Phone stands are phased in lightweight options. How to make a phone stand? Convenient gadget made from scrap materials

How often, while at home, in the office or on the road, we cannot remember where we put our phone. To prevent this from happening, you should get comfortable and ergonomic stands that you can make yourself. A phone stand can be made with your own hands from the most unexpected materials at hand. Our step-by-step master class will tell you how to do this.

How to make a do-it-yourself phone stand: options for the office and auto

Whether in the workplace or in the car, we all need to always be in touch. At the same time, I do not want to spend a lot of money on expensive coasters, because they can be made from waste and worn-out materials.

Card stand.

The simplest version of a phone holder is a card stand. To make it, you need to carefully bend an unnecessary plastic card in two places, as shown in the photo below, without allowing it to break.

Experience shows that a plastic card holder is very reliable and can even withstand air travel in times of strong turbulence.

Stand made of stationery clips.

To make a phone stand from stationery clips or binders, as they are also called, you need one large and one small clip. The legs of the small clamp should be placed between the holding part of the large clamp and the resulting structure should be placed on the table so that the larger clamp rests on its surface.

Similar coasters can be made from clothespins in five minutes.

Paper clips make a great option for a car stand. To make it, you need to disassemble a large clamp and slightly bend the metal parts, as shown in the photo below.

In order not to damage the surface of the phone, it is recommended to wrap metal fasteners with threads in several layers. We return the holders to their place, additionally secure them with adhesive tape and clerical elastic band. We attach the clamp to the ventilation louvers. The phone is securely fastened between the metal parts of the binder.

Paper stand.

Plain office paper folded in a certain way can even support the weight of a large smartphone. To make a paper stand, you need to measure the dimensions of the phone and adjust the pattern below to fit them.

Cut the piece out of paper, fold it along the dotted lines and insert the side pieces into the slots. The good thing about this design is that it allows you to charge your phone without removing it from the cradle.

We study popular options for coasters for home comfort

A desk phone stand for a home should not only be comfortable, but also durable, stylish and fit well into the interior of your home. Consider the options for such products.

Stand made of newspaper tubes.

This phone stand made of newspaper tubes will be a wonderful gift and a great decoration for any interior.

To weave such a stand, you will need several long dyed newspaper tubes, scissors, knitting needles, a little glue and varnish.

We place six blanks parallel to each other at a distance of about 1-1.5 cm and firmly fix them in the machine or in any convenient way. We put knitting needles or wire into the extreme racks, so that it is more convenient to form even and neat contours of the product. We begin to braid the base with a working tube using the "string" technique or with chintz weaving. We monitor the parallelism of the rows and, if necessary, coat them with glue for better fixation.

We braid a rectangular blank of the required length. We take out the knitting needles or wire. We carefully fill and cut the ends of the posts. We give the workpiece the necessary curved shape, if necessary, slightly moistening it with water.

Likewise, weave the leg of the stand on a smaller number of tubes. We bend the finished leg, install it on the main part and fix its racks between the rows of the stand. We cut off and hide the excess. We coat the product with glue, if desired, paint it additionally and cover it with 1-2 layers of varnish. After complete drying, the stand can be used for its intended purpose.

A stand made of origami modules.

Modular origami is a fairly young, but very popular type of needlework. With its help, you can make many unusual and original gizmos, including a phone stand from modules.

To make the stand, you need blue and pink double-sided paper. We cut the sheets into blanks and fold the modules.

We start weaving from the base of the stand. It requires 28 blue modules, which must be connected together and closed in a ring. In the same way, we make out three more rows. From the fifth row, we reduce the number of modules by 1, 2, 3, 4 pieces. In the seventh row, put one pink module in the middle.

In the eighth row we put 6 modules, make a pass, another 10 modules, a pass, 6 modules. The number of pink modules is 2 pieces. In the next row, on the pink area, we put three pink modules. We begin to design the curly edging of the stand, as shown in the photo below.

In the back part, we form a pattern in the form of a heart, above which we install a row of blue modules. Tighten the stand gradually until a triangular wedge forms at the back of the stand.

The module stand is ready!

We suggest watching the video tutorials below on making other options for phone stands.

