The status "printed by the manufacturer" means that such a form was not even transferred to the insurer.

Such a check does not give 100% certainty that you have a valid policy in front of you (after all, fraudsters could make a “duplicate” of this form), but it allows you to reject obvious fakes and stolen forms. 2. Find out which car is insured according to a certain form. In addition to the license plate, VIN code or body number, the results show a more detailed status of the form, for example, why exactly the insurance is not valid (the contract could have been terminated ahead of schedule or the insurance policy could have been lost):

3. Find out the OSAGO policy number by state number, VIN or body number + check if the driver is included in the insurance. This check is the reverse of the previous one, here, according to the car, you will find out which insurance company it is insured with, the policy number and its type (limited or unlimited). The VIN check is the most complete. It is searched by license plate only if this information was transferred by the insurer (they do not always do this).

If you recently added someone to your OSAGO policy or made other changes to the data, then according to the standards, insurance companies are required to make changes to the PCA database within 5 days. Therefore, do not be alarmed if after a couple of days the changes have not yet been displayed in the AIS SAR database.

The last check is also useful for checking a used car before buying. After all, the presence of two simultaneously valid OSAGO policies on one VIN number (or GRP) can be a “bell” that a car is a “double”. Insurance companies - current members and observers of the RAMI

Membership in the RAMI is regulated by the Rules of professional activity approved by the Presidium. The union consists of current members and observer members, the main difference between which is the availability of a license for the implementation of OSAGO.

An insurance company applying for membership must meet the following requirements:

  • at least 2 years of experience in voluntary insurance of motor risks, for example, DGO (DSAGO), including full support of concluded contracts and settlement of losses;
  • compliance with insurance laws;
  • recognition and operation within the framework of the Charter of the RSA;
  • accession to an agreement providing for direct settlement of losses;
  • possession of an OSAGO license(for full members).

History of creation

The Russian Union of Motor Insurers was founded on August 8, 2002 with the participation of 48 insurance organizations (most of them were large Moscow companies), and already on October 14 of the same year, the association passed state registration and received the right to officially carry out its activities under Federal Law No. 40 " About OSAGO.

RAMI became the first association to receive the appropriate status of PIC (Professional Association of Insurers) with the support of the Department of Insurance Supervision (one of the subdivisions of the Ministry of Finance). The procedure for accepting new participants and the specifics of membership in the RAMI are determined in a special regulation approved by the Presidium of the organization. At the moment, the following amount of membership fees is determined:

  • 0.5% of the CMTPL fees for insurance companies that are members of the Board of the RAMI (but not less than 6.25 million and not more than 13.5 million rubles);
  • 0.4% of the fees for OSAGO for insurance companies included in the presidium of the RAMI (but not less than 500 thousand and not more than 6 million rubles);
  • 0.3% of the fees for OSAGO for all other members of the union (but not less than 25 thousand and not more than 2.25 million rubles);
