Spot LED ceiling lighting. Ceiling lighting

IMPORTANT!!!

The specialists of our company will FREE OF CHARGE help you to calculate the illumination, the number and power of the lamps. They will also advise on the location of lighting devices, taking into account the design and zoning of the room

There is a very important plus for stretch ceilings - they can hide electrical wiring under them, so you can add and diversify lighting in your room. To begin with, I would like to dwell on various options.

Chandelier lighting

To date, the range of chandeliers presented on the shelves of shops and markets is simply huge. There are, perhaps, for every taste. If you do not like the standard options, then there are companies that manufacture custom-made chandeliers. But for us, as for an organization engaged in installation, lighting devices are divided according to the method of attachment:

  • Hook mount chandelier. Everything is very simple here - a hook is screwed into the concrete ceiling, onto which your lamp is then hung. This type of fastening is considered simplified for us.

  • Chandeliers with ceiling mount type. For them, a mortgage platform must be placed behind the canvas. To which it will be possible to fix such a light device.

Lighting of premises with a chandelier at the moment in terms of frequency of use is not inferior to built-in lamps. After all, it can add sophistication. And in large rooms, sometimes a chandelier is indispensable in principle.

Lighting fixtures

This option is very popular in small rooms or where it is necessary to divide zones or add light to the main one. Today, built-in lighting devices can be divided into three main groups:

  • Luminaires with a lamp outside the canvas. In this case, the stretch ceiling drops minimally, due to the fact that there is no need to retreat the distance necessary to place the lamp and the base. This plus, accordingly, becomes a minus for those who do not like that the whole lamp is clearly visible. Caps in them, as a rule, G4 or G9.

  • The most common versions of luminaires with lamps, GU 5.3 or MR-16 bases. Most of these lighting fixtures surround you with just such lamps. Their variety is almost limitless. But there is one significant drawback - the height of the lamp. It is about 6-6.5 centimeters. Because of this, the canvas will drop at least 7 centimeters. Previously, such lighting devices had another disadvantage in that they had only halogen lamps under them, which with PVC film could be installed no more powerful than 35 watts. 50-watt bulbs are almost guaranteed to burn through the canvas over time. Now there is already a large assortment of lamps with LEDs - the luminous efficiency of which is very high, with low power consumption.

  • Ultra-thin lamps, or, as they are also called, special for stretch ceilings. Previously, they were presented mainly with the GX-53 lamp. The standard thickness of the device was only 38 millimeters. And the diameter of the lamp is about 10 centimeters. They give a lot of light and do not lower the level of the canvas much. At the moment, with the development of LEDs, ultra-thin lamps with a thickness of 15-20 millimeters have appeared. But so far they are quite expensive.

With led strip

In rare cases, this type can be called the main one, as a rule, LED strips are used as additional lighting. We will probably tell you about each of them:

  • Full lighting with LED strip. As a rule, this method is chosen in small rooms - bath, toilet, corridor. In this case, the LED strip is used a lot and it consumes a lot of electricity. But this option looks really very unusual.

  • Illumination of the level in the structure. This is perhaps the most popular LED strip solution. It creates additional lighting and due to this, the level transition looks even brighter.

  • Also, very often they install LED lighting around the perimeter of the room, hiding the tape behind a polyurethane plinth. This option is popular due to the fact that it can be performed with your own hands. The process is laborious, but not technically difficult.

  • Hovering construction. In this case, a space remains between the stretch ceiling and the wall, into which the LED strip is mounted. When you turn it on, it seems that the canvas is floating in the air, since there is an even light along its perimeter.

  • Stretch ceilings with hidden decorative lighting. The LED strip is mounted under the canvas, which imitates any pattern or lines. When the tape is off, you have a simple flat surface, and when you turn it on, it becomes very unusual and sophisticated.

As you can see, the LED strip can be used both for the familiar backlighting, which has probably been seen by many, and for creating interesting visual effects.

