This instinct in children continues in an instinctive "faith in adult". Without this instinct, children will not survive and will not learn anything. Children are not necessarily experimenting with fire to find out what you can burn. They will say mom or dad or grandparents or another adult grandmother, on whose care they are. When children grow up, they will learn from their parents, from other adults, that there is an Orthodox, Catholic, Protestant, Muslim Shiite, Muslim Sunni, Jewish or someone else (where they came from, this is a separate conversation, we will not be distracted). But in the same way they can overnight and burst into it, if another authoritative adult tells them, there is no God. And they will not experience any injury from this, as they do not experience any injury when they say that Santa Claus is a fairy tale and that the New Year's gift bought them dad. My wife remembers that in childhood she had a very devout nanny, and under 7 years old she believed in God. Somehow once her girlfriend Valya said in the courtyard that there is no God. But instinctive faith in the existence of God is not a religion. Religion is a form of a social organization.
