    How to find a fault

    Machine disassembly

    If the causes of breakdowns are external (the drain or inlet hose is clogged, there is no pressure) - there is no need to open the device. But if the defect lies inside (for example, the machine does not turn on or does not execute commands):

    1. 1. Remove the upper surface first. They stand behind the machine, unscrew the screws (2 pcs) under the cover and pull it towards themselves.
    2. 2. Unscrew the screws holding the back wall.

    Fill/drain problems

    If, when you turn on the washing machine, there is no characteristic noise of the passage of water, and when the wringing or complete completion of the washing process does not drain the liquid, then the corresponding codes will be displayed on the screen:

    The error occurs when the inlet valves break or become clogged, the triac malfunctions, the water pressure is low, or the control board elements do not work properly. A multimeter is used to check electronics and electricians, in other cases a visual-manual method is used.

    Accidents in which the case is opened:

    1. 1. Malfunctions of the electronic board (EP). It is often located under the detergent drawer or against the front wall. Check the wires connecting this module to the filling nodes. If they are in order, then when you turn on the washing unit in the network or press the "Start" button, an alternating potential of 220 volts will appear on the valve terminals. If it's not there, it's EP's fault. It's hard to fix it yourself. It is better to contact the service or the store.
    2. 2. Inlet filter clogged. This is a mesh located between the valve and the inlet hose. It needs to be cleaned up.
    3. 3. Clogged or damaged valves - open or shorted windings. When you turn on the program, water is injected into the machine with a characteristic noise. If it is not there, the hose is clean, and the liquid does not pass into the powder filling tank and other components - the valve is faulty. In some devices, several of these parts are under the top cover, so you have to check each one.
    4. 4. Blockage in tubes and nodes. If the valves are in good condition, a step-by-step check of the cleanliness of the nodes is carried out. These are different nozzles, hoses, a container for powders, a pressure switch.
    5. 5. The flow sensor does not send a signal to the electronic unit.

    Checking and repairing valves

    They put the multimeter in the "dialing" mode, connect its probes to the terminals of the windings of each valve. When the readings of the device are close to zero or infinity, the part is changed. The resistance of a healthy node is 0.2-0.4 kOhm.

    It is easy to check the part if 220 volts from the EP are supplied to its terminals. It is enough to remove the valve, blow into it and at the same time press the "Start" button. If the air flows freely, the assembly is working.

    When there are hitches with the exit, the malfunction lies in the detail itself. It must be replaced or tried to be repaired (opened and eliminated blockage or damage).

    E13

    The code is displayed when there is a depressurization of any unit, a defect or a break in one or more internal hoses. It means that liquid is collected in the pan.

    Verification can take a long time:

    • it is necessary to disassemble the device and drain all the water from the pan;
    • turn on the car and see where it's coming from.

    To accurately locate the leak, you can place pieces of paper under each assembly and hose. If a defective block is identified, it is replaced or the damage is repaired with sealant, glue, or silicone.

    E21, EF1

    Waste liquid remained in the tank for more than 10 minutes. This defect occurs for the following reasons:

    • the pump is broken, its winding is damaged;
    • there is no signal to start the pump motor with EP;
    • debris in the drain hose or filter.

    Search algorithm:

    1. 1. Check the voltage at the outputs of the EA and the pump when the drain mode is turned on.
    2. 2. Disconnect the filter and drain hoses (internal and external, connected to the sewer). We need to find out if there is any garbage in them.
    3. 3. Determine the presence of a resistance of 170 ohms in the drain pump coil with a multimeter. If it shows values ​​much less than the specified value, then the turns have been closed. If the readings are greater - a break.

    EF2

    If this error is detected, you must immediately stop and turn off the machine. The code occurs due to an excess of foam in the tank.

    The danger is that the foam clogs the sewer riser and begins to seep into the side branches to the neighbors.

    To prevent trouble:

    1. 1. Turn off the machine and pull the hose out of the sewer.
    2. 2. Substitute a bath or other large container and, turning on the washing machine to drain, gradually remove foamed water from it.
    3. 3. Having cleaned the unit of excess foam, turn on the washing program so that clean water is drawn into the machine. Then insert the hose into the sewer and switch the program to drain.

    It does not hurt to check the pump and filter - they can be clogged with debris and foam.

    EF3

    The code notifies you of the activation of the automatic leakage control system - Aqua Control. The electronics will start the pump to completely drain the liquid or open a container with absorbent, which will fill a special two-layer hose and block the water inlet to the device.