The downside, when using LED strips, is the desirable installation of power supplies and the controller in an accessible place. Electronic equipment, unfortunately, does not last forever. This moment needs to be planned in advance.

Now here are our tips for lighting in individual rooms.

In the nursery

How to choose lighting for a children's room, because we want to make this room pleasant and unusual? It's hard to say for sure what would be the best option for this room. Perhaps you decide to install a beautiful chandelier there or make a minimalist style for a teenager. Or make a beautiful backlight with LED strip. Everything is limited by the height of the room, the budget and your imagination. The basic rule in the choice is that the illumination should be high, especially in the areas for playing games or studying, and the ceiling should be combined with the overall design of the children's room.

On the kitchen

In the kitchen, there are usually two main areas, which should have a lot of light. The first is the work surface of the kitchen set. And the second is a dining area with a table where people eat. The second zone is a little easier - with a good chandelier at the table, there will be enough light for breakfast or dinner, but there may not be much of it on the work surface. That is why built-in lamps are so often installed above the headset in the stretch ceiling in the kitchen. And as a rule, they leave the chandelier.

Although the bathroom is a small room, the light there should be bright and pleasant. Most often in bathrooms, spotlights are used. The main reason is not to fence the chandeliers in a small room. Although sometimes in large baths you can see both structures and large lighting fixtures. But if your bathroom is not large, but there is a desire to make it unusual - the option with a fully luminous surface. Perhaps this is your choice?

In the bedroom

In the bedroom, it is desirable to create a bright main lighting and additional lighting for reading books or a romantic setting. For the main lighting, as a rule, a chandelier is used, for reading or bedside lamps, or built-in above the head of the bed. But for the light that creates a romantic atmosphere, LED strip is most often used. It can be hidden in the transition of the two-level structure, behind the curtain rod or in the niches on the wall above the bed.

Summing up

In general, it does not matter in which room you are going to equip the light space. The basic rules are simple: stretch ceilings, like lighting, should be in harmony with the overall interior, there should be a lot of light. And if you are one of those who love dim light, then it is better to divide it into bright and calm, pleasant for you. After all, it may be necessary to turn on a bright light, and if you do not do it, then there will be no opportunity to turn it on. And the most important rule when choosing lighting is to choose what you like best. We can advise, but living with the option you have chosen is only for you.

When implementing interesting ideas for ceiling lighting, it is worth taking into account some basic recommendations regarding the location, design and construction features of certain types of luminaires. The right lighting can really transform a room.

Consider the following points:

  • the distribution of light should occur evenly over the surface;
  • luminaires must have a certain power and provide the required backlight intensity;
  • it is best to use the most economical, while having a long service life, lamps (optimally - LED);
  • the wires must be hidden;
  • using a hidden type of lighting, hide the luminaire bodies in a special cornice;
  • to create a soft, flooded light, you need to direct the plafond up;
  • the design of the luminaires should be in harmony with the furniture and the general style of the room.

Main light sources

The classic option is to use chandeliers to illuminate the room. In this case, it is necessary to pay attention first of all to the weight of the product. Some ceilings (eg plasterboard) may not be able to handle heavy loads.

Chandelier lighting provides a fairly intense and diffused stream. In this case, one chandelier may be enough to illuminate the room. Its advantage is that, if desired, you can illuminate both a two-level and an inclined ceiling (using a suspended product on a chain).

Spot lighting on the ceiling is a modern option. There are outdoor and built-in lamps. The former distribute the light better over the entire surface.

Such lamps have a huge number of advantages, the simplicity of their installation and external attractiveness incline to the choice of just this type of lighting. The downside is that some of these products are capable of damaging the ceiling when heated, such problems can occur most often with stretch ceilings.

It is convenient to illuminate specific areas with directional lamps, they have a focused light flux.

With their help, it is possible to visually change and expand the space. In addition, a directional light is good for use in the kitchen in the work area.

