The main idea of a fairy tale in the land of eternal vacations. In the land of eternal vacations

The work tells about a little sloth for whom idleness was the norm. The whole story begins with the fact that Petya finally began his winter holidays, and he wholeheartedly decided to take a break. When there was a Christmas tree, the boy wished that the holidays with rest would never end, and that everyone would amuse him. Santa Claus fulfilled his wish and sent him to the land of eternal vacations. Petya was upset that he would participate in this without his best friend Valerik.

The next day was truly magical for him. Firstly, in the morning he did not hear the alarm clock, which was supposed to wake him up at school. Secondly, his parents did not insist that he go to school. Therefore, Petya boldly went out into the street, where he met a law enforcement officer who sent him to the Christmas tree. Arriving for the holiday, he saw neither children nor adults there. All gifts went to him only. The happy boy went home. Petya was warned that in this country he could easily order entertainment. And the main point will be that he will always be able to win in various competitions and competitions and receive prizes for this. In order to please Petya, the guys, having made him the goalkeeper, were defeated in a hockey match to the neighboring boys. Disappointed, they did not even take the sweets from him, which he wanted to treat them to.

At home, my mother announced that now she would not cook for him, and sweets would become his food. Our protagonist always rode a personal trolleybus that took him to a circus performance. There he had the opportunity to do various tricks. Once he wanted to show the guys how strong he is. To do this, he asked the Snow Maiden to invite on his behalf for entertainment. Petya in front of everyone easily lifted heavy weights, which delighted the children. Only Valerik did not believe his remarkable strength and asked how he did it.

Time passed. The guys organized an interesting circle at school, and constantly discussed something after visiting it. Only Petya visited everything - also the Christmas tree, where he studied almost all the poems. Frequent visits to the cinema did not please the boy either, because he had no one to discuss films with. He was tired of eating only sweets. He dreamed of a simple potato with bread. Petya was alone all the time, communicated with old people in the yard and knew all their illnesses.

Once our character decided to escape from this boring country and go to school. He met many obstacles on his way, but still Santa Claus, seeing that the boy realized his mistake, let him go to his friends.

The tale teaches us to be friendly, noble, hardworking.

