simple: let the warrior divert the boss's attention to himself, while the rest of the party members inflict maximum damage. When he has half his health left, Alexius will disappear, but a gap will appear in the room - you already know what to do with him. Once you close the gap, the boss will return to the battlefield. He will repeat the fade trick at a quarter health.

Will burn in our hearts ... / In Your Heart Shall Burn

After returning to the base, you will be able to chat with allies, get or even complete several tasks, and so on - use this time to complete the case in the Heaven. Please note that you will not return here again.

After activating the next story mission, you will see several cutscenes. Shortly after you regain control of the character, you will meet Cole, another potential party member. It will appear only if you have chosen to help magicians. Otherwise, Dorian will replace him, and you will meet Cole during the mission for the Templars. Depending on the choice of the side, opponents also change: either magicians or templars will attack you.

In this case, the tasks will be the same. Follow the markers, destroying opponents. You will need to defend one trebuchet and capture another. After that, you will be asked to return to the Hideout. Along the way, you can save several characters, which will bring additional experience. After reaching the church, watch the video and return to the battlefield.

Now you need to aim the trebuchet. At the same time, opponents will interfere with the heroes - we advise you to first kill them all and only then take up the guidance. At some point, a boss will appear - a knight Danam.

First, deal with his retinue - a gang of demons. After that, order your "tank" to distract the boss by itself: the monster has quite powerful attacks that leave no chance for the mages of the squad. Keep vulnerable allies behind the boss to minimize damage to them. At 75, 50 and 25 percent of his health, Danam will remove all negative effects from himself and establish a powerful barrier. The battle can be long, but as long as the "tank" holds the defense, distracts the enemy and drinks potions, there is nothing to worry about.

After defeating Denam, a long cutscene will be shown. When you can control your hero again, follow the signs - the path is absolutely linear. Soon you will be taught how to use a new ability, and then the hero will find himself in a snowy desert during a storm. Just go forward and slightly to the right.

From the Ashes

This part of the main quest is very short. You will be offered to walk around the new fortress, explore its main premises and chat with allies. Some sections of Skyhold will be locked - you can visit them on your next visit to the castle.

After talking with Josephine and Varrick, two main quests will open: Wicked Eyes and Wicked Hearts and Here Lies the Abyss. They can be performed in any order. Before leaving for one of them, we strongly recommend that you talk to all party members - you will see and learn a lot of interesting things.

Here Lies the Abyss

After talking with Varric's friend, you will gain access to a new location - Crestwood. Go to the meeting with the informant. Walk along the coast until you come across a cave - you will go there.

After the conversation, your path lies in another location, the Western Approach. Follow the directions on the marker. On the spot, you will be shown a cut-scene, followed by a battle with a horde of demons. Due to the relatively small size of the battle arena, it will be useful here to use the spell "Mark of the Rift" (Mark of the Rift). After finishing the fight, return to Skyhold.

From the command headquarters, go to Orlais to continue the mission. Before that, we strongly recommend that you deal with the party's equipment and free up space in your inventory, since you will not be returning to Skyhold soon.

The marker will guide you through the battlefield. Soon you will receive an optional task - to help the troops of the Inquisition in the battle. It is necessary to destroy three detachments of the Gray Guards, which are assisted by demons. For completing this objective, you will gain access to a chest with valuable loot.

Soon you will face a large crowd of enemies led by the Demon of Pride. First, deal with small opponents, and then take on the mini-boss. Keep vulnerable heroes away from his electric whips. The fight is complicated by a huge dragon, which periodically unleashes spells on your party. Try to disperse allies in the arena to minimize damage.

The marker will not let you get lost here. We advise you to carefully monitor the radar: its glow means that somewhere nearby there is an object needed to complete the quest Fears of the Dreamers ("Fears of dreamers"). In the northern part of the first zone, try to find a human skeleton and switch to search mode - this will initiate an additional task. The other four items are located in other areas of the location. It can only be completed until the end of this section of the game.

To restore your memories, kill the demons and press the action button next to their bodies. To advance in this location, you have to repeat this trick several times. The episode is generally linear - move forward until you face the boss, A nightmare.