Installation of the so-called hidden lighting requires the use of LED or neon strips. They can be used in any room except the bathroom - they do not tolerate high humidity conditions.

Ceiling lighting options

The various designs of modern ceilings give you the opportunity to choose from a variety of lighting options. Stretch, wooden, suspended ceilings began to be used more and more often.

Lighting a plasterboard suspended ceiling most often involves the use of spotlights. They are mounted along the contour of the ceiling, in a row or in a spiral, depending on the preferences and style of the room.

The wiring is carried out during the creation of the ceiling frame. Chandeliers can also be suitable for a suspended ceiling, the main point is their correct fixation and the choice of a product that is not too heavy in weight.

With the lighting of the stretch ceiling, it is already more difficult - the PVC tape has a low level of strength and heat resistance, therefore, under the weight of the lamp, it will instantly break.

Here, the use of spotlights will come in handy. They are mounted in pre-prepared holes, and the LEDs barely heat up. If you already have a hook for the chandelier, during the renovation phase you need to take care of the hole for the wires, then you can easily install it.

Another option - armed with an LED strip, you can make a hidden illumination of such a ceiling. It can be successfully combined with spotlights - good ideas for lighting such a ceiling are shown in the photo.

Concrete or wooden ceilings are not too demanding - any stylish chandeliers are perfect, massive and heavy for greater reliability, it is better to attach to the anchor.

It is impractical to use point light here - installation in a wooden ceiling will be too difficult.

LED strip can be used provided that a special cornice is made in advance and its location is thought out. Wall lights can also help create a pleasant atmosphere in a wooden country house.

The corridor

Most often this is a room with an inconvenient layout - narrow and long, or so small that there is nowhere to put a closet.

You can visually change this with the help of light: installing spotlights along the corridor, the beams of light from which are directed downward, will visually make the room shorter. In case it is necessary to expand the space, the light should go up.

Kitchen

To illuminate the ceiling in the kitchen, it is better to use an LED strip - it will look very creative in the kitchen space, and will help to increase the area of the room visually. It is also a good idea to use spotlight groups.

Bedroom

In the bedroom, you have room for improvisation - in addition to spot lighting, all kinds of sconces and floor lamps are suitable. To illuminate low ceilings, direct the light upward, creating illumination from all directions. This will help to visually increase the width and height of the bedroom.

Reducing an overly spacious room with a high ceiling is achieved by directing light down along the walls - in darkening, the ceiling will appear lower.

Living room

Here, original lighting can be created with the help of spotlights arranged in rows, as well as LED strips. The "starry sky" type of lighting is suitable for a high-tech living room. Interesting large models of chandeliers, lamps with an upward flow of light - all this will be very appropriate here.

Bathroom

The bathroom needs much more intense light than the rest of the room. This can be achieved by using waterproof LED luminaires.

Ceiling lighting photo

Ceiling lighting not only helps illuminate a room, but is also responsible for maintaining or refracting its proportions. If you choose the wrong light, you can completely ruin the whole picture. Due to the specifics of the ceiling covering, several lighting methods are distinguished, in which we will now try to figure it out.

Peculiarities

Ceiling lighting is selected individually for each room, depending on its characteristics. For example, to get the lighting right for low ceilings or for beamed ceilings, you need to use two completely different approaches. In the first case, it is preferable to install recessed lighting, as it will visually add height, and in the second, to emphasize the two-level ceiling with a rustic chandelier or a loft, depending on the style of the room.

It is now fashionable to highlight the ceiling around the perimeter of the room, but this is not always appropriate. Sometimes it is much better to replace hidden strip lighting with LED spotlights, especially if the room is large. This way you can achieve an even level of illumination in every corner.

To take into account all possible nuances, you definitely need to plan the location of the ceiling lamps in advance. This is especially important, since few ceiling structures can immediately "adjust" to the owners' momentary desires. For example, in the case of stretch ceilings, if you do not lay the wiring in advance, the entire canvas will have to be pulled over. The specificity is that for the location of the lamps, the ceiling must be strengthened and glued in the right places, and all these procedures are carried out even before it is fixed.

