Do-it-yourself petrol brazing torch. Gasoline soldering torch: how to do it yourself

There is a need to warm up, or even melt any part or material. Many models of burners can be purchased in stores, but what self-made person does not try to make the tool he needs with his own hands. The author of this home-made product decided to make a gasoline burner from scrap materials.

Tools and materials
indoor TV antenna;
a jar of baby juice with a lid;
aquarium compressor (external) with a hose;
drill;
drill;
file;
soldering iron;
nail 120;
ball needle;
key head for 4.5.

In the middle of the largest tube, a through hole with a diameter of 4 mm is drilled.

To make a faucet, the author cuts off a 15mm piece from the tube, average in diameter. At a distance of 5mm from the edge, a 3mm hole is drilled.

Puts a piece of the tube on the nail point-blank to the cap. Marks on the nail where the tube hole is. Marks a cut line 4mm below the tube. Drills a hole with a diameter of 2 mm in the nail. Cuts off the nail along the previously marked line.

Inserts a faucet into a hole drilled in a large tube. Aligning the holes in both pipes solders them.

So that the nail does not pop out makes a stopper. Cutting off a piece of 4mm from the middle tube, puts it on a nail inserted into the faucet. Solders the edge of the nail and the cut piece. It is necessary that the nail rotate in the faucet.

Further, in order not to break it, the author inserts a piece of wire into the thinnest tube and bends it around the can, forming a semicircle of 70-80 degrees.

Makes a nozzle. Cuts off the head from the ball needle. Solders the needle at an angle to the semicircular tube. This is done so that you can then insert the nozzle into a large tube.

Marks the hole on the tube with the tap where the nozzle will be inserted, taking into account that the end of the nozzle should stick out from the tube by a couple of millimeters, and the opposite end of the nozzle tube. The excess can be cut off.

Making a hole (not through) inserts the nozzle. If necessary, the edge of the tube can be trimmed. Cuts the edge of the tube into 6 pieces and folds them inward.

Inserts the opposite end and solders both sides of the tube.

Then he makes the burner head. Cutting off 5mm from the key-head, it expands the hole with a drill by 5mm and puts it on the nozzle.

Makes a container for fuel. Drills two 4mm cans into the lids - their holes are opposite each other. Inserts the middle tube into one of them so that it does not reach the bottom of the can by 1 cm. Having moved 2 cm from the lid, it cuts it off. Sawing off another 2.5 cm from the tube, inserts it into the second hole in the lid. Solders the tubes to the lid.

The tube from the compressor is connected to the long tube of the tank, and the burner is connected to the short one.

Among the most useful and functional appliances for the home workshop, the gasoline soldering torch occupies one of the leading places... Such a device is able to qualitatively connect all kinds of metal structures using the technology of using liquid metal. The device operates on the basis of a gasoline-air combustible mixture, which is formed in the burner, and allows further smelting work.

A rotary valve located on the handle acts as a directional control and flame power, which greatly simplifies the combustion process.

Today, metals are smelted using two types of solders:

  1. Fusible.
  2. Refractory.

If, when working with low-melting metals, almost all existing types of soldering irons are used, then in the case of high-melting metals it is necessary to create maximum temperature indicators... In this case, you simply cannot do without the use of a burner. Currently, several varieties of such a universal device are distinguished, which are capable of operating on the basis of different fuel mixtures, but at the same time heating the structure to the desired temperature.

Among the most common and convenient torches are models for soldering and welding, which operate on gas or fuel-air mixture. You can purchase them from the respective store or try create yourself.

Homemade burner: description and characteristics of the device

If we talk about the burner device, then it includes the following units and elements:

  1. The burner itself.
  2. Nozzle.
  3. Conductive tip with electrode wire.
  4. Welding arc.
  5. Welding bath.
  6. Weld.
  7. Base metal.
  8. Drops of electrode metal.
  9. Gas protection.

A simplified version includes a gasoline tank or fuel tank, an air compressor, gasoline hoses and the burner itself, which, in turn, consists of individual parts.

Models used for soldering metals, have the following structural elements:

  1. The body.
  2. Metal sleeve with hook.
  3. By the tube.
  4. A bunch.
  5. Emphasis.
  6. Filler.
  7. A regulating ball (designed to change the air flow).
  8. Rubber O-ring.

If you are going to purchase a torch for brazing and welding, do not forget to pay attention to the availability petrol resistant hoses... In most cases, they are not included in the basic kit, so there is a need for additional purchase of such parts.