Get ready for intense combat. Nightmare has a lot of health and powerful attacks. From time to time he will summon spiders, which must be quickly destroyed - otherwise they will be overwhelmed with numbers. Let the "tank" hold the boss's attention while the rest are busy with his minions. As soon as there is respite from small enemies, use the most powerful abilities on the Nightmare. At 25% health, the boss will summon strong demons to help - this is the best time to use the Mark of the Rift ability. Return to Skyhold after the victory.

Wicked Eyes and Wicked Hearts

In this mission, two things are more important than ever: the composition of the party and the choice of the correct lines in the dialogues. We recommend that you group at least one mage with the Barrier ability, as health potions will be in short supply. When communicating with the nobility, try not to say anything harsh or rude - flatter and agree. And, yes: before starting the mission, save the game to a separate slot.

The specificity of this task is that you will need to turn into a secular lion for a while. Good behavior, courtesy, and small favors for guests will increase the Inquisitor's rating. Long absence or dubious statements downgrade him. When it drops to zero, you will be kicked out of the ball and the mission will fail. So don't miss out on an opportunity to improve your rankings.

The location has something to do besides the main mission. You can collect figurines that open access to loot chests, search for incriminating evidence and much more. At the very beginning of the location, you can help the lady at the gate, who has lost something. The disappearance is at the fountain - use the search mode. By returning it, you will increase your rating - this will be enough for a start.

The marker will indicate the path and characters to talk to. After the official presentation, there will be an opportunity to communicate with the allies and study the situation. When finished, head to the lobby and proceed to the guest rooms. Find the "Hall of Heroes", go through it and exit from the west side. Follow the corridor until you reach the fountain. Here you need to climb to the second floor using a grid on the wall.

Once you're out of sight of the public, your rating will slowly diminish, so act quickly. The marker will mark the area to be searched. When finished, go down the stairs to the library and switch to search mode. After finding the evidence, return to the ball. Don't miss the opportunity to raise your rating a bit: only go to the ballroom after the second bell is struck - you know it's always a little late, right?

You will receive the Servant Wing Key. You can get there through the lower floor of the Hall of Heroes. Companions will join you at the entrance - do not forget to change their dress clothes for battle gear. You must have at least 10 rating points: every minute you will be deducted one point, so do not hesitate and deal with opponents quickly. Follow the trail of blood and corpses, and soon you will face the killer. After the battle and cutscene, return to the ball.

The Duchess will invite you to dance. Be as polite as possible - we advise you to always choose the right answer. After talking with the Duchess, you will have the last opportunity to turn in compromising evidence to Leliana.

Soon you will come to another rift, opened in the courtyard of the castle. Destroy the human enemies first, and then deal with the demons. The second wave of opponents will be much stronger than the first, so get ready. After that, you will be shown several cut-scenes, they will give you one important decision, and then you will be sent to the battle with the final boss of the location, the same duchess.

First, get rid of her minions. Let the mages put a shield on the party members at the first opportunity. The boss will teleport around the arena - try not to lose sight of it. When the duchess's health drops to 50%, she will summon assistants - deal with them as quickly as possible. Otherwise, this is a fight without surprises.

What Pride Had Wrought

As always, go on a mission through the command headquarters. In the first part of the assignment, all you need to do is follow the markers and fight off enemy troops. You will soon reach the ancient temple.

After reaching the large locked door, you will receive the task to conduct the ritual. This can be done at the statue on the lower level of the hall. You need to walk on special stoves in order to light them all. You cannot step on plates that have already been activated. The first puzzle shouldn't be a problem - it's pretty simple. After opening the door, proceed deep into the temple.

After the video, you will have a choice: immediately go after the enemies or observe the traditions of the elves and perform four rituals. In the first case, you will have to fight not only with the villain's henchmen, but also with the guards of the temple. In the second case, they will offer four puzzles with plates: by solving them, you will receive the support of the elves and fight with an alternative boss of the location.

After making your choice, follow the markers on the minimap. If you have completed the rituals, you can team up with the guards against the invaders. In this case, you will be given a guide who will show you the way through the location to the boss. If you decide to ignore tradition, then get ready to fight with both elves and templars. You will need to make the path through the maze yourself - watch the radar and use the search mode.

You will face the boss shortly. Depending on the past choice, it will be or Samson(if you chose mages as your allies), or Calperia(if you preferred templars).