It so happens that in some places there is not always a stable connection, in my case the Beeline operator, since the tower is far away and nearby trees interfere with transmitting a signal. I didn't want to make any antenna for the phone, I came up with a simpler one, this is a phone stand that could be placed in the place where the connection is stable and does not depend on weather conditions. And I will tell you how to make a stand for a phone in this article.

As in any other homemade product, we need to decide on the necessary materials.

In order to make this stand you will need:
* Parquet.
* Board 8cm wide.
* Epoxy adhesive.
* Threads, matches.
* Black felt.
* Hacksaw for metal.
* Drill and drills for it with a diameter of 3 and 6 mm.
* Coarse and fine sandpaper.
* Screw 55mm long.

These are all the materials that we need, which is not difficult to access, and if there is no parquet, then any sturdy board will do.

Now you can start gradually making the stand.

Step one.
First of all, we need to determine the dimensions of the future stand, for this we measure the dimensions of the phone that we want to install in the stand in the future, also do not forget to measure the thickness.

In my case, the thickness of the phone turned out to be quite large for the present time, after all, 1.5 cm is not small for a phone in 2017, but all this taking into account the fact that the phone has a protective bumper.
For convenience, we make a drawing on paper or in a program, as I did.

Step two.
After deciding on the size of the stand, you can take up the tools and cut out the main part. The base in the stand is its so-called back, the dimensions of which are 8 * 9cm. We take the base thickness of 5 mm, no more and no less, because we don’t want the stand to be heavy or too fragile due to the lack of thickness. To do this, I sawed across the already cut 8 * 9 board, reducing the thickness from 18 to 5 mm.

Now you need to drill a hole for attaching the stand to the wall, we first drill with a 3mm drill, then 6mm, but not through and through, in order to hide the screw head. Then we round off the corners with sandpaper.

Step three.
When the base is ready, you can start making legs, which, by their design, will not allow the phone to fall.
To make feet, as it seemed to me best of all, from parquet, which I found in my garage.

At first, it was conceived so that the legs were composite, that is, assembled from two parts.

But due to the loss of strength with such a connection, I decided to make them solid. The result is such a foot in the shape of the letter G.

There are three such legs in my design.

Step four.
At the beginning, I did not attach much importance to the appearance, but during the manufacture I realized that all sharp edges need to be rounded off, which I did.

It is best to round off sharp edges with coarse sandpaper. When the desired result is achieved, sand with finer grit to remove all seizures.
Also, do not forget to grind the main part, since the touching surface with the phone should be flat.
Step five.
After all the constituent parts are sanded, you can proceed to fixing them to the base.
For these purposes, epoxy glue is best suited, which I have tested repeatedly and has established itself as high-strength.

Stir with matches one to one the required amount of epoxy glue and smear the places where the legs will be installed.

Epoxy glue dries for a long time, but holding the glued parts with your hands for a long time is simply not enough patience. Without thinking twice, I decided that the easiest way to fasten such a structure with a thread and matches, wrapping a dozen turns around its edges. Due to the large number of turns of thread, everything is held securely, and most importantly, the parts are pressed tightly enough.
First we glue the lower foot in the middle, and then the two side ones.

I had to tinker a little with the side ones, in this case it is better to ask a friend for help, since two hands were clearly not enough to hold two parts, so also wrap all this with a thread around.

We leave everything to dry completely.
Step six.
The epoxy is dry and despite the fact that the width of the touching plane is only 5 mm, the paws are very tight.

Mobile communication devices are in every home, they have become almost indispensable for a modern person and perform a lot of functions. Therefore, quite often you need to keep them not in your pocket, but on your desktop, so a smartphone stand is a must for everyone. There are many ways to make a stand for your phone, but one of the best options is of course wood, as it, despite its hardness, will not scratch the smartphone and will look good both in the office and at home on the table.

The easiest way to make a do-it-yourself phone stand out of wood is to just make it out of a regular plank. The design of such a product is as simple as possible - a groove of the required width is made in the board and the stand is ready. Since the board has a large plane, and after you put the mobile in the slot, it will stand firmly and securely on the table.