The device of gasoline and gas burners very simple, so you can make a structure at home from available tools. However, despite the ease of assembly and the absence of complexities in the configuration of the device, the gasoline burner remains a very valuable tool, which has many undeniable advantages.

  1. Firstly, such a solution has a low weight and compact dimensions, which makes it very convenient for further operation.
  2. Secondly, the creation of a fuel-air mixture allows you to create and maintain a high temperature regime, which is necessary to achieve the maximum quality of the final result.

Do-it-yourself gasoline burner

Not everyone can buy a new burner that runs on gas or a fuel-air mixture, which is related to the relative high cost of the apparatus... And the purchased model does not always cope with the tasks set, especially if it has already been in use. This may be due to the presence of hidden defects or breakdowns.

In order not to become a victim of such an unreasonable purchase, many men prefer homemade solutions that are particularly affordable and easy to assemble. As mentioned earlier, even the most inexperienced welder can easily install such a device from available tools, saving himself from high costs.

If a homemade gasoline burner is made in accordance with the basic rules and recommendations, it should give fire immediately after bringing a lighted match to it. At the same time, stable and steady combustion of the fuel-air mixture will be noticeable for another 3-7 minutes. During the combustion process, it is possible to reach temperatures up to 1000 degrees Celsius. With the help of such a device, you can successfully melt all kinds of solders, including hard ones, as well as metals and glass. In addition, the burner easily solves the problem of heat treatment of small-sized products.

To make a device with your own hands, it is enough to use a number of materials. Among them:

  1. Frame.
  2. A pen.
  3. Sleeve.
  4. Hook.
  5. Emphasis.
  6. A tube.
  7. Balloon.
  8. Ring.
  9. Rubber pear.
  10. Filler.

By the way, it is not necessary to create such elements with your own hands - they are present in many other tools that are available in the home workshop. For example: instead of a rubber bulb, you can apply a spray bottle.

Step-by-step instruction

A lathe is used to grind the body of the future device. Products from different manufacturers are used as steel. Moreover, the body of such an important part make a composite to keep one end open and the other closed with the stopper.

The latter case involves making a hole 0.1 millimeters larger than the outer diameter. Such a nuance will allow the body to move tightly within the tube, while maintaining the necessary tightness.

  1. In the inner part of the body, a ring is fixed, which is made of slag wool or strong metal mesh.
  2. The next step is the manufacture of a stop and a sleeve with a hook, which implies the use of a durable steel sheet. Then a handle for a gasoline burner is cut out of oak or beech.
  3. Then it remains to prepare the tube, very carefully drilling two holes so that they are parallel to each other. The finished product is processed using special sandpaper, covered with colorless varnish in three to four layers.
  4. The final manufacturing step is to prepare the tube. The end of the element is passed through the middle of the body to form a nozzle. With the help of PMTs-54 hard solder, the end of the tube is sealed, and then a hole with a diameter of 0.2 mm is made along its axis.

Solder, if desired, is made made of copper or zinc... In the first case, copper wire is used, which is fired and cut into several lengths using scissors. When choosing the second option, a glass is used from a conventional electric battery, which is pre-cleaned of the contents and hardened by fire. After that, the glass is placed in a container with cold water and a weak solution of hydrochloric acid, after cutting it into small pieces.

Further required combine the pieces zinc and copper in equal proportions, placing them in a crucible and sprinkling with brown. The metals are alloyed on the burner. As a result, the block is cooled, fixed in a vice and leveled with a file. The collected sawdust is collected and mixed with borax.

Other features and methods of creation

It is not always possible to buy a ready-made burner that runs on a fuel-air mixture or gas, which is due to many reasons. Sometimes this is explained by the too high cost of equipment, and sometimes by the banal lack of time to visit the store. Therefore, more and more people are beginning to be interested in the issue of making a burner with their own hands. By the way, home-made solutions look no worse than purchased ones. Their productivity is quite high, and the difficulties in creating practically absent.

As mentioned above, if you bring a lighter or a lighted match to a home-made burner, a fire will immediately flare up from the corresponding window, which will burn for about 5-7 minutes, reaching a temperature of over 1000 degrees Celsius.

Due to these features, the device can be used for productive melting of solid solders, heat treatment of small tools, melting of all kinds of metals, solders, and sometimes even glass.

Most parts of a homemade burner are created on the basis of improvised means, since they can be borrowed from other unnecessary things.