How to arrange?

Correct positioning of ceiling lights is the key to the success of a beautiful space organization. To do everything right, you will need to draw up a drawing plan for the arrangement of furniture at the initial stage of the repair. So you will know exactly where you need to enhance the light, and where, on the contrary, darken the space a little.

Usually, when placing ceiling lights, they are guided by the following rule: all important details must be emphasized with backlighting. This can be a composition of photographs on the wall, a reading chair, a dining table where the whole family gathers - whatever. Knowing ahead of time where you plan to put a sofa or hang a mirror can make planning much easier.

If you are planning to install more than just one single ceiling chandelier, you cannot leave thinking about the location of the lighting for later. This is fraught with damage to the entire room due to incorrectly placed light accents.

Options for stretch fabrics

For stretch ceilings, three types of ceiling lamps are used: pendant lamp, recessed lighting or perimeter lighting. The latter option is especially common for plasterboard ceilings, as it allows you to emphasize an interesting multi-level composition.

The pendant lamp can be located even in the middle of the room, at least in several places. It is not forbidden to use several different types of chandeliers. This is done in order to divide the space into zones, especially when it comes to large studio apartments. When choosing bulbs for a chandelier, it should be borne in mind that their power should not be more than 40 W if the lamp is close to the ceiling, otherwise the ceiling can be deformed.

Recessed spotlights are good for highlighting details and for creating the illusion of "light straight from the ceiling." Please note that spotlights must be hidden behind decorative strips or recessed into the ceiling, otherwise attention will be focused on them, and not on the lighting object.

The perimeter backlight can be operated either from a switch or be lit on a permanent basis. Two models of light sources are presented that can create the desired effect: LED strip or duralight. The LED strip is soft and can be mounted anywhere, it gives a bright enough light. Duralight is less bright and is made in the form of a flexible cord, but if you lay it in 2-3 rows, it will not be much inferior to LED strips in terms of brightness.

For two-level ceilings

In modern design, it is customary to focus on two-level ceilings, so the use of spotlights or LED strips is mandatory. It is important to emphasize the different levels and their differences. For example, one of the classic methods is to mount an LED strip in a niche between drywall levels.

The lower level is usually highlighted on the sides by spotlights. It can be directed from the center of the room or to the center depending on how the levels are arranged. Many designers resort to the following trick to expand the space: they make the central part of the ceiling higher and glossy, and lower it a little in matte side ones. Thus, the backlighting towards the center, reflected as much as possible by the glossy coating, makes the room incredibly bright and high. Correctly selected light temperature can also make such a structure cozy.

A hanging chandelier is usually one in the center. Its size, shape and design are selected depending on the style of the room. For example, for classic interiors it can be a large bouchet chandelier decorated with crystal pendants, and for high-tech interiors it can be a geometric simple pendant shade.

Solutions on a beveled surface

It is not necessary to decorate the attic ceiling with only one small light source. Depending on the height of the ceiling, you can also afford large chandeliers. However, this rule applies to high attics, and only the high part of the bevel can be framed in this way.

With the low part, things are not so rosy. Often it is impossible to somehow arrange it at all, since the height is extremely small. The best choice in this case would be LED luminaires. They do not have to be powerful, but the illumination must be sufficient.

Make sure that every corner of the attic is light. When planning, be sure to describe how you will decorate the darkened part, because the light of one central lamp is often not enough. If you correctly design a sloped ceiling, you will be able to visually "raise" it, making the room seem larger and more comfortable.

Luminous ceiling as the main light source

Many people believe that in order to create high-quality light in a room, it is imperative to illuminate it at all levels: the ceiling, walls and even the floor. Let's not argue, this is often the case, but for most rooms, ceiling lighting alone is sufficient. This is due to the fact that typically in Russian apartments there are no large ceilings and huge areas, and the ceiling light reaches the floor unhindered without being lost somewhere in the middle.

