Sasha appeared in the third year of our history. We all started with Misha, and I met Sasha later. We have always treated the Business Youth project as a side activity, being engaged in some other major projects. As often happens, this side project began to develop so easily and quickly, without much effort (cities began to open, people gathered) that we decided to take on it more actively.

For two years we developed, for two years I was the general director of the company, was involved in management, recruiting and so on. There was already a company, a legal entity, about 14 cities in which we worked, a large office on Tverskaya-Yamskaya, a sales department in the bud, a development department, that is, the company was at the very beginning of its development. We had 20-25 people, but even then it was clear that a) I am a non-systemic person, b) I do not want to be a systemic person, c) I cannot make the company large and systemic.

It became clear that something needed to be radically changed. At this moment we are meeting with Sasha Volchek, at that time he worked as the general director of the Megaplan company. I looked at him - a suit from Versace, it perfectly talks about Megaplan, in general, there is a lot to learn. And I wanted to introduce "Megaplan" here in order to become more systemic. Said: "Sash, teach me how to implement Megaplan, become my mentor and mentor." At that time, we were already assembling halls for 500 people, earning money, that is, we were still a collective farm, but a collective farm with prospects.

I invited him to our meeting, which we held regularly (I was also terribly proud to have introduced weekly meetings where we discussed our affairs). He came, and after the meeting for another thirty minutes he told me how bad everything was with us, how everything was unsystematically and stupidly done. I sat him down next to me, took a sheet of paper, and told him: “Sasha, look, in three months, by September 2012, I’ll buy myself an apartment for $ 3 million, and if I don’t buy it, I’ll give it to you, Alexander Volchek, 3 million rubles ".

Did you have an extra $ 3 million at that time?

At that time, the company's profit was from 600 thousand to 1 million rubles per month - at best. And it was necessary to make 100 million in profit in three or four months.

We loved to play these games, in the declaration. We still do this sometimes, but then everything was harsher. I say to Sasha: “What do you want? Well, is there a car? " He had a car, some kind of old Audi. How much can a top manager get in Russia? Well, 300-500 thousand. And I tell him: "Write the same declaration that you will buy yourself a wheelbarrow for 6 million, without using any savings, in two months." And while I went to make a photocopy of my piece of paper, I see - he has already written. This is a test, not even a test, but the level of a person's adventurism that he can take risks and quickly subscribe to something, if it's interesting.

And how did it all end?

No matter. The main thing here is to jump out of the plane, you will find a parachute on the way.

We drove out of town, took Sasha with us. I asked him to help us with planning, with signs, as an accomplice, in a sense, of this process. And when he started helping us, he wrote everything down in Excel. I was just delighted - I am in awe of those who can write something in Excel.

I immediately tell Misha: “Look, what a handsome man. Let's take him to us as a partner. " Misha says: "Come on." And then he saw him for the first time. We discussed and decided to give Sasha 20% of our company, right away. I tell him: “Sasha, we need to make 100 million by September, and 20% is just enough for you for all your declarations and other expenses. Come with us!" He replies: "I need to think." The next day he calls me and says: "I just came from the board of directors, announced my resignation, I agree." It is clear that for another two months there in "Megaplan" he was transferring cases, finalizing some time, but by September he bought his Panamera.

I saw that you now have 33% of the company for three.

Yes, a year later we divided it into three, 33% each. I believe that in business you cannot focus on shares, on ownership of property, everything should be easy.

Tell us why cars appear almost everywhere in many of these declarations and promises? ThatRolls-roycebuy, thatMaserati, that's something else. Isn't it too commonplace?

We have hundreds of different options. Apparently, you just most often pay attention to cars. Perhaps it's time for you to change your car.

In fact, intangible tasks are difficult to measure and track. With a car, everything is much simpler - it is easy to evaluate, see, and this is a fairly straightforward task. You cannot come to a car dealership and say: "I have 500 thousand, several million are missing before the Panamera, sell it to me, please, I'll bring it in in the evening." People are weak and like to tune themselves up, to deceive. But you can't fool Maserati. You either bought it or you didn't.