The burner device itself includes:

  1. Frame.
  2. Hook sleeve.
  3. Emphasis.
  4. Pen.
  5. Rubber ring.
  6. Balloon.
  7. Pear (can be taken from a spray bottle).
  8. Filler.

Method # 1

If we talk about this method of making a gasoline burner, then it may be familiar even to those people who have never asked the question of creating similar device... When completing the task, it is required to take two aluminum cans, which must be empty. Cans from beer, condensed milk, "Coca-Cola" and other products will do.

  • After thorough rinsing and drying of the container, you can start working. Four punctures are made in the central part of the bottom of the first can. You can use a nail for this. Similar holes are made around the rim of the can. As a result, it is possible to manufacture the base part, which will supply the fires of the flame.
  • After that, it is required to cut off the part that was made earlier from the rest of the container. The length of the side is three to four centimeters. If you cannot cut the product with ordinary scissors, you will have to use any other sharp object.
  • The next step is to prepare a second can, from which the bottom is simply cut off. Try to do this with the utmost care to prevent chipping. If there are jags, it is enough to grind them off with sandpaper.
  • As a result, it remains only to connect the two parts obtained. By the way, at this stage, novice welders often have difficulties, since the cans have the same diameter and this significantly complicates the work. To solve the problem, it is enough to make a small incision in the side of one of the cans, wrapping the entire structure with aluminum tape to increase the tightness.

To make the gasoline burner ready for operation, it remains to fill it with gasoline, and then heat the area with a lighter. It is better to warm up the burner thoroughly for 5-10 seconds, after which it will be able to maintain an optimal level without your help.

Now you see that it is very easy to create such an indispensable device with your own hands.

Method number 2

Another method is used for the manufacture of burners. It is much more complicated than the previous one, but allows to achieve higher reliability, strength and service life. Therefore, if you put an emphasis on such features, then it is better to make the burner in the second way. True, it will take a lot of effort, patience and time.

So, for the successful manufacture of a structure, you should take:

  1. Compressor. In its capacity, you can use an old car camera, which is constantly pumped up, or a basic compressor from an unused refrigerator (if you have one).
  2. Receiver. Here you can use a conventional plastic canister with a volume of up to 10 liters. You also need to find a dense translucent cork.
  3. Fuel tank. In its capacity, a two-liter metal barrel is used, which will store the fuel mixture.
  4. Burner. This element is either handmade or bought in the appropriate store.

If all the necessary parts are assembled, it remains to follow the instructions and assemble the future device. If you follow the basic rules exactly and follow the step-by-step guide, the end result will exceed all your expectations and you will be pleasantly surprised by the quality of the homemade burner. The main thing is to be ready to devote several hours of time and patience to the upcoming event.

To make a gasoline burner with your own hands, you will need:

  • metal tee, corner, jets, pipe;
  • copper tubes for jets;
  • metal container for petroleum products;
  • compressor with pressure gauge, rubber hose;
  • electric heating ten.
  • taps for supplying oil products and air.
  • metal pipe and burner plate.
  • fastening materials.

To make a mixer, take a regular metal tee. A metal corner must be installed on the side pipe. A jet with a copper tube is screwed into each supply pipe. One serves to supply air to the gasoline burner, and the second to supply oil products.

In this case, a tube with an opening of 0.8 mm is used for air supply, and 2 mm for supplying oil products. At the end, the jet has two diametrically opposite cuts of 1-2mm. The tee is completely hollow and holds about 50 g of oil.

The mixer is installed on a metal container for oil products. the copper pipes for air and fuel supply are retracted. If you have an old gasoline burner, you can take it from it or make it yourself. A hole is cut in the container for the fuel supply pipe.

The design of this tank provides for the presence of a heating element in the lower plane. Teng operates from an external power supply. The end of the oil supply drain pipe is at such a height that the heating element is constantly in the liquid. This is for security reasons.

The gasoline burner is powered through a tap that is installed on the top cover. It opens the direct oil supply to the tee. This makes it possible to regulate the supply of the combustible mixture at a constant air pressure. The working temperature of the combustible mixture for soldering must be within 60 ° C.

To control the temperature of the liquid, a multimeter contact is attached to the side wall of the tank. In this design, the heating is only required before starting work. When brazing begins, the tee temperature ensures that there is sufficient heat.

The working outlet of the burner is made of a metal tube and plate. The nozzle is small. This prevents the adhesion of combustion products on the walls.

