Cleaning the system volume information folder
A month ago, my computer started to boot very slowly for about 35 minutes. Thought it was the end of the hard drive, but nothing happened. The point was that the system volume information folder stores backup copies of restore points, and I had 253 GB of these points, and began to clean it. First you need to enable the visibility of hidden folders. We enter the control panel and find the folder parameters.

Disk Cleaner is available in all versions of Windows: 7, 8, 8.1.
I will give a universal way of how to run it in any of the above operating systems.
Press the Win + R button combination and enter the cleanmgr.exe command. Then press Enter. See screenshot below.
Then Windows OS will launch the Disk Cleanup program and ask us to specify the drive to scan.