Read a summary, a short retelling of the tale "In the land of eternal vacations" by chapters:
Most extraordinary prize.
Petka loved to relax very much. In the classroom, he always pestered the Mishka-alarm clock, so that he would say how much is left before the call. He never tired of resting during the summer holidays. And from the first of September I began to calculate how many days were left until the winter holidays.
Petya loved the winter holidays most of all. Already ten days before the new year, she began to call friends who could get a ticket for the Christmas tree and of course received the coveted ticket.
On the last day of winter holidays, Petya goes to the last Christmas tree in the House of a Medical Worker. There were many funny contests that Santa Claus held. The boy won the bicycle race and Santa Claus declared him the winner. But that was not all. And Santa Claus said that he would fulfill any wish of the boy.
And the boy wished that there was always a Christmas tree, that the holidays did not end and that everyone should entertain him.
He really wanted this desire to be fulfilled for his friend Valerik the hypnotist, but Santa Claus said that it did not work out that way.
Valerik was nicknamed the hypnotist after he alone did not succumb to the hypnotist during a hypnosis session, and he said that Valerik had a strong will. After that, friends tested Valerik's hypnosis in class, and the teacher, having first called Petya, suddenly changed her mind and called Mishka Parfenov.
And Santa Claus said that Petya's wish is being fulfilled. And that from tomorrow he will be in the land of eternal vacations.
The trolleybus is being repaired.
Miracles began in the morning. Dad told him to sleep on and not get ready for school. Mom even demanded that Peter did not take it into his head to go to school. Valerik did not run after the boy.
Petya went out into the street and waited for some magical vehicle to drive up to him and take him to the Land of eternal vacations. But no one drove up to him. But the guys didn’t seem to see him and didn’t pester him with questions.
At the crossroads, a policeman whistled at him and said that Petya was going in the wrong direction. And the boy realized that it was Santa Claus's agent.
He approached a trolleybus stop, where there was a long queue.
A trolleybus with the sign "For repair" pulled up and opened the back door. The conductor called Petya and he alone got into the trolleybus. The conductor warned that he should not buy a ticket, otherwise he would be fined.
The trolleybus brought Petya to the House of a Medical Worker, which also had a "Repair" sign on it.
Uncle Gosha, a mass soldier, greeted the young vacation and took him inside. Petya saw that he was completely alone, because all the other guys were studying.
Especially for Petya, the artists played a wonderful concert, and then he saw Snegurochka and remembered that he needed to register in the Land of eternal vacations. But since the boy did not yet have a passport, Snegurochka put a stamp on his ticket.
He began to participate in various competitions and won everywhere, because there were no other participants. As prizes, he was given packages of gingerbread, pastilles and chocolate.
Then Santa Claus told Petya the number of the Order Table, 22, where he was supposed to call and say his wishes. The Snow Maiden was supposed to answer him.
The boy walked home feeling like a record holder and a winner.
Sorrows and joys of the vacation.
In the yard, the guys rushed to Petya and he offered them packages with gingerbread and chocolate. But the guys were even scared that suddenly Petya himself would not have enough and refused to eat the treat.
The best sportsman of the court, Zhora, immediately suggested that Petya play as a goalkeeper, although before the boy was not even taken as a fan. Petya got into the goal and conceded the maximum number of goals. Everyone consoled him and said that the first pancake was lumpy.
And then Mishka invited Petya to play billiards instead. Petya asked Mishka what was at school and he replied that the teacher said that Petya was undergoing treatment.
This news immediately upset Petya and he went home. He did not understand what course of treatment he was talking about.
At home, Petya called Snegurochka and asked to make him the best goalkeeper. But the Snow Maiden said that she only accepts orders for entertainment. Then Petya asked why the teacher said about the course of treatment. The Snow Maiden replied that the boy's former teacher made a reservation, she wanted to say, a course of entertainment.
At home, the boy's parents said that it was just a disgrace - Petya had not yet eaten all the gingerbread. Mom even said that starting tomorrow she is introducing a new menu - for breakfast, lunch and dinner there will be only gingerbread cookies with marshmallow.
Petya was very happy and called Snegurochka to order a trip to the circus.