To calculate the optimal nozzle length, the spray radius must be determined. And install the nozzle so that only a small percentage of the mixture falls on the edge of the pipe.

The side panel of the petrol tank is equipped with an indicator tube. The points of maximum and minimum filling with oil product are marked on it. The tube itself connects at the bottom of the tank.

For ease of use, an automatic flammable liquid supply system can be connected to the main tank. This will reduce the control over the presence of fuel in the tank.

An air supply hose is connected to the mixer from the compressor. A tap must be installed between the compressor and the hose. This gasoline burner provides an initial compressor pressure of 2 atmospheres.

After opening the valve, the pressure in the system drops to 0.8 atmospheres. But 0.2 will be enough to start a gasoline burner.

The oil supply valve opens and the combustible mixture is ignited. With the help of the air supply valve, the pressure of the flame, which is used for brazing, is regulated.

And the oil supply valve regulates the fuel consumption. Empirically, you can determine the pressure indicator at which the burner flame will break off. The gasoline soldering torch is now ready for use.

Gasoline burners are often used by anglers and tourists. They allow you to cook food in the field, boil drinking water, and are even used as a heater for small spaces.

As such, there are three types of burners on the market:

  • Liquid fuel (run on gasoline or any other type of fuel, often kerosene);
  • Gas;
  • Multi-fuel (use for work various types of both solid and liquid fuels).

Gasoline burners on the tourist and fishing equipment market appeared much earlier than the other two types of devices, but at the same time they are still popular and help out tourists in difficult hiking and field conditions.

It is gasoline burners that demonstrate high efficiency and improved combustion results.

The easiest way to buy such a device is in a store, since modern manufacturers offer a huge selection of devices for every taste and wallet. On the other hand, if you do not need the device on a regular basis, it is cheaper to make a gasoline burner yourself.

Today we will talk about popular methods of making a device from scrap materials, talk about the principle of operation of such a device and the nuances of its use.

Remember that you only need to start making a gasoline burner if you have minimal knowledge in this area, otherwise you should buy a device in a store.

How the device works

A household gasoline burner works in a similar way to a blowtorch:

  1. From a special reservoir, the combustible substance enters the tubular part of the burner (the fuel moves due to the created air pressure). The pressure is created before ignition using a special piston pump, and then it is maintained by heating the device.
  2. The fuel is heated in the tubular part of the burner.
  3. Further, the gasoline evaporates in the tube, and the resulting vapors exit through the nozzle.
  4. Fuel vapors mix with air and burn together with the fire in the burner.

The main condition for the normal operation of a gasoline burner is a high temperature. In this regard, the burner should be warmed up before use. Warming up is also necessary if you have turned off the burner for a while.

Tourist and fishing shops offer an extensive range of gasoline burners, but these are only recommended if used on a regular basis.

Domestic oil burners sometimes use kerosene as fuel in addition to gasoline.

The advantages of a gasoline tourist burner include:

  • The ability to use even at subzero air temperatures;
  • Trouble-free operation at extreme heights;
  • Burner fuel is easy to obtain and inexpensive;
  • Power is 2 times higher than that of gas equipment.

In addition to the advantages, the equipment also has disadvantages:

  • Consists of a large number of parts that are prone to wear and tear;
  • Large weight;
  • The high cost of equipment in stores;
  • Special skills are required when handling the device;
  • Gasoline has a high fire hazard;
  • Difficulty carrying fuel;
  • It is best not to use with poor quality fuel, as there is a danger of explosion.

How to make a gasoline burner

Gasoline burners sold in tourist shops are expensive and require only high quality gasoline to operate. Otherwise, the nozzles will become clogged, which can provoke an explosion of the device.

You can make a gasoline burner yourself, and there are several options for collecting such a device. Consumables from burners that have already been used are often used as parts. If the collection technology is followed, the output is a fairly efficient and fully functional device.

Method 1

To make a homemade gasoline burner you will need:

  • Two cans (both a soda can and a can of canned food will do);
  • A piece of ordinary medical cotton;
  • Petrol;
  • Nail, screw or awl.

A can or soda can is suitable for making a burner.