However, if you are the lucky owner of three-meter ceilings, there is a way out here. Height-adjustable ceiling chandeliers have recently returned to fashion. If desired, they can be lowered, brightly illuminating any detail, and raised, if necessary, to return soft diffused lighting.

Now such chandeliers are made as safe as possible, using LED lamps in them. They do not heat up by themselves and do not heat up the chandelier body, so there is no chance of getting severely burned during manipulation of the height adjustment. Such models can even be used in a nursery.

To make the ceiling the only source of light, the brightness of the lamps must be correctly selected. Consult with a specialist about buying a particular model of a light bulb, ask questions of interest about power, brightness, color temperature. As a rule, you can get a free consultation right at the time of buying a lamp.

Types of lamps

In addition to the typical listed options, alternative lighting sources are used in different styles of interiors.

  • Tires. Suspended curtain rails are back in vogue in place of the modern loft style. They are structures to which various lamps are attached, and then everything is suspended from the ceiling together. In fact, the tire is an ordinary rectangular chandelier on the rods.

  • Floodlights for indoor use. A bold option that does not fit into every room. Spotlights provide a bright, narrow beam of light. They can be fixed or movable. Movable options are much more convenient, since the light can be redirected depending on your needs. The big disadvantage is that the floodlights give mainly cold light, which is practically not used in living quarters.

  • Spots... Spot luminaires are movable structures with linear illumination, somewhat similar to spotlights, but their beam strength clearly cannot compete with its analogue. Spots are also used to highlight the most interesting details.

Despite the fact that the listed types of lighting devices are quite common, they are still practically not used alone. They are combined with typical representatives - ordinary pendant chandeliers.

Eaves

To make a hidden backlight, drywall is most often used. Niches made of this material are ideal for this due to its excellent decorative properties. You can model any edge for backlighting: oval, straight, wavy.

In such niches, ordinary plastic curtain rods are hidden, which can be easily equipped with lighting. This illusion of curtains falling out of nowhere, and even highlighted from above, looks appropriate in almost any interior.

In addition to busbar structures, baguette cornices can also be equipped with lighting. Some models even have special cavities so that there is where to hide the wires. In any case, there will be no problems with hiding the wires: they can easily be hidden behind the decorative strip.

The illuminated cornice in the ceiling lighting plays a rather significant role, especially when it comes to lighting around the perimeter of the room. Such a selection of lighting allows you to make the room larger, expand it, while emphasizing the design of the window.

Styles

Particular attention is paid to ceiling lighting by a modern trend in styles. Loft, minimalism, hi-tech, modern require the widespread use of various types of ceiling lamps. All of these styles are united by certain rules:

  • Not necessary choose the same ceiling lamps, most important of all is their functional component. For minimalism, it is advisable to choose lamps of the simplest design with good light output, industrial-style chandeliers are suitable for a loft, fancy metal structures for high-tech and modern.

Lighting design of the ceiling space for any room is quite a responsible business.

Therefore, before starting to select options for lighting the ceiling, you should pay attention to several important aspects related to the design features of ceiling surfaces.

When installing lighting equipment, you should take into account such requirements as:

  • light fluxes should spread evenly throughout the room;
  • all lighting fixtures must have the same following indicators: power, glow intensity, light spectrum;
  • light bulbs should be selected bright, durable and economical, for example, LED copies;
  • the design of lighting devices and the entire interior with furniture items should be the same;
  • to create a soft pleasant illumination, all lamps are directed upward, for brighter illumination - downward;

The wires must be hidden - with hidden installation, the wiring is hidden under the wall decoration, in the case of open installation, all wires are hidden in cable channels.

Types of lighting fixtures for the ceiling

How to organize the lighting of the ceiling and what lamps will be used for this should be thought about even at the stage of finishing work. There are several types of fixtures.

The chandelier is an everyday classic. The main thing to pay attention to is the weight of the product, since some ceiling surfaces, for example, drywall, may not withstand fastenings.