Today we have come to the circus for a reason!
In the morning a trolleybus came for Petya directly into the yard and took him to the circus. When the boy got out, he heard people wondering that the trolleybus was going without any wires, its horns dangling freely in the air.
There was a crowd of people at the entrance to the circus. But Petya was whispered to go down and to the right. He went to the circus through the service entrance and saw a clown. The clown anxiously asked if anyone had seen the boy and Petya replied that no one had seen him .. Then the clown said that Petya would be his "boost" today. The clown explained to Petya that he would have to sit in tenth place in the fifth row, and when he performed, he would call the boy out of the hall to show that the clown barbell was very heavy.
The clown even gave Pete money for ice cream.
The show began and a clown appeared, carrying a cart with huge weights. He called Petya and the boy ended up in the circus arena. He was scared and embarrassed, but he coped with the task. He pretended that the weights were too heavy and returned to his seat, wiping off the sweat.
Petya no longer watched the performance, wishing to call Santa Claus as soon as possible.
This is our Petya!
Petya called Snegurochka and asked him to make sure that the whole class could get to the next show in the circus. As an exception, Santa Claus decided to fulfill this wish, and the whole class went to the circus on Sunday.
And Petya waited until the clown summoned him to the arena, went down and easily lifted the weights. The clown said that the boy was phenomenally strong and began to call for others. But then a variety of spectators ran into the arena, everyone wanted to check the weights.
Then Petya shouted that there would be a very interesting number now, and ran backstage. He hastily called the Snow Maiden and asked him to make the weights heavy.
When he returned, many people poured into the arena. But the weights stood as if they were globally, they really became unbearable. The clown immediately understood this and left, saying that he could not work in such conditions.
And the guys surrounded Petya and congratulated him, marveling at his strength. Valerik alone took him aside and hypnotized him. He asked if the weights were real and Petya could not lie to him.
Then Petya called Snegurochka and asked her to make Valerik admire him. But the Snow Maiden said that it was impossible and did not even explain why. Petya realized that there was some kind of secret hidden here.
The mischievous monkey, the donkey ... and the clubfoot Bear.
The guys pestered Petya and asked him to raise a bench or something else, and he hardly refused. The boy was rescued by his mother, who invited him to listen to the gramophone.
Petya decided that it was necessary to take Valerik and the other guys to the House of the Medical Worker on Yolka. But when he called Sneugrochka, she refused to accept such an order. The tree was only for the holidays. Santa Claus also did not fulfill this desire, and Petya decided to turn to Valerik himself.
Valerik quickly came up with a way out. Having learned that at the performance, the artists dress up as monkeys and bears, he decided to enter the House of Culture wearing masks.
Valerik promised to come next Sunday, because during the week they went to school and were preparing for an important holiday - "Opening Day"
Unsolved riddle
On Sunday, Petya showed up very early near the House of the Medical Worker. The guys, already in masks, drove up next. Uncle Gosha, a mass soldier, began to mark them in a book and asked where the monkey and the donkey had come from, they were not there before. Zhora-bear said that they were with him, and that they did not have time to change their clothes.
Petya led the guys into the hall and began to show that everything around was happening only for him.
Santa Claus said that the animals were somehow strange, in some masks without skins, and Petya hurried to invite them to participate in bicycle races. The monkey won them and Petya said that he was very entertained. He began to demand to give the monkey a package with gingerbread and marshmallow, but Santa Claus doubted.
Then the donkey won the ring throwing competition, and the bear turned out to be smarter than Petya in the riddle competition.
Zhora and Mishka were glad that so many artists were performing for Petya, and regretted that there was no power competition in which Petya would have won them.
But Valerik still did not believe in Petya's magic power and the boy did not understand why this was happening.
Mom prescribes medicine
The next day, my mother decided to have a serious talk with Petya. She was worried that the boy rarely went to the movies. She invited Petya to go to the cinema every day before dinner, to the nearby new cinema, where her friend worked as a usher.
Petya said that he would walk every other day, but with Valerik.
He ran to Valerik and delighted him with this news.
But Valerik said that he could not go to the cinema every other day. He has a lot of lessons and they are preparing for Opening Day.
But he urgently needs to go to the zoo, and he is either registered or repaired.
Petya ran home and called the order table. His order was accepted.