Samson only attacks melee. He is assisted by minions, which should be disposed of immediately. When the boss starts spinning, withdraw the fighters. Disperse allies across the battlefield so that Samson's attacks do not hit several heroes at once. Take advantage of the tactical pause - party members are not always good at choosing targets, especially at the beginning of the battle.

Calperia often places fire runes on the floor - you need to run away from them and take allies away from there. She loves to teleport, is immune to stun, paralysis, and fear, and has high fire resistance. Lightning and cold are your best friends in this battle.

The Final Piece

A very short mission. Go to the altar through the command headquarters. If in the last assignment you allowed your companion to drink from the Well of Sorrow, then you only have to talk to someone. Otherwise, a dragon boss battle awaits you.

If the "tank" distracts the monster's attention to itself, and the ranged fighters do not crawl under the paws and tail of the monster, the battle will pass without any problems. We recommend that you abandon fire attacks, because they do very little damage to the creature. Cold, on the other hand, is very effective. You need to reduce the dragon's health to half, after which the cutscene will begin.

Doom Upon All the World

It's time for the final battle. We recommend that you make a separate save before starting the final mission. You will be able to complete some of the remaining quests after it, however, some of the content will not be available. So if you plan to explore Inquisition inside and out, this is your last chance.

Take at least one mage with the "Barrier" to the battle with the Coryphaeus, and preferably two at once. The boss deals a lot of damage, is immune to status effects and has a huge pool of health, so get ready for a long battle. In the first phase, the villain will summon demons, move around the arena and attack with powerful spells. "Barrier" and health potions will help keep the party on its feet.

After some time, the Coryphaus will move to a new arena - follow him. Don't forget to restock your potions along the way. The second phase is almost no different from the first. Except that the situation is different.

When the boss is at half health, he will be replaced by a huge lyrium dragon. As always, let the Shield Warrior distract the boss while the ranged heroes damage him. Focus the fire on the monster's paws to slow it down. Focus on healing and protecting heroes with melee weapons: do not spare potions and apply Barrier to them. Let the party spread out across the arena so that the dragon's fiery breath is not so dangerous. Don't forget the tactical pause.

Having finished with the dragon, switch back to the Coryphaeus. In the final stage of the battle, he will teleport much more often. In his arsenal there will be spells that cause damage to the entire squad. "Barrier" and healing potions will help you.

Actually, this is where the main campaign of Dragon Age: Inquisition ends, congratulations! One final tip: don't miss the post-credits scene!

After creating your character and watching the introductory cutscene, follow Cassandra's directions. Especially there will be nowhere to turn. Falling from the collapsed bridge, our hero and Kassandra will be attacked by the first enemies, and we will find our first weapon. For a single attack, click on the enemy [LMB], and for a series of attacks, keep the button pressed. You can pause the game by pressing and also switch to tactical mode by pressing [t] to issue orders to everyone in the group.

Having won the victory, we go along the frozen river, climb the hill at the end and jump down from the cliff again to the frozen river. Having defeated the next enemies, we go along the river and climb the steps near the wall. We go straight and again we go down to the frozen river. Further up the stairs. We go to the gap. There is already a battle going on, you only need to help, and when there are no enemies left, we watch the cut-scene. Now there are four of you in the squad. Having reached the wide river, we go to the other side, to the ruins, then along the stairs and the road of stones. Climbing the steps, another gap awaits you. In order to close it, you need to destroy several waves of enemies. After that, we approach the gap closer and click on it [RMB].

We open the gate and find ourselves on the bridge. We go to Leliana and the representative of the church. An unpleasant conversation will begin, at the end of which you will be offered several options for further passage. I recommend choosing the option “Go over the mountain” rather than “Go straight ahead with the soldiers”, because in the first case, you will be able to save the soldiers who have disappeared (in the near future you will be able to feel the bonus from this decision). We climb the stairs to the very top and go into the building in the mountain. Coming out on the other side, you will need to close another gap. After that, there will be a cut-scene in which the missing soldiers will thank for the rescue. We pass further and go down the stairs. Move on until we get to the primary big rip. Here you will be confronted by the first boss - the demon of pride, and if you saved the soldiers, they will help to defeat him.