A car is in some ways simpler as a target - than, for example, an apartment. A good apartment in Moscow costs several million dollars, and, to be honest, very few people can earn that much quickly. A car is a kind of objective simulator, understandable for men and absolutely objective.

I went all this way, I had a Mercedes C-class, then the first Maserati, then the Mercedes ML for my father, then the second, the new Maserati, which you probably noticed in the parking lot, then the Ferrari California, which I gave my ex-girlfriend.

I looked through your profile, looked at those who like your posts and comments - I wanted to find some famous, successful people there. I found, for example, Yuri Belonoshchenko, the general director of UralSib Management Company, several smaller top managers, mostly young people. Tell me, are there any famous people, celebs who quote your activities, with whom you are closely friends?

Yura, yes, he recently left here, literally in front of you, yesterday. Who else? Dima Kazachkov, managing director of the 1C-Rarus company, Andrey Rogachev, who made Pyaterochka.

You wrote that there is a special attack on you in the media. Do you have any idea who might order it?

I don't think this is a special attack. All these publications, they are not that somehow surprised me. It's quite difficult to surprise me with an online comment on social networks, where user number 7 950 answered something to user 14 124. Here is our CEO, he came running to me in shock: “Petya, how is it, here we are working here, but here such materials are published ". Well, I calmed him down, we continue to work.

In fact, the only way to avoid criticism is to be able to corpse and maintain such a cadaveric life, that is, not to do anything that changes the world around you. The main question is what part of people criticizes our activities. While I look at those who write criticism, and I see that we have no problem.

Oh, good question. Anything in life can be brought up except for musical taste. Now, I open my profile on the iPad, and we go from the past to the present. Another question from a colleague. If a poor but promising guy comes to your training without money, is there an option to get to the lesson for free?

No, offline costs money. All the materials we are talking about are on the Internet, in one form or another - use as much as you like. You won't be able to get offline without money. Because how else can you force a person who has not paid anything to work hard, not let them through, do their homework, and so on? No matter how ingenious you are, you have to find 20-25 thousand for a course of study.

If you haven't paid for something, you won't appreciate it. Some online English courses are free, I signed up and forgot, it all does not work. And when you gave, albeit a little, but some significant amount for you, the result will be completely different.

Do you have any idea why many people consider you a cult?

I think this is due to the surroundings that we created in the early years. It was fun there. I have nothing against this, let them consider whatever they like. We are not a tough corporation that chastised the training and let people go to all four sides. We are worried about those who take our trainings, we help them - perhaps this format somehow leads people to such thoughts.

About numbers. In the material on The Village, there was some misunderstanding with your turnover, they say, they say that you earned a billion, but in fact it was less. Can you clarify this point?

Over the past year, the goal was one billion. We did not fulfill it, the annual turnover was in the region of 800 million rubles.

What is the margin of your business?

I can say for the last year that at the moment I do not really have the latest information, since I am not involved in operational activities. But I will say that for us the normal operating margin was 20%.

I read about your plans to enter Western markets. Can you tell us something?

Few people realized that now the entire education system is in deep crisis. It is ineffective. We all understand that if you want to do business, by no means go to business school. Somewhere in the subconscious, many have it. Nobody guarantees you that you will go out and achieve something with a predictable result. It is clear that a person with a high energy resource will achieve his goal without these business schools, there are plenty of examples.

No one has a model of how to predictably and systematically release a person who will achieve some results in business. We can predictably determine that if a person goes through all the stages of training and does everything that we tell him, then he will achieve the tasks assigned to him with a fairly high degree of probability. Which business school can say that? The answer is no.

We already have offline trainings in Latvia, London, Madrid, Israel, which are conducted by our trainers. There is a developed system of assignments, control, course management. We now have a largely Russian-speaking audience, but we are working on adapting the materials to other languages.

We here in Russia have already made a technology that shows phenomenal results.