Manufacturing sequence:

  1. First of all, both jars must be washed and cleaned from dirt with high quality. Next, the top of the soda can is cut off, leaving about 1/3 of the bottom. 4 holes are made in the bottom with an awl, nail or screw. Holes are also made along the entire side perimeter of the can in one row.
  2. The top of the second can is also removed, and the can is installed upside down. Medical cotton wool is placed on the center, and on top, the structure is covered with a soda can prepared in the first step.
  3. Through the holes in the upper can, the cotton wool is soaked with gasoline. As a result, the fuel itself is held by cotton wool, and only vapors are exposed to combustion.

Unfortunately, this burner can be used only once, but this is quite enough for heating food.

Such a burner has a rather simple device, it can be made even in the field, but this type of homemade burners is disposable.

The burner can also be made from two soda cans. Both cans are cut approximately 3 cm from the bottom. One of the cans has slightly curved edges so that it can fit into the other can. A piece of medical cotton is placed inside the cans. The cans are tightly pressed against each other, then a hole is made in the upper part with a needle. Through one of the holes, the cotton wool inside is impregnated with gasoline, it is most convenient to do this with a syringe with a needle. You can watch the video for a more detailed manufacturing process of the device.

Method 2

This method of manufacture is more complicated, but this burner is more practical, and the final design can be reused.

To manufacture the device you will need:

  • A burner purchased from a store or removed from faulty equipment;
  • Car chamber as a compressor (the chamber must be pumped up periodically so that the required air pressure is maintained in the burner);
  • A regular gas canister is used as a fuel tank. In the upper part of the device, two holes are made into which plastic tubes are inserted. The first tube should reach the bottom of the canister, the second should not be lowered below the middle of the tank;
  • For the manufacture of a receiver, an ordinary plastic transparent tank is suitable, which is tightly closed with a lid (it is better to take a tank with a volume of at least 10 liters).

All units of the future gasoline burner are connected with plastic pipes to the fuel tank. The fuel tank is filled with about half of regular gasoline.

It is advisable to install a simple filtering device at the compressor inlet, which will avoid contamination of the burner and extend its life. An ordinary nylon stocking is suitable as a filter.

The device works according to the following principle:

  1. Air from the compressor is supplied to the receiver, where the pressure is stabilized;
  2. Then the air enters the tank with gasoline;
  3. At the exit from the fuel tank, air is mixed with combustible vapors;
  4. The mixture is supplied to the burner; for the homemade primus to work, it is enough to light the burner.

Method 3

To make a burner you will need:

  • A small metal jar (suitable for canned food);
  • Pumice;
  • A small amount of gasoline.

Pumice is stuffed into a tin can and carefully soaked with gasoline

The preparation method includes the following steps:

  1. Pumice is tightly packed into the prepared jar. The material should fill the jar almost to the brim;
  2. The pumice stone is carefully soaked in gasoline. Make sure that the flammable substance does not spill and accidentally soak your belongings;
  3. The burner ignites.

The combustion of such a home-made device lasts about 15 minutes, while a large amount of heat is generated in the process. The torch can be used to cook or heat food, or to heat the tent in extreme conditions.

Features of use

Homemade gasoline burners generally emit a small flame, so they can be used in confined spaces, such as inside a tent. There is not enough fire to cook a full dinner and warm up the tent throughout the night, but at the same time you can always warm up food, boil water and warm up a little before bed.

Using a homemade gasoline burner, watch out for the degree of clogging. To reduce the clogging of the holes and the equipment to work without interruptions, it is better to use gasoline with a higher octane number as a fuel. Special additives can also solve problems with burner clogging.

Remember: so that the device does not let you down at the most inopportune moment, it is worth immediately after use to clean all openings for the outlet of the air-gasoline mixture.

Never try to make a homemade gasoline burner if you have no experience in this area. Improperly assembled equipment is flammable and can cause serious fire and death.

Homemade gasoline equipment is in no way inferior to a store device in some parameters. At the same time, you can make a simple disposable device from scrap materials, but for more serious equipment you will have to buy consumables in the store.

If you often go hiking and fishing, it may be preferable to purchase the device from the store than to pore over making or cleaning it every time. In this case, the device will become a real find in extreme field conditions, when you urgently need to warm up or prepare food.

A gasoline burner for brazing and welding has the sole purpose of making a high-quality connection of various metal parts by using liquid metal. The gasoline soldering device works thanks to the fuel-air combustible mixture that forms in the burner and makes it possible to carry out smelting work.

A rotary valve located on the handle adjusts the direction and power of the flame, which makes the work process even more convenient.