As soon as the battle begins, you will understand that the demon has a protective aura, and he does not receive any damage. To weaken the defense, we close the gap. Now you can safely attack him. As soon as you see that the demon has protection again, close the gap again as soon as the opportunity arises and start attacking. Then we repeat until the demon is defeated. When he has 50% health remaining, other evil spirits will begin to appear from the gap, so it will be possible to close the gap only if you first interrupt all the newly arrived enemies. The same will happen at 25% health. As soon as we kill the demon, watch the cut-scene. That's it, the first chapter is over.

The danger has not passed

When you wake up, leave the hut. You will find yourself in the village. All exits from it are closed, so we go to the church on the hill to the left.


There we go into the farthest door and watch the cut-scene. You will need this room more than once, because the headquarters of the command will be located here. Then we leave the building and talk with the right people (quest "The Best in the Shelter"). We can immediately complete the additional tasks that they give. Then we return to the command headquarters and use the gained point of influence on the exploration of the area, where we need to find the Reverend Mother Giselle. In the future, this table can also be used to open new locations using influence points and send advisers on tasks to earn money for the Inquisition. We leave for an open area and find ourselves in deep paths. Focusing on the map (key [ m ]), go northwest, to the area marked with a purple circle. You will need to defeat several waves of enemies together with a detachment of the Inquisition. As soon as you do this, the next cutscene will begin.


Now you can either continue to complete side quests on the territory of the inner lands, or go to the headquarters of the command before proceeding further through the story. Remember that for each completed additional task, setting up a camp, opening new areas of the territory, influence points will be awarded, which can be spent on exploration, or the level of the Inquisition will increase. In order to return to the shelter, open the map and go to the world map (the button in the upper left corner), then select the shelter. Mother Giselle will be waiting for you in the church. Go to her and talk. You can also take the quest "Lotus and Roots" from her. We go to the headquarters and activate the mission "Enter the Church of Val Royeaux."


Having got to the right place, we go to the square, where we observe a cut-scene, after which the task "Defenders of Justice" is activated. Then we go to the street along which we came here. Here we will be greeted by the Great Enchantress Fiona, and the "Secret" quest will begin. We return to the Shelter, to the Headquarters of the command, This is where the quest ends.

Defenders of Justice

To start a mission, you need to scout a specific area on the command headquarters table. To do this, you must first gain 15 influence points. They are obtained by completing additional tasks. However, remember that if you started this task, then the mission with mages will be unavailable, and vice versa. So, if you nevertheless decided that the templars are more suitable replenishment of the ranks of the Inquisition, then we choose the mission and go to meet with the templars.


We watch the cut-scene. Then we approach the knight-templar Barris, who came out to meet us, and watch the next cut-scene. Next, we will be asked to hang flags in the order of respect. You can either agree and complete the proposed test, or refuse and go straight to the appointment. We approach Barris again. After the cut-scene we deal with the enemies, then we go out into the street and, following the markers, we go upstairs through the dining room to the desired door.


There we meet the Lord Seeker, who has prepared a surprise for us. Now we need to find a way out of the place where we ended up. The location is quite linear, so just walk past the mini-performances. When you reach a place where green dangerous liquid will pour from the rotating columns, first go to the right, go forward past the conversations. Wait for the column to turn so that you can move to the other side of the room, to a safe corner. There we go a little forward again and then follow into the room on the opposite side. When a new companion turns what is pouring from the columns into water, we pass on. When we reach a dead end, we go into the room on the right. Our stranger will be there again. After a short conversation, we approach the blue fire nearby and light a torch from it. Next, we light more lights in three rooms on the sides of this room. Further, for the passage of the side quest "Demonic Dogma", we go with a torch in our hands to the very beginning of the location, into a room with gratings, and open the cell to the left. There we take the key (it is visible only by the light of a torch). Then we return to the dead end and light a fire at the far stone wall. The wall will move aside, and we pass on. Next, we approach the door on the right, which we unlock with the found key. We light a fire there. Leaving the room, we again ignite the fire on the stone wall. After it moves away, we go into the room and read the inscription again, after which we get another bonus to the characteristics. Then we leave and go to the room to the right. Approaching the door, a passage will open up. Then we open the door and we pass along the street to the passages closed by bars. We pull the lever between them and the path further becomes open. Then, along the familiar path through the dining room, we go to our goal. In the dining room itself on the second floor there will be the third and last stone for the quest "Demonic Dogma". Having reached the designated place, we watch the video. Then we go through the southern door to the upper barracks. Here we need to rescue two veteran Templars. Remember that in the upper right corner there is a ticking time after which the main hall will fall. Therefore, when there is less than half of this scale, someone from the team will remind you that it is worth coming back and help (if the scale drops approximately up to 30%, then Barris will die later). Therefore, the most reliable solution would be to save one at a time, i.e. rescue one veteran, then return to the main hall. After interrupting the enemies, we wait until the scale is restored, again exit through the southern door, save another templar and return back to Barris and help him and the rest of the templars to destroy the enemies.