I want to be a Yunukr!
Petya arrived at the zoo by trolleybus and the guys were already there. The zoo was closed. Petya asked Valerik if he saw that he was traveling alone in a trolleybus. And Valerik asked if Petya was crazy.
Then the guide Lvov appeared and began to ask from which country Petya had arrived. Petya replied that from the Land of eternal vacations and Lvov took the guys to the zoo. Valerik said that the guys urgently need to see rabbits and white mice.
Valerik asked Lvov for an hour and a half about rabbits and mice, and wrote down his answers.
Then the guys rode a donkey with bells. And finally we went to the exit. Everyone looked at Petya with delight, and Valerik sarcastically asked if he was a foreigner.
At home, Petya called Santa Claus and began to ask him to bewitch all the guys, but to bewitch only Valerik. Santa Claus refused Petya.
Then Petya began to ask him to tell what the guys were preparing for the Opening Day. And Santa Claus told the boy that a circle of young people would open on this day.
Petya ran to Valerik and began to ask who the Yunukra were. Valerik replied that they were young tamers. And when Petya began to ask him to be admitted to the circle, he refused, citing the boy's weak willpower.
But Petya found out that there were not enough purebred dogs in the circle.
Renata falls in love with me
Petya ordered Renata, the neighbors' dachshund, to fall in love with him. And the dog began to bite the owners and growl at them. But with Petya she walked with pleasure and took food only from his hands. The veterinarian, who was shown Renata, said that the dog is healthy and advised him to give it to the boy, since the dog loves him so much. Petya named the dachshund Lynx.
He came to Valerik and found out that the Yunukra were going to publish a newspaper describing terrible and funny cases from their practice. They even redid various proverbs to make it funnier.
Valerik asked Petya to give them the tax, because Petya himself cannot go to school and therefore cannot be a Yunukr.
He ran to school with Mishka and Zhora, and Petya trudged home. At home, he called Snegurochka and asked her to return the tax to the owners.
Retired pioneer
Petya felt that he was tired of entertainment. He entertained himself every day according to his program. And also began to visit the red corner and play with pensioners. Once he even started playing hockey with his uncle Roma, a former athlete. But when he caught the puck, Uncle Roma fell, he felt bad. He said that every age has its own entertainment.
And Valerik laughed, calling Petya a pioneer-pensioner.
Dangerous area in the last row
For the whole day Petya had been starving, he could not see the gingerbread and pastilles. He asked a neighbor for black bread, but the neighbor brought him gingerbread.
The ticket-girl from the cinema told Petya that the last row where he was sitting was called the "dangerous zone" and they stopped taking tickets there. After all, Petya told everyone what would happen next in the film.
Petya promised to talk mentally. But on the same day, he prompted the development of the plot to two boys and they promised to beat Petya.
At home, Petya heard the guys running up the stairs and singing the Yunukr hymn. He asked Valerik to allow him to sing with them, but Valerik refused. Although he invited Petya to come to the opening as an excursionist. Petya himself wanted to become a Yunukr and refused. He felt that he was losing his best friend Valerik, and decided to flee from the Land of eternal vacations.
Opening day - closing day
In the morning Petya tried to call Snegurochka, but her phone was busy. The boy packed up his portfolio and went to school through the courtyards, fearing to meet the enchanted policeman.
Petya began to climb over the gate and the janitor tried to stop him. The boy jumped down from the high gate and fell, and a policeman immediately appeared. He said that Petya was a victim and should be sent for treatment. An ambulance immediately pulled up.
An ambulance brought Petya to the House of a Medical Worker and Santa Claus was already waiting for him. Petya immediately began to ask to be discharged from the Country of eternal vacations, but Santa Claus said that it was more difficult for them to leave the country than to register in it. But nevertheless, he agreed to close the Land of eternal vacations and sent Petya to the Snow Maiden.
Petya asked to help him with his studies, but Santa Claus replied that his comrades would help here.
The Snow Maiden breathed on a ticket with a residence permit, and now an inscription appeared on it that Petya had been treated for a month and a half in the hospital.
Petya cheerfully ran to school, hoping to be in time for the Opening Day.
And then he arranged a feast for the whole courtyard from accumulated gingerbread cookies, marshmallows and chocolates
After many years
Many years later, the matured Valerik came to visit Petya. They stood and looked at the courtyard, which had hardly changed, and suddenly Valerik said, "Look at me in both eyes. Listen to me in both ears." And then Petya remembered how, on the last day of the winter holidays, Valerik hypnotized him and came up with a fairy tale about the Camp of eternal vacations. And Petya believed that it all really happened.
Although the House of Medical Workers really was. And the Christmas tree was there. And a circle of young tamers.

Drawings and illustrations for the fairy tale "In the land of eternal vacations"

BEFORE THE TALE HAS BEEN STARTED ...