The melting process is carried out by two types of solders: fusible and refractory... While almost any type of soldering iron can be used to work with low-melting metals, it is necessary to create a very high temperature to solder high-melting metals, which can only be done by a torch. There are several varieties of this versatile device that operate on different types of fuel, but all of them allow you to get high temperatures.

The most common and convenient are burners for soldering and welding, operating on a fuel-air mixture and on gas. Such devices can either be purchased at a specialized store or made by hand.

Device and advantages of the device

The gasoline soldering and welding torch has the following constituent parts:

In a simplified version, the device consists of a gasoline tank or a tank for fuel, an air compressor, gasoline hoses and, in fact, the burner itself. The latter, in turn, also consists of several elements.

For soldering metal, it includes the following parts (structural parts):

  • frame;
  • hook bush made of metal;
  • a tube;
  • a bunch;
  • emphasis;
  • filler;
  • a ball that regulates the air flow;
  • rubber o-ring.

When buying a gasoline torch for soldering and welding, do not forget that most often the device does not include gas-resistant hoses and torches, therefore, most likely, they will need to be purchased separately.

Petrol and gas burners arranged quite simply, therefore, they can also be easily made with your own hands at home.

Despite the simplicity of assembly and design of the device, a gasoline torch for brazing and welding has undeniable advantages. Firstly, the small weight and size of the device make it lightweight, portable and convenient to use in work. Secondly, due to the creation of a fuel-air mixture, the device ensures the appearance and retention of a high temperature, which, in turn, guarantees the highest quality result at the end of the soldering process.

DIY gasoline burner for melting

Required parameters and materials

The purchase of a new gas or petrol burner is not always possible due to the relative high cost of the apparatus, while used devices may not bring the expected result due to the presence of hidden defects or breakdowns. For this reason, many men prefer to make a high-quality and inexpensive device with their own hands. As mentioned earlier, even a non-professional welder will be able to build a gasoline burner for melting with his own hands at home, saving a lot of money and spending not much time on it.

If you bring a pre-lit match to a home-made gasoline burner, the fire should instantly flare up and ensure a stable burning of gasoline for 3-7 minutes. In this case, the flame temperature should be more than a thousand degrees. With such a device, without any difficulties, it will be possible to melt various solders (including solid ones) and metals, soften glass, and also perform all kinds of heat treatment of all kinds of small-sized tools.

To make a gasoline burner for soldering and welding with your own hands, you will need the following materials: body, handle, bushing, hook, stop, tube, balloon, rubber ring, rubber bulb and filler.

Many of the above parts of the device do not have to be tinkered by yourself - they can be easily borrow from other instruments... For example, a spray bottle will replace a rubber bulb.

A step-by-step process for making a gasoline burner

The case for the future gasoline device is turned using a lathe, using steel from absolutely any manufacturer. It should be remembered that the body of this important part must be built composite so that one end remains open and the other closed with a plug. A hole needs to be made in the latter with a diameter of 0.1 mm more than the outer diameter of the tube. Due to this nuance, the body will move quite tightly within the tube, but it will retain the necessary tightness.

A ring made of slag wool or metal mesh is also installed inside the body.

The next step is to make a stop and a bush with a hook, which will require a sheet of steel. Then a handle for a gasoline burner must be cut out of oak or beech.

Next, you need to prepare the tube. To do this, you need to very carefully drill two holes so that they are strictly parallel to each other. The finished handle is treated with special sandpaper, and then covered colorless varnish in 3-4 layers.

The last step in making your own gasoline torch for welding and soldering is to prepare the tube. The end of this element must be passed through the middle of the body to form the nozzle. Using PMTs-54 solid solder, which interacts well with steel, the end of the tube should be soldered, and then a hole with a diameter of 0.2 mm should be drilled along its axis.

Solder, if desired, is also made independently from zinc and copper.

To create copper, you need to take copper wire, burn it and cut it with scissors. To create zinc, you need a glass from an ordinary electric battery, which must be freed from the contents and ignited over a fire. Then the glass is dipped in cold water and a weak solution of hydrochloric acid, then cut into small pieces with scissors.

Next, you need to combine pieces of zinc and copper, pouring them into the crucible in equal proportions, and sprinkle them with brown. These metals are alloyed directly on the burner. The resulting block is cooled, fixed in a vice and leveled with a file, while collecting sawdust and mixing them with borax.

Conclusion

A gasoline burner for soldering and welding is easy enough to make with your own hands. Such a device will not be inferior to the purchased one either in quality or in efficiency.
