Serve fragrant and juicy skewers with bacon with meat sauce and garnish with fresh herbs. Bon appetit!

Chicken breast on skewers is a quick and simple recipe that can be eaten with a side dish or as an appetizer.
Ingredients.
Chicken breast (1 piece), bacon (100g), I couldn’t buy better bacon, unfortunately, the nearest stores had only this one, I have 50/50 bacon and lard, but it’s better, of course, to buy good bacon, there’s not that much fat . I removed it in the process. Soy sauce (100-150g), half a lemon, garlic (2 cloves), salt, ground pepper mixture, grill seasoning - all to taste. And skewers of course.

For the sauce. Sour cream (3 tbsp), lemon (2 tsp), garlic (1-2 cloves), salt and ground pepper mixture to taste.
You can prepare any sauce according to your taste)))

First you need to prepare the marinade for the chicken breast.
Pour the soy sauce into the bowl where the chicken will be marinated. Add 2 cloves of garlic to the soy sauce, use a garlic press (or grate it on a fine grater), add salt to taste, a mixture of ground peppers, grill seasoning, and squeeze the juice from half a lemon. You need to add salt carefully, try soy sauce before doing this, it has different tastes, more precisely salt, if it is very salty, then either do not use salt, or add a little salt.

Mix the marinade sauce.

Place the chicken pieces in the marinade and leave to marinate for 20 minutes. In my case, this time was enough, because there is a lot of marinade.

While the chicken breast is marinating, you can prepare the sauce for the kebabs.
I made a simple and quick sour cream sauce.
You need to add lemon juice to the sour cream, about 2 tsp.

Mix the sauce thoroughly.

The sauce for the chicken skewers is ready. To make the sauce spicier, you can add mustard to it.

The chicken has marinated, acquired a dark shade from the soy sauce, and you can place the kebabs on a skewer.
Since my bacon is very fatty, I removed the excess fat.
In order to cook the kebabs themselves, we need marinated chicken, bacon and skewers.

Wrap the chicken pieces in bacon. (I don’t know what else to call this process).

And put it on skewers. I did not soak the skewers or grease them with vegetable oil beforehand.

The second option is to place chicken pieces, alternating with bacon. I did this with pieces of bacon, which were very fatty.

Makes seven skewers. Which we will send to the oven.
The skewers need to be placed on the oven rack, and a baking sheet should be placed under the rack, as the fat will drip during the cooking process.
Preheat the oven to 180 degrees. We send the kebabs for 15-20 minutes, the mode was set to normal (with airflow).

After 15-20 minutes, open the oven and turn the kebabs over.
The photo shows how much fat was poured into the pan.

Once the kebabs are turned over, put them back in the oven for 5-7 minutes on the grill mode at 200 degrees. But no more, otherwise the kebabs will end up dry. If there is no grill mode, then go to normal mode.

This way, you don’t need to wash the oven for a long time from the grill)))
All the chicken skewers are ready in the oven!
We used it as an appetizer with wine))) With vegetables and sauce.
There was a thought that bacon could ruin everything, or rather spoil the taste. But no, it makes the chicken very juicy. We liked it, and now I’ll cook these kebabs more often.

I recommend trying to cook it. Bon appetit!

Cooking time: PT00H40M 40 min.

Approximate cost per serving: 40 rub.

Cut the prepared poultry into small pieces and sprinkle with a little salt; if desired, you can sprinkle with black pepper.

If you bought bacon in pieces, try to cut it into thin strips/slices. It is more convenient to use bacon when it is ready-cut. Wrap each piece of fillet in bacon.

Place four pieces of fillet on each skewer; the wooden sticks do not need to be soaked or oiled.

Place the kebabs on a baking sheet, which can be lined with foil if desired.
In a small bowl, combine mustard, honey, lemon juice and soy sauce. Stir well. Pour the sauce over the chicken skewers and place in the oven for 15 minutes. Then take out the skewers with the chicken, turn them over, pour the sauce over them again and fry for about 10 minutes, the bacon should be browned. The temperature is set to 200 degrees for the entire cooking time.

While the dish is preparing, chop fresh vegetables for serving and prepare the greens with whole sprigs. If you decide to make a vegetable salad, then season it better with vegetable or olive oil. By the way, a fresh tomato salad or canned tomatoes in slices will go well with chicken skewers cooked in the oven.

I hope you enjoyed today's treat and will definitely prepare it for your family and friends.

Marinated chicken cooks very quickly. Lean breast fillet will go very well with bacon, and under the baked cheese crust the skewers will look amazing! Turmeric and curry will add a pleasant oriental note to the dish.

An individual portion of chicken on skewers is quickly browned in a frying pan, and then the skewers are baked in the oven with cheese.

So, to prepare such a hot appetizer we need:

Ingredients:

  • fresh chicken fillet – 3 pieces;
  • bacon – 200 grams;
  • onion – 1 head;
  • mayonnaise 5-6 tablespoons (can be replaced with kefir);
  • ground red sweet pepper (paprika) – 1 teaspoon;
  • turmeric – 1 pinch;
  • curry – 1 pinch;
  • salt and ground black pepper - to taste;
  • hard cheese – 100 grams;
  • vegetable oil - for frying;
  • wooden skewers for shish kebab.

Cooking process:

Wash the chicken fillet thoroughly in running water and then cut into pieces, preferably square, about 2-3 cm thick.

Next, the chicken pieces need to be marinated; to do this, place the chopped fillet in a suitable deep bowl, add salt and ground black pepper to it to taste, as well as aromatic spices - turmeric, curry, ground sweet red pepper (paprika). In addition, we peel and cut one onion into thin half rings, and also add the onion to the chicken.

Now add mayonnaise to the meat, mix everything well and put our kebab in the refrigerator to marinate for 2-3 hours.

After the time indicated above, remove the marinated fillet from the refrigerator and begin stringing the kebab onto sticks. First, cut the bacon into small rectangular plates, 5-7 millimeters thick.

Thread a piece of chicken onto each skewer, alternating it with slices of bacon.

Next, heat a frying pan with vegetable oil and fry our kebabs on all sides until golden brown over high heat (not until fully cooked).

Then transfer the skewers into a deep baking dish. Ideally, it is desirable that their ends lie on the edge of the form, and the kebab itself does not touch the bottom of the form. Place the kebabs in the oven for 20 minutes, cook at 200 degrees.

When the dish is almost ready, take it out of the oven, sprinkle grated cheese on top, and bake again for literally another 1-2 minutes so that the cheese gets a crust.

Serve ready-made chicken skewers with bacon and cheese crust with baked or boiled potatoes, as well as any sauce, such as adjika or ketchup.

Despite the speed of preparation, the main thing is not to forget that marinating requires additional time. If there are a large number of dishes on the holiday menu, then it is more practical to marinate the meat the evening before.

Thanks to Anna for the recipe and photo.

Bon appetit!