We go to the Hinterlands, to Redcliffe, where Fiona invited us. There will be a gap in front of the gate, after the closure of which we will be allowed inside. We return to the headquarters and here there will be two missions to choose from on the map: "Defenders of Justice" and "Secret". After that, as soon as the shot takes place and the video passes, we go back to the shelter. Along the way, you can help the blacksmith Harrit. We leave for the imperial wing. On the table on the left is gossip. We go up, run past the room for which the statues of the gall are required, we run straight and save the elf, we send her under the protection of Cullen. In the same room we take away the galla statuette. We run further along the marker, only we do not go to the door to which he points, but on the contrary.

We run along the open terrace above the garden and climb into the window of some class. There are treasures with a galla statuette and a whim coin. The tenth statuette is to the right of the quest door, down the stairs.

Having walked a little along the only possible path, we look at how gray guards are fighting with demons to the right of us, a little below. We can help them. We go even further and here, having already climbed the wall, we help our soldiers in the battle with the demons, thereby completing the first part of the necessary three in the task of capturing siege points.


We pass further in the only possible direction, and then we meet the demon of pride. Having dealt with him, we will capture one more point from the side mission. There will also be a chest with the banner of the gray guards. Without going down, we pass along the wall to the right. There we kill another demon of pride and smaller enemies and complete the side quest. Then we return a little back, and before the place where we met the first demon of pride, we go down. We follow the markers, destroying the demons along the way. After the cut-scene, we go up to the very top, not paying attention to the dragon that will attack you - you still won't be able to kill him. After the spectacular video, we find ourselves in a new place. Here, in parallel, you can complete the additional task "Fears of dreamers". To do this, we go south. There will be a table and a chair with a glowing orange ghost sitting on it.


We approach and activate the table. Then a marker will appear on the map. Using the intelligence key [ v ], we find a candle and assign it to a ghost. After that, we take the reward, and new places of riddles, of which there are five in total, together with the already solved five, will be displayed on the map. They will need to be performed in the same way. Also, if you walk along the northern wall, we find ourselves near a magic mirror, activating which, we improve some characteristics. Such mirrors will often be found in this location, look for them to make your hero stronger. Now we can climb the stairs to the place indicated by the marker. There will be another mirror there. Now we return to the fork, go down in the east direction and reach the character with whom you can talk. After the conversation, we interrupt all the demons again and activate the green glowing balls. Then we reach the barrier that needs to be protected. Then we go further to the fork. There is a road up to the north. On it we reach two demons of pride. After killing them, we examine the area where the card is flashing (press the [ v ]). We find a stuffed toy. The next stage of the "Fears of dreamers" quest starts, which is not displayed on the map (a soft toy must be put on the bed, which is nearby and displayed on the map). Next to the stuffed toy, there is a structure that looks like an altar.


By activating it, another side task "Broken Window" will start. Here you need to light five lights in the correct order, after which you can collect loot. Then we return back to the fork and along the bottom we reach the last riddle of the "Fears of dreamers" task. Then to the barrier, near which we fight until the timeline ends. We pass further and there we take away the reward for the task "Fears of dreamers", highlighted by a marker. Next, we follow the spirit and reach the boss. From time to time it will turn into invisibility. If you cannot target him, and at the same time he will attack, then switch to tactical mode and assign an attack there. At some point, help will come to the boss. After the victory, there will be a cut-scene during which you will have to make two serious choices.

The fruits of pride

The mission is selected on the command headquarters table. To open it, you must have 40 influence points. Please note that Cullen's mission "Before Dawn" will become unavailable after this quest, so if you want to complete it, do it before starting this story mission.