Chandeliers have a diffused luminous flux, so one of them will be enough for the entire area of the room. This is a fairly versatile type of luminaire, so they are suitable for multi-level structures and for inclined surfaces.

Built-in or outdoor spotlights - outdoor ones shine more brightly.

Such spotlights have an undeniable plus - ease of installation. However, it is not uncommon for such light sources to damage the ceiling surfaces, usually tension ones.

Note! Lighting in the apartment - 75 photos of original lighting ideas in the interior

Lamps with directional luminous flux - illuminate a specific area with light. Often used to illuminate the working kitchen area, or to adjust the area of the room.

LED (neon) strip - used for hidden lighting of ceiling structures. Such a tape is placed inside the eaves. It is used with any room, except for the bathroom, since increased moisture is contraindicated for this product.

Types of ceiling coverings and their lighting

What kind of ceiling lighting should be depends on the design features of the surface.

Suspended ceiling structures are created from plasterboard sheets that are attached to frame profiles. Spotlights are usually used for this type of surface.

You should think about the location of the fixtures in advance, since holes should be made for them in the plasterboard.

Also, with a plasterboard type of ceiling, chandeliers are used. It is only important to choose the right way to fix the lamp.

If the device is not too heavy, then it is possible to fix it on the dowel-hook to the concrete surface. If the chandelier is heavy, then an anchor should be chosen.

The choice of lighting for stretch ceiling surfaces is more difficult. Since the film has low mechanical strength, it is impossible to attach lighting fixtures to it.

The best option for such a coating is the spotlights, which are mounted in prepared seats and practically do not emit heat.

If a chandelier is still needed, then a hole in the material should be made in advance, through which the wires will connect to the chandelier, and then removed under the decor cover.

It is also possible to use hidden LED strip lighting for stretch ceiling surfaces.

Any kind of lighting fixture is suitable for a concrete or wood ceiling sheet. However, it will be quite laborious to mount point devices into such surfaces.

Lighting for every room

A corridor is often an uncomfortable narrow elongated room or a small square room. To shorten a long corridor, you can place recessed lights along the entire ceiling and direct the light downward. And to increase the area of a small room, you should direct the light up.

Kitchen room - here the best option would be to combine spotlights and LED strip.

Bedroom - here you can pick up any device from a small wall sconce to massive floor lamps.

For the living room, you can create a real unique design of the ceiling, which will become the "highlight" of the entire home. The photo of the ceiling lighting shows that the effect of the "starry night sky" can become such a ceiling.

The main condition for the type of lighting in the bathroom is a lot of bright quality light, thanks to which unwanted shadows from objects will not be cast.

Ceiling lighting photo

A ceiling with perimeter lighting is a very original solution that looks much more attractive than just a ceiling without lighting. This design solution is simple and quite inexpensive. In addition, such illumination can be made by yourself, with your own hands, without resorting to the help of a hired team, which, by the way, is quite expensive.

LEDs were not adopted by chance, since LED lighting is not just lamps, but a very thoughtful design solution, which, together with the main lighting, creates a harmonious light ensemble.

In our time of incessant crises, budget repairs have become fashionable, which, by the way, are even more spectacular than expensive ones, at incomparably lower costs.

Practically anyone can arrange such a simple design as LED backlighting.

Perhaps it is worth considering one of the most common methods, where the LED strip is placed in a drywall box.

Its advantages:

  • Since the box is placed in the second level, it seems that the light is coming from nowhere;
  • The light does not hurt the eyes, and it flows evenly around the entire perimeter of the ceiling.

Installation of such a box, of course, requires some cost and effort in terms of installation. However, there are much simpler methods.

LED lighting around the perimeter of the ceiling: in a foam baseboard

Alternatively, an LED strip is used, which is placed in a wide foam ceiling plinth, made with imitation of hand-made stucco molding. The skirting board is attached to the wall along its lower edge.