I know this road by heart, as a favorite poem that I have never memorized, but which I will remember myself for the rest of my life. I could have walked along it with my eyes closed, if pedestrians did not rush along the sidewalks, and cars and trolleybuses did not rush along the mt.

Sometimes in the morning I go out of the house together with the guys who run the same road in the early hours. It seems to me that just now my mother will lean out of the window and shout after me from the fourth floor: "You forgot your breakfast on the table!" But now I rarely forget anything, and even if I did, it would not be very decent to catch me up with a shout from the fourth floor: after all, I have not been a schoolboy for a long time.

I remember once my best friend Valerik and I counted for some reason the number of steps from home to school. Now I take fewer steps: my legs are longer. But the path continues longer, because I can already, as before, rush at breakneck speed. With age, people generally slow down a little, and the older a person is, the less he wants to rush.

I have already said that in the morning I often go along with the guys along the path of my childhood. I look into the linden trees for boys and girls. They wonder, "Have you lost anyone?" And I really lost what is already impossible to find, to find, but also impossible to forget: my school years.

However, no ... They did not become only a memory - they live in me. Do you want them to speak? And will they tell you many different stories? .. Or better, one story, but one that, I'm sure, has never happened to any of you!

MOST UNUSUAL PRIZE

In that distant time, which will be discussed, I really loved ... to have a rest. And although by the age of twelve I hardly had time to get too tired of something, but I dreamed that everything would change in the calendar: even if on the days that sparkle with red paint (there are so many of these days on the calendar!) to school, and on days marked with ordinary black paint, they have fun and rest. And then it will be possible with complete novelty to say, I dreamed, that attending school is a real holiday for us!

In class, I so often bothered Mishka the alarm clock (his father gave him a huge old watch that was hard to wear on his wrist) that Mishka once said:

Don't ask me anymore how much is left before the call: every fifteen minutes I will make a sneeze.

And so he did.

Everyone in the class decided that Mishka had “a chronic cold, and the teacher even brought him some kind of recipe. Then he stopped sneezing and turned to coughing: the guys didn’t flinch from coughing as much as from Mishka’s stunning“ apchi ” ! ".

During the long months of summer vacations, many of the guys got tired of resting, but I did not get tired. From the first of September I was already starting to calculate how many days were left until the winter holidays. I liked these vacations more than others: although they were shorter than the summer ones, they brought with them Christmas holidays with Santa Clauses, Snow Maidens, and special gift bags. And the bags contained marshmallows, chocolates and gingerbreads so beloved by me at that time. If I were allowed to eat them three times a day, instead of breakfast, lunch and dinner, I would agree right away, without thinking for a single minute!

Long before the holiday, I was compiling an accurate report of all our relatives and friends who could get tickets for the Christmas tree. About ten days before January 1, I started calling.

Happy New Year! With new happiness! - I said on the twentieth of December.

You congratulate very early, - the adults were surprised.

But I knew when to congratulate: ve tickets for the Christmas tree were distributed everywhere in advance.

Well, how do you finish the second quarter? - were always interested in relatives and friends.

It is inconvenient to somehow talk about this very ... - I repeated a phrase I had once heard from my dad.

For some reason, adults immediately concluded from this phrase that I was an excellent student, and ended our conversation with the words:

You ought to get a ticket for the Christmas tree! As they say, finished the job - walk boldly!

It was just what I needed: I loved walking!

But actually, I wanted to change this well-known Russian proverb a little - to drop the first two words and leave only the last two: "Walk boldly!"

The guys in our class dreamed of different things: to build airplanes (which were then still called airplanes), to drive ships on the seas, to be chauffeurs, firefighters and carriage drivers ... And I was the only one who dreamed of becoming a mass activist. It seemed to me that there is nothing more pleasant than this profession: from morning till night to have fun yourself and amuse others! True, all the guys openly talked about their dreams and even wrote about them in essays on literature, and for some reason I kept silent about my cherished desire. When I was asked point blank: "Who do you want to become in Budum?" - each time I answered differently: now as a pilot, now as a geologist, now as a doctor. But in fact, I still dreamed of becoming a mass activist!

