A complex of games "magic transformations of words".

I think many children have among their toys set of multi-colored magnetic letters, and a magnetic board, for sure there is. Although, instead of a magnetic board, you can use a refrigerator, which is even more fun, because children always like to use objects not according to their direct appointment... Therefore, it will be much more interesting for the kid to play with the letters on the refrigerator than on the board intended for this. And the letter games are very useful as they develop the child's speech, thinking and imagination.

So what games can you play with letters?

Game "TRANSFORMATIONS OF WORDS"

In this game, we invite the kid to be a wizard. And the secret of "magic" is this: replacing only one letter in the proposed word, you can turn it into another word with a different meaning. First choose for "witchcraft" simple words which consist of three letters.

SOK - TOK - COC. Ask your child to put the word SOK out of the letters of the magnetic alphabet. Then suggest turning it, replacing just one letter, into whatever is in electrical outlet... Give your baby time to think and guess for himself that this is a TOK. Then, by changing one letter again, turn the word into a ship's chef (COC).

LEO - FOREST. Put the word LEO together with your child. Then do a little magic over the letters - and the formidable predator will become a place where many trees grow.

BOW - LAC - LAZ. Have a child form the word BOW from the magnetic letters. Then he will turn this vegetable into what they use to paint their nails (or cover furniture) - LACQUER. After that, ask the baby to make a hole from the word LAC that you can crawl through (LAZ).

BEETLE - FEMALE - FOOT - BOW. The child lays out the word BEETLE, then turns it into a sharp branch on a tree (TUK), then into the sound that is obtained when they knock with a hammer (TUK). And then this word will become a vegetable that is added to soup and salad.

BOB - LOB. Put the word BOB with your child and explain what it means. Then change the seed so that you get a part of the face (LOB).

HOUSE - SMOKE. Give the kid three letters - D, O, M - and ask them to add the word for a building (HOUSE). Then ask them to convert this word to what is formed during the burning of the fire (SMOKE).

WORLD - PIR. What happens when there is no war? Sure! Let the crumb lay out the word WORLD. Then replace one letter so that the WORLD turns into a large feast where guests are treated to delicious food (PIR).

In a similar way, you can beat other strings of words: SOM - TOM - HOUSE, CHEESE - DIRT - THIEF, BOR - FIGHT - SIDE, GOD - DOG, LADY - GIFT, VOL - GO - COLL - SEX, BANK - SIDE, BULL - BUK , WAS - BAL.

If the child likes the game and has already learned how to easily change simple words, you can choose more complex words for the game, consisting of 2-3 syllables.

BOAT - SPOON. Put the word BOAT together with the baby. Then suggest replacing one letter in the word so that what they float on turns into what they eat (SPOON).

BARAN - BANANA. Make the word BARAN from the magnetic letters. A little witchcraft and the animal will make a sweet fruit.

PEAS - CITY. Put the word PEAS out of the magnetic letters with your child. Then turn it into a place full of houses, roads, cars and people.

COW - CROWN. Ask the child to “write” the word COW, and then change one letter so that the animal turns into the king's headdress.

The game can be continued with other words as well: SLIDE - MINK, PROTEIN - BULKA, CLOUD - HANDLE - BUG, DAY - STUMP - SHADOW - LAZY, DOT - Daughter - MOUNT - BARREL - KIDNEY.

Game "LETTERS CHANGE LOCATIONS"

This is another fun game. And again, the baby can feel like a magician! After all, there are words that consist of the same letters, but the letters are arranged in a different order, therefore the meanings of the words are different. And it is very interesting to guess what new word is hidden in the given one! We select options by rearranging the letters in places.

AU - AU. Here is the baby crying UA. And now let's turn this word into another - as if the baby was lost in the forest (put the word AU together with the baby)

CANCER - CAR. Invite your child to spell out the word CANCER, and then swap the letters so that the river dweller turns into the loud cry of a big bird.

LAZ - HALL. Ask the child to compose the word LAZ, and then make a large and spacious room (HALL) out of the narrow passage.

MOUNTAIN - HORNS. Let the baby put the word MOUNTAIN out of the magnetic letters, and then rearrange the letters in places so that the mountain becomes what grows on the head of an elk or deer (HORN).

BANK - KABAN. Put the word BANK with your child. Then change the letters in places so that the glassware turns into a wild animal that lives in the forest and is very fond of acorns (KABAN).

We have given examples of the game, when the crumbs are given a hint - a description of the meaning of a new word. You can complicate the game: let the little one guess what kind of word it is.