I will quote some well-known knowledge about "Business-Youth". The main criticism is that all you teach is a niche-landing-traffic-sales chain. Quite a simple and straightforward scheme.

Let's distinguish between what a person sees from the outside, and what really is. If someone sees from the outside that everything is so simple, this does not mean at all that the model is so primitive.

Any business needs to understand what to sell, to whom and in what price segment. Those who want to buy your product are called a lead. The lead has to come from somewhere. Sources can be different - landing pages, a website, personal sales, placement on sites to attract traffic, and so on. All this rests on the choice of the segment, on the number of clients that you need, and on the conversion.

This I described what can be described in 20 seconds. It is clear that at the two-month training all these stages are dealt with in much more detail.

There is also an imbalance theory, when the number of incoming requests and customers is equal to how much the company can handle. Under such conditions, the company dies and stagnates. Well, maybe it doesn't die right away, but everything goes towards it. The challenge for the right business is to ensure that the number of incoming customers is much greater than what the company can currently handle. Then the business develops. This is the theory of imbalance.

But then we realized that this was a wrong, soulless model. Because there is always a person in the center. And we came up with a new model.

A business has five parts. First, a product appears, then its sales, then a system is built, then a stable team is formed. At the center of everything is the personality of the founder (owner).

And then - a new round - an improved product, sales at a new level, a system at a new level, an updated team of people of a higher level. Companies, as a rule, develop in an upward spiral and go through these four stages at each turn.

For example, "Business-Molodist" is now entering the second round, the first stage of the second round, we are creating an updated main product "BM-Coaching".

Do you somehow check the students who are undergoing trainings, have they mastered everything, have they done the assignments, and so on?

Of course, we have a full-fledged certification system. After completing a two-month course, they pass the exam. With all legal documents, with proof of turnover, with marketing materials. A huge folder is taken for this exam.

They must confirm their result. They maintain a management table with all the indicators for the business, provide documents, invoices, acts, etc.

Do you have statistics on how many people take this exam?

We have a bar, the minimum threshold is 120 thousand rubles for two months. There is a second and third level, +300 thousand and +1 million +120 makes about 25% of the course participants. More than a million a month makes about 5% of all listeners. This is a certification, every student who qualifies for this has two mentors who have already passed this, and who already know how to earn money. They constantly ask students: "Where is the invoice?", "Where are the contracts?"

Is there a moment of deception? Yes, probably. But it is important to understand that you need to work very hard to fake it. In the latest version of the training, in order to deceive us, he will have to forge a legal entity, contracts and extracts. You understand that if he did it, then he is already a rather talented person, and the road is probably open for him, but not into the traditional business.

Do you have any idols among Russian or Western businessmen? Who do you look up to (if, of course, you do)?

I respect him as a theoretical character, I respect him as a creator of beautiful products, but as a life strategy I cannot choose his path. When the company is put first in life, it is not mine. I like simple human happiness - health, family and money. If I have a choice between a family or a business, I will definitely choose a family. Health or business is definitely health. And businessmen who put their lives on the line, and everything revolves around their business, this option is not suitable for me, for me personally.

Donald Trump, famous American businessman and investor. Do I want to consider him as my teacher? No I do not think so. When I watch him on TV, I feel sick. I don't have a pleasant feeling.

Who do I want to be like? One acquaintance recently told a story that he was in the Tretyakov Gallery, and one of our very cool oligarchs restored one room there and hung a table the size of a window that he did it. Is he good or not? I say - well, well done. But for me personally, this is not the case.

Because there is Tretyakov and there is an oligarch. These are different values ​​for all parameters, different values ​​for the exhaust. Tretyakov built a gallery, put his life on it, and the oligarch repaired the room there. At the age of 18, Tretyakov formulated a goal for himself in life: to take energy from society, structure it and give it back as a benefit.

I respect the scale of what he did. Do we find such people among us? I believe that no, I do not see them. When I look at Tretyakov, I have a feeling of affection and pleasantness.