Once on the spot, we follow the markers, simultaneously fighting with the enemies. Having reached the temple and going inside, we go up the steps in front. There will be a locked door. To open it, you have to solve a small problem. Climb back down to the statue in the middle of the courtyard. Around her are square grates on the floor. If stepped on, they will light up blue. You need to go so as to light all such squares, but keep in mind that if you step on any cell twice or step on the ground, you will have to start all over again.

If you find a closed door that cannot be opened, then you are on the right track. In order to get for it, you will have to search for red lyrium in the vicinity. Part 2. The danger is not over

Part 3. In secret

Follow the indicated points until you find yourself at a fork. There are several points on your minimap. Two points belong to the allies, whom you must rescue from the dungeon, and one of the points points to the spellcaster Fiona. First you need to free your allies, since it will be much easier for the four of you to fight the enemies. After you get to Fiona, talk to her about everything. In order to replenish supplies of potions that increase health, you need to look for special hidden storage facilities. In appearance, they are boxes in which containers in the form of bottles lie. There will be new pointers on your minimap. You need to move along them and study the place where they lead. Move around the location in free mode, visit all the targets in any order of your choice. Remember that the location has several levels, so you need to use the stairs to move. Very soon you will have a locked door in front of you. In order to unlock it, you need to find 5 shards of red lyrium. They are all indicated on the minimap in the lower left corner of the screen. When 5 shards are collected, you will need to replenish stocks of health elixirs and boldly go to battle with the second boss, named Alexius.

Boss fight Alexius

Alexius only has spells in his arsenal. They are aimed at attacking, imposing a shield around themselves and teleporting around the perimeter of the room. But the fight is actually quite simple. The warrior must attack the mage, distracting him from other characters. The other team members should deal maximum damage to his health with the most powerful attacks. At the moment when the health reserve reaches half, the mage will disappear from the battlefield and a gap will form on the territory of the room. Deal with the demons and close the gap itself. When it is closed, Alexius will return to the "dance floor". He will do the same when his health is less than a quarter. Do everything as described above, and you will not experience any problems.

Part 4. Will burn in our hearts

When you return with your team to the command center, you will be able to chat with each of the allies. Here you can complete several quests, albeit side ones. Take advantage of the allotted time to increase the level of the character, by completing tasks, etc. You will be able to completely complete all the affairs in the Shelter. remember, that here you will not return again.

Start the next story mission and watch a series of videos. When you take control of the character, then you can meet with Cole. This is your potential partner. Cole will appear on your path only if you have chosen mages as allies. If you chose the templars as allies, then instead of Cole you will meet Dorian and vice versa (that is, you will carry out the mission for the templars, then there will not be Dorian, but just Cole). In any case, you will be faced with the same tasks that need to be solved. Follow the directions on the minimap in the lower left corner of the screen and deal with enemies. You will need to protect the trebuchet and capture another. After successfully completing the set goals, then return to the Shelter. On the way to the Shelter, you will be able to rescue several characters, for which you will receive additional units of experience. Get to the church, watch the video, and return to the battlefield.

After that, you need to aim the trebuchet at the indicated place. Your group will be actively interfered with by enemies. It is best to kill the enemies, and then focus on aiming the gun at the target. Finally, another boss will appear - a knight named Danam

Boss Knight Danam

First of all, kill the demons under his command. After that, select a character with a huge supply of health and melee weapons to distract the boss. Knight Danam does quite a lot of damage to the health of any character, and for the magicians of your team, they can become critical! All the weaker allies in terms of armor should be kept away from the enemy, behind him, in order to reduce the likelihood of causing damage to them. If you divide the strip into four quarters, then between each of them, Danam will drop absolutely all negative effects imposed on him, and will also erect a powerful energy shield around him. The fight can drag on for a very long period of time. But the most important thing to remember is the main "trick": a powerful character with a huge supply of health distracts the boss, drinks health potions in time, and the rest continue to attack him.

When Denam is defeated, watch a lengthy cutscene. After it, control over the characters will return to you. Follow the signs on the mini-map in the lower left corner of the screen, you won't be able to turn off the route. Learn to use the new ability of the protagonist, and then you will find yourself in a blizzard. Move straight, walk a little to the right and watch what happens.