Mom and Dad talked a lot about how to raise me properly. I loved listening to their debate on this topic. Mom believed that "the main thing is books and school", and dad invariably reminded that it was physical labor that made a man out of a monkey and that therefore, first of all, I must help adults at home, in the yard, on the street, on the boulevard and in general everywhere and everywhere. I thought with horror that if someday my parents finally came to an agreement among themselves, I was lost: then I would have to study only for the A's, read books from morning till night, wash dishes, mop the floors, go shopping and help everyone , who is older than me, carry bags around the streets. And at that time, almost everyone in the world was older than me ...

So, mom and dad were arguing, but I did not obey one person, so as not to offend the other, and did everything the way I wanted to myself.

On the eve of the winter holidays, conversations about my upbringing flared up especially hotly. Mom insisted that the size of my fun should be in "direct proportion to the marks in the diary," and dad said that fun should be in the same exact relationship with my "work success." Having argued among themselves, both of them brought me a ticket to the Christmas tree performances.

It all started with one such performance ...

I remember that day well - the last day of winter break. My friends were already eager to go to school, but I didn’t rush ... And although it would have been possible to form a small coniferous forest from the Fir trees I visited, I went to an ordinary matinee - to the House of Culture of Medical Workers. The health worker was the sister of my mother's sister; and although neither before, nor now, I could not say exactly who she is to me, I received a ticket to the medical Christmas tree.

Entering the lobby, I raised my head and saw a poster: HELLO TO THE PARTICIPANTS OF THE CONFERENCE ON THE PROBLEM OF LONGEVITY!

And in the lobby hung diagrams showing, as it was written, "the increase in the decline in mortality in our country." The charts were cheerfully framed by colorful lights, flags, and furry pine garlands.

I remember that I was very surprised that someone was seriously concerned with "the problems of the struggle for longevity": I did not imagine that my life could ever end. And my age brought me grief only because I was too small. If strangers were interested in how old I was, I said that I was thirteen, slowly throwing on a year. Now I do not add or subtract anything. And the "problems of the struggle for longevity" do not seem so incomprehensible and unnecessary to me, as then, many years ago, at a children's matinee ...

Among the diagrams, on plywood boards, were written various advices necessary for people who want to live longer. I remembered only advice that it is necessary, it turns out, less gray in one place and more movement. I memorized it in order to retell it to my parents, who repeated the case: "Stop running around the yard! If only I could sit a little in one place!" And it turns out that sitting is just not necessary! I read a big slogan: "Life is movement!" - and rushed to the big hall to take part in bicycle races. At that moment, of course, I could not have imagined that this sports competition would play a completely unexpected role in my life.

It was necessary to make three rapid circles on a two-wheeled bicycle along the edge of the auditorium, from which all the chairs had been removed. And although old people are rarely sports judges, Santa Claus was the judge here. He was standing as if in a stadium, with a stopwatch in hand, and timed each driver. More precisely, he kept a stopwatch in smart silver-colored mittens. And he was all smart, solemn: in a heavy red fur coat, stitched with gold and silver threads, in a high red cap with a snow-white top and with a beard, as expected, to the very waist.

Usually everywhere, and even at festive matinees, each of my friends had some special hobby: one loved to slide down a wooden slide - and did it so many times in a row that he managed to wipe his pants in a few hours; the other did not leave the cinema, and the third settled in the shooting range until he was reminded that others also wanted to shoot. I had time to experience all the pleasures to which the invitation card was entitled: and go down the hill, and miss the shooting range, and catch a metal fish from the aquarium, and spin on the merry-go-round, and learn a song that everyone has known by heart for a long time. Therefore, I came to the bike races a little tired - not in the best shape, as the athletes say. But when I heard Santa Claus loudly proclaim: "The winner will receive the most extraordinary prize in the history of Christmas trees!" - strength returned to me and I felt absolutely ready to fight.