Do you want to be remembered in the same way as about Tretyakov?

Benefit is a by-product of a well-organized person. And when you arrange your work and your actions in the right way, a side effect of this is some kind of utility. And in the center is not the benefit, but the person who works on himself. And all you can influence is to make yourself a little better, every day. You cannot improve other people, this is an illusion, this is a myth.

It was Seraphim of Sarov who said, "Save yourself, thousands will be saved." Don't touch people, take care of yourself. You need to come to an agreement with yourself, understand what you want and act. And this is the most productive position.

- What is Business Youth?

It is currently the largest community of entrepreneurs in the world. We unite about 2,300,000 people. We looked for global communities of entrepreneurs, but there are no organized ones like us. Our community is not limited to entrepreneurs. For example, there are 105 thousand clients who have studied with us for six years. Now we have 5 thousand people studying at the courses.

- Wait, what kind of courses? I thought you were a public organization, some kind of semi-state.

There is a community in Business of Youth, but we do not manage it. We are the only private business school, but this is more of a shortcut because we have a different strategy. - How do you differ from business incubators?

We are distinguished by quality. No one has analogues of our development.

We started six years ago when there were business incubators. I did not understand how in an incubator you can not only build a multibillion-dollar business, but simply catch on and make the first one hundred, two hundred, three hundred thousand. Everything confuses the brain: investments, pitches, you have to run after something. All incubators do not work and are far from reality, where you need to be able to do something for people and take money for it.

- How do you attract clients?

I still don't know exactly how it works for us. We have a sales department, we have a YouTube channel, we have a database of e-mail addresses and a telephone number. The site molodost.bz had approximately three million visitors in February.

People watch and go to our content, video. We shoot a lot and talk about the results clearly. In business incubators it is not clear why to go there, they do not tell real stories. People really need to come somewhere, apply their talents and make money.

We have an internal development - the analytical program "Smol-data", with the help of which we control each person who goes through our program. For example, at the time of the start, people came with a total income of 153 million rubles. This was their income. They set a goal to make a profit of 609 million rubles. In fact, they made 1 billion. Our people make real money, and we keep track of them at every step.

- How do you specifically help entrepreneurs to increase their profits?

In different ways: goal setting, management implementation. We have a complex matrix system. We rate all people by income and give everyone a coach who is a practicing entrepreneur. Moreover, our coaches compete with each other, whose learning outcome is better. In parallel, we divide people into teams that have their own races. - How many teachers do you have in your organization?

We have about 300 trainers. They teach offline, live. A coach is an entrepreneur with an income of at least ten times more than the entire group of students. Coaching is not paid - it is volunteering. Entrepreneurs love teaching, they love it.

Now 5 thousand people study at the courses. Our task is individual training. We divide everyone into groups of 20 people, in which our trainers teach. We pay attention to each student. We have a system in which we track the result of each student.

- Tell us about this system? Is this your development?

Yes, this is completely our development. For five years I tried to do everything on my own, but I realized that it was very difficult on my own, and began to make a funnel for developers. We have about six internal IT projects for individual teams that work with their own budget and profit.

Now we are launching a project with startups with Mikhail Smolyanov from Megaprooryv. We realized that we know how to get entrepreneurs, but we don't want to enter the share of the business - it's boring. Making a big startup accelerator is the goal. We want to gather a thousand cool development teams, train them, give them the opportunity to earn money, and take the coolest guys to our service development.

Over the years we have learned to generate a huge stream of loyal entrepreneurs, but our pain is that they have come and gone. They are not our lifelong clients. Therefore, we decided to offer IT services that cover their pain.

For example, the entire market of paid CRM systems in Russia is 18 thousand users. This is very small. We have 43 thousand business clients per year. If we had our own CRM-system, then we could train these people to work on the CRM, introduce it. Due to this, we would have lifelong clients, the very same life-value.