CURRENT - CAT. Lay out the word TOK. Ask the baby how to change the letters in places so that you get a different word? What is this word? Let your child guess for himself. Continue the game with other words: YEAR - DOG, WORD - HAIR, LADY - SLAVE, CITIES - ROAD.
The game "LETTER RUNNED"

If you remove just one letter from some words, you get a completely new word! Give your child the opportunity to visually verify this using the same magnetic alphabet.

MOLE - MOUTH. Ask your child to put out the word MOLE. And then - remove one letter from the word so that underground resident turned into a part of the face (MOUTH).

KIDNEYS - GLASSES. Make up the word KIDNEYS, and then remove one letter from the word so that the KIDNEYS on the branch in which the green leaves are hidden suddenly become a glass object in a frame, which is needed by those who see poorly (or which the grandmother has).

THUNDERSTORM - ROSE. Put the word THUNDER along with the crumb. And then remove one letter from the word - the formidable element will miraculously turn into beautiful flower(THE ROSE).

WOLF - WOL. Ask your kid to write the word WOLF with magnetic letters, and then remove one letter so that a predatory and dangerous forest animal turns into a completely peaceful pet (WOL).

These were variants of the game with descriptive clues for the crumbs. Of course, there are other options for tasks in which the baby must find the answer on his own: CANNONS - EARS, BATH - ANNA, SCREEN - CRANE, KOSA - WASP.

The game "THE SYLLABUS RUNNED"

You can play a similar game with syllables: remove one syllable from some words, and they turn into other words! But before offering your child this game, it is worth getting to know syllabic structure words. Little hint: clap your hands while pronouncing the word (one syllable - one clap) helps to divide the word into syllables.

SAND - JUICE. Lay out the word SAND. Ask the child to read the word and clap the syllables, name the first syllable, the second syllable. Then offer to remove one syllable from the word so that you get a completely different word. If the crumb cannot guess on his own, tell him: “Remove one syllable from the word SAND so that it turns into a delicious fruit drink” (SOK).

PIE - HORN. Have the kid put out the word PIE and name its syllables. Then ask to remove one syllable so that you get a new word. If the child is at a loss, prompt: “Remove one syllable from the word PIE so that tasty food turned into what grows on the nose of a rhino. ”

GAMAK - MAK: In a similar way, ask the baby to make a flower from the bed for sleeping and rest.

Continue to play with other words: BUTTERFLY - BARREL, SWAMP - LOTO, MATROS - CABLE, BASKET - ZINA, WOOL - TANK.

The games described are useful for the development of speech, they help teach the child to listen to words more attentively, pay attention to their spelling, and understand the meaning. All this develops literacy, which is very useful for the baby both at school and in life.

Game "Magic Letters"

There are amazing words that can become the subject of a whole fairy tale. Let's get acquainted with one of them.

VICTORY
(Based on the tale of S. Pogorelovsky)

One letter can do wonders.

Pencil drew the lawn. She is driving a Pobeda car. I wrote under the picture: VICTORY (put this word from the letters of the magnetic alphabet with the baby).
Hedgehog looked at the lawn. He liked the letter P. “I'll put it,” he thinks, “in front of my house. There will be good gates ”. He put the letter on his back and carried it away. (Remove the letter P, and later - and other letters, in the text).
The Bear came, gloomy, hungry. I immediately began to complain:
- I don't have today ...
- LUNCH, - the letters suggested.
- Right! - the Bear barked. - Eh, honey to eat! Yes, stock up for the winter! Here, by the way, is the hoop for the tub.
He took the letter O under his arm and stomped into the apiary. And the Bunny jumped out onto the lawn. Shivers, looks around. Suddenly I saw a terrible word: PROBLEM.
- Oh, where's the trouble? - the Bunny rushed about.
With a fright flew into the letter B. She bounced off, and the Bunny rushed into the forest.
The Stork has arrived. Tasty word saw: FOOD. And there is food in the grass: there are as many frogs as you want. Stork attached a stick to the letter E, it turned out a fork. The Stork ate, flew away and carried away the fork.
Then the Baran came, bleated offendedly:
- It is not true that they say that I am stupid. Am I stupid?
And the letters to him:
- YES.
The Baran got angry. He ran away, hit the letter D with his horns, and it crumbled. The last letter remains - A. There is only one. What can she do without friends? Only cry: ah-ah!
Console rather the letter A - put your friends-comrades next to it to get new words!

Liza. My child".

Today, friends, we will go to the country of "Miraculous transformations of words." It is very important that each letter in a word is in its place. And what happens if another letter stands in place of one letter, you can see in one of the stories that happened to me and my student Masha.

It all started when Masha drew a crow. She drew and wrote "varona". I tell her:

You wrote it wrong. After in necessary O, but not but! - And Masha answers:

Well, think, one letter ... "Varona" or "crow" - what's the difference? And so everyone will understand.

