Wedding disc box. Mk disc box How to make a box of discs

Discs that contain videos and photos are very easy to scratch or damage. For this reason, they must be stored correctly - in a safe and sturdy package.

It is very important that a box or folder for discs not only ensures their integrity, but also pleases the eye. Such packaging can be done independently using a special technique called scrapbooking (from the English "scrap" - to cut, "booking" - book).

The essence of this technique is to create objects from paper that help capture memorable moments, as well as family history.

With the help of scrapbooking, you can create original photo albums, photo frames and postcards. Crafts for the home in the style of scrapbooking will add a touch of joy to your life and comfort in the house.

Today together we will try to make a wonderful scrapbooking box (folder) for CDs, which will decorate your home interior. So what does it take to get the job done?

To create a folder, we need:

  • thick cardboard (base)
  • medium density plain cardboard
  • cardboard with inscriptions
  • blue and pink scrapbooking paper in vintage style
  • square cutout in the form of a frame
  • lace trim
  • stationery knife
  • ruler
  • bulky double-sided tape
  • needle and coarse thread
  • black acrylic paint
  • stamps with letters

Master class with a photo: a box for discs in the style of scrapbooking

First, we need to make the basis for the future box - a folder for disks. It is made of very thick cardboard, which, at the same time, should bend well.

We take thick cardboard, cut it and make two blanks for the base.

The first is the bottom of the folder, the second is the top, which will close the disks in the files. With a soft pencil using a ruler, we apply the appropriate markup: set aside the length, width and height of the base. The place where the disks will be located is marked with two vertical lines. Using a ruler or a pen that does not write, mark the places where the cardboard folds.

Next, we make paper files for the discs. Take medium density cardboard, cut it and apply the markings as shown in the photo. We cut off the excess cardboard with a clerical knife. We bend the edges of the file and glue pieces of double-sided tape on them, along the entire length. We fold and glue the side parts of the file, and fold the bottom and glue it up. We do the rest of the paper files in the same way. You will need several of them. Remember to cut out a semicircle at the top for easy folding.

We stick scotch tape on each file and "collect" them. To do this, take the base of the folder and place all the paper files there, gluing them on the sides. The bottom of the folder is ready. Now let's start decorating the upper part (lid).

Top of scrapbooking box is made like this.

Take the blue scrapbooking paper and cut out a rectangle to fit the front of the folder. In the center we will have a window in a curly frame, so we also cut out a small square from pink paper. We glue it to the blue rectangle. Then we take a curly white clipping and make out the frame in the window using glue.

For additional decor, carefully sew a pink rectangle made of paper with a coarse thread along the edge. We glue it to the front of the workpiece. Cut out two leaves from cardboard with inscriptions and place them in the center of the window. Attach a white paper flower there.

Cut out three small rectangles. Then we apply letters with black acrylic paint (any inscriptions are possible) and make pockets in the center. We decorate the bottom of the lid with lace.

The top of the lid is ready. When all the elements adhere well, you can connect the top and bottom of the disc box. We put the disks in it, close the lid and use it as directed.

It's all! Wonderful box - scrapbooking style CD folder is ready. Surely, it will become an interesting decoration for the room and desk.

Ideas where to put the boxes from disks, or rather, where did I put them
1. Postcard packaging
If you decorate such a box, you get a postcard that can be put as a frame,
this time. And in it you can put something suitable in size as a mini-gift - that's two.

2. Mini mirror.
Paint over with acrylic paint, decorate / I used a printout / paint, glue a mirror and beads - oops! ready!

3. My very first ideas. 2007 yet. On February 23, a heap of men urgently need a gift / and where did I get so many of them from? I bought the discs with printouts. I bought cheap Chinese alarm clocks. Cut out the middle for the clock in the DVD box. glue the clockwork on one side - the disc on the other. decorate with shell mosaics. We cover with varnish. Everything.

4. Also DVD discs, the same watch. The same for men. But ... we already decorate with coffee beans and jute twine

5. And here's a vase.
We glue the disks with a glue gun with edges to each other in the shape of a triangle. I did it in three rows. And then we will decorate as we want. I used napkin technique and shells
I pasted a plastic bottle inside.

Good evening girls and boys :))

Here I have prepared my first master class for you! I am very worried if I will like it, did I do everything right, did I write it clearly and are the photos good ... eh :)) Well, until I show you, I don’t know the verdict%)) So today we will make just such a box for a disc with wedding photos: )

The thing of laconic design, everything is how I love and the photographer Yulia Gorbunova, by whose order this box was made :)
So what we need:

Instruments

  • metal rulers: large (50cm) and small (20cm).
  • scissors for tape and paper (with blue handles) and for scotch tape (with black handles)
  • glue Moment-Crystal
  • toothpick
  • stationery knife (I just love the tools of the Japanese manufacturer OLFA)
  • double-sided tape, wide (5cm) and narrow (9mm)
  • lighter
  • tweezers with long flat halves
  • bone for creasing
  • ordinary narrow scotch tape (1cm)
  • self-restoring rug (I have OLFA A2 format - awesome :))))
  • pencil (forgot to put on the photo)
  • a needle or pin (also not pictured)
Maybe you can do without some of the tools from this set, but I really love my tools and try to use them more often! :))

Materials (edit)

  • binding board 1.5mm
  • base paper (box pasting)
  • scrap paper for cover decoration
  • plastic disc holder
  • ribbon (for tying the box)
  • any decor to your taste (not everyone can be as laconic as me%))))

It seems that that's all. I also prepare a printout of a plate with the names of the couple (at the request of the customer), and the "flyleaf", if I may say so, with the customer's logo :))

Let's get started!