For this year, our task is to create 30 services. We now have five that are already profitable. For example, the "Bullet" page generation service. All landing pages are inhuman and heavy, and in Pool you can create a website with one screen and maximum conversion by answering just five questions. In the second month of operation, "Puli" had 6 thousand paying customers.

In general, we will continue to create a funnel of loyal entrepreneurs and at the same time create a funnel of IT projects for these entrepreneurs.

- The numbers speak for themselves: in 2014 you had 300 thousand visitors to the site, and now - 21 million. This is serious. It's probably time for us to partner with you.

We can do a lot for you, and it's interesting. There is a belief that we are working with small start-up entrepreneurs, but this is not the case.

- You have almost a billion rubles in revenue for 2016. And what is the net profit?

For the main products we have made, profitability has improved significantly. Last year we made about 300 million rubles.

Therefore, the only way out that we see is mass entrepreneurship. How to do this when there are several business schools in the country, which are discussing among themselves who is more advanced? We have critically few business schools, especially private ones. Our "Business Youth" enters the IT market, we want to enter America, China and India. When we show our developments abroad, they are shocked. We have talented people packing this into the system. And then we will unpack it in America, China and India.

- Be careful. Everything is different there: markets, mentality, culture, scale of investments. On the fingers of your hands you can count the successful Russian projects abroad.

To be honest, we have a big task: to make the number one accelerator in the world. We have technology and we don't want to be trailed. Our global performance shows that we are moving forward. And if we go further, a unique phenomenon of the “Russian big incubator” will be created.

- I look at your numbers on the Similar-Web portal. Here are a lot of referral links. Where do you advertise and how do you get traffic?

There is remarketing and retargeting. There is paid advertising. But the main traffic is organic. We have a lot of content, people watch it on YouTube and Vimeo and come to us. We know how to make big moves, but so far we are not very good at converting them.

I have always tried to set a goal for a big number and strive for it. For example, we calculated that if one sales manager brings in 600 thousand, then we need 500 sales people. We hired 40 people a month, scanned the entire market, looked at 10,000 resumes. We have automated everything and have been recognized as one of the best Sales Force implementations in Russia.

We made a lot of revenue, but didn't know there were big expenses. We had a large, ineffective structure. I then thought that I knew everything, and delegated everything to top managers. Lost the levers of company management. But in 2014 there was a cash gap of minus 77 million. Thanks to this, I took over the company, cleaned up the structure and got involved in finance, accounting and management.

- Tell us about yourself. Who is Peter Osipov?

I was born in Cheboksary in 1987. Grew up there. My father was an artist and participated in political campaigns as a designer. I wanted to work in the political field because from the age of 17 I participated in advertising campaigns for local elections. Then in 2005 he moved to Moscow, went to study as a political scientist and work in the State Duma. He was an assistant to the deputy, held about three elections. I had an office overlooking the Kremlin at the age of 19. Those were romantic times: I read Ogilvy, Pelevin, listened to Bowie.

After some time, I realized that I have nowhere to develop in politics. And I went to sell ads and additional courses. The leads were pretty cool: you had to go around schools, go to lessons, talk about the product.

In parallel, I read a lot, developed in business psychology. He attended trainings by Radislav Gandapas, Sergei Azimov. It was interesting to me, the information helped me sell in schools. But I did not understand what the ultimate goal of these trainings was and what the result should be. As a result, I opened two of my courses for teenagers. We read Branson's books, hung out, shared ideas. This is how I earned my first 100 thousand rubles.

Then I met Mikhail Dashkiev, my partner. He had a great marketing experience. We brought together the first group of students and newcomers to business who have not found their way into business incubators and government programs. We began to meet and figure out how we can grow up and what to do to make big money. This is how Business Youth was born.

Don't listen to anyone and make a lot of money. The best thing you can do for the country today is buy yourself a great Mercedes, get on your feet, make a million, and so on.

Russia is the best place with huge business ROI. In Europe, there are no such figures for the return on investment. Look only at yourself, look for people who believe in you, earn the first million, and then a billion is not far away. Russia needs more billionaires.