Then I tell her:

Well, cross out the letter in the word "crow" n... Has crossed out? Now write the letter instead T... What happened? (asks children)

Masha laughs:

Here are miracles, the "gate" turned out!

Understood, - I say, - what does one letter mean?

Today we will play games with letters and words ... And what games with letters and words do you know?

Task 1. Game for attention - "Boys or girls?"

Our first game is called "Boys or Girls", I will read the lines of the poem, and you must finish them correctly with the word "boys" or "girls", be very careful not to fall into the "trap".

The teacher reads the lines of the poem, which the children must logically finish correctly.

Dandelion wreaths in spring

Of course, they only weave ... girls

Bolts, screws, gears

You will find it in the pocket of ... boys

Skates on ice drew arrows

We played hockey in the morning ... boys

Chatted for an hour without respite

In colorful dresses ... girls

Measure your strength in front of everyone

Do not mind always alone ... boys

Afraid of the dark, cowards

All as one - alone ... girls

And now we will compete with you, who will guess which letter is lost?

The task 2 (the teacher hangs pictures on the board, and the teams take turns asks which one)

Assignment 3And now we will play with words a little more and learn that other words can also hide in words.

For example, in the word AQUARIUM the word UM is hidden, and in the word POLYANA - gender.

You and I are used to these words, and sometimes we don't even notice other words inside.

Now each group will receive word cards where you have to find the words hidden inside these words.

Words: rice oovat, ba barrel, O laziness, cab onion, ne the juice, under story, ovo cabbage soup, ball f, w duck, NS a lion, at dot, hundred forehead, u spruce, at count, tooth R.

Fizminutka

Assignment 4Competition "Who is more".

The words are written on the board:

B point (point, lobe, night) l folder (folder, header), NS alka (beam, salka), at m (boom, boom, noise), To from (here, that, lot, mouth).

Replace the highlighted letters with others so that you get new words.

Working with S. Pogorelovsky's story "This is what happened to the letters"

- Miraculous transformations can happen not only when one letter is replaced by another, but also when we add a letter to a word or subtract it from a word. Here's a listen:

- "Pencil drew a lawn, on it the car" Victory ". I wrote VICTORY under the picture in block letters

Hedgehog looked at the lawn. The Hedgehog liked the letter P. “I'll put it,” he thinks, “in front of my house. There will be good gates. "

The gloomy Bear came. He began to complain:

    I don't have today ...

    LUNCH, - the letters suggested.

Right! - the Bear barked. - Eh, to eat honey! Yes, stock up for the winter. Here, by the way, is the hoop for the tub.

He took the letter O under his arm and stomped into the apiary. And the Bunny jumped out onto the lawn. Shivers, looks around. Suddenly I saw a terrible word: PROBLEM.

Oh, where's the trouble ?! - the Bunny rushed about. It flew with fright on the letter B. It bounced off, fell behind a mountain ash. And the bunny ran off into the forest.

The Stork has arrived. I saw a delicious word: FOOD. And there is food in the grass: there are as many frogs as you want. The Stork attached a stick to the letter E, it turned out a fork: E. The Stork ate, flew away and took the fork away. Then the Baran came. Bleated offended:

They say that I am stupid. Am I stupid?

And the letters to him: YES. The Baran got angry, hit the letter D with horns. She crumbled to pieces. There is only one beech left - A. It stands alone. And what can she say without friends? Only cry bitterly: - A-A-A! "

Console her, write other letters next to it, so that some word will turn out. In order not to get bored with the letter A without work, without friends and comrades.

The game is a physical minute "Echo".

Raise up your hand for those of you who have walked into the forest. Who heard the echo? You shouted, and the echo answered you, and you only heard the end of the word. Let's play this game and do breathing exercises: I will tell you a word, and you chorus call its end, so that you get a new word.

Words for the game:

laughter, screen, deer, tick, stranded, shell, hail.

Alexander Shibaev wrote a book for the children called "The letter got lost." Do you want to play a game like this?

Turn "inedible" words into "edible" by replacing everything
one letter. Use pictures as a guide.

The game is suitable for experienced players who like to solve complex problems. Its difference from the previous game is that here they give the task to depict not one word, but several, connected in a phrase that does not have much meaning, for example, "A dog was walking on the piano." At the same time, before depicting a phrase, the player must show his team on his fingers how many words are in this sentence. Do not choose famous sentences, lines from songs and names of literary works, as in this case the players will guess it from the first gestures. The beauty of randomly composing phrases is that the guessers do not even guess which word might be next. All attention and erudition are required of them in order not only to guess all the words, but also to memorize their sequence, so that at the end of the game they utter the entire phrase, no matter how absurd it may sound.