1. First you need to determine the size of the box. To do this, we measure our disc holder, if available :) The size of my holder is 13.7x12.4cm. We add 0.3 cm along the perimeter and get the base size of 14.3x13cm. Holder thickness 3.5 mm ... round up to 5 mm.
We get two parts of the crust 14.3x13cm and the spine 13x0.5cm (if you do not have a ready-made holder, or it is small and round like a button, then you can make the size of the crust based on the diameter of the disk). We cut out the crust and spine from the cardboard and put them in a row, leaving 4mm gaps between the parts (these are two thicknesses of our cardboard (1.5mmx2) + 1mm). We fix it with ordinary tape from below and from above

2. Prepare the paper for pasting. We measure a strip of 1.5 cm along the bottom and draw a line with a bone for scoring. We glue the crusts + spine with double-sided tape as shown in the photo below (the side where there was no tape before). Then we peel off the protective papers from the scotch tape and, stepping back 1.5 cm from the left, glue it onto a sheet of paper, combining with the punched line from below

3. Pieces of scotch tape, which were used to fix the structure, carefully peel off. We cut the sheet around the cardboard boxes, retreating 1-1.5 cm along the perimeter (if the paper for pasting is thin or medium density, then 1 cm can be dispensed with, but if it is 250-300 g thick, then it is better to leave a margin of 1.5 cm)

4. Cut off the excess at the corners. We make the cuts at 45 degrees to the sides of the rectangle, departing from the corner of the cardboard by about 2.5 mm (the thickness of the cardboard is 1.5 mm + a little margin). We crease the base along the perimeter of the cardboard rectangle and bend it along the creasing lines

5. Glue a narrow double-sided tape along the long sides, slightly going beyond the corners. Then I iron the scotch tape with a creasing bone for a stronger adhesion (as it seems to me)

6. Glue the long sides, glue the corners as shown in the photo (I also iron the ends of the part with a crease for greater beauty and clarity of lines). We glue the tape on the short sides of the rectangle, not reaching the corners of about 1 cm

7. Glue the short sides, iron the ends and "folds" with a crease for better adhesion of the adhesive tape.

8. Admiring the neat corners :))) We take out our tape, iron it and take measurements :)) The "height" of the crust is 13.0 cm, the width of the tape is 2.8 cm (I forgot to iron the tape at this stage and ironed it at the end)

9. We need to position the ribbon in the center of the crust. To do this, we do some simple calculations.
13.0-2.8 = 10.2cm; 10.2 / 2 = 5.1cm;
We measure 5.1 cm from the bottom of the crust and put marks with a pencil in several places (but not closer than 5 mm to the edges of the crust on the left and right). We glue pieces of scotch tape (approximately 3 cm each) on the left, right, along the spine (from the pencil marks up), and approximately in the middle of each half of the crust

10. Measure out about 80cm of tape. Bend it in half to mark the middle. We glue the tape, focusing on the marks (and the bottom of the side and central adhesive tape pieces) and the spine (here is the middle of the tape, as you understand). If you are planning to sew on decorations or brads, then now you need to sew and install them! :))
We are preparing a "flyleaf", if you can call it that. To do this, we measure our crust along the short and long sides. Then we subtract 0.6 cm from the resulting lengths (that is, 0.3 on each side), and cut out the paper of the desired size (I have this printout with the logo)

11. Trying on the flyleaf to the crust. We apply so that there is an equal distance around the perimeter (that is, 0.3 cm). We put light marks with a needle (but to see later) along the upper cut of the endpaper, along the very corners and on the spine

12. Glue a narrow double-sided tape around the perimeter to the inside of the flyleaf. It is imperative to stick to the crust on the spine and in several places on the halves of the crust (I tried my best and pasted everything%))))

13. Peel off the protective papers from the scotch tape, and glue the endpaper in place, focusing clearly on our needle marks in the corners and the spine! With our hands (clean!) We smooth the endpaper as it should :)) Then, with the blunt side of the crease, we properly iron the spine.
(if you decorated the cover in step 12, then go to step 19)

14. Designing the cover. We measure in width and height. We get a width of 14.5 cm and a height of 13.0 cm

15. We do the next simple calculations and cut out two rectangles 13.9x12.4cm from scrap paper. We try on the cover, prick the needle marks (with the folded cover), glue the adhesive tape on the back