Part 5. From the ashes

Perhaps one of the two shortest missions in the main storyline. Walk around the fortress, explore all of its main rooms and talk to allies and partners. In some corners of Skyhold you will not get to yet, but they will soon be open, as soon as you complete new tasks in the main quest line. Chat with Josephine, have a couple of phrases with Varric, after which two new tasks of the main branch will become available for completing. You can complete them in the order you wish. Part 6. There lies the Abyss

Chat about everything with Varric's buddy, after which you can go to a new level called "Crestwood". We deal with three detachments of Gray guards, who are fighting together with demons. If you complete the task, then a chest full of treasures will open for us. After you fight the forces of Darkness, the leader of which will be the Demon of Pride (we kill ordinary enemies, and then the mini-boss; in addition, the cobblestones thrown by the dragon will fly from above), we run further. The dragon does not lag behind and spits fire. You shouldn't spend a lot of time in one place. We look through the cut-scene and find ourselves on a new level.

We follow the mark on the mini-map, carefully watching the radar, since the fact that it is lit will indicate the nearest location of the item that is needed to complete the "Fears of the Dreamers" quest. In the north of the first zone, you need to find a human corpse, or rather his remains in the form of bones. We turn on the search mode and thereby activate an additional mission. In other locations, there are 4 more such items required for the quest. Before completing this part of the game, you must complete the task (optional).

In order to regain lost memories, we deal with the demons and press the action button near their bodies. To further advance through the location, you need to repeat these steps several times. We move on until a boss named Nightmare appears on the horizon.

Boss Nightmare

The fight will be intense enough. The boss has a very large health reserve, in addition, his attacks are capable of destroying any enemy. Periodically, small enemies - spiders - will appear on the battlefield. We destroy them as soon as they appeared, because they can overwhelm you with numbers, if you do not clear the battlefield in time. If you have a "tank" in your team, then it is on it that the boss's attention should be focused. The rest must kill Nightmare's subordinates. When there are no enemies, then with powerful attacks, with all possible abilities, we attack the Nightmare. The moment the boss has a quarter of his life reserve, he will call for help from powerful demons. This is where we use the ability "Break Point". After defeating the boss, we follow back to Skyhold.

Part 7. Evil eyes and evil tongues

This mission differs from the others in that the composition of your squad and the choice of answers in dialogues play an important role here. It is best to save at the beginning of the mission, and select an empty slot. In a group, you must have at least one wizard who has the ability to set up barriers. This is necessary for the reason that your arsenal simply does not have enough health potions. When we communicate with noble people, it is better not to answer them harshly and not be rude. Try to flatter where you need it. Agree on everything.

The task is interesting in that you have to pass for a noble person. Behave politely with everyone, be friendly, provide small services to guests, which will increase your Inquisitor rating. If you are absent for a long time, your rating will go down. The same goes for harsh responses. If the Inquisitor's rating is zero, then you will be kicked out of the ball. And the mission will fail. Use every opportunity to improve your ranking.

In addition to the main task, there is something to please yourself from additional quests. Try to find all the figurines to open secret chests with valuable items. Find incriminating evidence on noble people, etc. At the beginning of the location there is a lady standing next to the gate. She lost something. What she lost can be found next to the fountain, for which enter the search mode. Return her lost item, thereby increasing your rating. This is enough.

We follow the marker in order to move the correct route and find the necessary characters with whom we need to start a dialogue. After the official presentation takes place, you can talk with your allies, as well as study the situation in the area. Having completed everything, we go to the lobby and enter the room with the guests. We go "Hall of Heroes", cross it and leave the house on the west side. We follow through the corridor until we find a fountain. We rise to the second tier using the net hanging on the wall.

When we leave the audience, and no one will see us, the character's rating will significantly decrease. You need to work quickly. The marker marks the area on the terrain where you should search for everything. Having finished our searches, follow the steps down to the library and switch to the search mode. We find evidence, follow back to the hall where the ball is taking place. We increase the rating by talking with the nobility. We will proceed to the ball after the bell is struck twice. So, now you have a key with which you can get into the servants' wing. We follow the lower floor through the hall of heroes, we meet our companions. Be sure to change their smart clothes for combat gear. Remember that at this moment you need to have at least ten rating points on your account, because with every minute you will lose one unit. For this reason, you need to act quickly and confidently. We kill enemies, spending as little time as possible. We follow the path of blood and corpses. Their killer will appear. Fight him, watch the cut-scene and return back to the ball.