The most important thing about this wooden phone stand is the area of the base that will be in contact with the table, it must be large enough to cope with the functional load. As a basis, such a homemade phone stand can be of any wood and can be shaped into any shape. And the manufacturing process itself is limited by the fact that a groove is simply made in the board with the help of a router. The groove can be made even or at a slope, depending on the angle at which the device should be.

When you make a smartphone stand with your own hands, it is important to grind it well, especially in the area of the groove where the mobile will stand. After all, if there are irregularities, then you can scratch the glass, and this will ruin the appearance of your gadget.

Complex construction

If you want your mobile device to be always in sight, not to get lost in the documents and at the same time your table looks beautiful, solid, then the stand must be appropriate. To do this, you can make it not just from a board, but from several parts. Don't worry, you don't need a lot of tools or material for this either. The most important thing is not to rush and carefully think over the design that your homemade product will have.

A good stand for a smartphone with your own hands, which is suitable not only for any phone, but also for a tablet, and at the same time will be as stable as possible, can be made from two small boards.

The design of such a stand is as simple as possible, two identical rectangular wooden blanks are taken. On the one hand, about a quarter from the edge, a cut is made to the middle of the board. It is important that the slot does not run at a right angle, but obliquely so that the stand is more stable and has the correct inclination of the plane that will support the phone. On both blanks, a slot is made up to half the width of the blank.

For someone just getting started, it can be challenging to find the right angle for the slot. But this is not difficult to do, it is enough just to attach two parts to one another at the planned angle and just make marks on the side at the end. Well, besides that, so that the phone does not slip, you need to make a groove on the horizontal plate, or stick a small bar that will be a stopper.

After all the slots are ready, it is enough to simply grind the stand well so that the irregularities do not scratch the phone case, and cover it with tint or just varnish.

There are many ways to make a stand for a phone of this design, for example, you can make a curly vertical part of the stand, which will greatly improve its appearance. Shapes can be a wide variety of hand, leaf, animals, and in general whatever you come up with, since the tree can be given almost any shape.

How to choose a stand design

There are quite a few ways on how to make a smartphone stand, but wood options differ not only in durability, but also in their beautiful appearance. In addition, they also look much more noble than other materials, since a properly selected wooden accessory will adorn any design, regardless of its style.

Therefore, to make your hand-made mobile phone stand beautiful and original, try to choose the right design, size and color. Of course, do not forget about such parameters as functionality and stability, since if the cell is dropped, it can simply be damaged.

You can make a variety of phone accessories at home and you don't need to have a special tool for that. In most cases, with due diligence and patience, you can do with a simple hacksaw, chisel, sandpaper and a piece of plywood. Then just glue your sample from small pieces and at home it will also be easy.

Do not be afraid to experiment and fantasize so that the stand you make is unique, and not like everyone else's. After all, mass production is organized in such a way that anyone can afford to buy beautiful and seemingly diverse things. But really bright individuals prefer unique things in a single copy. Such things are not sold in stores, they can only be ordered or made by yourself. The second option is much better, not only in terms of economy, but also in terms of individuality.

Even if you do not have experience in making any wood crafts, you should not be upset, as there is nothing difficult about it. It is enough to carefully plan everything, calculate what tools and materials will be needed and only after that start the work itself. If something doesn't work out for you, then you can try again, rarely anyone succeeds in doing everything right the first time, everyone learns and everyone makes mistakes. But this is the only way to gain experience and learn how to do everything right.

With a phone holder, you won't waste a lot of time searching for your mobile device. He will also be reliably protected. It is less likely that someone will drop it, step on it or spill tea, and most importantly, while driving, you will not be distracted. For aesthetic reasons, it can be an excellent decor for the interior of a car.

The simplest holder is the handlebar design with silicone loops. The adjustable panel bracket into which the gadget is inserted is compact and easy to install. Another very simple holder is a ball on a magnet.

Designer stands are made of different materials, have different shapes - it all depends on the creative of the master. For example, there is a lawn on a plastic stand, and a phone holder at the bottom.

The gadget holder can be designed as an elegant wooden stand. For example, in the form of a tree with a hollow or improvised stumps. A neat wooden stand with chaotically spaced slots, where a mobile phone is inserted, will look original.

