So we conclude - a laptop or computer does not often cost on / off, since this is more likely to harm than benefit. No, there is nothing wrong with that, but it is better not to do this. You can turn it off for a few hours ... maybe six. For me personally, the computer always works, and so for several years (and the previous one also worked, but it is already old), they all never know such a state as "off" (only if there is no light). It is often not strongly recommended to turn it on or off, this is some kind of stress for devices (I wrote above), it is better to let it work for an hour or two than you turn it off and on. If a computer or laptop is turned on 50 times a day, then it is unlikely to be a "long-liver" (this is so, for example). A bit irrelevant to the topic of the article, but remember - never unplug your PC or laptop, which is called "from the socket", that is, when the power to the computer is lost. Always turn off via the start menu or the button on the case! But do not press the button on the extension cord, for example. The fact is that when you do this, if the system was writing something to the hard disk and this operation is interrupted, then the place where it was writing (sector) may already become unusable for writing and there will be a replacement from the reserve area (which by the way is limited ). And this is for you to note - during idle time, the processor usually lowers its clock frequency, Windows turns off the monitor (and indeed it can go into sleep mode), and the system does not mind turning off the hard drives (how useful is a moot point). That is, if you have not turned off the power saving functions, then the computer will consume very little electricity when it is idle, and by the way the temperature will be minimal.

Finally, I'll write this - one turning on the computer is equal to eight hours of its work, I read this somewhere and remembered it, I will not argue that this is true, but there is a share (there was a long time I studied the opinions of experts on the Internet for a long time).

How does the battery feel if the laptop is always plugged in? I have heard a lot of advice on this topic before, but I could not even imagine that everything is so serious! Why am I in general ... How to extend battery life

1. Do not keep the laptop connected to the mains at all times. As I wrote above, this negatively affects its capacity. After charging the battery, disconnect the power supply from the mains. Connect only at discharge up to 10-15%.

2. Do not overheat the battery. This applies to both external factors (direct sunlight, hot rooms, blocking of air intake openings) and internal (overheating of internal elements, clogged air intake openings, malfunction of the cooling system).

3. Once every 10-15 days, do a full discharge-charge cycle. In order to maintain the capacity of the battery, you just need to perform a full discharge, followed by charging. In the interval between the cycle, you can not charge up to 100%, and allow discharging up to 40% or more.
