Marina Tsvetaeva was born on October 8 (September 26, old style) 1892 in Moscow. In 1910, using her own funds, she published her first collection of poems - "Evening Album". The work of the young poetess was positively assessed by Valery Bryusov, Nikolai Gumilyov and Maximilian Voloshin.

In 1912 she married the writer Sergei Efron, in the same year the daughter Ariadne was born in the family. The Revolution and the Civil War separated the poet and her husband. Efron was a member of the White movement, from the early 1920s he lived in exile.

In 1922 Tsvetaeva received permission to leave Soviet Russia and, together with her daughter Ariadna, went to Berlin, where she met her husband. During the years of emigration, the collections "Psyche", "Craft", etc. were published. In 1924, "The Poem of the Mountain" and "The Poem of the End" were created. In 1928, a collection of poems "After Russia" was published in Paris. In the fall of 1940, the fate of the young poet Arseny Tarkovsky and Marina Tsvetaeva unexpectedly crossed, and even in such critical and significant times! He was 32 years old, she was 47.
“This was my last love,” wrote Marina. Soon she left for evacuation to Elabuga on the Kama.

Arseny (Nikita Sedov): “I learned about this in Moscow in early September before I left for the front. About death, but not about poetry ... Tsvetaeva's last poems are addressed specifically to me ... "

Poetry readings and exhibitions, performances and films, thematic lectures and art media happening - the site has collected the most interesting events that have prepared theaters, museums and libraries for Marina Tsvetaeva's birthday.

The 125th anniversary of Marina Tsvetaeva began to be celebrated long before the most memorable date. For example, back in May, after the renovation, the memorial apartment of the poetess. The main celebrations will take place on Sunday 8 October, but the gala evenings and concerts will continue until the end of the month.

Library named after E.A. Furtseva on October 8 for the festive program. Poets and poetesses will read their favorite works by Marina Tsvetaeva, lecturers will tell about interesting facts from her creative and personal life. The library will also host discussions, stand-ups and creative conferences.

The play "Psyche" of the "Studio-69" theater will reveal the theme of a woman's soul, rushing about in search of itself. The artist Polina Nechayeva will present an exhibition of one painting, and the philologist and presenter of the special course "Club of Russian Poetry Lovers" Larisa Nechaeva prepared a lecture on Tsvetaeva's personal life, creativity, secrets and riddles.

The guests will read aloud excerpts from the poetess's diaries and watch films dedicated to her: a documentary by Irina Rochrig “Three heroines in search of their homeland”, a short film by VGIK graduate Marina Alina “Attempt at Home” and a picture by Marina Migunova “Mirrors”.

"Unwritten Memories"

The pre-premiere screening of the play "Unwritten Memories" will take place on October 8 at 20:00 as part of the XX International Scientific Conference "Pharaoh's Wheat: Marina Tsvetaeva's Legacy in the XXI Century".

Artists of the Moscow Open Student Theater and employees of the Marina Tsvetaeva House Museum worked on the production. The performance is based on the documentary work of one of the leading contemporary color experts Veronica Losskaya. Directed by Georgy Dolmazyan.

Marina Tsvetaeva did not make it into the newsreels, her voice was not recorded on a single disc. She is remembered by several dozen photographs, portraits and handwritten heritage, as well as the memories of her contemporaries - relatives, friends, acquaintances, testimonies recorded from the words of storytellers, often anonymous. These stories about the life of Marina Tsvetaeva complement her poetry, prose, diary entries and letters.

The play "Stone Angel"

Igor Yatsko made a play based on Marina Tsvetaeva's play, despite the widespread belief that her works are not suitable for staging. The Stone Angel was considered lost and was only found in the mid-1960s.

The Globus Hall has become an ideal space for the implementation of the director's intention: the three-level structure corresponds to the dimensions in which the action unfolds. It begins on earth - in a medieval city near a fountain with a stone angel, to which young girls come to tell about their unhappy love, and only one, Aurora, about a happy one, about love for him - to the Angel.

Following the heroine, the viewer will descend into the lower world - the scene of the "Globe" is arranged in such a way that this descent should be taken literally. Venus and Cupid reign here, sending mental suffering to mortals. From heaven, from under the dome of the hall, an Angel will appear, already in the flesh, to disperse the dark darkness of the underworld and lead the deceived soul of Aurora to the Mother of God.

The director combines a dramatic performance with a small concert featuring bells, harpsichord, organ, lutes and a tambour-pipe. The performance features clavier and lute music by European composers of the 16th and early 17th centuries, performed by the multi-instrumentalist Pyotr Aidu. You can watch the production on October 8 at 19:00.

Art mediahappening "Above the Abyss"

The Stimul recreation center is waiting for its guests on October 8 at 17:00. The project is based on the work "Poem of the End". This is a lament for already ended love in the scenery of old Prague: an unsuccessful romance with Konstantin Rodzevich divided Marina Tsvetaeva's life into before and after.

The poetry will be read by Sergei Lepsky, an actor, director, laureate of the Union of Theater Workers of Russia prize "For directorial innovation in the theater". Guests will hear Alfred Schnittke's music performed by the Otom Group string ensemble and violinist Artem Givargizov, laureate of the international competition Virtuosi of the XXI century, composer-arranger of electronic music.

Olga Dmitrakova, a former member of the main cast of the Todes show-ballet, founder and head of the Assorti pop dance studio, is taking part in the project as a choreographer and performer.

Exhibition “Letter to a Poetess. To the 125th anniversary of Marina Tsvetaeva "

At the exhibition in the House of Burganov, visitors will see the sculptural and graphic works of Alexander Burganov, which were influenced by the work of Marina Tsvetaeva. The central work - the sculptural composition "Letter" - is dedicated to the novel in letters of Marina Tsvetaeva and Rainer Maria Rilke. His plot and images formed the basis of a number of Burganov's works.