A wooden stand can be very laconic and resemble a photo frame where a smartphone is inserted. The wooden organizer on the panel can have not only a cell for a gadget, but also for pens and watches. The wooden stand in the form of a figure supporting the phone looks original, only it needs to be fixed well.

Sometimes holders for phones in the absence of a gadget are a nice souvenir. For example, a stand for a gadget in the form of a disk phone looks original, showing the connection of times. Or to look unexpectedly creative when the holder is an alarm clock into which a mobile phone is inserted.

The holder looks conceptually in the form of a marble figure with a gadget in its hands. Even in winter, a shell stand will evoke memories of the sea. The stand can look like your favorite food, such as sushi, a hamburger, or a caviar sandwich. In such souvenirs, the wildest fantasy can turn into reality.

The highlight of the minimalist holder will be the original mount. For example, according to the principle of a table lamp attached to a table with a clothespin. Even an ordinary office binder will look original in the form of a phone holder.

It is worth looking at things with different eyes and arranging a cozy soft pillow or armchair for your phone. If a woman is driving, it can be a fluffy basket, an original fabric pocket, a soft envelope on a cute hinged loop. These crocheted animals in the form of a stand will always help keep you in a good mood. Stylish, bright accessories will not only serve you by performing certain functions, but also help you think positively.

Holders can have a flexible cord for fastening, a suction cup, an adjustable bracket.

When choosing a phone stand, everyone is guided by their own taste preferences. In terms of functionality, the holder must have a good fit to keep the phone safe.

How to do it yourself

From the paper clip

The device that supports the phone can be made by hand. Such a stand will definitely be exclusive.

Homemade holders can be of three types:

  • spoiling the salon;
  • not distinguished by strength;
  • representing a whole work of art that requires real skill.

We take the binder, remove the staples, bend them so that a holder is formed, wrap it with a thread and determine it in its original place, ensuring fixation with an ordinary elastic band. It remains to attach a simple device to the duct. The phone is securely attached. The only drawback is that the phone cannot be quickly removed from the holder.

Wire

In order to fix the phone on the wire holder, you will have to sacrifice the integrity of the front panel of the cabin, since you will need to drill holes on it. The holder is made of strong wire, bending it accordingly and inserting it into the holes. The phone must be firmly attached to the holder.

Aluminum stand

It takes a little effort to make the stand out of aluminum. In any hardware store, you can inexpensively purchase connecting pipes with angles of 45 and 90 degrees, as well as an aluminum pipe with a diameter of 47 mm. You will need some more ice cream sticks, an old phone case.

You can start creating a holder after you have determined the place where it will be located. Now the necessary measurements are being made. The pipe is cut into three pieces. The short part is attached to a 45 degree elbow tube. The horizontal part is held in 45 and 90 degree angle tubes. The longest part is a vertical pipe, 10-13 cm long, that will hold the stand.

For greater strength, all fasteners are first greased with glue. A couple of cuts should be made in the case, into which the ties are inserted. The incisions are on the tube. The long pipe is pulled together with ties. Wooden sticks are glued between the aluminum pipe and the cover. The final stage is attaching the connecting tube to the car.

Homemade mahogany smartphone stand.

Hello everybody! Today we will make for a mobile phone in the form of a dog - the symbol of the year.

Now you need to make a stand under it. To do this, we cut out a circle with a diameter of 70 mm from wood. Sand it with sandpaper.

We take several gears of such small ones.

We also take epoxy and hardener.

We take plasticine and apply a thin layer on one side of the inner cavity of the figure and glue it with polyethylene on the same side.

We knead the epoxy glue according to the instructions and pour about 2 mm into the cavity of the figure. This will be the first layer. We are waiting for this layer to solidify. Then we'll lay out our gear pattern and fill in the rest.

Our dog is dry.

We remove the plasticine. We take sandpaper and bring everything into a divine form.

Mark with a pencil on the figure the point where the hole will be.

We make a small indentation with a drill.

Now we make a wooden chopik, which will fix all this. We insert the chopik into the stand, spread it with PVA glue and also the lower part of the figure with a thin layer so that the glue does not protrude. We connect. Leave it to dry completely. Next, we rub our entire product with the herbalist's impregnation.

Here's what we got.