The Duchess invites the main character to dance. We try to be as polite as possible. Select the options on the right side in the dialog box. After talking with the duchess, you can turn in the compromising evidence to Leliana. This is your last chance to do it. Get to the new rift, which will be opened in the castle courtyard. Kill people and deal with demons. Defeat the second wave, which is much stronger than the first. Watch some cut-scenes, make a decision (important!) And follow the battle with the boss of this location.

Boss Duchess

First, kill ordinary opponents, try to use magicians to create a shield and additional protection from enemies. The Duchess moves around the arena constantly, so you need to be careful and not lose sight of her. When the health scale is half empty, the Duchess will call her subordinates. We kill them first, we act quickly. Then we finish off the Duchess.

Part 8. The fruits of pride

We follow to the headquarters and take a new task. In the first stage, we need to follow the marks on the minimap and compass, and kill enemies along the way. Soon we will find ourselves near the Ancient Temple. We approach a huge closed door, the task is updated and now you need to conduct a ritual. There is a statue on the ground floor in the hall. We follow the plates in a certain order and light them all. You cannot step on a slab that has been activated. I think you can handle the first task without any problems. We open the doors and go inside the Ancient Temple.

We watch the video and make a choice. You can go to the enemies immediately, or honor all the traditions of the elven2 people and perform 4 rituals. If you chose the first option, then you will have to fight the demons and servants of the temple. If you chose the second option, then you will need to solve four more riddles with plates. When they are solved, we will get elves into our ranks and fight with another boss of the location. So, you have made a choice - we follow the markers marked on the map. Boss Samson (Allies - Mages)

He will attack melee. To help, he calls on minions, which must be killed immediately. When the enemy starts to rotate, then we withdraw the fighters away. The squad must be distributed throughout the battlefield to defuse Samson's attacks. Use a pause and issue a command to your squad, as allies cannot always choose the right enemies to attack.

Boss Calperia (Templar Allies)

Fire runes will be placed on the floor. You must run away from these runes and remove allies from there. Calperia will be ported across the battlefield. Stunning against her will give you nothing. The same goes for fear and paralysis. In addition, she is practically not afraid of fire attacks. It is best to use lightning and frost against it.

Part 9. The last act

The mission is short enough. We follow to the altar, using the headquarters of the command. If during the last mission the companion drank the waters of their Well of Sorrow, then you just need to communicate with the specified character. If not, then there will be a fight with the Dragon.

Boss Dragon

Use the character "tank" to distract the Dragon. All ranged fighters should keep their distance from the boss - do not climb under his claws. If you act correctly, you will have no problems. Do not use fire attacks, since the dragon is still a fire-breathing creature. Therefore, you need to attack with cold. Defeat the Dragon to have half of its health remaining. Watch the cut-scene.

Part 10. Marvel at the perfection

And now comes the moment of the final battle. Save in a separate slot at the very beginning of the final mission. Now complete other quests if desired. On the other hand, even after the final battle, most of the quests will still be available, but some of the content will be lost forever. Battle with the Coryphaeus

So, in the battle with the Coryphaeus, you need to take at least one wizard who uses an effective spell that establishes a barrier. Better yet, take two of these. The boss is strong enough, deals a huge amount of damage. Status effects are nothing for him, and a huge pool of health makes him even stronger. The battle will be long, please be patient.

In the first stage, the Coryphaus summons demons, attacks with spells and constantly moves across the battlefield. Actively use the "Barrier" spell and healing potions. After a while, the Coryphaus will be on another battlefield, and you follow the boss. Stock up on a potion on the road.

At the second stage, you will need to do everything the same as at the first. The only thing that has changed is the setting.

And now the boss has 50% of the life reserve. A huge Dragon appears. The "tank" distracts the dragon on itself, and the characters using ranged weapons actively attack the enemy. Shoot at the paws of the enemy to slow down his movement. Heal heroes, use magic to protect characters with melee weapons. You should not spare potions and energy for laying barriers here. Your squad should be dispersed throughout the arena.

When the Dragon is defeated, the Coryphaus will reappear. Here he will begin to teleport more often, use new spells that cause damage to all members of your group.