A gap of about 5-7 cm is left between the ceiling and the plinth, and an LED strip is hidden in the resulting pocket.

Such a ceiling with LED strip is also widely used.

Advantages:

  1. Much cheaper than a drywall box;
  2. Much easier to install.

Thanks to these two qualities, the installation of the illuminated ceiling is greatly simplified.

Required materials for LED backlight device

There are not so many materials for a LED backlight device, and the materials themselves are inexpensive.

What do you need:

  • Conductive tape with LEDs. Tapes are waterproof (white) and RGB (multi-colored). The waterproof tapes are housed in a white silicone tube. They are more expensive, but, at the same time, have reliable isolation from possible leaks from the upper floors.
  • Step-down transformer to which the diode tape is connected. It is built into the gap between the switch and the backlight.

The LED strip is switched on with a separate switch.

The backlight will lose all the showiness interrupted by the main lighting.

It has already been mentioned that there are tapes that produce multi-colored (RGB) backlighting. In this case, in addition to the transformer, there is a need for a controller in order to be able to control the brightness. Light switching is carried out by the program.

Tapes are different, both in power and in the frequency of placement of LEDs on them. The most common tapes with a density of 30, 60 and 120 LEDs per meter. The higher the density, the greater the brightness.

Ceilings with LED strip under the skirting boards

You can, of course, rummage through the Internet for a long time, killing your time and doubting the correctness of your actions, or you can simply make the correct calculation in order to understand the benefits of this event.

LED strips are a very reliable source of lighting, lamps are changed very rarely - strips are very reliable and durable.

In order to arrange everything correctly, you will need the simplest knowledge, plus simple actions.

Actions:

  1. We need accurate measurements of the perimeter of your room;
  2. The resulting result is multiplied by the power of one running meter of the LED strip;
  3. In order not to doubt the power, you need to consult with the seller before buying;
  4. Based on these data, you need to choose a power supply and a controller.

If the ceiling is multi-level, then the LED lighting is perfectly combined with a beautiful chandelier. By the way, highlighting can be performed not with a single tape, but with its fragments.

Correct connection and installation

In order for the backlight to turn out without flaws and shortcomings, some rules should be taken into account.

Rules:

  • The tape is sold in 5-meter spools and, if necessary, it is cut and soldered to the desired size;
  • The tape is carefully cut only according to the markings;
  • Pieces of tape are soldered according to the scheme;
  • In order to fix the LED strip, use double-sided tape, or self-adhesive tape. Before gluing, the surfaces are degreased, the protective layer is removed, and the tape itself is pressed against the required area.

The installation of the tape on the skirting board is different from the installation of the tape on the wall. Both options are used by the consumer.

The skirting board is not glued directly to the ceiling, but five centimeters lower and ten centimeters lower if glued to the skirting board.

It happens that the power supply is sold without a power cord. Then you need to buy a cord.

How to solder correctly:

  1. Plus or minus when the tape is the same color;
  2. If the tape is colored (RGB), then the V +, R, G and B pins should be soldered.

After the tape is the correct size, you need to connect the transformer and controller.

Do not allow tape overheating when soldering! You cannot solder more than three coils in series - the tracks, in this case, do not withstand the load.

At all stages of work, the main principle is accuracy, care and thoroughness. The bending radius is at least 2 cm. The tracks must not be bent more than 90 °.

How to connect RGB LED strip (video)

Finally, the following should be noted. There is no need to talk about the originality of the ceiling with LED lighting, since it is already quite obvious. In addition, one of the advantages of such a ceiling is the fact that the installation of the backlight is not something prohibitively complicated, requiring the intervention of narrow specialists with special training - you can easily do it yourself. I am also glad that such illumination can be arranged both on a plasterboard ceiling and on a stretch ceiling. In a word, after studying articles on this topic, looking at photo and video materials, properly thinking about how it all will look, purchase the necessary materials, and, rolling up your sleeves, get down to business.