Nine young racers swept through the hall before me, and the time of each was loudly, throughout the hall, announced by Santa Claus.

Tenth - and last! - announced Grandfather Moro

His assistant, a mass worker, Uncle Gosha, pulled up a shabby two-axle bicycle toward me. Until now, I remember everything: and that the top cover of the bell was torn off, and that green paint peeled off on the frame, and that there were not enough spokes in the front wheel.

Who doesn't like to relax? Any schoolchild will be delighted if the vacation is extended by a week or two. But even this was not enough for the hero of A. Aleksin - at an ordinary New Year's party, he wished that the holidays would last forever ...
Anatoly Aleksin

(Excerpt, abridged)

... On the bike races, I turned up a little tired. But when he heard Santa Claus loudly proclaim: "The winner will receive the most unusual prize in the history of Christmas trees!" - strength returned to me, and I felt absolutely ready to fight.
Nine young racers swept through the hall before me, and the time of each was loudly, throughout the hall, announced by Santa Claus.
- The tenth - and the last! - announced Santa Claus.
His assistant, a mass worker, Uncle Gosha, pulled up a shabby two-wheeled bicycle to me.
- Old, but a war horse! - said Uncle Gosha.
Santa Claus fired from a real starting pistol, and I pressed the pedals ...
I didn’t ride a bike very well, but Santa Claus’s words sounded in my ears all the time: “The most extraordinary prize in the history of New Year trees!” These words urged me on: after all, perhaps, none of the participants in this competition liked to receive gifts and prizes as much as I did.
And I rushed to the "most extraordinary prize" faster than everyone else. Santa Claus took my hand, which was drowned in his mitten, and raised it high.
- I announce the winner! - he said so loudly that all the children in all the halls of the House of Culture heard.
Immediately, the mass activist Uncle Gosha appeared nearby and exclaimed in his always joyful voice:
- Let's say hello guys! Let's welcome our record holder!
He clapped so insistently that he immediately drew applause from all over the hall. Santa Claus waved his hand and established silence:
- I not only declare the winner, but also award him!
- What? .. - I asked impatiently.
- Oh, you can't even imagine!
I thought there was something strange in the voice of Santa Claus: he spoke like a magician, confident that he could do something extraordinary, create a miracle - and amaze everyone!
And I was not mistaken ...
- In fairy tales, sorcerers and wizards usually ask to think of three cherished desires, - continued Santa Claus. - But it seems to me that this is too much. You set a bicycle record only once, and I will grant one of your wishes! But then - any! .. Think carefully, do not rush.
I realized that such a case presented itself to me for the first and last time in my life. I could ask my best friend Valerik to remain my best friend forever, for all my life! I could ask that the teachers' tests and homework be done by themselves, without my involvement. I could have asked Dad not to make me run for bread and wash dishes! I could ask that these dishes should be washed by themselves or never get dirty. I could ask ...
In short, I could ask for anything. If I knew how my life and the lives of my friends would develop in the future, I would probably ask for something very important for myself and for them. But at that moment I could not look ahead, I could only raise my head and see what was around: a shining Christmas tree, shining toys and the ever-shining face of the mass worker Uncle Gosha.
- What do you want? - asked Santa Claus impatiently.
And I answered:
- Let there always be a tree! And may these holidays never end! ..
- Do you want to always be the same as today? And so that the holidays never end?
- Yes. And so that everyone should entertain me ...
My last phrase didn’t sound very good, but I thought: “If he will make everyone entertain me, then it means that both mom and dad, and even teachers, not to mention everyone else, will have to provide me with only pleasure. "
Santa Claus was not at all surprised:
- Well, these desires can be counted as one. I will make sure that the holidays and entertainment for you never end! .. From tomorrow morning you will find yourself in the Land of Eternal Vacations!