16. We glue, focusing on the needle marks, Admiring :))

17. Making a beautiful multi-layered card (I have the names of the newlyweds). To do this, we prepare a printout (it is printed on the same paper with which the crust was pasted over), scrap paper, a piece of paper for pasting. We glue the printout on scrap paper, retreating the distance you need (I have about 1.5mm). Then we cut off the two remaining sides with the same indentation (it's easier to make the same small indentation than if you cut out the backing a little more than the printout and then try on and glue it)

18. Repeat the same procedure one more time (with pasting paper). The card is ready!

19. We will glue the card in the center of the box. To do this, we do calculations, try on, outline, glue :) Then we prepare the holder and the Moment-crystal. Apply a drop of glue with a toothpick to 4 corners of the holder, try on (in the first paragraph, we calculated 0.3 cm from all sides of the holder), glue it to the inner right side of the crust

20. Iron the ribbon (if it has been wrinkled in the process, or if it has not been ironed before). We fold the box, fold the pieces of tape together and cut them obliquely together. Then, using tweezers with a flat long nose and a lighter, I process the edges of the ribbons (I clamp them in the tweezers so that 0.5-1mm of the cut protrudes and I singe it; the cut is very even and not loose).

A wedding is a very magical and romantic celebration in the life of every young couple. For most, a wedding is considered as a holiday and an event that happens once and for a lifetime. Therefore, you understand that you need to prepare, organize and conduct it at the highest level so that it will be remembered for a lifetime. There is a lot of preparation and organization for a wedding celebration, so you need to think over everything in advance so that you do not have to run in a hurry later. It is best to ask for help from specialists who exactly deal with the holidays, their preparation, design and full implementation. But, as far as the wedding is concerned, there are much more nuances and all sorts of little things that are best taken into their own hands and, for example, the bride herself can do it. We are talking about wedding invitations, mini-gifts for guests, they are also called the so-called bonbonnieres, seating cards, guest lists, etc. These are very important little things, so it's better to do them yourself. At any wedding, there must be a video photographer who captures and films the most notable moments that occur at your celebration. And after years, together you will be able to watch your wedding and remember what a happy and romantic day it was. The video is stored on disk, which must be carefully stored so as not to spoil the shooting. The bride can take on this part and make a very beautiful box for a handmade wedding disc. So, to make it, we need to take:
Binding cardboard, two sheets 15 * 15 cm;
Two sheets of A4 watercolor paper;
Two sheets of paper for scrapbooking from Evgeniya Kurdibanovskaya from the collection "Love and Doves", sheets of 30 * 30 cm;
Metal corners for gold 4 pcs;
Border hole punch;
Hollow cut out pink heart;
Picture with swans;
Happy Wedding Stamp, pink ink;
Roses made of polymer clay of white and peach flowers;
Pink poppy;
Pink-peach roses and forget-me-nots;
Pink double lace;
White ribbon with fabric roses;
Cutting down paper butterflies;
Leaflets;
Half beads;
Satin ribbon light pink with polka dots;
Double-sided tape, glue gun, pencil, ruler, PVA glue, scissors.

So, first we need to make the very base of the box. We apply binding cardboard to a sheet of watercolor paper.

We retreat around the perimeter 1.5 cm. We do the same with the second sheet of cardboard paper. We cut off the excess and get squares 18 * 18 cm from watercolor. Now we press the cardboard with one hand and with the end of the scissors we pass along the perimeter of one and the second squares. This is what we make the bend lines.

At the corners, we retreat on both sides by 3 cm, then we connect the corner lines and make cuts.

We bend all sides. With strips of scotch tape we glue these blanks onto the binding cardboard.

The sides that we bend are glued with PVA glue. We got these squares. Now they need to be glued together. We cut off two strips 3 * 15 cm. We divide them by 1.3 * 0.4 * 1.3 cm and also we crease.

We glue one strip from above, the second from below, thus we connect the squares, we get, as it were, a little book.

Cut out 4 squares of 15 * 15 cm from white-pink scrap paper. Cut out two rectangles 7.5 * 15 cm from another paper. At the top we glue paper lace with PVA.

Glue the rectangle pockets to the squares along the edges.

Cut off the front and glue a strip of tape for tying. We glue squares with pockets inside the scrap. We decorate one of the front squares: we glue the picture and the inscription and sew them with a typewriter.

Now we glue both front parts and sew on both sides of the box from the outside.

Hello dear subscribers and readers of the blog site. Today I have prepared a small video lesson (master class) for you from which you will learn how to make a box for a dvd disc do it yourself.

As I promised earlier, I bring to your attention a new lesson from the rubric, where I will share with you information about how I am now doing beautiful boxes for disks.

Manufacturing DIY disc boxes does not pose any particular problem. The most important thing is high-quality consumables and tools, and you will learn the rest of the tricks and subtleties from my next video. Enjoy your viewing.

How to make a box for a DVD disc with your own hands

As you may have noticed the box is not finished yet, it remains only to glue the special fasteners for the disk, the so-called CD-spider... I don’t have them yet, but from day to day I have to receive a parcel from the online store mtk-design.com, where I ordered a package of Cd-spiders.

P.S. Do not forget that you can rate the lesson by clicking on the star next to the title, and also save this page to your social network so that it does not get lost over time.

That's all for me. Until next time friends.
