In addition, it is also a beautiful plant, especially when tying heads of cabbage. And if you plant a cauliflower like Lolla Ross or pansies along the edge of the cabbage bed, in the middle of it there are several tall marigolds, then you will have a real flower garden, not a vegetable garden.

Armed with this knowledge, I began to experiment. I sowed seeds for seedlings at different times. Indoors at a temperature of 18-20 ° C, seedlings appear already on the 3-5th day. I soak the seeds in advance in a solution of immunocytophyte and dry them, that is, sow them dry. Of course, before sowing, I reject small, damaged and too light seeds, as well as irregularly shaped, with a matte (no gloss) surface.

Depending on the weather conditions, the seeds germinate in 5-10 days. Since I sow only full-weight seeds, I place them at a fairly large distance (5-8 cm) from each other, so all the seedlings grow of high quality, there are almost no weak and sick specimens.

Growing seedlings in a cold nursery has certain advantages: it does not stretch, does not get sick with a black leg, and is well hardened. I never managed to grow such full-fledged seedlings in an apartment: she was pampered, she was sick, a lot of plants disappeared during the pick. And this way I can avoid unnecessary transplantation, which retards the growth of plants.

I water and feed the seedlings in the growing room. The first feeding (with urea) I do at the beginning of the appearance of the second true leaf, the second - a week later with any complex fertilizer. My seedlings grow strong, stocky (stems 5-6 cm thick).