    The machine will then beep and may stop. It will not turn on until the cause of the leak is found. This is often due to an electronics failure. If the wiring, EA or the pump itself is damaged, it overflows and the Aqua Control system is triggered.

    The test begins with determining the voltage at the pump contacts. If it is not there, inspect the EP and wires. Otherwise, check the resistance of the coils of this node. If it is 170 ohms, the pump is removed, disassembled and checked.

    Sensors

    The source of incorrect functioning of the washing machine can be various identification and testing devices. If they are faulty, the corresponding signal will not be sent to the main unit and the unit will stop, some element will burn out or leak.

    E31

    Drum, engine and its chains

    E52

    This error occurs for one reason: from the jitter of the mechanism during the operation of the tachometric generator, the washer fixing it very often jumps off. The coil of the tachometer is shifted, and it ceases to adequately assess the situation.

    You just need to "plant" it in its intended place. If this does not help, check the sensor itself or purchase a new one.

    E53, E55

    The engine does not receive a signal and start voltage. On the processor board, the motor control circuit is interrupted or the triac is damaged.

    It is necessary to check the connectors, tracks, contacts of the electronic module and the engine. To do this, the motor and all electrical circuits are “ringed”. If they are in order, the processor module must be repaired or replaced.

    E54

    The contacts of the engine reverse relay are “stuck” and the electric motor rotates the drum with the tank in one direction.

    If the part can be disassembled, repair it yourself. If it is impossible to open it, buy a new relay.

    E56, E59

    The control module does not receive data from the tachometer within the allotted time. This indicates an emergency condition of the motor or inverter, a wiring defect between them, a malfunction of the main unit or sensor.

    First, the circuits connecting the indicated blocks to a short circuit or open circuit are examined. Then the tachometric sensor is checked with a multimeter (tester).

    Algorithm:

    1. 1. The device is connected to the sensor winding and the changes are observed. A good coil has a resistance in the region of 60 ohms.
    2. 2. When rotating (even by hand) the pulley or drum, the readings on the instrument screen should change. If this is not observed - buy a new sensor.

    If everything is in order, the inverter or the electronics board is to blame. If burnt parts or tracks are not visible, they should be taken to the service.

    E57, E58

    The amount of current is much higher than the required limit. At a value of E57, it exceeds 15 A. If error E58 is indicated on the display, the phase current of the main motor is greater than 4.5 A.

    The causes of the malfunction must be sought in the EP or motor. "Ringing" motor coils. If their resistance is normal, check the electrical circuits and the inverter. Otherwise, the damage is in the control module.

    EA3

    Very often, the DSP system does not recognize the position of the main motor pulley and does not store its parameters in memory. All nodes indicated in the table are tested.

    The easiest way is to determine the stretch, wear or breakage of the belt and "ring out" the wires. Wrong parts must be replaced.

    If problems are present on the PM board or in the DSP system, they should also be replaced.

    Electronic Module Errors

    Very often, the processor unit or wiring is to blame for the inadequate operation of the washing unit. You can determine the cause by the code, but it is not always possible to repair the module on your own.

    control module

    To search for a burnt or defective part, you need a special stand, which is in the workshops. Its workers will repair the unit or pick up a new one.

    Mains frequency is not correct

Drain pump


The drain pump should be checked regularly, especially if:

Attention! Before opening the drain pump door, turn off the appliance and unplug the power cord from the socket.

Do the following:

  1. Unplug the household appliance's power cord from the outlet.
  2. Wait for the water to cool if necessary.
  3. Open the pump door by inserting a coin (or the special tool from the instruction manual bag, depending on the model) into the slot.
  4. Place a container next to the pump to collect any water that may leak out.
  5. Using pliers, remove the emergency drain plug from the filter cover.
  6. When the water stops flowing, unscrew the filter cover counterclockwise and remove the filter with pliers. Keep a rag handy at all times to wipe up any water that may spill when removing the filter. Clean the drain tube filter from traces of lint.
  7. Remove foreign objects and fluff from the pump housing and impeller.
  8. Check carefully the rotation of the pump impeller (it rotates in jerks). If rotation is difficult, contact the service center.
  9. Insert the filter in the correct position using the special guides. Rotate the cap clockwise to screw it on tightly.
  10. Reinstall the emergency drain plug and tighten it tightly.