"Take a look and describe"

A wonderful game for children's companies who like to frolic and give work to their minds. To carry it out, prepare in advance several drawings depicting episodes from some well-known literary work or songs.

Players must split into two teams. The facilitator chooses one from each, puts them facing the other team and pin drawings on their backs. Both selected players stand facing each other on one leg, holding the raised leg from behind with their hand. Without turning your back on the opposing team, try to look behind the enemy's back, make out the drawing and, without naming the names of the characters and the title of the work, explain to your team what is depicted on it. The task of the team is to guess from which piece the episode shown in the picture is taken.

The winner is the team whose players guessed most of the episodes drawn on the opponent's back.

"Stutterers"

It is supposed to use a ball of any size, so the game serves not only as an excellent intellectual, but also a physical warm-up. You can involve even your own children in it. younger age, simplifying or complicating the task.

Players sit in a circle facing each other. Pick up the ball and toss it to any other player, mentioning the first half of a word. The one to whom you threw the ball, during the time that the ball is in the air, must guess which word you mean and continue it. He, in turn, calls the first half of another word and tosses the ball to the next player. If a player cannot say a word or thinks too long, he is eliminated from the game. The winner is the one who is the last to remain in the game.

"Come up with a word"

This is a variation of the previous game. In it, the players also sit in a circle facing each other and one of them picks up the ball. If you have a ball, name the first part of a compound word, which has many options for continuation, for example, "micro", "super", "water", "many", etc. Throwing the ball to each other, the players must say the second half of the word. Anyone who repeats the already named word or cannot think of anything for 3 seconds is eliminated from the game. The last player remaining in the game is considered the winner.

"Who is bigger?"

Fun is intended for the youngest children, preschool or primary school age, who learn about the diversity of the world. She teaches them to be observant, develops their horizons, erudition and memory.

It also uses a ball. Invite the children to stand opposite each other in a circle. They have to throw the ball to each other, calling at the same time one word pertaining to a specific, pre-selected topic. Choose areas of life that are simple and understandable for children, invite them to name items of clothing, vegetables, fruits, body parts, objects around them in the room or on the street. For school-age children, you can complicate the task by asking them to name words that begin with letters in alphabetical order. Each next player must name a word for a specific letter.

"Quiz"

Nothing develops erudition better than a variety of quizzes. By complicating or simplifying the questions in them, you can captivate the children with them. of different ages... And do not forget that in addition to serious quizzes devoted to literature, music, etc., you may well conduct comic ones, asking funny questions, the answers to which require not so much deep knowledge as ingenuity and ingenuity.

Questions might be, for example:

1. What does half a watermelon look like? (To the other half.)

2. What cities are named after animals? (Pike perch, Gus-Khrustalny.)

3. Which bus wheel stays clean in any rain? (Spare.)

4. Which is heavier: a kilogram of fluff or a kilogram of iron? (Same.)

5. In what year do people sleep the most? (In leap years.)

6. What month is the 28th? (In everyone.)

7. What kind of fish do not exist in the river? (Dry.)

8. The dragonfly is "she", but what will be called "he"? (Male dragonfly.)

Think of these types of questions in advance. Players can split into teams or play each one for themselves. The winner is the one who gave correct or witty answers to most of the questions.

From rearranging the letters, the amount changes

These games are aimed primarily at developing the child's ability to speak correctly and enrich him, both passive and active. vocabulary... Scientists have proven that the more a child knows words, and most importantly, the more often he uses them in his speech, the more accurately he chooses definitions for certain concepts and observes the rules of word agreement, the better he intellectually develops. His memory improves logical thinking, perception becomes more accurate. Moreover, linguistic games allow him to show his imagination and try himself in the role of a writer or TV presenter. They develop quick wits and speed of thinking.

Most of these games are designed for schoolchildren, but some of them are great for toddlers too. The main thing is that children do not become oversaturated with the game, which leads, for the most part, to a persistent aversion to both the game itself and, in the future, and to a similar kind of activity. Therefore, at the slightest manifestations of fatigue - inattention, lethargy, rapid distraction - it is better to end the game immediately.

"Magical transformations"

Children of primary school age can participate. You can play it both together and in two teams if you have a lot of kids. Each group will need a piece of paper and a pencil. The task of the players is to form completely different words from some long word, or rather from its letters. I.e it comes about the transformation of one word into many. But one condition must be met: all words must be nouns in singular and the nominative case. At the signal, the time is recorded, after which the results are read. Words should never be repeated. The team or player with the most words wins.