Holidays with a tree and a prize

The hero of this extraordinary story is the boy Petya, who was very fond of the holidays, especially the New Year ones, with gifts and prizes. This instructive story happened to him at the tree. Discarding the first half of the saying, he walked boldly. At the New Year's holiday, Petya managed to ride a bike the fastest, and Santa Claus fulfilled it "Let the tree remain forever, let the holidays never end and let everyone entertain me."

Petya was a little embarrassed only by the fact that his best friend Valerik would not be able to participate in this. Meanwhile, Santa Claus solemnly announced: "You will be in the land of eternal vacations." The summary of the tale will tell how our hero liked to be alone all the time and to rest, rest, rest.

First impressions

In the morning the alarm clock did not ring, and Petya, at the insistence of his parents, did not go to school: miracles began. And when he went out into the street, the police officer-envoy of Santa Claus met him, put him on a trolley bus, which brought him to the Christmas tree. Only there it was not so. There was no cheerful noise of children, running, laughter. Petya earned all the prizes and, loaded with sweet New Year's gifts, went home.

Santa Claus warned him that they have an order table in the country of eternal vacations (a brief summary of this will show), in which the Snow Maiden takes orders for entertainment by phone. Petya was very happy and chewed gingerbread and marshmallow on the way back. And most importantly, now he will always win all competitions, competing with himself, and will always be faster than everyone and, most importantly, smarter. He just grew up in his own eyes.

In the yard and at home

The guys, in order to please him, were entrusted to defend the hockey goal and, in disgrace, lost to the neighboring yard. And the best friend, Valerik, said: "You wanted to stand at the gate, the guys entrusted them to you. Did you enjoy it?" And every one of them refused to eat Petya's sweets, since they were meant only for him. At home, my mother said that she was setting a special diet for him: for breakfast he would eat mint gingerbread, for lunch - marshmallow, Tula gingerbread, and for dinner - honey gingerbread.

The entertainment continues

For Petya, to take him somewhere, a personal trolleybus came and took him to the circus, for example, where he performed a small "miracle". He helped the strong clown to pretend that it was impossible to lift the lightest weights. But this seemed to him not enough. Petya wanted to show off to the guys from the yard what a strong man he is. On the phone, he begged the Snow Maiden to let them all go to the show.

And when he went on stage, to indignation and general scandal, he lifted the seemingly heavy weights. Then he ran backstage and over the phone asked Snegurochka to make the weights really heavy. The guys from the yard admired him, only Valerik shook his head and asked what the trick was. Almost everything is possible in the land of eternal vacations, a brief summary of this shows us, but you cannot mix lies with life and demand respect for it.

Loneliness

All the guys went to school, they came up with a new interesting circle, into which there was no way for Petya, they all discussed something and had fun. And Petya sadly went to the Christmas tree, where he already knew everything by heart, and nothing about it pleased him. He went to the cinema every day and knew all the films by heart, but there was no one to discuss them with. He was completely bored and yearned for simple food that he had not eaten in a long time. He wanted simple brown bread and fried potatoes, but here everything was candy and gingerbread. Petya asked for permission from Santa Claus to go with the guys to the zoo, which was closed for 10 days, and the guys really needed to get there. But why, they did not tell Petya. So in the country of eternal vacations, a summary of this tells, Petya was tortured by loneliness. He talked only with pensioners in the yard and now knew who was sick with what. His life was "very interesting."

Running to school

One morning he decided to escape from the land of entertainment to school. On this way, he met many obstacles: the janitor was against it, the policeman, finally, Santa Claus himself, because he would not have a job. But Santa Claus took pity and released Petya. Aleksin tells such a wise, fabulous story. "In the land of eternal vacations", the summary of which bears deep meaning, is a fairy tale that brings up children. Petya finally realized that only friendship helps the weak to become stronger, gives the spineless one will and courage, and the callous heart makes him kinder.