The exhibition will open on October 8 at 11:00. At its closing on November 8, guests will hear the history of the novel, as well as the poems of the poetess. The evening will end with a fire show.

The exhibition in the State Museum - Humanitarian Center "Overcoming" is also dedicated to the 170th anniversary of the birth of the father of the poet, philologist and art critic Ivan Tsvetaev.

In this mansion on Tverskaya lived Princess Zinaida Volkonskaya, who turned her house into a literary and musical salon, where Alexander Pushkin, Pyotr Vyazemsky, Adam Mitskevich, Vasily Zhukovsky and other prominent representatives of the golden age of Russian culture visited. Here was the famous Greek Room with many ancient sculptures, paintings and other exhibits. Later, Volkonskaya had the idea to create an aesthetic museum at the Imperial Moscow University. During her lifetime, her project did not materialize, but the plan was implemented in 1912 by Ivan Tsvetaev when he created the Museum of Fine Arts named after Emperor Alexander III.

As a tribute to the tradition of Zinaida Volkonskaya's salon, the curators gave a special place to casts of sculptures on antique themes. In the exhibition hall "Theater of the Age of Aristocrats" will be shown copies of the first antique sculptures and antique artifacts from the Tsvetaev family collection.

On October 21, the musician will turn 16 years old. He is the winner of prizes at prestigious competitions held both in Russia and abroad. Alexander Malofeev gives concerts at the Bolshoi Theater, the Galina Vishnevskaya Opera Center, the Moscow International House of Music, the Mariinsky Theater, the Kaufman Center in New York, the Paris Philharmonic.

"To Her Poems": an evening dedicated to the 125th anniversary of the birth of Marina Tsvetaeva

At the concert "To Her Poems", which will begin in the House-Museum of Marina Tsvetaeva on October 24 at 19:00, the audience will hear vocal works on the poems of the poetess. The program will include romances and songs.

The musical compositions will be performed by the laureate of international vocal competitions Elizaveta Bokova. The singer will be accompanied by pianist Anastasia Kazmerchuk.

Creative laboratory of the Moscow State Pedagogical University (MPGU) October 28 the literary and musical composition "Mother and Music" based on the autobiographical work of the same name by Marina Tsvetaeva.

Fragments from this book about the poet's acquaintance with music will be performed. The guests will travel into the past together with Oleg Bordukov, a graduate of the Moscow State Pedagogical University, the host of the program, soloists of the State Academic Bolshoi Theater choir Marina Minina (mezzo-soprano) and Alexander Perepechin (bass), a student at the Moscow State Conservatory named after P.I. Today is 125th anniversary of the birth of Marina Tsvetaeva... An amazing poet, an amazingly sensitive woman who lived a difficult life, loved, suffered, lost in time, lost her country and never managed to find her place in the new state.

And this is for daughters. The poems were written in the first half of April 1920, after the death of Irina, the youngest daughter of Marina Tsvetaeva. The government has already changed in the country. Sergei Efron is abroad, they have been separated for several years and Marina did not even know if he was alive. She survived in her house as best she could, starved, looked for any job. Left without a livelihood, she sent her children to an orphanage. She was promised that there they would be full. But Irina died at the orphanage. Tsvetaeva was repeatedly reproached for callousness in relation to her youngest daughter, but read these verses. They will tell you everything:

Two hands, easily dropped
On an infant's head!
There were - one for each -
I have been granted two heads.

But both - squeezed -
Furious - as I could! -
Snatching the elder from the darkness -
She did not save the younger one.

You are 1922, Marina Ivanovna leaves Russia to her husband, whom she managed to find thanks to Ilya Ehrenburg. Efron also did not know what happened to her, whether she survived. First they live in Prague, then in Paris. But the emigration did not accept Tsvetaeva. She was strongly influenced by the atmosphere around her due to her husband's activities. Efron was accused of being recruited by the NKVD and participating in a conspiracy against Lev Sedov, Trotsky's son. It is almost never published. And she yearns for Russia. Later Tsvetaeva writes about it this way: "My failure in emigration is that I am not an emigrant, that I am in spirit, that is, by air and in scope - there, there, from there ..."
In 1934, she wrote the poem "Longing for the Homeland":

Already abroad, in February 1925, Marina Tsvetaeva gave birth to a son. Georgy Efron, at home he was called Moore, grew up without knowing Russia. The first time he sees the country only in 1939. Tsvetaeva and her son returned to the USSR following her husband and daughter, who had left here even earlier. But what poems Marina dedicated to her son even before her return, in January 1932:

Marina Ivanovna did not find happiness in the USSR. Their whole family was settled at the dacha of the NKVD in Bolshev. And in the same year, 39, on August 27, her daughter Ariadne was arrested, and on October 10 - Efron. Marina never saw them again. During this period, Tsvetaeva practically did not write poetry, doing translations. But here are her poems dated January 7, 1940:

The war found Tsvetaeva behind the translations of Federico García Lorca. Work had to be interrupted due to the county being evacuated. She and her son arrive in the town of Elabuga on the Kama. Here they lived in a house where Marina had a corner behind a curtain. The last poem by Marina Ivanovna Tsvetaeva is dated March 6, 1941. At least the last one we found:

On August 31, 1941, Marina Tsvetaeva committed suicide. Shortly before her death, she wrote - "For a year now I have been looking for a hook with my eyes." She hanged herself in the Brodelshchikovs' house, where she and her son were assigned to a post.
Marina Tsvetaeva was buried at the Peter and Paul cemetery in Yelabuga. Her grave was lost and we only know the approximate place of her burial.
